The bizarre sports - including bobbing for pigs' trotters and watermelon pip spitting - have taken place at the 16th annual event in East Dublin, Georgia, with competitors aiming to win one of the tournament's beer can-shaped trophies.

People came from all over the world to witness the event, which kicked off with the lighting of a torch made from five beer cans joined together.

The Redneck Olympics - which started in 1996 - were the brainchild of a local radio broadcaster who got the idea when someone remarked that the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games were ''being held by a bunch of rednecks''"

The stars of CMT's "My Big Redneck Vacation" are PISSED ... as in the British speak for SUPER DRUNK ... as they have managed to down over 100 cases of beer in the first two months of filming, TMZ has learned.

The upcoming season centers around the Clampet family as they are shipped off to a hoity-toity British estate, equipped with a full wait staff ready to fulfill their every desire. And sources close to the production tell TMZ ... what the Clampet family desires is BEER ... and lots of it.

We're told the rednecks haven't been shy about their brewski love either ... choosing to pound over 100 cases of the golden nectar in just 60 days. We did the math (since obviously we couldn't leave it up to them) and with 24 cans per case, that comes out to 2,400 beers ... which is a whopping 40 beers a day!

As fun as all that beer chugging is ... the family says the one downside to living in the UK ... NO BUD LIGHT!

Two members of the Aryan Brother of Texas have been sentenced to federal prison for their role in an aggravated assault in Tom ball. On Friday, Michael Burkett, 34, aka "Redneck," was sentenced to 27 months in prison. Shane Dallmeyer, 31, aka "Lock Jaw," was sentenced to 33 months in prison. they Both Burkett and Dallmeyer had previously pleaded guilty to racketeering aggravated assault charges for their role in the beating of an Aryan Brother of Texas prospective member in September 2008.

the 5 rednecks in Gibraltar deiced to make the park lot into a big muddin pit. they all bought different cars and jacked them up one tims was a Geo metro with a v8 under the hood and it had tractor tires on it. the second one was benos that was a lifted trans am it had a 350 chev under the hood with 52 inch mudders. the 3 one was matts it was a lifted ford f 350 diesel with a black mbrp stack that would just roll coal with military tires. the 4 one was gonz he drove a lifted handa it has a nice v8 12 valve cummins under the hood. the 5 one is mine aka wedges it is a 99 for f650 with a cat diesel under the hood hooked to a Allison trans. and everone in the school has to buy a lifted truck with big muddin tires

Bus driver is suing after getting firing over confederate flag on his arms. Some dumb kid that thought that the flag that he could not read that day that he got turned in MEDFORD, Ore. Ken Webber still proudly flies his Confederate battle flag with the word "Redneck" emblazed across it from the CB antenna on his pickup truck. He hopes that his lawsuit in federal court will get his job back driving a school bus.

"What Mr. Webber is encapsulating is a Jeffersonian agrarianism, where you stand up for your rights," attorney Thomas Boardman argued Thursday in U.S. District Court. "If we are going to say someone cannot identify as a redneck, what else can we not identify ourselves as?"

Attorneys for bus company First Student Inc. and the Phoenix-Talent School District countered that Webber himself said that the flag, a gift from his father, represented his "redneck" lifestyle, where family comes first, and people enjoy hunting, fishing and driving four-wheel-drive trucks through the mud. They said the flag did not represent any kind of political speech that would be protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Married and the father of four young children, Webber was fired last March after refusing bus company orders to take down the flag, cover it, or park some distance away from school property. School Superintendent Ben Bergreen had seen the flag on a visit to the bus yard and demanded that the flag be removed from school property, citing a policy prohibiting symbols that could be offensive to minorities.

Caroline Guest, attorney for First Student, said that because the flag hung down while parked at the school bus yard, no one could see the word "Redneck," so the flag could not be considered any kind of political speech.

"He had it because he identifies as a `redneck,"' she said. "He's proud of it, but he is not intending to tell the world."

A fort Mayers man arrested at the redneck Yacht Club for running over a small car. norman lee nowling he gives a check to the family for what the van was worth. but she put her car where the big trucks and muddin bucks run and play at after the the consent. but she went with a nether trucker that got stuck and could not get back to her van in time to save it. he askes several times can i run it over and even his police report says that he asked several times cause people are telling him to run over the van. and now everyone is happy

A man arrested for shooting at the white house to try to kill Obama.

A man was accused for shooting at the white house. There was a “formal arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday for an Idaho man charged with firing a rifle at the White House in an attempt at assassinating the president.” His name is Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez and he has 17 charges to go against on Tuesday. The shooter started shooting at the second floor where the first family lived. No one got hurt in the president house hold because there were out of town.
