This time it is not on Big screen. Chiru likely to announce his new Political party by the time of Sankranthi.

Recent films of Chiranjeevi, like Stalin , Shankar dada Zindabad have not done well at box office. Though the movies were rated good by critics, it was said that high expectations from fans made the films flop. It seems Chiru is not finding the story which reaches his fans' high expectations. So , he is thinking something which is too big to hit big screens.

This move by the actor, who has a massive fan following in the state, could change the political scene in the state. He, however, made it clear that his party would not be only for Kapu, the community to which be belongs.

There has been speculation that Chiranjeevi, one of the highest paid actors in the country, would enter politics before the 2009 Assembly elections.

However, the recent controversy following his daughter's elopement with her boyfriend and their marriage against the wishes of the actor's family dealt a blow to his plans.

On record, Chiranjeevi – in the film industry for 25 years – has been denying that he has any plans to enter politics and has instead concentrated on social services, especially blood donation.

He, however, was under pressure from Kapus to join politics to counter the Congress and TDP, dominated by the Reddy and Kamma communities respectively. The communist parties and other forces trying to form a third alternative were also appealing him to take to politics.

Chiranjeevi will be following in the footsteps of thespian NT Rama Rao, who created a record of sorts by becoming chief minister within nine months after floating the TDP.

When NTR launched his party, the Congress was the only dominant force in the state and people were looking for an alternative whereas Chiranjeevi will have to compete with several parties.

Some feel that Chiranjeevi lacks the charisma of NTR, who died in 1996, a few months after his son-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu staged a revolt in the party.

The sources said the actor, who hails from Andhra region, might support the demand for separate Telangana.

Media overacts!!

Assume that a private family function is being organised in your home. Suddenly a group of 50 people with big cameras and microphones entered into your home. They asked you some stupid, needless questions about your family and the function. They demanded the answers , though you are not willing to open your family private matters. In that situation what can you do?

You can do nothing. Yes, you can do nothing , because they are media persons. Media is dominating now a days. Some times it is killing your privacy. If you are a celebrity , unfortunately , once take a look over your surroundings you can find some media person looking eagerly through some window. There are about 50 news channels (including regional news channels) in India. I dont understand the need how ever. About 70 percent of those are not actually true news channels. Because they dont telecast true news. The so called news telecasted by them are actually Gossips or Rumours.

Is the news telecasted by these news channels useful in any way for innocent viewers? What do the viewers get if Dhoni and Deepika are in love? Or what do they get if Shahid and Kareena broke out? What do they get if Chiranjeevi's daughter got married secretly?

The viewers wont get anything. But the media people will get. They will get good amount. They can rise their TRP ratings. And some times they can also blackmail the news victim (the poor guy who will be shown continuously in TVs for some trivial matter) .

I dont blame all news channels and news papers. There are some news agencies still fighting for values despite loosing TRP ratings or circulation. Everything in this earth has its limits. Media should also be limited to some extent. If not , the results will be most regretful. Who knows ? !! Media may become the cause for third world war !!!!

Anand movie with "Happy Days" music

IIMs may be tailoring CAT paper on GMAT format

The CAT paper may be going the GMAT way. Sample this - from 2003 to 2006, the number of questions has fallen from 150 to 75. The GMAT paper has 78 questions.

The number of choices and the duration of the CAT examination have also changed resembling a GMAT paper. And now, the CAT test might soon become an online exam like the GMAT.

Mumbai T.I.M.E institute Director Arks Srinivas says, “The CAT paper's quantitative section used to be considered very difficult but 2004 onwards, it is becoming easier and more arithmetic driven which is what GMAT follows. And if you look at the verbal section, it was very grammar driven while GMAT is more reasoning based. Again we see a trend change.”

IIMs have long wanted to be globally oriented. This could be their latest attempt.

“For IIMs it makes sense as a business proposition because now not only can they reach over 100 domestic institutes but by doing this, IIMs can reach across borders to South Africa and in course of time in Europe and us as well,” Srinivas adds.

The CAT exam is taken by more than 2 lakh students while about 16,000 students take the GMAT exam. So, foreign universities can choose from a wider base if they can consider cat score. For students, opportunities will increase and it will cost less.

That's because taking the GMAT exam is eight times more expensive than taking the CAT – clearly a win-win situation.

Salman reveals why he refused Chak De

<object width="425" Indian batsmen are not really willing to play whole 50 overs atleast. May be they are very much comfortable with the Twenty 20 format.India were all out in 47 overs in both the matches. Selection committee should think about it.

ICC had introduced some new rules in this series. Free hit and the mandatory change of ball after 35 overs are introduced in ODI. May be one more rule in favour of India should also be included to make the series interesting. The rule is that Indian team can bat with 12 wickets rather than 10. i.e., Any of the two Indian batsmen can have 2 lives. Let us name it as "Free wicket".

Plz ICC make a new rule called "Free wicket".. and keep it only for India :) Pleaseeeeeeee....

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rajeshturlapati.blogspot.com/2007/10/indian-cricket-we-need-more-wickets-icc.html' title='Indian cricket : We need more wickets..
