There we saw a lot of animals that I have never seen when I was young. One of the animals they got was big turtle and I didn't know the name until I do my research today. The Galapagos tortoise is what I seen. They are really big and modest animals, as matter of fact I petted them when I saw them. This species live of all vertebrates averaging over 100 years. The oldest on record lived to be 152 years. Wow, I wish people live that long too. Galapagos tortoises are the world's largest tortoises with some specimens exceeding 5 feet in length and reaching 550 pounds.

The Tortoise played an important role in the Theory of Evolution. The islands common name is Spanish for saddle, referring to the shape of the Galapagos tortoise shell. When Charles Darwin, visited the Galapagos Islands, the vice-governor of the Island told him that he could identify what island the tortoise was from simply by looking at him. The different shapes of the giant tortoises on the various Galapagos islands was one of the findings that led Charles Darwin to develop the theory of evolution through natural selection. The theory is that some of the tortoises were probably taken by whaling ship that sailed from Floreana via the relatively remote Volcano Wolf in rout to multi-year cruises in the pacific looking for sperm whales. In July 2008, tortoise eggs were discovered in the pin that George shares with his companions. The world awaited to see if George would produce offspring, however in early December it was determined the eggs were not fertilized and George remains the last of his kind. The pictures I uploaded here were the pictures my husband and I taken at Tulsa Zoo during his vacation.

This species know as St.Bernard's Lily, is an upright plant, growing from 18 to 24 inches high and 12 inches wide. Anthericum is a genus of about 300 species, rhizomatous perennial plants in the family Agavaceae. If you are planning to plant anthericum, remember that it is useful for lawn vases, for borders that are protected in winter at the North, for greenhouses and also for growing under benches. It needs plenty of water during blooming time. The anthericum is native in Southern countries and is widespread in Central Asia and Russia.

To Grow The Anthericum

Plant them in sunny areas and calcareous soils, on semiarid grasslands, slopes and forest edges. This plant is trim and neat with tidy firm basal foliage that is beautiful in it's own right starting in July, erect, wiry branched stems sport flurries of starry white flowers, each with a yellow ovary and sporting yellow anthers. This species bloom throughout the summer, growing to about 2' -3 tall and is a visual delight on sunny days when the reflect white flowers open.

They only occur in the Galapagos Islands, with 90% of the population being restricted to the western islands of Fernandina and Isabella. This bird is the third smallest penguin in the world, averaging only 48-53 cm in the height and ranging in weight from 1.7 to 2.6 kg.

The color of Galapagos Penguin

The adult Galapagos penguins are mainly black in color with white accenting colors on various locations of the body and a large white frontal area. As in all banded penguins, the head is black with a white mark that begins above both eyes and circles backwards, downwards, and forward to the throat. They have the narrowest head stripe and least distinctive patterning within the genus. They have a small black throat collar.

The Reproduction of Galapagos Penguins

Most penguins have a distinct annual breeding season at a particular time of year, but the Galapagos penguins does not. Galapagos penguins may produce as many as three clutches in a single year, although it is more usual that a pair will produce only one clutch and possibly a second within a year. The pair bonds are for life, enabling these birds to begin breeding quickly when conditions improve. The bond is reinforced by mutual preening and bill tapping or fencing. Two eggs are produced at interval of around four days. As for the incubation it takes up to 40 days and is shared by partner. The baby penguins fledge after 65 days.

The History of Galapagos Penguin

As what I wrote above the Galapagos penguin is the third smallest species and lives farther north than any other penguin. The 90% of this bird live among the western islands of Fernandina and Isabella. They can also be seen on Santiago, Bartolommeo, North Santa Cruz, and Floreana. They breed mainly in caves or crevices of old lava flows and in burrows.

