Hello All!

I've enjoyed my lovely spring break; taking a bit
of time away from the computer was very
refreshing.

Thank you to all who commented and wrote
lovely emails of encouragement and support.
I'm convinced bloggers are some of the
world's best people!!

Though I've been on break, I certainly have
not been sitting on the sofa eating bon-bons!
I have much to share with you.

Lets start with this, my first share...

I've started a NEW BLOG! yep, I did.
I felt a need to start again,
to freshen things up a bit.

Although it's quite empty at the moment,
I would love for you to pop over and say hi.

Spring is right around the corner...soon time to hit those hiking trails again! I made a thank you card for the Ranger that leads us on our next educational hike.

Joy's Life stamps (Lots of Pun)

kraft cs, memento ink, embossing powder,

Tim Holtz Distress inks (shaded lilac, mowed lawn)

It's so much fun playing with distress inks, here I smeared some ink on a non-porous surface, spritzed it with water and 'smashed' my cardstock face-down into the droplets of ink. press down, lift up and dry with a heat gun or let it air-dry. that's it!

I created a matchbook fold card...with an Action Wobble chick! Too fun!

Cricut - Plantin Schoolbook, pg 69 <grass> cut @ 1 inch.

The card front tucks in between the bottom flap & the grass for a secure fit! easy peasy but adds a bit of interest!

Here's another fun idea!

I made a shaped tag the other day for a simple gift I crocheted.

I'm still using the $2.00 baskets I purchased @ Goodwill last year. They make such a nice presentation for home-made gifts!

A Simple Love!

A simple "I love you!" and some chocolates!

Joy's Life clear stamps set (Joyful Hearts)

Kraft cardstock, Washi tape, baker's twine,

SU! embossing powder, SU! ink pad.

The Joyful Hearts stamp set includes images as well as sentiments...vertical sentiments! How cool is that?!

I used Stampin' Up's original pink embossing powder, long since retired, for my shiny heart!

Fun & Easy treat to share; candy hearts! (in my above photo)

Melt some candy melts in a microwave safe bowl & spoon the melted chocolate into your candy molds!

Refrigerate your molds for a short time, then pop out your chocolate hearts! Bag them up for a treat to share or make a variety of colors to display in a candy bowl! A totally kid-friendly project!

Joyful Heart tags

Our weather has been crazy here in PA. Last week we had 'subzero temps' and this week it feels like springtime! very strange!

I have a fun gift idea to share with your scrappy friends for Valentine's Day.

If you purchase both the 6x6 and 12x12 pads of a specific designer paper collection, you can use the 6x6 to create tags, embellishments, etc. then give your handmade items along with the 12x12 paper pad to a scrappy friend as a lovely coordinating gift set!

Aren't the detailed hearts lovely?

My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found Union Square) papers
Zva Creative gems, MFT die-namics heart die,
Hot off the Press wing stamp, MS border punch,
Sizzix flourish die, SU! word window punch,

SU! ink pad, Ranger clear embossing powder.
