Hudson and Thayer are 2!

I have 2,two year olds! Some days have been long, but the past two years have been short! The boys are thriving and full of ALL energy. They are most definitely all boy. They prefer to run not walk, talk loudly and not with inside voices, wrestle with each other, the dog and daddy, throwing, hitting and kicking different balls, zooming cars on the floor and walls. Speaking of walls, we also like to color on them with high liters. They love to be outside and jump on their new trampoline or inside in their bounce house. They are both full of life and curious to explore the world around them. Both boys were potty trained 1 week before they turned 2 and it went better than I Could have expected. We still have the occasional accident and I do keep them in pull ups at night time, so I guess technically they aren't 100% potty trained, but more so than most kids their age and even older! Hudson is Mr. independent. He wants to do it himself and doesn't want anyone's help. This is the perfect mixture for messes and upsets when he can't get something to work the way he wants it to work. He is an eater and loves to snack, "nack". He is the king of the refrigerator. He gets his on waffle out of the freezer, string cheese and milk. See ? Messes. He knows how to open the milk gallon, bottles of water, anything that has child lock on it, bags. He also likes to help clean up his messes by going to get dish towels and wiping the floor up. He sometimes doesn't bend down to do it and will put the towel on the floor and use his foot, just like his mommy. Ha! Hudson loves to help with yard work and is pretty good at using the leaf blower and picking up weeds and throwing them in the big trash can. He also throws away his trash in the pantry, occasionally things that aren't trash, too. He laughs all the time and is surely going to be the class clown. He is SO smart! You can tell him something or ask him to do something and he will go and do it! He has so many new phrases and comes up with new stuff everyday! His vocabulary has really taken off. His favorite things are playing baseball and soccer, sliding, swinging, and climbing on everything! ALL BOY! He loves to give kisses, hugs and snuggles when he wants his back or head rubbed. He is definitely a protective, bigger and 1 minute older, brother to Thayer. I know he will be the same way to baby sissy. Occasionally, he will walk up to my belly and lift my shirt (even if we are in public :( ) and say "Hey baby sissy!" and give her a kiss. Hudson is in level 3 at swim class and can swim half way across the sectioned off pool by himself! His teacher brags on how well he does in front of the other parents! He is the youngest by a year and a half in the class! He is definitely going to be an excellent athlete! 2 year stats: Weight: 30lbs 84% Height: 36 1/2 inches 94% Head: 20 inches 97% Shoe: 8 Clothing: 3T Thayer has taken the role of Mr. laid back. He is very go with the flow unless there is something that he absolutely wants and if you don't give it to him be prepared for meltdown central! Whoa, can baby boy have a meltdown! He eats pretty well considering how non stop he is. He would rather run or jump than walk. Sometimes to get him to eat, I have to pre occupy him and sneak food in his mouth while he is busy playing. He doesn't like to get in trouble and rarely does (thank goodness). He loves everything and tells his toys goodbye and night night before he goes to bed or leaves the house. It's so funny. Thayer gets very concerned if you have a boo boo and wants to make sure you are okay and "kiss boo boo" to make you feel better. He is definitely our nurturer and more gentle boy. I have no doubt in my mind that he will make the best big brother to sissy! Poor guy is going to be so upset if she is crying! Thayer's favorite toys are his choo choo train, blue tractor, trampoline, golf bag that lots of cars get stuffed into, and his "baby" which is a blue hippo Justin bought him from Pottery Barn Kids. Baby gets baths in the bath tub and sleeps with him every night. Thayer loves to watch Elmo on Sesame Street and Bubble Guppies. He loves to color with crayons and markers, but not really finger paint. He has the most beautiful hair and I never want to cut it so short that there are no curls. I would cry my eyes out! His sweet, innocent face gets him out of a lot of trouble and especially when he says "I'm sorry Mama, I love You!" Talk about melting your heart! Thayer is still in swim level 2 and will hopefully move up when he starts floating on his back without help. 2 year stats Weight: 27 lbs 8oz 58% Height: 36 1/2 inches 94% Head: 19.3 inches 71% Shoe: 8.5 Clothing: 3T The boys started school on September 3 and are doing SO well! They go from 9-2 and nap there as well. They were definitely ready to start and enjoy going! Thayer was a little upset the first day I dropped him off, but the second day he kissed me bye and ran in to his teacher! They are the youngest and almost biggest in their class! I am so proud of these little guys and can't wait to see how much they grow and learn over the next year! XOXO

Annaleigh Update 28 weeks

just wanted to jot down some sweet Annaleigh updates.

As of 28 weeks, I've gained 24 pounds

At 26 1/2 weeks Annaleigh weighed 1 pound 14 ounces and has super long legs (Go figure)

From 3D pictures, she definitely resembles Thayer and maybe has lips like Hudson.

Justin felt Annaleigh kick for the first time at exactly 20 weeks! I've been feeling her kick and move since 14 weeks! I was shocked when I felt the little flutters that early! I've been feeling great, but ready to get some energy back! Weight gain so far: 12 pounds (as of 20 weeks, 4days) WOWZERS! Better slow down! ha! Cravings: FRUIT, no real food aversions. Nursery is coming along. Waiting on the bedding to arrive and we have to have chandelier installed, LOTS of stuff to move out of nursery. Closet is PACKED!

The boys are SO much fun! We went to Sea World and they had a BLAST! I didn't think they would really "get it", but they did and loved watching all of the shows! They were so excited and happy the entire weekend we were in San Antonio! I can't wait for our next trip :)

Their language has definitely taken off even more. They say lots of phrases and join words together. They say please and thank you when they want something and it melts my heart.

They love giving kisses and hugs! Thayer loves to hold my hand and will randomly kiss it while we are walking. BOTH are mamas boys <3 p="">
Swimming for both is a blast! They love to jump off the side of the pool and know how to kick their legs and move their arms in the water! So glad that they aren't afraid of it and do so well, so early!

Thayer LOVES to jump and he loves for you to watch him jump! He can jump really high and far, guess it's his long legs :)

Hudson loves to run and laughs the entire time he is running. He also loves to chase me! He is really starting to thin out - probably from all the running!

Clothes: 3T jon jons :( I thought 2t would work this summer, but when they sit down it unsnaps!

