Fixing your damaged headphones

For people like me, who love listening to music on the go, headphones are important. And the chances that your headphones stop working or are working partially after a period of time are very high, Since the parts of the headphones are really delicate.

Fixing up a pair of headphones is not a big deal and you can easily fix up your headphone by learning a few things.

For that you need the following items:

Soldering iron
Solder wire
A pair of old headphones( Not the one's you are repairing)
Wires
Connector, if that is the cause of the headphone not working
Screw drivers
Wire stripper
Sharp blade

And of course your headphones that need repairing.

The first step in fixing up your headphones is to identify the fault, Basically there are just 3 types of fault in any of the headphones and that are:

Breaking, bending or stretching of the wire.
Problem with the connector due to excessive use.
At the joint, where the wire meets the headphones.

After you have identified the fault, follow the following steps:

If the problem is with the wire, then it is best to replace the whole wire from the old pair of headphones or use a new wire if you have any.
If the problem is with the connector, then cut the wire at that end and solder a new connector with that wire ( A Connector merely costs 10 bucks and is easily available at most of the electrical shops)
If the problem is at the joint where the wire meets the headphones, then properly solder that part or replace that part of the wire with a new wire. This fault is usually when the sound is audible only at one side of the headphones.

And you can easily fix up your favorite headphones by just following these steps.

Important: Before these steps, find the best possible way to open your headphones. It may be glued, fused as one piece, have clamps or simply screwed with one another. So carefully examine this thing before opening it up. Don't just apply too much of force that the frame ends up breaking into pieces.

And if you fault is not one of these then either consult someone who knows a bit of electronics else get a new pair.

Android apps on windows

At times you feel like testing your apps on windows before installing it to your phone because sometimes it occupies unnecessary space on your phone or some of you might like running your android apps on a larger screen ie your PC.

For that we have a software named BlueStacks, It is an app player on windows which run the apps much faster than it runs on your phone and that too on a larger screen. It includes 10 apps by default and the user can add upto 26 more of their choice from the app store. You can transfer apps on windows from your phone via internet route or you can even download apps through the software's website itself. The software is just a virtual android operating system simulating android phone or UI. The folder in which the software is installed contains the necessary files such such as kernel, system, boot etc. The android version it uses is gingerbread 2.3.

It creates a hardware environment which has a limited capacity of 363 MB for apps and around 262 MB of storage card space. The software is available for free presently and you can easily download and install it. After installing it you'll see an icon in the system tray area. Clicking on it, you'll see a list of the apps preloaded in it. You can install the other apps from the BlueStack website with signing in there with your Facebook account.

For installing more apps, go to the BlueStack widget and click on 'Get more apps'. A page will be opened where after entering your details you can click on 'Subscribe'. The 'Cloud Connect' link on the same page will provide a 9-pin numeric code which you'll have to enter in the android phone running the BlueStack cloud connect app(Can be downloaded from the android app store for free). After that you can simply sinc your phone and PC and enjoy the android apps on your computer.

Note- A few apps might not work on it due to incompatibility of the hardware.

Blocking a website on your computer

Blocking a specific website on your computer without using a software has been a matter of interest for many people. This trick can be very helpful in blocking any number of websites and the websites blocked wouldn't open from any browser.

We simply need to edit the host file of the computer for this. The IP address used is 127.0.0.1(localhost). With this, whenever somebody tries to open that website he will be redirected to the local host.

You need administrative privileges for this.

How to-

Go to my computer.
Open operating system drive(usually C drive).
Go to Windows->system32->drivers->etc.
Open the host file here with notepad.
Now in the last line add the address of the website to be blocked keeping 127.0.0.1 as the prefix.

For example, in the screenshot below, the website blocked is google-analytics.com

Don't forget to insert the URL of the website with and without www as shown.

Now save the file.

And you are done with blocking it.

Using keyboard LED's as disco lights

This is a funny trick to amuse your friends. It doesn't require any programming and will make you keyboard LED's blink as if they are disco lights. The method require VB scripts and the lights will keep blinking unless you stop them. This really looks awesome in dark.

Use your keyboard LED's to show network activity

Almost all the modern keyboard's consists of 3 LED's for Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll lock.
But they hardly do anything, so to use them for a networking activity(LED's will blink whenever you send or receive any data using internet), you can follow a simple procedure.

It needs a very small freeware utility called Network Lights, of merely 75 Kb's in size and doesn't even require an installation.

How to go about it-

Download Networking lights.
Open the zip file and click on Networkinglights.exe.
It will minimize to your taskbar and from now on these LED's will show networking activity.
To exit from it simply right click on the taskbar icon and click on exit.

