During November I spent a lot of time driving around New England, and in the car I listened to mainstream rap radio a bunch. While some of it was unlistenable drivel, there were some gems and I enjoyed the DJ techniques and the energy.

In this show, I take some hot 2011 tracks and try my hand at the format, but broadening the horizons and excluding the shit music. In the end it spans the landscape (love that metaphor) from Major Lazer to A$AP Rocky to Little Dragon to Charles Bradley. Then, in the last 25 minutes I play 90's hip hop.
I worry that the world has moved on in such a way that I am alone in loving that 88-era hip hop. Sure, we all love Boogie Down Productions, Slick Rick, and Biz Mark but what about JVC Force, Chill Rob G, and MC Lyte? These three start this edition of Right On with impeccable jams that make me smile ear to ear.