ALMOST 21 Months! ... and Annaleigh

Goodness, I haven't updated on any of the changes our big family is getting ready for.

FIRST, we found out we were pregnant on February 15, 2013. Justin said he thought I was on 2/14/13 and I thought he was crazy! We were NOT trying, God just decided to bless us... with our sweet ANNALEIGH MATTSON MOORE ALGOR! Everything is going perfect for us, and at my 17 week OB visit she was 7 oz. and her belly measured a week ahead! The boys LOVE to kiss my belly and say "sissy". They know exactly where she is! In MOMMY's belly. Not in Daddy's haha. I think it will be a while before they can actually say Annaleigh. I know they will be the ABSOLUTE BEST BIG BROTHERS to her and so protective of her.

We purchased their big boy beds a few weeks ago and have them set up in their new big boy rooms. I give them their baths in the bathroom connected to that room and they love to run in and lay on their beds after bathtime. We are planning to add the safety rails in the next few days and start having them nap in there first. They have always been such great sleepers and we have never had any issues with them not wanting to sleep, unless they were extremely sick, and I'm hoping that this will be an easy transition for them. I think that them seeing the beds and understanding that this is where they will sleep now is key instead of just changing them cold turkey one day and hoping for the best. It's worked for our potty training so fingers crossed it works for big boy beds too!

Speaking of potty training! WOW! Our children must be the smartest kids in the world. (Of course I may be a little biased) , but they have picked it up sooo fast! I don't push it or nag them all day long, but if I ask them if they have to go poopoo or teetee and they have to they will hold my hand and walk me to the bathroom and do their business. ha! It is so cute and they LOVE flushing the toilet. They even know how to wipe (of course I always re-wipe). ha! I think we have given 1 m&m as a reward, but they are more excited to go potty than getting the reward. My little over achievers!

They talk SO much! I am so proud of their vocabulary and the things that they pick up on. I think it has alot to do with us exposing them to so much. They still love to read and know certain words from certain books. For example when I turn a page and they know the words on that page they will say them before I do! They really are SO smart! They know tons of animals noises and can pick out that animal and make its noise before I ask them what a "x" says. Again, over achievers! They will be ready for school no doubt. They've done great with their colors also and can count to 3. ha!

They are eating great still. Nothing new in that category. THEY LOVE FOOD. If they want more of something they will SAY more and also SIGN more. Thayer says Please and Thank you most of the time. Hudson just says thank you when I had it to him. They have been off of bottles for a while now.
They have a sippy of milk when they wake up and again before nap time and bedtime.

Bedtime is around 7:30 and they sleep until 8 am the next day. Naptime is usually around 11-11:30 and they normally sleep until 2, but sometimes later.

They love being outside and playing in their pool and sandbox. They love digging, cars, climbing, running, jumping (esp Thayer). They really are all boy! They are tough as can be for sure.

They have always done great with sharing and love playing with their friends. I'm lucky they have each other as a playdate, but they love to see "RowRow" and "TayTay"... They already have a thing for the girls! Lord, help me in their teenage years!

Playing Catch Up

... Wow! Time is not a friend of mine these days/months... this year! It is so hard to find time to sit down and blog everything when you have TWO, wild and crazy toddler's on your hands that don't stay in one place for very long. I am going to do the best I can to "catch up" on a few things that have been happening around here.

18 MONTH STATS (February 2013)
Hudson:29 lbs, 34.3", size 6 shoe, 2t and some 3T!!! clothes, size 6 diaper
Thayer: 24 lbs 10 oz, 34.3", size 6 shoe, 2t and a few 3T clothes.. we definitely need the 3t for your long and lean body! size 5 diaper

LOVES!
Hudson: balls, cars, shoes (especially your NB tennis shoes), sliding, running and chasing your brother and king, blocks, sandbox
Thayer: cars, books, throwing balls and running to get them, lawn mower, rain boots, ANIMALS of ALL kinds!

WORDS: SO many and ya'll use them very often, I know I am forgetting so many, but here is a good start:
mama, dadda, bye bye, night night, hey, hello, car, truck, tractor, apple (papple), ball, bird, cat, mickey mouse (mick moww), milk, water (wawa), bubbles, tree (twee), nanny (nanna), pop tart, ketchup (etchup), chicken, brother (other), slide, swing, baby

NOISES: when I ask you what these animals say, you both answer and can point to them in your animal book
lion, elephant, monkey, cow, sheep, pig, duck, rooster, horse, goat, fish (obv you just point because mommy doesn't know what a fish says ;)

SLEEP:
bedtime is between 6:30-7:00 pm and you sleep until 8:00-8:30 am! WE ARE BLESSED! Naptime is from 11am until 1:30 sometimes 2 pm!

You both have started listening to me so much more! I know that you have always, for the most part, understood me, but now you actually do a task when I ask you to! yayyy! You both have started putting your toys away when I ask you to pick up before nap/bedtime. You don't pick ALL of them up, but you do what your little attention span will let you! You put away your shoes in the shoe basket by the front door, which is a big help! You bring me diapers and wipes when I ask you to and you put your dirty diaper on the counter after I change you.

Timeout is going really well. If I tell you 3 times not to do something and you continue to do it, you go in timeout. UNLESS, it is for something like hitting and you immediately go in timeout. Everytime you come out you have to give me a hug ;) We are working on saying "sorry."

You both are absolute joys and although some days are hard and verrry long, most days are wonderful and you are sweet as can be.

14 months

I don't even know why I try to keep up with this blog anymore. I certainly don't have time for it. Just wanted to write down a few things I want to remember, in hopes that one day I will have time to actually write them all down in the boys' baby books. I think the last time I updated those was around 5 months. Ooops! I do, however, put random trinkets, etc. in the box that they are in :)

At 14 months.....

Huddles: 9 teeth and you are getting in your bottom 2 molars now. They haven't broken skin yet, but the entire house has felt it. Those will make 11.
Thayer: 9 and I think you are getting another top molar, but you won't let me get in there to check it out

Favorite toys: books, sports climber, vacuum, bouncy balls

SO many new words! You both make animal noises now, too! Moo, Roar, Baah, Woof (sometimes)

An Update at last, 17 months

I have definitely neglected my blog, but when there is constant joy right in front of you, why get on the computer?

