I don't usually post stuff like this but this was just too awesome to pass up.

I was in serious need of a new facewash and I have been looking around for one for weeks. So as I was wondering around at the mall I couldnt resit walking into Lush. I love the stuff in that store... even though I dont buy much from them... I love browsing and smelling all the awesome stuff they have. Everything smells so good!

While I'm in there, I remembered reading somewhere that they have really good face care products. So I proceed to ask the girl about it and the excitement on her face was incredible! She asked me a few .. ok maybe more than a few ... questions about my skin type and all that jazz. And then picked up this chunk of black coal. Initially I looked at it and was like ... Um im not putting that black crap on my face u crazy girl. And then she asked me to humor her and proceeded to do a little demonstration on my hand! I am not joking! After she was done ... my skin felt incredible. Then she showed me a toner and a moisturizer which also blew my mind! Their products really are amazing. And ofcourse I bought the whole skin regimen.

I go home and tell Iqbal (my husband) about it and he had the exact same reaction I did... except he actually said it out loud to me. So I made him suck it up and try it. And mind you ... hes VERY picky about the products he uses. It took him a few min but at the end when it was all done and over with... he was very impressed and ofcourse tried to hijack my facewash. Which is never going to happen lol.

So conclusion.... Go get it! Freakin amazing stuff.

Heres what I bought. So good guys! Get them to give you a demo. Trust me!

** Song of the Day: Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch **

A movie about two sisters from a disfunctional family living a disfunctional life dealing with depression and death. Believe it or not... this is a sci-fi movie ...

There are times when I go to a movie and painfully sit through it only to realize it was actually amazing. Meloncholia was one of those movies. Sitting through the movie was slightly boring but I never felt like I wanted to be anywhere else. At the end of it all, things didn't make sense but it always kept my attention. I walked out of this movie not knowing how exactly I felt about it and the more I talked about it the more I realized that it did not make sense to me that night. However ... I have not yet been able to stop thinking about it. And the more I think about it the more I realize how amazing that movie really was. And for that exact reason I think the movie accomplished what it set out to do. It was amazing... It just takes a little time for you to soak it in a bit before you realize it. Definietly a must watch =)

** Song of the Day: Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger **

I have had the most stressful, hectic and exhausting week of my life. And it is still not over. I started a new job on Monday at a software company in Mississauga. Mind you I live in Scarborough/Pickering. Why and what made me do this to myself is not something I would like to be questioned about. I get it... It was a little bit of a stupid idea. But now that I'm in it .... I'm in it! So I wake up at 5:45 am every morning so that I have enough time to get ready and be out of the house and on the highway by 6:40 am. I get on the highway and some stupid ass driver HAS to ram himself into another car and cause a jam. So driving through a parking lot highway is not fun. I get to work either half an hour too early or half an hour late.... for 8:00 am. THEN I sit and sit and sit. I read documents and wait to get trained. I read things that I don't really understand so my brain goes into serious overload. Except ... it doesn't explode.... it hasn't.... yet. Then when everything is done and the day is over... I run out of the office in a serious panic to TRY and beat traffic. What happens.... Everyone is trying to be smart... and of course i get stuck in traffic. A couple hours of stresfull driving later I get home. I am starving... I'm exhausted.... and I eat. Then what do I have to do.... STUDY! I am ALSO taking a course which I have to go to class for every Saturday for 7 hours. I have an assignment due tomorrow.... I also have my final exam tomorrow. So when I get home... after reading and breaking my brain all day.... I have to hurry up and get over it so I can cram my broken brain with more information. By the time I am done overworking my brain and have reached the limit Its 11. I of course dont get time in the morning to shower.... of course not... so I get my ass in the washroom and take a shower... wash my hair... blow dry it and straighten it. Get into bed. I pretty much blink... or what feels like a literal blink.... I hear my freakin alarm!

I am tired.... I need sleep... and I need to stop freakin reading! I just have to get through tonight and tomorrow. After 3 I should be free for at least one day.... Oh good god! =(

Shoppers Employee Needs to Go!

