What kind of confusion?

HTML : Lots of people think that my tags tell the browsers how to display the content. It’s just not true! I’m all about structure, not presentation.

CSS:Heck yeah - I don’t want people giving you credit for my work!

HTML: Well, you can see how some people might get confused; after all, it’s possible to use HTML without CSS and still get a decent-looking page.

CSS: “Decent” might be overstating it a bit, don’t you think? I mean, the way most browsers display straight HTML looks kinda crappy. People need to learn how powerful CSS is and how easily I can give their web pages great style.

HTML:Hey, I’m pretty powerful too. Having your content structured is much more important than having it look good. Style is so superficial; it’s the structure of the content that matters.

CSS: Get real! Without me web pages would be pretty damn boring. Not only that, take away the ability to style pages and no one is going to take your pages seriously. Everything is going to look clumsy and unprofessional.

HTML: Whoa, what an ego! Well I guess I shouldn’t expect anything else from you – you’re just trying to make a fashion statement with all that style you keep talking about.

CSS: Fashion statement? Good design and layout can have a huge effect on how readable and usable pages are. And you should be happy that my flexible style rules allow designers to do all kinds of interesting things with your elements without messing up your structure.

HTML: Right. In fact we’re totally different languages, which is good because I wouldn’t want any of your style designers messing with my structure elements.

CSS: Don’t worry, we’re living in separate universes.

HTML: Yea, that is obvious to me any time I look at CSS – talk about an alien language.

CSS: Yeah, like HTML can be called a language? Who has ever seen such a clunky thing with all those tags?

HTML: Millions of web writers would disagree with you. I’ve got a nice clean syntax that fits right in with the content.

CSS: Just take a look at CSS; it’s so elegant and simple, no goofy angle brackets <around> <everything>. <See> <"I"> <can><talk> <just><like><Mr.>"<HTM>"<,><look><at> <me><!>

HTML: Hey stupid, ever heard of closing tags?
Just notice that no matter where you go, I’ve got you surrounded by <"style">
tags. Good luck escaping!

CSS: Ha! I’ll show you... because, guess what? I can escape...

Source : Orelly's HEad first HTML and CSS :)

Psychologists are nearly unanimous in recommending that you keep your eye on the doughnut.
But now two researchers are suggestingthat for some people, a little pessimism may be a good thing. According to Julie K. Norem and psychologist Nancy Cantor, these people are able to use "defensive pessimism' to prevent the prospect of failure from immobilizing them.
To study the benefits of gloom anddoom, Norem and Cantor divided college students into optimists and defensive pessimists, on the basis of a questionnaire that measured their expectations in academic situations. Students in both groups had strong grade-point averages, and pessimists were as willing as optimists to acknowledge their previous academic successes.
The researchers then presented thestudents with a puzzle-like task and asked them to predict how well they would do. True to form, the pessimists made glummer predictions than the optimists did. They also scored higher on a measure of test anxiety. Yet the pessimists actually performed just as well as the optimists did on the puzzle. Their anxiety and their low expectations had not hurt their performance.
To find out whether the pessimistswere actually using a defensive strategy, the researchers repeated the study. This time, however, an experimenter offered encouragement to half the students before they began working, noting their grade-point averages and commenting that they would probably do quite well.
Once again, pessimists thoughtthey would do worse than optimists, and once again there were no overall differences in performance. However, although encouragement had no effect on the optimists' performance, it actually impaired the peformance of the pessimists. Norem and Cantor suggest that the experimenter's kind words interfered with the pessimists' strategy of anticipating the worst and then working hard to avoid it. Instead of harnessing their anxiety and turning it into productive effort, the pessimists seem to have succumbed to it.
The researchers conclude thatwhen well-intentioned people reassure pessimists that everything will be fine, they may not be doing them a favor. Defensive pessimists may need to play their little cognitive trick on themselves in order to do well. The best way for them to get the doughnut may be to prepare for the possibility of getting only the hole.

Well i guess that explains why i am what i am!
fear runs me more that hope!
;o)