Hudson and Thayer have been busy, busy boys! They are constantly non stop. We are currently in South Carolina and since there isn't much for me to do while they nap, I have decided to jot down a few things that are happening.

Hudson,
You are a COMPLETE joy! You rarely get fussy and are always laughing or smiling. You continue to be my little ham. You are saying so many words and sounds when I ask you what something says. My favorite word you say is car. The way you say it sounds like you are from New York or Boston. When I ask you to go get something, you walk right over and get it and bring it back to me. You are a BIG help! You climb, you run, you play in the dirt when we are outside (which you love) You are 110% ALL BOY! Your feelings don't get hurt easily and if you fall down you get right back up with no tears shed. You share SO well. I'm not sure that many kids are as good as you at that. You love having play dates and hang with the bigger, older kids so well. You know where your belly, feet, nose, and head is. You aren't a big tv person and would rather be getting in to something. When I say its time to go night night you say night night and go give kisses to whoever happens to be around before you head up stairs. You are an excellent eater and I haven't found anything you won't eat.

Thayer,
My sweet mama's boy! You LOVE to cuddle and LOVE for me to hold you and be in your sight. You love to bring me "presents"! If you hand me something and I put it down beside me you pick it right back up and hand it to me and say see! You have the most beautiful face and curls. You are so innocent and I wish I could keep you that way forever. You are too beautiful to be a boy and everyone constantly calls you a girl. As sweet and innocent as you are, you are a pistol. If you want something and I can't figure out what it is, WOW, you let me know to figure it out fast! You are defintely starting to go thru terrible two's early, but you have done everything early! You LOVE the outside and would rather be outside than inside. You love to push trucks and cars around on the floor and absolutely love to slide on your slide. You have a great arm and love to throw your ball to daddy. Like Hudson, you are a great eater. I think you are ready to start being potty trained and I plan to buy a potty as soon as we get back to Texas. You are so fast at picking things up and I hope this one will be easy for you too! Speaking of fast, wow, you are quick, but you are also clumsy. You have great fine motor skills. You know when you shouldn't do things, like go upstairs without me. If the gate is open, you wait on the bottom step until I see you and say you can go up!

ONE year, ONE month!

Just wanted to jot down a few things that are happening with the boys at 13 months old.

We just returned from 10 days away in New York. The boys were (as always) spoiled rotten by nanny, poppy and great grandma! We went to a pumpkin patch, farm, bought fall decor, ate lunch by the water in Green Port, took a ferry ride to Ocean Beach and had dinner, went shopping (a lot) and watched your first ARMY football game with your new ARMY jersey's on!

Hudson, you have BOTH of your top molars in. Thayer, you have your top left in!

Huddles, we moved you up to a size 6 diaper! They aren't much bigger than the 5's though so I don't know what we will do if you don't slim down - at least in your thighs.

We've been going to the park much more since the weather is starting to cool down some. 90 feels amazing compared to the 105+! ha! Ya'll love to walk around and explore. You still like to swing, but nothing like you did before you could walk.

I think I can officially say that you have cut out your afternoon nap. :( !!!! Luckily, you are easy to entertain. That means you are awake from noon-ish to 6:30. If you don't take a nap, I put you to bed earlier to avoid any possible crankiness.

You both blow kisses and it's so sweet! Hudson, anytime you hear us say "good job, buddy" you clap! haha.

Huddles, when we read your farm animal book and we get to the sheep and dog parts, I make a woof and baaah sound. You look at me and then you do it! Too funny.

Thayer, you love to shake your head yes and no if I ask you something. I wonder if you really know what I'm asking you ?!

First spaghetti night was a success! Neither of you were too messy! ha! Daddy I think was sad he missed it, but he saw lots of pictures. Every night when he gets home, most nights you are already asleep, we sit together on the sofa or outside and go through the pictures and videos I have taken of you that day. I don't want him to miss a thing and I'm so lucky that he wants and ALLOWS me to stay home with you guys!

I know I am leaving a lot of things out, but I need to shower because you will be awake sooner rather than later and then its go, go, go!

Our sweet babies are BIG boys now! I can't believe how FAST this year flew by. I seriously can't remember the first few months. It definitely seems like a blur! Thank goodness for my blog so that I can remember exactly what happened! ha.

The boys are napping and I know I will only have a few minutes before they wake up (and I have 10,000 things to do before that).

Bullet points it is:

Both of you are WALKING! Everywhere, all the time! Non stop. Thayer, you might as well be running
You both only want to be in your stroller for 10 minutes max before you start getting restless. I bring lots of snacks to keep you entertained if I know I need at least 20 minutes in the store.
Love to ride in your wagon and LOVE to go on walks.
Thayer you scream when we take you out of your swing. You absolutely love it and have the biggest smile on your face the entire time... you love to go high!
Hudson, you like to stand up in your high chair and when you do sit down, you like to put your feet on your tray. You also love to listen to pandora while you eat and sway to the music. haha
You are both into everything! Cabinets, drawers, King's food. We finally put latches on all of the cabinets and had a gate installed on the stairs. Fireplace is next on the list!
You both love to climb UP your slide and slide down. We say 1,2, ready, GO! and down you go.
Uncle Matt and Aunt Abby bring over Bailey and Thayer you are obsessed! You are definitely an animal lover.
Dr. Nail said at your 12 month appt that you both have the vocabulary of a 15-18 month old!! You are SO smart and we are SO proud of you! (10 words. Dada, Mama, Nanny, Bye bye, Shoe, night night, PupPup, No, Done, Thank you but it sounds like TaTu)
Both clapping,waving hi and bye, and pointing! Hudson, you love to get my attention and then point at something.

I know I am biased, but you both seriously are the most handsome, beautiful, funny and sweet baby boys in the entire world! Hands down, without a doubt! People like to stop and tell me ALL of the time! We are so blessed.

11 Months

WOW! My babies are almost not babies anymore! We are in FULL party mode, seeing as I'm writing this post only a little over a week from their FIRST birthday!

Just wanted to jot a few new things the boys have been doing lately.

