In this post we will discuss about how studying Engineering in Germany is like, how the admissions are done, the fee structure and most importantly the jobs after completing the graduation.

Why study Engineering in Germany?

There are many reasons to study engineering in Germany.

1. Practical Training - You can say it is one of the major reasons why the German engineers are in high demand. German engineering colleges focus on intensive practical training which makes the students very skilled in their work and besides increases their depth of knowledge. Their intensive practical based approach make the students slightly better than that of theory-based one.

2. Investment in this sector - Germany spends 2.8% of its GDP in the research and development of its engineering field and the IT sector. This huge investment as a result improves the overall performance of the colleges and universities.

3. Subsidy in education - Most of the engineering as well as other institutes are subsidized, funded by the states. This impacts the student in a positive way as the burden of educational loans are not generally there. So it is easy of pursue B.TECH from Germany compared to most other countries in the world.

Entry Requirements:

13 Years of formal education and minimum 67% in senior secondary diplomas
English Proficiency Test i.e IELTS or TOEFL
one have to clear the ‘feststellungspruefung’ - entrance exam for various universities one has to take to signify effective completion of a preparatory course of studienkolleg.

In-take season:

The In-take season are twice a year, winter and summer for 2 different semesters. The time is almost same for most of the university and colleges.

Application Process:

First find the course and check if you are eligible in all conditions.

If yes then you can apply in the international website of the university.

You can get your German student VISA then.

There is also a centralized admission portal for the international students operated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). But you should prefer the website of the universities as it increases the chance of getting a seat.

Cost of studying:

As I've told before the cost of studying engineering in Germany is quite affordable as most of them are state funded. Most universities in Germany don't charge any tuition fees. They only charge semester fees which is approximately 200 Euros. On the other hand the cost of living in Germany is also not too much. The average cost of student living is around 8000-9000 Euros / year.

What about career opportunities after completing the B.Tech?

Well, it is really good, or you can say it is great. Most of the students get a decent job and some get their dream jobs also. One after completing his/her mechanical engineering course can be a pure mechanical engineer, power engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Global manufacturing specialist, and many more.

After completing Computer science degree one can be a Software Developer, IT support engineer, IT analyst, Database Administrator, Network Analyst and many more. There is also vast scope for any other engineering discipline.

What is Chemical Engineering?

Chemical Engineering is a broad Engineering trade that deals with changing/ processing/ transforming raw materials, chemicals, nano-materials to useful forms and products. They have to focus on resources management, environment protection protocols, health, and safety of own and others.

What do I have to study for Chemical Engineering as a degree?

For getting a Chemical Engineering degree You have to study Bachelors of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech.), and then if you want to gain more knowledge you can study Masters degree. Some colleges also offer a combined course of 5 years for both Bachelor's degree and Master's degree.

Chemical engineering is an engineering discipline that requires and uses knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, physics, and biology. Their engineering course will contain classrooms, laboratories and on-field studies.

The core curriculum includes subjects like Inorganic Chemical Technology, Process calculation, Environmental science and engineering, Organic chemical technology, Physical chemistry, Chemical engineering thermodynamics, Biochemical engineering, Particulate Science and technology, etc. and various labs.

Some colleges and universities also provide some cooperative programs in which students can gain practical knowledge while completing their regular courses.

One thing you have to remember that Chemical Engineering doesn't fully centralized on Chemistry, so if you choose Chemical Engineering because you are a chemistry lover, it'll be a mistake.

Chemical engineers' duties

Chemical engineers generally do the following

Researching to develop efficient and better manufacturing processes.
Exploring ways and procedures for working with potentially dangerous materials (eg.- Chemicals).
Researching and testing the production performance and product quality.
Troubleshooting problems in the manufacturing process.
Estimating production and manufacturing cost.

Some chemical engineering jobs are involved in the Clothing, Food producing field. Some work in the research field in Life sciences, Biotechnology also.

Is chemical Engineering Hard?

Well, it is a question that can't be answered. One thing that I can say surely that it is a challenging field of engineering, you have to study lots of physics, chemistry and mathematics.