What is a Torontonian girls favourite place to go and browse? I was as always at Shoppers Drug Mart browsing ... and picking up some things that I needed. Every Shoppers I go to has really nice people and they are extremely helpful when asked for assistance. I love Shoppers. I have one right by my house. And as always ... it has become my go to place, my 'convenience store'. There is also a Shoppers at Scarborough Town Center which is my second home in a way lol. I do not like that particular store and that is for one reason only. There is this older female employee who works in the beauty department. I have seen her work there for quite a few years now. And every time I end up at the counter to pay for my purchases and I get her ... she in one way or another makes an extremely insulting comment. And it usually always goes like this:

Me:

Hi can I pay for this here?

Her:

Sure! Oh is that the moisturizer you are buying?

Me:

Yes.

Her:

Have you used it before?

Me:

Yes.

Her:

Oh are you sure you want to buy it?

Me:

Yes (slightly annoyed)

Her:

Well because its not very moisturizing

Me:

Thats fine

Her:

Well I see a lot of dryness on your face... maybe you should try buying [insert another significantly more expensive product which does exactly the same thing or worse which I have also used and hated here]

Me:

No thanks (pissed off)

Her:

No because you have dryness.

Me:

Just complete my transaction. Thanks

EVERY FREAKIN TIME! This woman is such an idiot!! First of all ... let me say one thing. I am not one to insult people or speak badly about people (unless they deserve it ofcourse lol) or judge them. But seriously ... when you look at this woman.... shes not pretty. She has the worst skin possible. You can see chunks of her foundation pealing off her face. Does not know how to wear makeup. She lines her lips with a pencil that is 20 times darker than her actual lipstick which also does not suit her skin tone. Good god woman. Who the hell told you that you are in any position to make beauty consultations. I understand she is trying to up sell but someone should seriously tell her that insulting customers is not getting her any sales. And honestly... that will most probably be me telling her off next time I go there. Honestly I am almost pissed off enough to find her name and actually tell management. Uh!!!

I am not much of an Aishwariya Rai fan but I will admit she looks amazing on the cover of Vogue India for the month of February. I love the gothic yet angelic shoulder pads that look like wings. The strange thing is ... this is the work wear issue of Vogue. If only everyone could dress like that going to work ... lol. Love it though. The cover was shot by a Polish photographer Marcin Tyszka. His photography style is stunning. I love his creativity.

I was feeling yucky today when I woke up. I have those days sometimes. Just random days where you just feel gross for no reason at all. So I wake up and go downstairs to get something to eat… only to find my raisin cinnamon bread almost finished. Boo! So I take 2 of the last 4 slices and toast them. Usually that makes me feel better but after eating I didn’t feel any less gross. So I figured I’d watch some ‘Dog Whisperer’. Which also didn’t help. So I went upstairs and got ready. And since I was really bored I decided to play around with my makeup. Took me a good half hour or maybe more but now I look awesome and my eye shadow looks awesome and I feel much much much better. Taking your time getting ready without interruptions is one of the most relaxing things for me. Try it out. It seriously makes you feel 100 times better. Love it =)

New "Gadget"

Everyone has an iPhone or some sort of high tech smart phone these days. I myself am also one of the biggest tech geeks and own an iPhone 4 and I love it. It does so much ... a phone is no longer just a phone. I personally don't like using my phone all the time. There is a time and place for everything. I don't use my phone at the dining table or when I have company. I don't take calls or bust out my phone just to check the weather or check a text message at restaurant. Especially when I am on vacation! But sometimes you cant help yourself. These things can be a little too much to handle at times and I can see why most people these days have very little social skills because of it. Don't get me wrong, I love my iPhone but sometimes you just want something simpler. Something that doesn't make annoying sounds and sing overplayed songs at you.

That is the reason why I am tempted to get the John's Phone. Especially the new Gold edition that came out. I love it. Its simple. Lets you make calls and answer calls. Looks sexy and thats it! I will get it one day .. and keep it with me when i go on vacation or when I don't want to be bothered just as an emergency phone. So that I can receive calls and make them but have no other distractions =). Its nice to be free of it sometimes. And besides ... its GOLD! Come on!