You can both climb all the way up the stairs, quickly!! Hudson, you know to turn around on your bottom and slide down on it (although, we only practice doing that on the bottom stair).

Ya'll can say: Mama, Dadda, Bye bye, night night (nigh nigh), nana (nanny), pu pu (puppy), and Thayer you said Uh Oh! haha!

T, you consistently take up to 10 steps and I really think you are going to walk by your first birthday or soon after.

H, you can stand up by yourself now without having to pull on on something.

You both are all boy! You love to 'wrestle' and Thayer you LOVE to throw things! You already have a great arm. Hudson, you are still a little ham and LAUGH all of the time!

My weight guesses are Hudson: 25 lbs. Thayer: 23 lbs.

Both in 2T and size 5 diapers

10 Months.. a little late

Hudson and Thayer,

You guys are go,go,go from 8 am until the time that you go to bed at 7:30! When you do nap, I have so much to do that I'm on full speed ahead mode! You guys crawl and pull up on everything. You can both stand without holding on for about 15- 20 seconds and I really think you will be walking by the time you turn 1! We are trying to wean you from bottles and you are doing great! Today, June 18, you have only had ONE bottle of formula and two sippy cups with formula (at 4:45)! You haven't added any new words to your vocabulary this past month, but you are trying to figure out how to say puppy (pupu). You would rather eat finger foods than puree and LOVE chicken! Ya'll are getting so big, so fast! I will try to add to this when I have more time, but right now you guys are waking up from a nap!

9 Months

We are settling in to our NEW home in Texas and we absolutely LOVE it! We closed on our house April 30th, moved in May 2 and left for my brother in law, Jonathan's, Law school graduation in Michigan May 4. To say the house is literally a disaster is an understatement. Boxes everywhere! Furniture being delivered almost every day. Painters and crown molding peeps up in here!! One day we might get unpacked. Hopefully, before August and our sweet boys FIRST birthday (that I need to start planning, like yesterday).

So much has happened this past month it's not even funny! Sad, really because my babies aren't going to be real babies for much longer :(

Thayer,
You now have SIX teeth and you like to use them! You have bitten me a time or two and today you got your brother really good on his wrist. Normally, it's on his foot! haha. You are an excellent teether and never shed any tears from getting a new tooth. Occasionally, you won't finish an entire bottle, but that's it. Thank goodness! You are constantly on the move and pulling up on everything. You can say mama, dada, bye bye and even a "sentence" bye bye, dada dada! It's so cute! You are starting to get sweet curls in the back near your ears, but you still look like your daddy spit you out of his mouth! You have been such an easy baby lately, which has been nice because we have been on the go since we got to Texas! Sometimes, you are tired of going though and whine when I get you in and out of the stroller and car seat so many times. I know you are going to get upset I post this, but anytime (and everytime) I put you in a smocked outfit you poop all over it. I had to strip you down in the church parking lot a few Sunday's ago and change your entire outfit. Poop was even on daddy's shoes, but it was SO funny! You love to laugh at your big brother and light up when daddy gets home from work, which is normally right after bath time. You hold your own bottle and have started taking a sippy cup of water if we are out and about and it isn't time for you to eat yet. You love puffs! When you are full and don't want anymore food, you shake your head no. You have 3-4 solid foods per day and 4 sometimes 5 bottles. You both are so consistent with your sleep and wake times and I am so lucky to have such wonderful sleepers! Bedtime is at 7:30 and you wake up at 8! Then go back to bed at 10 and wake about 11 or 11:30. We leave the house after that nap and you normally have another nap around 3:30 when we get back home. You have started to climb up on top of things and I don't think you are scared to do anything! You love to stand up in your crib, which scares me to death even though your crib is at the lowest level. You have adjusted so well to your new home and I know you will love it in Texas!

You have FOUR teeth! When you are having problems with a tooth you don't like to finish an entire bottle, but you never fuss with it really. EVERYTHING goes into your mouth. You still love your paci. You crawl and can even walk using your push walker. You started clapping your chubby, little hands and when I say yayyy! you clap and squeal. You can say bye bye and dada. We are working on mama, still. If you weren't such a mama's boy I would be sad you didn't say mama yet. You are finally getting more hair and it is coming in blonde! You are sleeping so well, still! Bedtime is anywhere between 7:30- 8:00 and you wake up around 8! You HATE puffs and would rather play with them than put them in your mouth. You love to play with Thayer and chuckle so loud anytime you two are playing. You love to ride in the car and look out the window. You really are very easy to take out and about. You love your baby einstein table and a blow up ball from Gran. You are eating 3-4 solid foods per day and normally 4 bottles. You take a sippy cup, but normally the water is all over you! You keep shoes on your fat little feet for about 20 minutes and then you kick them off. You are doing so well in your new home and I love being able to stay at home everyday with you and your baby brother!

Life has been so busy the past few weeks. We packed up our stuff, Justin drove to Texas, the boys, my mom and I flew to Texas, we moved into corporate housing, went house hunting, found a house and are waiting to close April 30th! That's a 3 week close date! To say it was crazy around here would be an understatement. We are also going to Michigan the weekend after we close to proudly watch my brother in law graduate with his business AND law degree, so putting the house together will be a slow process. I wanted to jot down a few things the boys have been doing this past month so we wouldn't forget.

Hudson,
You got your first tooth April 7 (bottom right)! I could see it for a few weeks, but it took forever to pop through. You were such a good baby the entire time too! You are happy, laugh, crinkle your nose and have the biggest grin on your face all day long! You love to talk and sqeal and scare your brother when you do! You love to play with him, although he sometimes doesn't care to be pulled down by you. You started crawlingna few weeks ago, but you are much faster scooting on your hinny to get places so you do that most of the time. You are super strong and pull up on the sofa and on me when I sit on the floor with you. You take a few steps when we practice walking, but you aren't so sure about it. You are an amazing sleeper and sleep from 7:30- 7:00 or 7:30. You eat 4 solid meals per day and have 4 bottles. You aren't a picky eater at all! You are such a busy body that I have to give you a toy to hold when I'm feeding you a bottle. Gran taught you how to dance when she was here! She wouLd hold you and put out her hand and say "let's dance" and you would out your hand in hers and giggle while she would dance around in a circle. It is so cute and you love it! You also started giving the BEST hugs. I love it when you wrap your arms around my neck and squeeze. You don't go back to the doctor until May 17th, but I would guess that you weigh 23 pounds and around 30 inches. Someone asked me the other day if you were 18 months! Haha! You are adjusting great to Texas and are ready for a real football helmet just as soon as you can get on the pee wee football team. We have retired your doc band and only wore it for 3 months! I think I will miss it when you begin walking. We love you buddy!