It depends on the interest and the passion of the student. If you are dedicated and fully committed to the study you'll definitely succeed.

Skills one should develop

Chemical engineers, as well as any other type of engineer, should develop some skills to shine in their careers. Here I'll discuss some skills and interest Chemical engineers should have and should have to develop.

Chemical engineers should have Analytical skills so that they can figure out disputes of any particular design and find the best ways that work.
One should have good math skills because they have to determine many things related to manufacturing and designing, besides they have to troubleshoot many problems by the skills.
Chemical engineers should have productivity so that they can invent new manufacturing techniques, new applications of old things, etc.
They should have problem-solving skills because they have to work in such fields(that will be discussed next) that requires solving several problems at a time.

Efficient use of raw materials to produce usable material
Waste Management
Pollution Control
"Minimize cost and maximize safety and productibility"

Jobs opportunities

Chemical engineering can be considered to provide a flexible engineering job because it is a very flexible engineering discipline. Chemical engineers can get jobs in the field like production engineering, Nuclear engineering, Biological engineering, etc.

But one has to remember that employers value practical experiences besides a degree. Only studying without practically doing and later saying "Engineering is oversaturated" is not a good thing.

Well before choosing any engineering field as a career option we think about what the work environment would be.

The work environment of chemical engineers is located on mostly Laboratories and Offices. Some also have to travel a lot for examining purposes.

UI design and UX design are commonly heard in web and app development. For many peoples it is quite confusing because the two terms are often placed together, UI/UX design, and viewed from the surface they seem to be describing the same thing . What is UI design ?

UI Design stands for User Interface Design. UI design is the designing of user interfaces for electronic machines, software etc. It consist the buttons users click on, the text they read, the images, text entry fields, and all the rest of the items the user interacts with. UI designers or graphic designers choose the color schemes, buttons, text-fonts, animations, icons, spacing, typography, interactivity of any applications or websites etc. So you can understand user interface design is a purely digital practice.

The goal of UI design is to create a general good impression of any thing on the visitor.
UI designers work on the design patterns of the app and websites. They look up the micro details of the products.
UI designers think very much about how to make a website or any app delightful and enjoyable to use.
For an example a UI designer decides how any button will look and places it where it is easily accessible in front of the user.

What is UX design ?

UX stands for "User Experience". Don Norman, a cognitive scientist and co-founder of the Nielsen Norman Group Design Consultancy, is credited with coining the term “user experience” in the late 1990s. A user's experience is determined by how easily or difficultly a user interacts with user interface elements in any web or app. UX design is not about visuals; it focuses on the overall feel of the experience.

UX designers tend to focus on creating a thing that solves the problem.
UX designers think extensively about how best to make a website or an app easy to use.
For an example a UX designer decides where the CTA(Call to action) should be on the app or website.

The main differences between UX and UI

UI is the saddle, the stirrups, and the reins. UX is the feeling you get being able to ride the horse.

UX design provides wireframes, it contains layout and features. On the other side UI design translates wire frames into an actual interface.

It is considered as a method by which we make the computers think like humans.

AI is a sub-field of computer science that focuses on creating intelligent machines. The term “artificial intelligence” is used for any computing system that can think for itself and make smart decisions. It can derive insights from data, find things in data that humans cannot.

What is Artificial Intelligence ?

If we talk about the definitions of AI we have to understand that it has not any particular definitions. AI is something that has not been discovered yet. The characteristics includes Machine Learning, Data Science, deep learning. It is very useful in predictive analytics. Depending on the data acquired in the past, predictive analytics allows for an educated guess of the future.

History

Artificial intelligence has a varied history. Thought-capable artificial beings have been common in fiction, as in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein or Karel Capek's R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots).

However, it wasn’t until the mid-20th century when the scientists, such as Alan Turing laid the groundwork for modern AI.

The history of AI saw many periods of hopefulness as well as a period of reduced interest and funding. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, both the US and UK saw great enthusiasm in the AI space.