The Prey and Predators of Galapagos Penguin

Prey consists of a wide variety of squish, shrimp, krill and fish. Check custom tarps and save money

My husband and I live out in the country. Our house is surrounded by trees and it is difficult for us to protect our vehicles when snow or other bad weather comes. In fact last week we got some snow, and the new car we bought last summer was fully covered with snow and ice for several days. My husband and I have been worried about our vehicles not having protection. As a matter of fact we are planning to build a shop building for our vehicles someday, but since we can’t afford that right now I’m sure that buying a tarp would be a great help for us to use as a temporary protection for our automobiles. I know how much it costs to build a shop building these days. In fact last month my husband was calling metal building contractors to check the prices on a new shop building. Unfortunately we can’t afford the price, if I remember right it was 8-9 thousand dollars or more. Heck no, there is no way we can afford to spend that much money for a shop building right now, so tarps are the only way for us right now to keep our cars protected from the elements.

Thank you to the computer and internet.Today I found an online store where my husband and I can save a whole lot of money. They have the largest selection of professional tarps available where we can buy custom tarps at the lowest prices. So if you are in need of tarps, I suggest that you check them out today. With them you can find the exact sizes of tarp that you need because in addition to having pre-made tarps, you can also get custom made tarps. By shopping at mytarp.com you can save a lot of money as they have low prices and the largest selection everyday.

I agree it is beautiful bird and I am fascinated with birds. If you haven't seen Galah here I tell you how to identify them. The plumage of the Galah is gray and they have pink feathers covering their heads as well as a crest of a lighter pink and sometimes white feathers. Both male and female Galahs look the same and can only be differentiated by the color of their irises. The male has brown irises while the female are red. The eggs are incubated for about 25 days, and both the male and female share the incubation. The chicks leave the nest about 49 days after hatching. This species are highly social and very long lived though they are sometimes kept as pets. I like birds and if I decide to have one I will pick this bird as it is one of the friendly birds. Both male and female are great talkers, but the male is thought to be the better talker. It is one of t he very loving and affectionate birds that have a tendency to purr like cats as a sign of their affection. Wow, the more I know about this bird the more fall in love. Based on my research, they form a very strong bond with their owner and like to think of themselves as part of the family. Galahs eat a variety of seeds that they find on the ground but also like to attack crops of wheat and oats. On some occasions they will also eat small insects and fruits.

These include carrots, parsnips, parsley, coriander, dill, chervil, celery, anise, cumin, and asafoetida, to mention a few. To identify this plants, it looks like a carrot plant with one small exception. There is some sweetness in Angelica's flowering stalk, which may be peeled and cooked, or , as often suggested, candied. This flowering plants has been used to flavor Vermouth and Chartreuse. Angelica is a very useful plants, it is known as a good remedy for colds, coughs, pleurisy, wind, colic, rheumatism and diseases of the urinary organs, though it should not be given to patients who have a tendency towards diabetes as it causes an increase of sugar in the urine.

If you are sick and taking medicine and seems there is no change about your sickness try Angelica it is use to cure for many sickness such as chronic bronchitis, cough, colic pain and nervous migraines. I don't always notice when I have a problem with one of my babies until it is too late. I need to start wearing glasses when I garden so I can take better care of my plants, but I don't want expensive glasses that I may drop or break while doing my work. What I need is some cheap eyeglasses.

I found a place on the internet that sells high quality eyeglasses for as little as $6.95. That is pretty hard to believe I know, but Zenni Optical has eyeglasses that will meet any criteria you need, all at prices that will blow your mind. The reason they can sell their products so cheaply is that they cut the middle man completely out by producing their own eyeglasses. Surprisingly for the price, they use the lastest modern materials and manufacturing techniques. The end result is stylish eyeglasses that are very high quality, that you would expect to pay much more for. Zenni doesn't sell eyeglasses made by other manufacturers, so you are not paying exorbitant amounts for a name.