You had 3 teeth by the time you turned 8 months! Your top left tooth came in April 9. It gave you a little grief, but who can blame you? You got both of your top ones within 3 days of one another. Poor baby. You weren't sleeping as well as you had been, but I think you were going through a growth spurt because all you did all day was eat and you wanted to eat at night,too. You eat 4 solid meals a day and have 4 bottles and sometimes finish your brother's bottle. You have started to get a little more picky with food and if you don't want it you will spit it back out... At me, until I make you something else. I'm usually pretty good about hiding whatever it is you don't like in something you do like though, haha. You are a fast crawler and you love to flip the pages on books, your train, and your leap frog table. You are very vocal and a BIG flirt! You smile and your face lights up and will melt anyone's heart. Sometimes you decide that you don't want to go into your carseat and that's a struggle that takes a while to get you in, but once you are in, you're fine. We now play peek a boo in your mirror while I'm getting you in. That helps a lot! You love King and reach for him all the time or just watch him if you are in the highchair. You love to ride on your daddys shoulders. Your brother slept through his first tornado, but you were wide awake and looking around making sure everyone was safe!I'm guessing that weigh 20 pounds and are 30 inches. You are our little angel baby and we love you so much!

Goodness gracious! Seriously, I can't believe my babies are 7 months old! I was looking back and their newborn pictures and I can't even remember them being that small. They grew so fast and have changed so much in such a short period of time. They look nothing like they looked when they were born. We have been so busy this past month and have had lots of nighttime outings for numerous reasons, but they did so well and never got fussy for being out past their bedtime, which is between 7:30-8:00. They are always such show stealers! haha. AND BIG FLIRTS! Goodness, I'm going to have my hands full when they get older!

Hudson,
You have become such a content and happy baby. When you were younger, you would cry some, but I know it was because you had acid reflux. You are obviously outgrowing that and rarely cry or spit up anymore, which is a huge blessing because I get to do less laundry. You could care less about jumping in your jumperoo now, but love to push up and stand in your walker and exersaucer. You could sit all day on your activity mat and play with your toys. You reach so far out in front of you to grab and pull other toys you want towards you. It scares me because I'm scared you will "face plant", but you have great control and balance! You love to turn your toys in all different directions and upside down. The other day you pulled your tummy time mat over to you (by its tag) and covered your legs with it like it was a blanket! You are such an attention grabber and absolutely love to laugh and talk. You have the funniest ~~little~~ loud chuckle! You get SO excited too and stick your arms out to your side with your little fists balled and laugh, but your face looks like its frozen in place. It is hilarious! You love to be tickled! You also love your puppy, King. You reach for him anytime he's around you. I have a feeling you will definitely be an animal lover. Poor King.
You have good days and bad days with your spoon feedings, which we now do 3 times a day. You do great at your 11 am feeding (you have either mango, bananas, pears or apples) plus a little bottle. Maybe 4 ounces, but at the next two spoon feedings you will only have about half of your bowl. Maybe it's because you don't care for peas, carrots, and sweet potatoes. haha! You LOVE bath time and fuss when it's time to get you out and dress you for nighttime, but as soon as we stick your bottle in your mouth you are as happy as can be! Your nighttime bottle is 9 ounces. For a week or so, you were waking up around 3-4 am and crying so I would have to feed you, but since we increased your bottle by one ounce you sleep until 8:00- 8:30! We started putting you to bed without your paci and you have done great without it! Thank goodness. You are in your big boy carseat and I think you think you are such a big boy! You don't fall asleep in it too often because you are too busy looking out the window and at your self in the mirror on the back of the seat. You don't even want your paci at all when you are in your carseat! You have started taking a really long nap in the mornings, normally around 2 hours and I don't know what to do with myself because I'm so accustomed to having someone awake. haha! Your doc band has helped reshape your head so much in such a short period of time. You still don't mind it at all!
Daddy and I are so excited to celebrate St. Patrick's day and my birthday and SOON Easter with you and Thayer! We love you so much and are enjoying every new stage that you are going through.

You are on the move sweet boy! I can't turn my back without you crawling under something or being in a completely different place in 5 seconds flat! You get on your hands and knees and jump forwards or on your hands and toes with your little tush straight up in the air and "walk" there. You definitely keep me on my toes, too! You are such a good eater (solids). You open your mouth up wide and you aren't a messy eater, except when it comes to eating peas because you don't like those very much. Your favorite is still avocado, but I think carrots are pretty close, too! Guess what little guy? You got your FIRST tooth on March 7th! I checked your mouth when you woke up and I didn't see or feel ANYTHING, you played and then went back down for a nap and when I woke you up and was changing your diaper, BAM! There was a pearly white staring at me! Tears were shed, by me, but you have been the sweet little angel that you are! Such a big boy. You haven't figured out how to go forwards in your walker yet and thats okay by me because I know once you do that you will be into everything! You still absolutely love to jump in your jumperoo. I have to stick you in that if I need to get a few things done around the kitchen. That way I know where you are. haha! You are long and lean and I think its from all the exercise you get during the day! lol. You're still pretty heavy though, but you have definitely started slowing down! Thank goodness :) You are in your big boy car seat, too! You use to hate going in your infant carrier, but now you don't mind your new Britax seat. When I get you out to put you in the stroller you normally don't want to so I have to carry you and push your brother in the stroller to where we are going. You still fall asleep pretty quickly in your car seat.
Bath time is so much fun for ~~mommy and daddy to watch~~ you to splash around. You have THE biggest smile on your face the entire time. I am SOAKED afterwards from all of your splashing. I can't wait to see how much you love the pool this summer. You go straight to bed after your bath and nighttime bottle (9oz) and don't make a peep until around 8 am the next morning. I'm positive that you absolutely wear yourself out during your bath. Like your brother, you are one big flirt! You smile at everyone and do things to get peoples attention so they will look at you. You have started this really high pitched scream and when I look at you, you smile and laugh. Sometimes it scares your brother who is normally right beside you. You two are the best of friends and 'talk' all day long. I wish I knew what you were saying!
Daddy and I love you so much and look forward to sharing Easter (mommy and daddy's first date) with you. We decided that it's going to always be special for our little family, not only because that's when we had our first date in Charleston, but because of the resurrection of JESUS and the eternal life that he has given us!