The Artificial intelligence came after machine intelligence slowly began to gain popularity in the early 1980s. The market seemed to be building, but it quickly lapsed back in 1987 after a Lisp Machine, a company making AI machines, collapsed.

By the rise of the new century, it was making its way up again, driven by advancements in computing. AI was adopted in fields, such as data mining, logistics, data organization, and more in 90s.

Soon after, Artificial intelligence began beating humans at their own games. In 1997, IBM’s Deep Blue supercomputer beat chess champion, Garry Kasparov.

Today, most AI algorithms are reaching the state of human equality, which means that they can carry out a task with human-like intelligence. They are also present in everyday interactions on the Internet.

Advantages

At some point AI algorithms are very efficient and as just accurate as humans. they can conduct low-level tasks, such as data entry or customer service, with great efficiency at a lower cost. In addition to offering better efficiency, well-trained AI algorithms also do not make mistakes.

Technologies like smart automation make possible to augment the effectiveness of human intelligence with AI.

One example of this is Google; the easy availability and reliability of the artificial intelligence allow humans to get the right answer to a question almost all of the time.

Applications - Examples of artificial intelligence

Modern AI applications are too numerous to describe here. Frequently, when a technique reaches mainstream use, it is no longer considered artificial intelligence, and is described as the AI effect.

AI is often used in Health care for classification of high risks or low risk patients and give dosages accordingly. AI assists doctors when multiple curing methods are available but most effective one is under confusion. Microsoft is working on a project to develop a machine called "Hanover” whose goal is to memorize all the papers necessary to cancer and help predict which combinations of drugs will be most effective for each patient.
It is very much used in self-controlled devices now. AI has contributed to the growth of the automotive industry through the creation and evolution of self-driving vehicles. As of 2016, there are over 30 companies utilizing AI into the creation of self-driving cars. A few companies involved with it include Tesla, Google, and Apple.
Artificial intelligence and Natural Language Processing has begun to be used by security companies - for example SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions. The more advanced of these solutions use AI and NLP to automatically sort the data in networks into high risk and low risk information.
AI is very much used by government purposes nowadays. The tech city of Bangalore in India is set to deploy AI managed traffic signal systems across the 387 traffic signals in the city. This system will use cameras to ascertain traffic density and accordingly calculate the time needed to clear the traffic volume which will determine the signal duration for vehicular traffic across streets.
It is very much used in amusements. Video-games AI is used to generate dynamic purposeful behavior.

There are lots more applications of AI in 2020. Few are discussed here.

Future of artificial intelligence

When asked about the future of AI, Lars Selsas, CEO and Co-Founder, Boost.ai, says, ”The future of AI is exciting. We can expect to see conversational AI move away from its current informational phase and become more transactional. That means virtual agents that can complete complex tasks on behalf of customers that would regularly require human assistance. This will be a game-changer for large financial institutions like banks and insurance companies. Offering customers an unprecedented level of self-service through AI that is not only fast but also reliable will usher in a new era of customer service.”
Many countries are using AI for automating many things. Many companies like Google, Facebook, Apple use AI ecosystem. AI is at the core of how most of their products function, with hardware being an important part of the next Industrial Revolution.

Is engineering a dying field in 2020 | is engineering oversaturated in 2020 | Engineers'blog

"Is engineering a dying field ?" I discussed about the reasons In my previous post on the topic to say so , is engineering really a dying field ?, why many engineering students of India do not get any job after completing their course in any Engineering field. In this 2nd part I will discuss about the solutions regarding this matter - is engineering dying .
The solutions as well as the reasons has two sides , one from the student and other from the Education system.

Solutions for this problem

1. Follow passion not placement :

You should follow your passion more than any thing. This is the first law to become a successful engineer. Nowadays one falls for the engineering placements and when faces the actual 'have to study' syllabus, gives up initially and those who continue just passing the semesters but not excelling the topics have not the least knowledge to be a good engineer. So stop following the rat race and commenting bad about the engineering field, rather follow your passion.