I have traveled a lot in my life. My parents have always been into exploring and visiting new places and seeing the world. And by traveling with them our whole lives, me and my brothers have inherited that same sense of curiosity and love for traveling. However over the past few years or so ever since I have gotten busy with university and now work... I have been slacking in that department. But fortunately enough my husband also has that same kind of interest in traveling as I do and we go somewhere every year. Either a few small trips locally a year or one big trip overseas and it is amazing. However, for the past couple years we have gotten so carried away with work and life in general that we have not had a chance to even think about making a big trip. But I have a wishlist of places I want to see. I have a jar...well I used to have a jar which has now been misplaced during the move from my parents to my husbands place lol ... but anyway I have a list which is once again going into a new jar which has names of all the places I want to visit in my life and all the things I want to see and do. I have today added one more thing to that list. The subway system in Sweden. When you look down below at the pictures you will see exactly why =)

Hullo Hullo!!
Happy New Year!!!!!

Hope all of you had an amazing new years eve and a super awesome start to the new year. I know I did. New Years Eve was awesome! We went out to a party and had more fun than we expected. It was amazing!! The next 3 days I spent sitting at home in my PJ's. Lol. Which was also amazing. My siblings ended up coming over on new years day. My friend ended up coming over the next day and I spent all day with my hubby the next day. And now I am at work! Spending time with my work family =). No one really wants to work first day back. =)

Alot happened last year... good things and bad and I'm carrying all the good things over with me into 2011 and letting those things inspire my new year and leave all the bad things behind. I think everyone should do that because it makes you feel amazing.

I don't usually make resolutions because I don't believe in setting goals for yourself only because its a new year. I set goals for myself throughout the year and make sure I get there. But this time the new year just happened to come right in time for when I was ready to set a couple new goals for myself.... and here they are:

1. Yes... the very typical ... Get in shape lol

For as long as I can remember I have been super fit. But over the past 3 years or so I have been slacking major. And need to get back to feeling like myself. So thats what I will do. So starting today ... I will work out 4-5 times a week ... and by July1st I should be at a point where I am able to start toning up. Done and done!

2. Parkour Lessons

Once I am somewhat in shape, I am planning on taking Parkour lessons. At least take a few classes. I have always been obsessed with the way these people can move and I plan to take a lesson or two and see if its something i can do or not. Not that I plan on being as insane as any of these people. But its something cool to learn... even if its only half a percent of what they do. If you don't know what Parkour is ... check it out.

3. I am going to start working on my plan to do Interior Decorating on the side. Once I have a good handle on everything I will formally start it up as a business. In a couple years. =) Hopefully!! =)

4. Less Stress, more laughter.

So everyone stop stressing and smile more because everything always works out in the end and no matter what you do... you will be great. Hope you all have an amazing 2011 =)

Most Xbox and PS3 users use their consoles as more than just gaming systems. Me being one of them... I use mine to watch movies, access data from my PC, and of course I at times need to check out my YouTube Subscription videos. I love my TV and prefer to use that to watch any kind of media rather than my small dinky yet super amazing little laptop screen. I'm sure all of you guys do as well. And the one issue I have with doing that is the typing without an actual keyboard. I feel like im back in the early 2000's where you had to type one letter at a time on your stupid 1" cell phone screen. Wow! How I don't miss that. lol. Anyway so usually the problem can be solved by getting one of those keyboards that connect to your system OR you can just get that dinky little keyboard attachment. But that to me requires waaaayyy to much effort. I'm a techie ... I'm lazy. Shortcuts with IT related things is my life. I don't want a million remotes for my home theater set up. I dont want an extra attachment, and i definetly don't want something big and klunky sitting in my living room. Im a girl... I hate clutter lol.

So getting to the point ... I was browsing as always and saw this!

Oh man! How this makes me so excited. I don't know how long really it has existed for... because its only for TiVo. And well ... I don't have TiVo. But what would be great ... is if people get on this. Seriously... I don't even know if they exist on regular universal remotes or not but if not ... come on makers of universal remotes. This is so not hard. Do it and make my life alot easier.