Eyeglasses are not only necessary for some of us, they are also a fashion statement. Different fashions, different eyeglasses. Unfortunately for most of us, we can't usually afford several pairs of eyeglasses to accentuate our wardrobe. Now we can; Zenni has made sure of that for us. People talk about meth, cocaine, marijuana, and many others, but in my opinion the most abused drug is one that we often ignore; alcohol. Why do we tend to accept alcohol and keep it legal while other drugs are illegal? I think the answer is that alcohol is so widely abused that it pertains in some way to nearly all of us, including our law makers and enforcers. Probably a good many of our politicians could use a good addiction treatment program to help them get their lives back together. Hmmm I wonder if that could be what's wrong with our government? It sometimes seems that something must be clouding their collective minds.

Alcohol is a dangerous drug that in my opinion should be just as illegal as other harmful, addictive drugs. I know too many people personally that are addicted and ruining their lives. Too many families have suffered or been broken by it; too many lives have been lost due to drunken drivers. Alcohol is so hard to quit that often a person may have to check into a drug rehab center to help them kick the habit. Our society has so many quirks; often dangerous or addictive things are simply accepted, but we may have groups fighting against other things that are comparatively harmless. Go figure, but this is America, and so far at least we have the freedom to say what we think.

One of the species name is Ferruginous hank. Some people says that hawk is a bird of prey. I believe what people say because I saw hawk carrying grown chicken when I was young. The hawk are masters at soaring for long periods of time. There are twelve species of buteos breed in North America and North of the Mexico border. The ferruginous hawk is the largest buteo in North America averaging 22.5-25" long, and the with a 53-56" wingspan. Perched birds have a white breast and body with dark legs. The back and wings are brownish rush color. The head is white with a dark streak extending behind the eye. The wing tips almost reach the tip of the tail. Ferruginous hawks are the arid and semiarid grassland regions of North America. The countryside is open, level, or rolling prairies, foothills or middle elevation plateaus largely devoid of trees, and cultivated shelterbelts or riparian corridors, shallow canyons, rock outcrops and gullies may characterized some habitats. The behavior of this species are; they are active, with slow wings beats much like that of a small eagle. Soaring with the wings held in a strong dihedral has been noted, as well as gliding with the wings held flat, or in a modified dihedral. They hunts small to medium sized mammals but will also take birds, reptiles, and some insects. The prey of this species are; human, wild cat. sneaks, lions, and more. Remember that these birds search for prey while flying over open country or from a perch. So here I am sharing and writing what I found during my search. The Coke's hartebeest is also called kongoni. It is found on the open grassy plains and tree grasslands in the Southern Kenya and Tanzania. It is a large, fawn-colored antelope that at first glance seems strangely misshapen and less elegant than other antelopes. These species often mingle with herbs of other antelope or zebras. The height of this species is 4 feet tall at the shoulder, and the back slopes downward from heavy forequarters to narrow hindquarters. The hartebeest is resembles as as hoarse with horns. It has very long face and a small hump between the shoulders, its coat is fawn or reddish and thou ringed horns curve up and inward in a shape. The scientists differ about the classification of the hartebeest. Some consider the group to have several geographic representatives of the same species, while others think it represents different species. Hartebeest are mainly found in the medium and tall grasslands, including savannas. This animals is one the most sedentary antelopes but it does move around more when larger groupings form during the dry seasons or in periods of drought, to seek water and better grazing.

The predators of hartebeest are Cheetahs, jackals, lions, hyenas, hunter dogs, people and leopards. Hartebeest drink water daily, though under drought conditions it can withstand long period without water. I like this animals but I'm also scared about it because of its long horn.