2. Make things practical:

If one is passionate about Engineering & studies all the topics as well but didn't do very good in the placements, then the reasons for this is not making the things practical. We all know very well that engineering a practical thing. So one engineering student should make everything practical(to the possible extent) from one's student-life. It is very important from my point of view. so why I put it as 2nd most important solution.

3. Stay updated:

Nowadays engineers should stay updated about the new things basing their engineering field. After the basic concepts, advanced studies and practical thing start. In 2020 engineering field has been very dynamic. Everyday new things are added by engineering innovation. So It will be very good for one to stay updated.

4. Choose correct engineering field for you:

One should choose suitable engineering field for him.There are many fields in engineering where the competition is low but opportunities are high. This engineering fields are not exposed to most of the students. So if one's goal is to be an engineer but one didn't choose the field then he/she should find the most suitable field.
as an example for a computer lover the most suitable engineering branch will be Computer engineering.

5. From my point of view the study curriculum should be changed or modified for the best output. Many students as well as teachers express their grievance on the study curriculum. Some where is so outdated that the students can not understand many things that should be added in the course.

There may be many other solutions which are not listed above. Comment you opinions if you have any.

Conclusion

Engineering is an ever-growing field. The number students graduating every year may be continuously increasing but the engineering field itself can never die because we can't function without engineering in our daily life be in the form of daily used products, designings, constructions to the vast communication system or commutation.You can't blame an engineering entire field. because without engineers technology is nothing and without technology we are nothing nowadays. From my point of view the answer for is engineering dying will be no. Engineering is a field of study that can't die. In recent days we can say that that it is age of engineering. For example Engineers from Aerospace engineering branch are very very needed in recent days as many type researches are nothing without them. Engineers from Computer science engineering make our life a easy living.

Is engineering a dying field in 2020 | is engineering oversaturated in 2020 | Engineers'blog

It has been many years to be told by some peoples that engineering in India doesn’t worth nowadays, engineering is dying, the scope for government jobs for any engineer is very low, specifically for IT field it is almost zero. As an engineering student I have listened these types of comments before so many times. In this article I will tell you my opinions why people tell so and what the truth really is, and if it is true what the reasons are responsible for that and many more.

Recent studies on engineering:

1.As per recent studies, 20-30% out of the 15 lakhs engineering graduates passing out every year face the risk of not getting a job at all. For those who do, the entry-level salary is pathetically low. CP Gurnani, CEO & MD of Tech MahindraNSE -0.86 %, has said that 94% of engineering graduated were not fit for hiring. "The top 10 IT companies take only 6% of the engineering graduates. What happens to the remaining 94%?" he said in an interview to TOI .

2.When we compare any engineer salary in India with that of in America we have to remember that around 15 lakhs engineers pass out from India while just 95,000 from America.

3.In academic year 2019-2020 a number of 78 institutes are in the list of AICTE Approved Progressive Closed Institutes. In the academic year 2018-2019 the number was 54.
So now the question is why the huge number of engineers is not getting jobs.

Well, we can see it from different perspectives. One from the perspective from a engineer student who did very well in his 4 crucial years of engineering and one from that of a student who did not.

The reasons:

1. Lack of self-innovation: Engineering education in India has curriculum which does not invoke innovation from students unless the individual is self driven and wants to do innovative work from his own mentality. Once I have read somewhere that many colleges just teach 'history of engineering' from the books that they have learned from. We all know about engineering that it focuses on the idea of innovation, practical applications of the theories & facts of science you learn. Some students don’t even learn the basic concepts of their respective trade. How can such students even think of jobs ?

2. Improper guidance: After 10th exams many of the students decide to study science stream and then to be engineer after 12th. Most probably the eye catchy packages of IITs drive them to this way. No one dreams below this. But very few of them can crack entrance exam to get into the IITs. A huge number of students could not get into IITs. One has to remember that engineering is not just about packages.

3. Institutes without approvals: Since engineering in India earlier was said to be very promising career, many businessmen started their business in this educational field, started their engineering course without proper curriculum and approvals. Those who were able to catch aspiring candidates carried on their works. They were not able to give proper placements but the desire to be engineers doesn’t resist the students to get admissions. But AICTE closed the institutes later. The students who were earlier admitted as well faced the issue of no recruiters as well.