Every now and then I have this strange dream where I find myself back home in Pakistan in my old house. I am sitting around in my parents bedroom with my mom watching this show that she is obsessed with. I know nothing about this show and she starts to explain it to me so that I can also get into it. And while she is filling me in I look around and find all these people also sitting in the room EVERYWHERE watching the show with us. Now this show slowly somehow becomes somewhat reality TV. So I look around and figure I should go home and walk say bye to my mom. She gives me a book that is supposed to be a complete DVD set for that show... but it’s a book... and the pages of the book come out. And she tells me... It’s your job to keep this safe and make sure you get back all the other pages from any of the people who have borrowed.

So I take the book and walk outside. I find myself outside in the snow wearing a big jacket, scarf, hat, gloves ... all the winter stuff to keep me warm. And there is lots of snow... but it’s not cold. I walk up to my brothers who I see just standing around talking and we decide we should go get some coffee. We start to walk and this lady with a 2 year old kid walks up to me and says "Sarah! You were right... it did help my baby... I need you to help him again. I must have another page from that book. Whichever one you think would help again." So I tell her fine and tell her to meet me tomorrow somewhere I can’t remember.

Now in this dream... all this that happened isn't really the important part. It's what the show was about that scares me a little bit. But for some reason I can never remember what that show is about. I have a general feel of the environment and the atmosphere of the whole show... and I can see the main characters face because I remember it very clearly but that is all I can remember. But every time I have this dream... I wake up being slightly freaked out ... and stay like that pretty much all day. Another strange thing about this dream.... How and where my mom tells me this story is always different. Where I meet my brothers and that lady is always different.... but the show is always the same. What my mom says to me is always the same and what me and that lady talk about is the same and the conversation between me and my brothers is always the same. All those people are always there. Just the place it happens is always different. Strange..... I really wonder what it means.

Around this time of year I always think ... You know... winter isnt so bad. Its nice in winter and theres nothing wrong with being cold for a little bit. And I believe it too but then a day like today comes along and all those thoughts go in the garbage lol. I am not a winter person. Its not that I don't like winter ... its just that I cant stand the cold. And there are many reasons for that. No one has really ever understood me when I try explaining to them what my reasons are for not liking winter so the only way for me to do this is to tell you what I like about winter and what I don't like about winter. Let me explain:

What I Like About Winter

Snow is gorgeous. I love it when the sky lights up at night and everything is pink. Its the most beautiful thing in the world.

When the snow falls ... Its the most romantic time ever!

I love going down a hill on a toboggan really really fast hoping not to hit the gigantoid bump that will make you fly across the park.

I love lighting the fireplace. Its peaceful. And I love the sound of the crackling wood

I love grabbing some hot tea and getting into a blanket on my couch.

Winter clothes are awesome! Well actually Fall clothes are awesome. I think I just usually wear fall clothing all winter. lol. Scarfs, boots ... all that good stuff.

What I Dislike About Winter

I hate being cold

I hate the wind

I cant handle wind touching my neck.

I don't like being wet... ever. (unless its a water fight in the summer)

I do not like wearing clunky boots ... it makes you look like a man. and I'm not a man lol

I hate not being able to wear any shoes I want. I always have to wear closed toe shoes. I cant wear no socks. It sux! It limits your options.

I hate shoveling the snow

I hate waking up in the morning and going outside just to find that your car and your whole driveway is drowned and you have to shovel yourself out of your house just to get to work.

I hate smelling like outside (sweat, wet clothes, etc)

I hate my hair getting frizzy cuz of the wetness

I hate wind blowing my hair all over the place and making me look like a monkey

I hate dressing up and looking all nice only to put on a jacket that creases your clothes

I hate people throwing snow in my face ... it takes effort to put on makeup and all that effort and then the snow... uh!

