God's forgiveness towards Sin

Today's message was on towards God's forgiveness of Sin.
We know that from the scripture that God is a very merciful, graceful and loving God and because of His character we are able to stand before Him as righteous due to Christ Jesus sacrificial offering on the cross.

In Ephesian 4: 31 Let all bitter, sharp and angry feeling, and noise, and evil words, be put away from you, with all unkind acts; 32 And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.

Here Paul is writing this letter to the people of Ephesa to make them able to love one another and forgive one another.
How does God forgive ?
By forgetting what we have Sin against Him. He never remember our Sin. So, we should also forgive other by forgetting what people have done to us.....

It was really a very important topic in today's world where couples are not able to consider their spouse as himself or herself. We really need to put a second thought referring what the Bible has said regarding the Husband and Wives relationship. Woman was made out of man when Adam was made asleep by taking out a rib by his side. It is really true that every husband should never keep their wives under their feet.

When people can't consider and love their own spouse as themselves then how can they hope for a better society. Quiet True.......

Unforgiveness

There are lots of churches in which members are always not able to forgive others. This is not scriptural. Majority of the christian are accusers of others. They always find faults of others and blame others. But from the Bible we are told that we should forgive others as we have been forgiven. If we are not able to forgive others, how can we go to heaven. That's impossible.

Matt 26:28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 5:31 God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

Acts 10:43 To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

Acts 13:38 Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Besides all these scriptures, there are so many on forgiveness. So, let's try to forgive each other.

Walking in Love Contd..

Christian need to first look forward to live in harmony with each and every members of the different denominations. They need to walk in love with one another. There are so many denominations who prompt themselves to be the best churches in the world. However, there is no best church in the world except the one led by the Holy Spirit of Christ, the Lord and Saviour.

This is to alert the most dominant christian churches in the world to be let led by the Holy Ghost. Unless one church is filled with the Spirit, it can't claim to be the best out of the many. As we are told by Paul. We should try to acheive Love at the Highest.

When I read Galatians

In the book of Galatians, Paul is really very much concerned about the fight in believers' life about Law and Grace.

Present day Christendom is divided on being under law, under grace and when not under both, one becomes under flesh. It is really very dangerous. At least, we should be under law, if we are not able to be under Grace. But, in the scripture, it is clearly said that "The Galatians had turned from faith in the finished work of Christ alone, and were now caught up in all the rites and ceremonies of the old covenant trying to justify themselves before God without Jesus. This is what happened to the Jews. They also rejected Christ, so God rejected them. And this is what will happen to all who try to justify themselves before God without Jesus (CP Ro 9:30-33)."

Why people observed Fathers' Day and from when onward was it started to be observed?

Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. Many countries celebrate it on the third Sunday of June, but it is also celebrated widely on other days. Father's Day was created to complement Mother's Day, a celebration that honors mothers and motherhood.

Father's Day was inaugurated in the United States in the early 20th century to complement Mother's Day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting.

After the success obtained by Anna Jarvis with the promotion of Mother's Day in the US, some wanted to create similar holidays for other family members, and Father's Day was the choice most likely to succeed. There were other persons in the US who independently thought of "Father's Day", but the credit for the modern holiday is often given to Sonora Dodd, who was the driving force behind its establishment.

Father's Day was founded in Spokane, Washington at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd, who was born in Arkansas. Its first celebration was in the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910.Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there. After hearing a sermon about Jarvis' Mother's Day in 1909, she told her pastor that fathers should have a similar holiday honoring them. Although she initially suggested June 5, her father's birthday, the pastors did not have enough time to prepare their sermons, and the celebration was deferred to the third Sunday of June.

It did not have much success initially. In the 1920s, Dodd stopped promoting the celebration because she was studying in the Art Institute of Chicago, and it faded into relative obscurity, even in Spokane.^[5] In the 1930s Dodd returned to Spokane and started promoting the celebration again, raising awareness at a national level.^[6] She had the help of those trade groups that would benefit most from the holiday, for example the manufacturers of ties, tobacco pipes, and any traditional present to fathers.^[7] Since 1938 she had the help of the Father's Day Council, founded by the New York Associated Men's Wear Retailers to consolidate and systematize the commercial promotion. Americans resisted the holiday during a few decades, perceiving it as just an attempt by merchants to replicate the commercial success of Mother's Day, and newspapers frequently featured cynical and sarcastic attacks and jokes. But the trade groups did not give up: they kept promoting it and even incorporated the jokes into their adverts, and they eventually succeeded.By the mid 1980s the Father's Council wrote that "(...) [Father's Day] has become a 'Second Christmas' for all the men's gift-oriented industries.

A bill to accord national recognition of the holiday was introduced in Congress in 1913. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson went to Spokane to speak in a Father's Day celebration^[13] and wanted to make it official, but Congress resisted, fearing that it would become commercialized. US President Calvin Coolidge recommended in 1924 that the day be observed by the nation, but stopped short of issuing a national proclamation. Two earlier attempts to formally recognize the holiday had been defeated by Congress. In 1957, Maine Senator Margaret Chase Smith wrote a proposal accusing Congress of ignoring fathers for 40 years while honoring mothers, thus "[singling] out just one of our two parents". In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnsonissued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers, designating the third Sunday in June as Father's Day.Six years later, the day was made a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.