4. Low vacancy: Let’s talk about a general case. Once students get into any company the vacancy decreases but same number of vacancy is not increased in return. Some state companies reduced their vacancy as well. Our government is not creating enough opportunities for students so that they can work for their own country. They are compelled to leave the country.

5. According to some the syllabus of some trades of engineering are quite outdated. In engineering we have to be updated about all the recent researches going on. Especially in the IT field you have to be fully updated about the new software being developed all around the world etc.On the other hand some areas of engineering needs expertise more than one gets from Bachelors’ degree.

6. There are many other engineering branches which do not have such level of competition and good jobs are on offer. The only thing preventing people to opt for these courses is lack of exposure.

7. Institution matters: One of main reasons to consider here is that we have to remember that for specifically jobs the Institution from where you graduated really matters. It is very clear that you will not get packages like IITs in a state college. But if one truly aspires to be a good engineer nothing can stop him/her.

There are lots of engineering branches available nowadays. Some of them became very popular and started giving good placements as well. Electronic engineering (also called electronics and communications engineering) is one of them. Today we’ll discuss about this branch of engineering, good colleges, subjects to study, job profiles-salary etc.

What is Electronic Engineering

Electronic engineering is a discipline of Electrical engineering. In this program students will learn about mainly the functionality and manufacturing of various electronic components from the smallest internal chip of cell-phones to the largest components of power-grids, of aero planes or of various auto-mobiles.

Sub-fields:

1. Signal processing:

Signal processing is an electrical (or electronic) engineering subfield .It deals with analysing, modifying and synthesizing signals.

2. Telecommunications engineering:

This branch of Engineering seeks to support and enhance telecommunication systems. The work ranges from basic circuit design to strategic mass developments.

3. Electromagnetics:

This course deals with electromagnetic phenomena in modern applications, including wireless and optical communications, circuits, computer interconnects, microwave communications and radar, antennas, sensors, micro-electromechanical systems, and power generation and transmission.

4. Control engineering:

Control engineering is an engineering branch that applies automatic control theory to design systems with desired behaviors in control environments. Sometimes it is taught along with electrical engineering at many institutions around the world.

5. Instrumentation engineering:

It is the branch of engineering that mainly deals with the production of measuring instruments that are used for indicating, measuring different physical quantities. But this branch is quite domain(Working area or profile) dependent.

6. VLSI engineering:

Very large-scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating an integrated circuit (IC) by combining millions of MOS transistors onto a single chip.

How to study Electronic engineering in India:

In India there are many colleges that offer Bachelors degree (B.Tech.) in Electronics and communication engineering. To avail this course the students are must required to qualify any of the 2 conditions.
1. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum qualifying marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Independent entrance tests (JEE mains & advanced, WBJEE etc.) are also held by the various state, central, and private universities.
2. Diploma holder or graduates must have passed the lateral entry tests conducted by various state (e.g. - JELET for West Bengal).

So the question is which is the best "programming language" to learn. Before beginning what I need to mention is you can not learn a programming language thinking it a piece of cake, you have to put your efforts, your problem-solving skills and valuable time to learn a single programming language, so don't try to learn them all and ultimately find yourself messing it up.

If you're a hard-worker (and smart-worker obvious as your target is to be a programmer), you're at the proper place.

I've searched and reviewed many software industries details, top-ranking programming languages websites and the demand of the languages now; and made a listing of 5 most demanding programming languages in 2020.

And the bonus is I'll also mention the name of software industries and other Companies which use the following programming languages. So it's time to get into the topic. Let's start.

Well, it's a subject which makes anyone being puzzled, what is the difference between computer science and computer engineering . to work it out we've to understand initially what computing science and Computer engineering actually are.

Computer science and computer engineering have plenty of similar characteristics as both are centralized the COMPUTER. But the major differences between computer engineering and computer science is the way one gains and applies the knowledge.

What is Computing Science?