I hate frozen fingers and toes and ears and nose

I hate not being able to feel my chin move

I hate not being able to use my iPhone whenever I want when I'm outdoors

I hate not being able to go outside for a walk

I hate not being able to smile when im outside because my teeth freeze

I hate having glove lint stuck on my rings

I hate not being able to wear nailpolish in a rush on my way out because i have to wear gloves

I hate people bringing salt and snow into the house because I end up having to clean it up 20 million times.

So you see, as much as I like how winter looks ... I'm just not meant to be friends with it. And I don't think I will ever like winter. People have tried and tried and I just do not like it. Oh I hope this winter is not bad! Please please please don't be a bad winter! =(

Maybe I am the only one who talks about things like this but to be honest I can’t possibly be the only one who thinks about them. Things that don’t happen but maybe should. Things that don’t really affect our lives in any way what so ever but maybe if we had them and they suddenly disappeared … we would miss them.

Have you ever wondered what would be like if everything when completed made a sound … like a really light *ching* to let you know it’s done? Like drying nail polish. At that exact moment when the last little tiny piece of slightly wet nail polish suddenly closes in and dries, you hear a low subtle *ching* saying “I’m done… you are free to touch things now”. Or when you suddenly get that moment of clarity and things make sense you hear a sound that lets you know you are right. Wouldn’t things be just so much simpler? It would just be a confirmation on top of the self confirmation you already have. Don’t you think?

I think it would be an amazing thing to have. But maybe I really am the only one who thinks this way. But now you are also thinking about it. Aren’t you? =)

Katie Thompson Designs

Some of you may not know this about me but I am a gigantic interior decorating addict. If I ever walk into a room with you and you notice that I'm quiet... its not because I'm being shy (which I am) but its usually because I'm thinking about all the decorating possibilities the room has, of course based on all the things I find and would love to buy but have nowhere to put, or maybe just appreciating everything that is in the room at the time.

I'm always attracted to unique things that people normally wouldn't place in a bedroom or a family room. But I would. I've been told multiple times that I like weird things and I always respond to it saying "I like it... doesn't mean I want to buy it". And then I come across certain things that people don't like or wont like but I love it so much I buy it anyway. And then once I'm done people get why I bought it =)

But anyway... I came across this chair while I was on StumbleUpon and instantly fell in love. I want to buy this chair and base a whole room around it.

I love the fact that its built from a vintage suitcase. Its so different and looks really really comfy! There is a whole furniture line like this designed by Katie Thompson. Oh man I love this chair!!!

My New Lip Balm Love

I feel like I have been missing half my life right now and I'll tell you why. Oh... and warning ... Yes this is a girly post but I'm sure guys can benefit from this too =). Anyways ... I go to Shoppers Drug Mart a lot. And I mean A LOT. That is pretty much my every day stop on my way home from work and my stop on my way out to go anywhere and sometimes even before work. I love shoppers but I don't necessarily give them enough credit for the products they carry. You know... being considered drug store products and everything. Even though I don't really mind drug store products. They actually work surprisingly well. But I had always heard people talk about Burt's Bees products and how they are good but I'm a sucker for packaging. If the packaging sux... I wont buy the product. I wont even look at it or give it a chance. I don't mean to do it... it just happens. But I was just walking about the store aimlessly and saw the Burt's Bees tinted lip balm so I figured what the heck... Ill get it. There must be something about it that people are obsessing over. But to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be any good for me. Oh how wrong I was. I got home and right away opened it because of course I cant survive without lip balm. I put it on and I FELL IN LOVE!

If you have not yet tried any of the Burt's Bees lip balms and you have a thing for lip balms like me ... you seriously are missing half your life. Its minty so it makes your lips feel super good all the time. You feel like you always have fresh minty breath. If any of you have used the Bath & Body Mentha Lip Tints, its a little like that. Except its lip balm, not lip gloss. It stays on a heck of a lot longer and the colour is deeper so it shows up on your lips. Substitute for yucky lipstick guys! No joke lol.

