Beef Roast in the Deluxe Air Fryer

Air Fryer Beef Roast

Recently I made a delicious beef roast in my new Deluxe Air Fryer from Pampered Chef. It was so nice and juicy. My roasts usually come out more medium, to medium well. This one was closer to medium rare. I was so happy! My husband was really impressed with it too, which is always a plus. :)

The night before I cooked it I rubbed it with some salt, pepper, onion powder, and the garlic & herb rub from Pampered Chef. Then I put it in a sealed container and let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight. When it came time to cook it I used the rotisserie attachment and made sure to set the air fryer to rotate. Then I used the custom setting on my air fryer setting it to 390 degrees for 15 minutes. This was to "sear" the outside of the roast. After that I set it to 350 degrees for 40 minutes. (20 minutes for medium rare, 25 minutes for medium well.) My roast was 2.5 lbs, but I think next time I'll only cook it for about 30 mins after the sear time.

The potatoes were simply small red ones that I sliced up a bit and placed on the bottom pan in the air fryer seasoned with a little salt & pepper. Otherwise they just cooked in the drippings from the roast cooking above.

These slippers are so comfy and warm! They look super cute too :) I made them using this fantastic tutorial from Stephanie Zed on YouTube. Her videos are so easy to follow and they work up very quickly. Everyone in my family got a pair for Christmas last year.

Smurf Amigurumi!

After crocheting for most of my life, I've finally discovered the wonderful world of Amigurumi! I am in love with these creations :) This set of Papa Smurf and Smurfette came out so much better than I had hoped for! Smurfette's hair isn't the best. Got a wild girl thing going on :) I'm currently working on a second set for a friend.

Blogging Your Way To Success In Country Scents Candles!

Here's what I try to do with my blog and a few tips that might help others out in building their business.

At least 3 posts a week. 1 fun, 1 ever green content, 1 about my business.

FYI: Ever green content is a post that will be as applicable today as it is a year ago. These are great to reshare later and tend to bring more consistent visitors and better search results. These could tips to build your business, build your team, recipes, house cleaning tips, etc.

Get a Calendar:

Use your calendar to plan what you plan on posting to your blog for at least a month in advance. This helps you to keep track of what your going to writing about, help you create themes for the month, and to stay on track with your blogging.

Schedule Posts:

Write your posts in advance as much as you can. If you're like me there are days when you can't string a sentence together, other days you can write a novel. One the novel writing days devote as much time as you can to cranking the content out. This way on the days your busy, or coffee isn't working you're not nearly as pressured or stressed cause you've already got your posts ready to go 😊

Use labels/keywords/hashtags/SEO/Alt tags for pics:

Just when you write something for Instagram or twitter you need to have as many applicable hashtags as you can find. In blogs it's called labels or keywords, but they are basically the same idea. Also, take the time to learn SEO tactics, including using alt tags for any pics. These really help to boost your search results in Google. Also, try to keep your pics at a max of 3 per blog post and each post around 500 words or more.

Use it to build excitement for upcoming events or releases:

This part is a bit trickier for me with CSC/CS/CN things since we don't get much advance notice of what's happening. For example, I tried to do posts for each day of the 12 days of Xmas last, but only got 5 or 6 them done simply because I didn't have time each day to write a post for each day. Normally, when I did get a post written they were later at night essentially making them "filler content" instead of useful promotional content. However, if you are planning a special party, or event then the skies the limit! Depending on how far away your event it is you might want a post a week, but then as it gets closer you might want two. If it's for a party or some "live" event you can also include a follow-up or two posts with pics, results, prize winners if any, etc.

Make yourself an "authority" in Google's view:

This is essentially having a blog that has lots of content related to your area, and having it be old enough for Google to think you've been doing this for a while. You blog should appear at least 6 months old even if you start it today. To do this you simply back date your posts and fill it up. Since I'm behind on my blog right now when I get back to it I'll be creating back dated posts for the months that don't have any while also working on the "new" posts. For example, if you're starting one today you'd want to write at least one post for each month for Jan-June. Then repeat this until you've got at least one post for each week. If you'd like to go back and additional posts to the previous posts that fine, but the important thing is that when Google sends out the spider checking for updates it'll be "tricked" into thinking that this blog has been active for the past 6 months. After you get all the content backfilled you will be all set going forward 😊

Cross promote:

Share your content everywhere! Twitter, pinterest, Instagram, fb, anywhere and everywhere. If you have a post scheduler for your social media then use it. Personally, I schedule new posts to be shared 2x a week the week they go live. I also try to find one of my older "ever green" posts to reshare once a week.

Remember that your content won't show up immediately in the Google results. That typically takes a couple of days. It also takes a lot of work if you want to be a truly successful blog. You need to drive traffic to the site just like you would drive traffic to your CSC/CS/CN businesses.

Starting a new business is hard work! There is no magic key to success. You have to choose something that you truly enjoy and will keep you motivated to continue moving forward. When starting a new business there is a lot that you need to consider. Think about what you want to do, how much time you have to devote to your new venture, and how much money you can afford to invest.

An excellent option to consider is joining a direct sales company. There is a wide range of companies to choose selling products from beauty to nutrition, candles or home decor, essential oils to jewelry. You name it, and there is probably a direct sales company selling it!

All of this variety can make it very difficult to choose the right one for you. Company policies regarding start up costs, sales quota's, and fees all vary. Before joining any direct sales company take some time and do a little research on it. Do they require you to purchase a start up kit? Do they have monthly or quarterly sales quota's? What's the company's reputation like? Most importantly do you like the products they offer? If they aren't something that you would use in your life, then it's probably not the company for you.

Many people like the idea of direct sales is the flexibility. However, if you join a company with higher quota's you need to consider how much time you'll have to spend "working" your business. Some people have no problem devoting 40 or more hours a week to selling, but if you only have a few hours a week, or are new to sales, it might work better for you to take on a smaller challenge at the beginning.

Another important consideration is what kind of training and support does a company provide to their new consultants. Having a good system for newcomers helps the entire company to succeed. They want you to build a large network of customers and new consultants to expand their business just as much as you want to build your own. Make sure you are working with a direct sales company that will help you, answer your questions, and support you every step of the way.

When you book your fundraiser through me you can earn up to 25% of the total sales for your event! The more you sell the more you can earn for your cause.

*$100-$200 = 5%
*$201-$350 = 10%
*$351-$500 = 15%

*501-$650 = 20%
$651+ = 25%

All of my fundraisers are held online. Just as soon as you book a fundraiser with me, I'll create a party with a unique url that can be shared with all participants. Any order placed in that party will go towards the party sales. I will provide an online event, special deals and promotions, and much more to help your event be successful.

Other ways to earn money for your cause include:

5% of sales of any party booked from fundraiser
$5 for each person that signs up as a consultant and sells or purchases $50 worth of products in the first 30 days.
$10 for any new consultant that reaches $250 sales in the first 30 days.
$25 for any new consultant that reaches $500 sales in the first 30 days.

Country Scents Candles has four new scents for holidays! Including some that will make excellent gifts for the men in your life.

*Gingerbread

Sweet and warm with a ginger kick, combines warm vanilla and spices for a homemade, smell just like that are fresh from the oven.

*Suit and Tie

A masculine scent with intense spices including black pepper, cardamom and clove with just a touch of sweet mandarin which sets the scene for the rich leather, smooth frackincense and edgy woods.

*Black Knight