Today, when he gets home I will tell him about these residential address plaques that I found online. I know that he will love to see them and we might buy one someday. We got another thing to buy too and that is a mailbox. Until now my husband and I are still relying a post office mailbox. I get tired of it, in fact I always wish to have our mailbox in our drive way so our mail is easier to check. I know having a mailbox put in our drive is a whole lot better than having our mailbox in the post office because we live in a rural area and it’s a long drive to town. If you are also in need of mailboxes and address plaques, now is the time to buy. The custom address plaques that I found today are high quality and come at the lowest prices. They have the following categories to choose from: Residential address plaques, commercial address plaques, address numbers, address posts and much more. Wow, good news; you can also get personalized address plaques to make your address unique. And if you want to find your favorite manufacturer there is no problem at all because you can shop by brand. It is a great site I found today and it brings good news to you to help you find the plaques that you need for your home and business. Before I close this article, I would like to tell you that if you are dissatisfied, you can return the item you purchased from them within 30 days if you are not. For more information check out the links above and see what all they have offer.

Today I will share an article about Anchusa. This species belong to borage family and has several species of which are cultivated for their blue or purplish flowers that resemble forget-me-nots. In South Africa it grows wild, and it grows in dry, sandy places and is often found in disturbed areas such as roadside verges. On sunny days the bees love visiting this beautiful Anchusa flowers. This is one of the very easy plant adapting to most soils, surviving on very little water and seeding itself readily. The basic requirements are full sun and well-drained soil in the western Cape the plants grow during the wet winter and flower in late spring and early summer.

Anchusa is still popular today and it grows 4-5 feet tall with deep blue late spring, summer and fall flowers. This flowering plants are all more less hairy and have alternative leaves and leafy, usually one-sided, flower cluster not unlike, those of forget-me-not. To plant Anchusa, you do not have a problem because it can be sown almost any time of the year. For a spring display, sow the seeds late in the summer and for a summer display sow the seeds in winter. Wow, its a very nice flowering plants that do grow whither in the cold weather or hot weather.

Unfortunately we don’t have access to dsl. The internet provider that we presently have comes from satellite and is very slow. In fact there is no time of the day that I won't often get disconnected. I wish and hope that someday we can get dsl. It is one of our dreams as we know how fast the dsl works. I had it when I was in my country of Philippines and it was great. For those who need great internet service you should check out the links in this article and see what you are missing. As for their prices I believe you can afford them. If you are looking for dsl service, let me say that you won’t beat this one. If you think dsl internet is not applicable to where you live try dial-up internet. It is not as fast as dsl but for some it is the only option, and of course it’s dependable.

In case you don’t know which internet provider I am speaking about yet, it of course is Coppernet. They have broadband and dial up in many areas around the country. They also offer VoIP which means that with a dsl connection, you can connect a telephone and voila, no more long distance charges! When you add up the convenience and money savings its clear that Coppernet is the way to go. That is why it came as no surprise to me when he drove up the driveway in a new Mustang last night. We had discussed getting a new car, and we both agreed that now that our kids were grown up, we would get some kind of sports car. We had even gone to look at cars the past two weekends, and had narrowed it down to three cars. So my husband took it upon himself to make the decision for us, even though I thought we were going to wait until we had all of our finances in order. I manage the bills for our household, so I had been figuring out ways to save a little money since we would soon have a new car payment. I went to Texaselectricityproviders, where I was able to save money on our energy bill and set up fixed-rate billing. That actually is the only thing I have done thus far to save us money. I guess I’m going to have to find some other ways to save money since we will have a car payment sooner than I thought. My husband has got to work on his impulsiveness

There are three species of plants in this genus. They are Arisarum simorrhinum, Arisarum proboscideum, and Arisarum vulgare. Today I share one of the arisarum species name Arisarum vulgare. This plant known as the Friar's Cowl or Larus. This species reaches on average 10-30 centimeters of height. It is a tuberous perennial geophytes with a pulpit-shaped, dark purple-brown flower from which a curved tongue like structure is seen protruding out. This flowering looks beautiful but has strange shape. If you want to plant this flower remember that it prefers a woodland soil or a sandy loam with leaf-mould. If you have seeds. Sow them in early spring and when large enough to handle prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on for at least the first winter in a greenhouse and plant out when dormant in the summer once the tuber has reached a reasonable size. Sorry there is not much information about this flowering plants but I hope you get a lesson with it.