There is a Victoria's Secret fashion show coming up and I was trying to figure out when it was going to air. I came across this preview clip of the fashion show during my search and thought it was the cutest video ever. This is what was happening back stage during rehearsals. I thought I was the only one obsessing over this song. Clearly not (wink). Check it out:

Hey Everyone,

I have not blogged in quite a while and am very apologetic. I don't have any real reason as to why I have not been blogging ... I have been lazy. I thought about trying to make something up but then figured that was too much work. lol ... Lazy... you get it. However I do have some exciting news ... for the past 5 years or so I have been wanting, trying, meaning... to go and get a piercing. Ear ... Belly ... the usual. Something different... exciting. But people have always talked me out of it....oh wait... thats not it... I have just always chickened out! lol. Yes ... I am a big chicken when it comes to pain....I can handle it... but I just dont want to handle it. You know what I mean??? Anyway ... I GOT MY NOSE PIERCED! Finally!!! Check it out:

Man oh man... every time I had asked someone how their experience was with nose piercings ... everyone... and I mean EVERYONE told me "oh it dosnt hurt and its super quick and you wont even feel it.". BULL SHIT!! It hurt like hell! The guy took a huge fat needle... grabbed a little clasp thing and first pinched my nose... which hurt a little on its own and then jammed the needle down my nose! It was freakin painful man! My eyes were tearing. I felt like such a wuss. My eyes were tearing for a bit and I was shaking for a good half hour after it happened. However ... I am so glad I got it done. It looks awesome!!! And overall it was an OK experience. I dont think I an ever going to voluntarily go and get a piercing. Ever! But I am still glad I did it. =)

I HAVE A NOSE PIERCING!!!!!!! YAH BUDDY!!!!

** Song of the Day: Sean Kingston - Letting Go **

Me and Iqbal went to Taste of the Danforth the other night which was really nice. It was super busy. We hardly had any space to walk. Ended up colliding with a lot of angry people. Its surprising how angry and irritated people are when they are eating... or chewing ... or hungry ... Actually even if they are full and satisfied they are angry. Hmm... kinda tragic. Anyway we ended up trying out a bunch of things. Lamb, calamari, and a lot of other food. I had corn which was actually super amazing. I go up to the stall and I saw them dipping the corn in butter which I think is seriously gross. So I go up to him and I'm like .... give me one but don't put butter on it. And the guy looks at me and goes " I got chu! .... He got chu!" lol. So funny. Died laughing. Check out the video down below. The beginning is a little shaky because iPhones don't take good night videos. But it gets better I promise =)

Wasaga Camping Trip!!

Theres a new video up on Sarah's Pensive all about my camping trip and my crazy family. lol.

Went camping with the family. LIke sleep in tents ... make a fire ... cook your food ... camping. I'm a hotel girl! I'm not made to sleep on the ground in a tent with tree roots jabbing you in the back. Uncool! However... it was awesome but maybe a once in a lifetime thing for me. Even though I have been camping with my family many times before when I was little. Oh not anymore lol. Give me a cottage or a hotel room and I'm all set. =)

Before I got in the car to go home I was completely fine and energetic. The second my bum hit the seat ... a serious amount of tiredness came over me and I honestly seriously probably started to hallucinate. lol My little cousin Zaib was talking away the whole way there.... 2 hour drive by the way ... Man the kinda drama her friends are into is just
too much for a 12 year old. I'm glad shes not into that stuff. Anyway ... back on track here .... I got home and oh man I had guests over. I was so tired ... if I closed my eyes standing up ... I would have fallen asleep in half a second. They stayed till 4:30 and the second they left I honestly didnt even wait for my head to hit the pillow before I started to hear myself snore. Yes ... I snore when I'm tired. Everyone does. Even you!!! lol. So anyway I woke up about 8:30 at night and went downstairs to eat and had absoultly not energy to even warm up anything for myself. I popped some honey into my plate and ate it with 2 slices of bread. Even though I was super hungry ... Once I was done I was still starving but had no energy to get up. Anyway ... went back to bed around 11:30-ish and woke up for work this morning. And the second I see I have nothing to do ... I am so going home! lol.

Next time ... I dont care where people are staying... I'm going to a hotel for the night and coming back to join them in the morning. For Sure!!! lol