I can't believe our sweet boys are 6 months old, already! I also can't believe how little time I have and that I only get one post up per month! Ha, at least it's an important one.

Hudson and Thayer,

You both are such a joy and the apples of my eye! You are professional travelers now and also {technically} world travelers since you have been out of the country! You have flown to South Carolina twice in a months time and also to New York. Thayer, I think flying bothers you some because you are more fussy and you never are. Hudson, you don't have a problem with it, whatsoever. You both are eating very well lately and we will probably increase your spoon feedings to twice a day. I am making your baby food myself and I enjoy doing it so much! You both are rolling from your back to tummy and tummy to back. Thayer, you are still rolling across the floor to get where you want to go and somehow manage to crawl backwards. You get on all fours and rock back and forth a few times. It is absolutely hilarious. I had a mommy spa day this weekend and when I came home (daddy watched you) you were in the middle of the floor near the kitchen. I NEVER let you get off of you play mat before I move you back. I asked your daddy what you were doing there and he said, "I promise he wasn't there when I went to open the door for you." Buddy, you are FAST! Maybe you will figure out how to go forward this coming month. Both of you have really started to enjoy playing with your toys and sometimes you "fight" over the same toy! I'm sure these will be the start of many arguments over things. Your naps aren't going so well, but I can't complain because you both sleep around 12.5 hours at night. Sometimes, I can get an hour nap out of you though, which is nice so I can get some things done around the house. Hudson, you have done so well with wearing your helmet. It doesn't bother you at all. You both had a little cold and are currently taking antibiotics to help you feel better. You probably got sick going from 20 degree weather to 70 degree weather and back again.... Twice! I'm sorry. Thayer, you smile All.The.Time and it is so contagious! Hudson, you laugh hysterically and love to smile, also! You both stare at King if he gets close Hudson you grab at him. Thayer, I don't think you care that much about him. Thayer, you would rather be standing than sitting and love to jump in your jumperoo. Hudson, you want to be held or sitting on your mat with me right beside you. You celebrated daddy's 30th surprise birthday party this past weekend and I think you guys stole the show. There were around 30 people there and I think everyone "ooed and aahed" over you. You guys are absolutely the most BEAUTIFUL baby boys in the entire world! Daddy and I are so lucky to have you!

5 Months

The twins turned 5 MONTHS old today! I can't believe that next month they will be half way to ONE! Seriously, time has flown by way.too.fast and it makes me so sad. They are no longer my itty bitty babies.

The day after Thanksgiving the boys and I flew to South Carolina for the month of December. I was so nervous about flying with them alone, but they did exceptionally well and slept most of the flight. There were actually 3!

Your first Christmas card

Hudson,
You are my ~~good~~ great eater! You know exactly when it is time to eat and you will let me know that it has been at least 3 hours since your last bottle. You take 6 ounces in each bottle during the day and 7-8 ounces at night. We started spoon feeding you Christmas day and you did great! You really got the hang of it pretty quickly, no big surprise there though. So far, you have had rice cereal, oatmeal, prunes, sweet potatoes and squash. You aren't a fan of prunes so I mix that in with your oatmeal. You LOVE squash and make a yumm sound when you eat it. It is SO funny! You are such a little ham! You love to laugh and talk, especially first thing in the morning. You can talk in your crib for at least an hour before you start to get fussy and want to hang out with me. You go to bed anywhere between 8-9 and have been sleeping until 6:30-7:30. You have about 3 naps a day and for about an hour each. You can sit up by yourself with a little help from your boppy around your hips. You still love your paci and can take it out of your mouth and then put it back in your mouth all by yourself. You love to suck on your hand, too! You finally found your feet a few days ago and I bet if your belly wasn't in the way you would put those in your mouth also. We are going to move you into a bigger carseat soon because you just aren't comfortable in your Peg Perego infant one anymore. Your favorite activity is jumping and you loved being in your jumper at Nanny and Poppy's house. You also love to play on your play mat and pull at the toys hanging. Unfortunately, you have an appointment next week to get fitted for your very first "football" helmet. Daddy and I know you will grow to become use to it and will not have any problems wearing it for a short time. Hopefully, only a few months. You are such a joy to have and I am so glad I get to be home with you every single day.

My strong baby! You have super baby strength no doubt. You have been rolling from your back to your tummy for a few weeks now. Your great- gran was the first to see you do it because I had gone to the Post Office to mail a few Christmas gifts to New York. You haven't stopped since. In the middle of the night you will roll from your back to your tummy and sleep. At first I was so worried about you sleeping like that since all of the recommendations say back is best, but I can't stop you from doing it. For about a week and a half you would wake yourself up when you rolled over and I guess you couldn't get comfortable so you would wake us up to help you. A few nights you were almost inconsolable and it broke my heart. You have since gotten the hang of it and sleep through the night again. You aren't the best eater, but you still eat enough. Sometimes you get frustrated with eating from the spoon and decide you've had enough. You sit very well by yourself, but I'm always close by to catch you if you fall. You are trying your hardest to crawl and can push up on your arms and knees, but don't know what to do next so you lay back on your tummy and just army crawl. It might take you forever to get there, but if you want to get there bad enough you don't give up. You laugh at your brother alot, especially when he's crying. haha! You really enjoy being in your exersauser. You are such a good little boy and Santa spoiled you rotten! You are still such an easy baby and your smile melts my heart! You look more and more like your daddy each and every day!

I know I said that I was going to post the boys 3 month update, but I just can't do that right now... Not when there is a little boy that could use all of the prayers in the world right now.