Sending password protected emails

At times you have to send somebody confidential information like credit card number, bank details etc. Then sending those details without any encryption or password is not safe. Hackers can easily intercept your emails using sniffers or by hacking your e-mail account.

To protect those details, you can use Lockbin which provides password protection and AES-256 bit encryption to your mails.

How to send password protected mails using Lockbin-

Click here to go to the Lockbin service.
Fill in your form with your desired password.
In that message you can even attach files.
After this, Click on 'submit' button.
Now the password protected e-mail will be sent and your reader will only get a link to your encrypted mail.
When that link is clicked, user will be prompted to enter the password without which it will not open.

This way you can protect your confidential details from hackers.

Folder lock without any software

This trick enables the user to put a lock on a folder and hide it without any software.
For that you need to follow these simple steps-

Paste the code that is given below in a notepad and save that as a batch file( Extension- '.bat')
Any name could be given to that file.
Now a batch file would be formed, double click on it and a new folder with a name 'Locker' would be formed at the same location.
Now bring all the files you want to hide to this folder.
Double click the batch file and type 'y' and press enter to lock the folder.
If you want to open the folder, double click the batch file again and type anything and press enter, your folder will be visible again.
And to lock it back follow the 5th step.

With the devastating effects that were caused due to the first world war, there was a lot of hatred and mistrust which could have led to another battle at that time. Hence,there was a need for friendship among countries as well as individuals.

So from that day, US congress decided to celebrate the first sunday of every august as friendship's day. The first to be celebrated was way back in 1935. And soon this day became highly popular among youngsters and people started celebrating it every year.

Soon this beautiful idea was caught by other countries too and this day was then celebrated all over the world. And soon it became international friendship's day.

It was in 1997 that United Nations declared Winnie-the Pooh as the ambassador of friendship.

Now a days this festival is celebrated with people exchanging gifts,flowers and friendship bands as a token of friendship.

2. 75 CL. – 150 ML , WHICH IS THE STANDARD SIZE OF A WINE BOTTLE.

3. 11% VOL. - PERCENTAGE OF ALCOHOL BY VOLUME.

4. L. 69 B 30 - LOT NUMBER.

5. "MIS EN BOUTEILLE AU CHÂTEAU" - MEANS THAT IT IS BOTTLED ON THE CHATEAU ITSELF.

6. COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.

7. CHÂTEAU BEAUSOLEIL - THE CHÂTEAU NAME. EITHER THE REGIONAL APPELLATION OR A BRAND NAME WILL BE USED IF NOT A CHATEAU WINE.

8. 1990- YEAR IN WHICH THE GRAPES USED WERE PRODUCED.

9. GRAND VIN DE BORDEAUX - "GRAND VIN" FOLLOWED BY THE APPELLATION, MOST OFTEN SIMPLY "GRAND VIN DE BORDEAUX."MEANING, IF YOU'RE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE DRINKING ONE OF THESE. I ENVY YOU.

Counter strike, popularly knows as "CS", is a tactical first person shooter game.
It was deleveloped by Valve corporation and was released on 1st november 2001.
Counter strike has a very simple yet unique gameplay ,
counter strike has very simple graphics still the game is considered amongst the most addictive games till yet.
In this a player joins either the TERRORIST or COUNTER TERRORIST team.
the game has two types of maps,

1: The counter terrorist have to prevent the sites from
the explosion of the bomb planted by the terrrorist team by eliminating the
terrorist before they plant the bomb or by defusing the bomb before it
explodes

2: The counter terrorist have to rescue a certain number of hostages from
the terrorist and get the hostages safely to the evacuation place.

The players are generally given a few seconds to buy wepons and equipments
before the round starts,which is known as "freezetime". During these few
seconds, all the players cannot move /walk.
All the players are provided with a fixed amount of money to buy guns and equipments
The players earn money by killing an enemy,winning a round,loosing a round,planting(as terrorist),
defusing(as counter terrorists) the bomb.
After the end of a round ,the players who survived retain their guns and equipments
The scores are displays the team scores and statistics for each player (name ,kills , deaths , latency)
the scoreboard also indicates whether a player is dead/alive or carrying the bomb

The game counter strike is played at professional levels, it is a part of the

"Aim" is one of the most important part of the game. To improve aim, many players

Maruti Suzuki Swift has been there on roads for quit a long time now and customers seem to be highly satisfied with the performance of this car. Even Maruti has been working really hard to provide customers with the best.

The news about the launch of the new Swift was there a long time back and the car is finally getting launched in the month of october.