In addition to Father's Day, International Men's Day is celebrated in many countries on November 19 for men and boys who are not fathers.

When life becomes dull, it's nice to praise the Lord at most High. When we become hopeless, Jesus is so near to us. He is so hopeful and faithful that we should never go hopeless. There are so many turning points in life. One become jobless, other become departed from his church, some other got involved in his own business, so that he has no time to make a visit at his friend's house. In the middle of the dusty world, how beautiful is the life, the life with Holy Spirit, who have been promised by Jesus to accompany us throughout our entire life. when our family or friends leave us.

O Lord! How deep is your Love. No one can give so much love as you have given us.

Today's Bible Lesson:

Today's Message was on "Walking in Love" - One who is in love of other never speaks ill of the other. Instead he finds out the the very best of him and reveals to others. When we were born in Christ, we inherited our heavenly father's character. And the best of His character that we inherited is LOVE.

Another thing is that we shouldn't be a gossiper or a listener to others' gossiping. It ends up in quarrel.

Human Being made in the image of God

BODY, SPIRIT AND WORKS
James 2:26 says, “for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

What we see here are so many things.

When your spirit leaves your body, your body dies. 2 Cor. 5:8 says that to be absent (you the spirit) from the body is to be present with the lord.

In the same way (it says) faith without works is dead (faith). Or to say it another way, you can know and believe in your mind what the word of God says, but if you don’t believe it in your heart and act upon it (works), your faith is worthless, totally ineffective (as good as dead).
Works are also “good works” that is to say doing what Jesus said to do and doing the same things (works) that Jesus did during his earthly ministry – teaching, preaching and healing.

Last night, Manipuri Presbyterian Church leaders stayed at Rev. L. Gourango's Residence with his death body.

Today, at 10:00 a.m. 1st Funeral Service was held at his residence with many other church members and leader, after which we had a photo session. Then at around 11:30, his body was carried till Ngangkha Presbyterian Church. On the way, Ningthoukhong Presbyterian Church Leaders and Members received us. At Ngangkha, another service was observed with the Leaders of PCI and many other leaders from Tuitaphai Presbytery and other denominations. Finally, his body was taken to the cemetery to be buried with his family members.

For his funeral, Mizoram Synod sanctioned the cost of his Coffin which costed Rs. 8,000/- and the charges for hiring vehicles and every other charges needed.

On behalf of Manipuri Presbyterian Church (Former Meitei Presbyterian Church) who didn't want to become Meitei Synod unlawfully.......

Today, the 7th June 2013, Rev. L Gourango Singh, First Meitei Presbyterian Pastor left for his heavenly abode at his residence, Sagolband Moirang Hanuba, Imphal. He was suffering from Liver Problem for long time. He was repeatedly admitted at the hospital and at last doctors adviced the family members to let him stay at home.

His funeral Ceremony will be held at Presbytery Cemetery, Ngangkha Moirang tomorrow.

Shattered Dreams

With a very high hope I felt very much proud of being a part of Meitei Presbyterian Singlup. Now, I know this is the reality in the present world. Each and every denomination are very much triggered by their own dogmatic dogtrines and administrations.

It was very unfortunate for MPS to come to an end. No doubt, it has almost come to an end. Many churches are being locked up like Keinou Presbyterian Church at Bishnupur without any member to hold fellowship there and it is heard that some local people use the Church Varenda for this leisure. My goodness, what a tragedy it is.....

Oh Lord, You know everything, Satan will certainly be bound after the armageddon and thrown into the lake of fire. May your Mighty Hands be always upon every members of MPS and other churches also and may your spirit guide us in the very truth that you want....

Today, a lady of 50 gave a very striking testimony about the changed life of her husband. Her name is Moirangthem Ibeni from Khongman, a Headmistress in a Govt. School.

Once her husband was a drunkard and she used to even buy him drinks for he couldn't bear the pain without wine. So, she even carried him at the back of her scooter searching for a peg or two even late at night. She even visited her acquaintances late at night in search of wine.

Later, on a journey towards bangalore, she faced so many hardship for the treatment. Then, at St. George Christian Hospital, Bangalore, she was touched by Jesus and everyday she used to call out His mighty name for help. Her husband is now out of the bondage of wine and praisefully she gave her testimony that her husband is healthier and looks younger than her also.

Praise God, what a touch you've given them.....

Now, the things have completely changed. Meitei Presbyterian Singlup who didn't want to immediately become a Meitei Synod has changed its name as MANIPURI PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

It has observed its annual conference at Ngangkha Presbyterian Church, Moirang. It was really a very good and spirit filled congregation.

By the way, this is the time for looking towards our spiritual growth...

May the mighty hands of our LORD be always upon us all..