I've been following Tripp's story in blog land for a little while now. Last week, when I was catching up on him, it hit me pretty hard how much pain he is in and how blessed I am to have healthy babies. His mama is one strong woman and devotes her life to this precious little boy! When I was saying my prayers to God that night - it was like God told me to give up something that I do a lot and every time I went to do this, I should instead pray for Tripp. So I've given up facebook, silly activity, huh? But, in my defense, it's how I keep up with my friends and family on the East Coast.

For a week now, every single time that I have thought about going to get on facebook I have prayed HARD for this baby boy. I pray that he and his mommy will get a Christmas miracle and that he won't be in ANY pain! None of us are promised tomorrow, but if anyone deserves many, many tomorrow's it is Tripp. He is such a strong, beautiful baby.

So, I challenge you to give up something, anything until Christmas and instead pray hard on your knees ... For Tripp!

Where has November gone? Thursday is Thanksgiving and I leAve Friday for South Carolina! If anyone spots a blonde with two babies in an airport, please stop and check on her. Ha!

This weekend was pretty low key for us. SaturDAY we spent all day in our p.j.'s cleaning the house and feeding babies every three hours. Saturday night we had a few of our friends over for drinks before they headed out for the evening. The babies go to bed between 9-9:30 and I'm usually in bed by 9:31! Needless to say it was a rather late night for me when my head finally hit the pillow at midnight. I wasn't too tired today though, thank goodness.

Today, we ventured up to Park City for a little shopping ~~that we didn't need~~.
I Justin purchased a few dresses for me and a sweater and he got himself lots of nice things too! We had mor errands to run, but never made it around to those, so I'll have to tackle that this week.

We had reservations to have Thanksgiving dinner at a nice restaurant, but today I decided to cook on the condition that Justin would take care of H and T while I prepared dinner. At least he will have leftovers while I'm away.... For a MONTH! I can't believe we will be gone for so long,but look forward to meeting him in NY Christmas Eve!

Tomorrow, I promise to finally post the boys 3 month update that seriously has been in the draft section for at least 2 weeks, but I still haven't uploaded their pictures to the computer.

Twin Happenings

We've been MIA the last few weeks as you can tell since I just posted their 2 month pictures and updates from October 10th. We were traveling all last week and it was AH-MAZING! We went to Seattle, Vancouver, drove through Portland (and decided not to stop because, well, it looked "weird" - I mean their slogan is "keep it weird" - no joke), Sonoma, and San Francisco. WOW! What a ton of driving! It took us 18 hours to get to Seattle, partly due to a late start, a dead battery, and stopping to feed and let babies stretch every 3 hours. It was so worth it though, because I fell in LOVE with Seattle! By far, the most amazing smaller city in the US. Nothing compares to NYC though :) The babes did wonderful the entire trip and were so super easy. I'm positive they enjoyed having their daddy around for a little over a week, because I sure did! If I had even a penny for everyone that stopped and admired the boys - it would have covered my salary from being a drug rep! Poor Thayer- people always think he's a girl because "He's just so beautiful." "Look at that beautiful face, and those eyelashes." Sad thing is, he's always in blue (or at least in a boyish outfit) so I'm not sure where the confusion comes from. He is beautiful though and so is my big boy, Hudson!

I already miss them being "small" - I wish they would stop growing, already!

I should be cleaning, washing clothes, dishes, bottles, but I'm just not in the mood for it right now.

The boys are getting their shots today. I decided at their 2 month appointment I just wasn't ready for them to have them, but now I feel more comfortable about the whole situation. We are leaving for the doctor early so I can stop by Walgreens for infant Tylenol. I love that Nanny is the office manager for a Ped's office. If I have any concerns or questions she can usually answer them, and if not she has 3 doctors she can ask ASAP. I also love that she sends us TONS and I mean TONS of free formula! I seriously don't think that we have spent more than $100 on formula since they were born! It's so expensive and we are SO grateful!

I love picking them up out of their cribs each morning and seeing them smile back at me! It warms my heart so much!

Last night they slept from 10 pm to 5:15 am! Woo Hoo! Then again until 9 and 9:30! They are napping again right now. I actually had time to shower, apply makeup and a BIG one... Dry and Straighten my hair.

We are planning on going to Michigan for Thanksgiving! We (all) can't wait to finally meet our sweet nephew Chase and see Jack, Jonathan, and Monica! I wish we all lived closer so the boys could all play together. Hopefully, soon ;)

I will be in South Carolina for the ENTIRE month of December and I Can. Not. Wait. Justin may not be able to fly down with me and of course the twins, so I'm already having anxiety about how it will work out. I know I can do it though. I mean I do it everyday alone. Right? Baby bjourn one and hold the other on the plane. In the airport, snap and go stroller. Simple right? We'll see. I'll practice on the way to Michigan and have Justin their just in case. I think I'm just worried about any delays/sleeping in the airport because let's be realistic, it happens to me (and only me usually) all the time.

King is back from doggy day care. He's skin and bones - literally, no hair remember. ha! He probably weighs 5 pounds tops now. He always losses weight when he's there for a long period of time. Then, he comes home and sleeps and eats for a few days after.

hmm, I think that's about it for now....

Say a little prayer for the boys as they get their shots this afternoon. Say one for mommy too that she doesn't have an anxiety attack. I'll be having a ~~large~~ glass of wine this evening.

Two Months - October 10

The boys turned two months old on October 10th! I absolutely cannot believe how fast time has (already) flown by! They will be going to their official two month old appointment tomorrow and getting their shots! I'm so sad and nervous already about it. Definitely thinking about delaying their DTaP vaccine due to the increased SIDs risk. I know people have different opinions on vaccines and to do them/not to do them/delay them. I have a mixed feeling about them. Certain ones I feel are okay, others I feel like there is just alot of uncertainty (MMR, DTaP in particular). We will vaccinate the boys, but maybe on just a delayed schedule. Guess I better decide before tomorrow at 11:30, huh!?

Anyway, on to my sweet babes and all that they have done this past month.

You are SO Big! I can't believe how much weight you have gained since you were born! Last week, I had to take you to Dr. Memmott because you have a little reflux that makes you fussy after each bottle. You now take liquid Zantac twice a day. Sometimes you spit it right out and other times it doesn't bother you at all. You drink around 33-35 ounces of milk per day. Only once or twice you had 38 ounces. You wear a size one diaper and 0-3 month clothes. Almost all of your hair on top has fallen out. You aren't a big fan of tummy time. Bath time is your favorite and you cry when it's time to come out. We started giving you a bath every night instead of every other and it definitely helps you fall asleep. Speaking of sleep, the past three nights you have slept from 10:15 ish to 5 , wake up for your bottle and then go right back to sleep until 9 or 9:30. THANK YOU!! You still like your paci, but nothing like you did last month. Your smile is contagious and you love smiling at your daddy (he loves it, too!). Your eyes light up when you smile. You are loved more each day!

Sweet boy! You are such a little cuddle bug. I love it. You are so easy going. We had a party for you when you graduated from newborn to size one diapers. You wear all 0-3 month clothing, too! My little 5 pound baby is long gone. Your hair on top of your head is coming back in. It's a light brown color and you have a few very long sprigs sticking up. You drink 33-35 ounces of milk per day, too. You sleep from 10:30 until 4:30 and I give you a paci and you fall back to sleep for another hour or so. Today, you rolled over for the first time! What a great two month present for your mommy!! You woke up smiling today and you haven't stopped yet. Right now, I am holding you and you're holding your wubbbanub. Your eye lashes have grown so long and full! I know you will learn to bat those at me to get whatever you want soon. You look just like your daddy. You are more and more a blessing each and every day!

Tickle Time!

As of this afternoon, I am "unemployed". I am no longer required to get dressed in suits or skirts and wear high heels, although, the heels was my requirement. I will no longer contribute to our family bank account. I won't be responsible for increasing sales and "driving business." I won't have to travel to week long meetings and sit for hours on end every few months. I won't have weekly conference calls. I won't be getting a bonus every quarter. I won't have to count endless samples and worry that I might be off a few. I won't have a business plan to complete. I will no longer drive hours and hours everyday. I will no longer be taking Starbucks or food to offices. I am no longer answering to a company of thousands. I am no longer a pharmaceutical sales representative.

As of this afternoon, I am officially a stay at home mom (SAHM). I will spend most of my days in yoga pants and tanks covered in spit up. My heel collection will most likely never be touched. It will be replaced by flats. I am now responsible for increasing the weight of our children. I will travel for family vacations. I will count the amount of dirty diapers I change everyday. I will drive to doctors appointments, the grocery store, and play dates. I will be making myself coffee instead of the barista making it for me and an office of 20. I will only be answering to three people now, two of which have no teeth (yet). I am a stay at home mommy and I couldn't be any happier!

After talking it through with my amazing husband, now turned boss, we have decided that it will be best for me to stay home. I am so fortunate that I can do that right now. It may not last forever so we will reevaluate if need be. Our lifestyles will change dramatically as far as our finances are concerned. No more shopping trips just to buy something because I want it, not because I need it. No more designer purses or shoes for awhile. No more dining out every night. I'm going to have to learn how to cook! So many changes, but so worth it.

I can honestly say that over the past 7 weeks, being a mom is much harder than being a pharmaceutical sales representative.

I think I live for Fridays and the weekend, just not in the same way that I use to. Fridays mean that daddy will be home ~~to help and give me a break~~ to enjoy the boys for two full days ! They change daily and I'm so glad that I'm home to see it!

Daddy woke up Saturday for the middle of the night feeding. It was wonderful to be able to sleep 4 hours straight for the first time since they were born.

We had our first Pumpkin Spice Lattes of the season and now I'm obsessed again. I had to get another Sunday morning, too.

The boys are always so good during the weekends. Monday comes and it's crazy again. I think Justin thinks I lie when I say how crazy busy I am during the day, not to mention exhausted.

Hand washing bottles and sterilizing them takes forever. I'm sure most people put them in the dishwasher, but I don't want them to get any left over residue on them and then my boys get that in their mouths. To me, it's more than worth it to hand wash them. It won't last forever and I'll probably miss doing it.

Yesterday, Hudson had 38 oz of milk. According to google a 9 pound baby should have 23 ounces in a 24 hour period. I think he weighs more than 9 pounds now. All I know is the child loves to eat! Thayer had 31 ounces.

Aunt shelly comes next week and we can't wait. Justin took off next Friday and we are all taking a road trip to Yellowstone. Maybe we'll see Yogi bear. Haha

October 15-24 will be our first family trip! We're going to San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, BC. I can't wait. We've been wanting to head west forever, but never had enough time with all the weddings, etc. We've had to attend since being in Utah. Hopefully, the boys cooperate with all the traveling. It will be good practice for their trip to SC in December!

Things are changing for our family again and I can't wait to share soon! Dont worry, I'm not pregnant! Haha I would D.I.E. - I didn't even think that would be possible, but Justin told me that a guy he works with friends wife found out she was pregnant at her 6 week postpartum check up. Things shouldn't surprise me here, it is Utah after all, but really people?!? Who.has.time!

That's my motto these days I think, "who has time?". I'm blogging with a baby sleeping in my arms.

I'm exhausted. It's been a fast, yet long, 6 weeks. In one aspect I can't believe that our boys have been with us for 6 weeks already, yet these 6 weeks feel like I've been awake for 6 years. Unless you have twins, or more, you really have no idea how exhausting having a baby(ies) can be. I know one is a lot of work, but add in another and you're at a different level. Trust me! It takes an hour or more to feed them both and change diapers. Then, add in either getting them back to sleep at 2 am or playing with them during the day and it's time to start all over again. I wish we lived closer to family for a little help. For those reading that have children and live close to family... I'm jealous. You are lucky, so count your blessings!

Yesterday, was my 6 week postpartum appointment. The boys came with me of course. Everyone loved them, but how could they not?! Afterwards, we ventured to babies r us to get a tandem stroller that would be easier for quick errands. Thank goodness there was a lonesome cart outside and thank goodness that the basket of the cart was large enough to fit a carseat in it. Stroller is ordered and will hopefully arrive by the end of this week ;)

I am off to warm bottles and change diapers. Happy 6 weeks to my precious blessings! Even though I love seeing and kissing your sweet faces at 3 am, let's work on sleeping more during the night!
