Yes, it has been a while.

But time really has no qualms of love and loss.
We must instead rejoice that we are once again united in love and connection.

It is as always a privilege to express and share my inner heart and world.
I hope this post finds you well and still "Creating the Love" in your life.
It is a long and hard road at times and we dont always shine.

But remember in order to shine we must at first be opaque till we fill our tapestries with lifes adventures, lessons, hurt and triumphs.

We are a never ending course of learning and loving.

Precious ... oh so precious. Before you know it we are gone ... like a leaf in the wind ......

Dear Mother Earth - I Love You

Hello Everyone,

I found and re-read this letter sent by Chief Seattle to President Franklin Pierce in 1854. After I read it I could not believe how much his letter affected me as a person.

This letter is truly the essence of who we are as a human being and the essence of the beauty of our home, Mother Earth.

It is a great reminder of what we have forgotten along the way.

Here is the letter for you to also read and be nourished by:

“How can you buy or sell the sky, the warmth of the land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air and the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them?

Every part of this earth is sacred to my people.

Every shining pine needle, every sandy shore, every mist in the dark woods, every clearing and humming insect is holy in the memory and experience of my people. The sap which courses through the trees carries the memories of the red man.

The white man’s dead forget the country of their birth when they go to walk among the stars. Our dead never forget this beautiful earth, for it is the mother of the red man. We are part of the earth and it is a part of us.

The perfumed flowers are our sisters; the deer, the horse, the great eagle, these are our brothers.

The rocky crests, the juices in the meadows, the body heat of the pony, and man–all belong to the same family.

So, when the Great Chief in Washington sends word that he wishes to buy our land, he asks much of us.

The Great Chief sends word he will reserve us a place so that we can live comfortably to ourselves.

He will be our father and we will be his children. So we will consider your offer to buy our land. But it will not be easy. For this land is sacred to us.

This shining water that moves in the streams and rivers is not just water but the blood of our ancestors.

If we sell you land, you must remember that it is sacred, and you must teach your children that it is sacred and that each ghostly reflection in the clear water of the lake tells of events and memories in the life of my people.

The water’s murmur is the voice of my father’s father.

The rivers are our brothers, they quench our thirst. The rivers carry our canoes, and feed our children.

If we sell you our land, you must remember, and teach your children that the rivers are our brothers, and yours, and you must henceforth give the rivers the kindness you would give any brother.

We know that the white man does not understand our ways. One portion of land is the same to him as the next, for he is a stranger who comes in the night and takes from the land whatever he needs.

The earth is not his brother but his enemy, and when he has conquered it, he moves on. He leaves his fathers’ graves and his children’s birthright is forgotten.

He treats his mother, the earth, and his brother, the sky, as things to be bought, plundered, sold like sheep or bright beads. His appetite will devour the earth and leave behind only a desert.

I do not know. Our ways are different from your ways. The sight of your cities pains the eyes of the red man. But perhaps it is because the red man is a savage and does not understand.

There is no quiet place in the white man’s cities. No place to hear the unfurling of leaves in spring, or the rustle of an insect’s wings. But perhaps it is because I am a savage and do not understand.

The clatter only seems to insult the ears.

And what is there to life if a man cannot hear the lonely cry of the whippoorwill or the arguments of the frogs around a pond at night?

I am a red man and do not understand.

The Indian prefers the soft sound of the wind darting over the face of a pond, and the smell of the wind itself, cleansed by rain or scented with the pine cone.

The air is precious to the red man, for all things share the same breath: the beast, the tree, the man, they all share the same breath.

The white men, they all share the same breath. The white man does not seem to notice the air he breathes. Like a man dying for many days, he is numb to the stench.

But if we sell you our land, you must remember that the air is precious to us, that the air gave our grandfather his first breath also received his last sigh.

And if we sell you our land, you must keep it apart and sacred, as a place where even the white man can go to taste the wind that is sweetened by the meadow’s flowers.

So we will consider your offer to buy our land. If we decide to accept I will make one condition. The white man must treat the beasts of this land as his brothers.

I am savage and I do not understand any other way. I have seen a thousand rotting buffaloes on the prairie, left by the white man who shot them from a passing train.

I am a savage and I do not understand how the smoking iron horse can be more im- portant than the buffalo that we kill only to stay alive.

What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected.

You must teach your children that the ground beneath their feet is the ashes of our grandfathers. So that they will respect the land, tell your children that the earth is rich with the lives of our kin.

Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the earth is our mother.

Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

Even the white man, whose God walks and talks with him as friend to friend, cannot be exempt from the common destiny. We may be brothers after all. We shall see. One thing we know, which the white man may one day discover:-

- Our God is the same God -

You may think now that you own Him as you wish to own our land; but you cannot. He is the God of man and his compassion is equal for the red man and the white.

The earth is precious to him, and to harm the earth is to heap contempt upon its Creator.

The Whites, too, shall pass; perhaps sooner than all other tribes. Contaminate your bed and you will one night suffocate in your own waste.

But in your perishing, you will shine brightly, fired by the strength of the God who brought you to this land and for some special purpose gave you dominion over this land and over the red man.

That destiny is a mystery to us, for we do not understand when the buffalo are all slaughtered, the wild horses are tamed, the secret corners of the forest heavy with the scent of many men, and the view of the ripe hills blotted out by talking wires.

When a ripple of love finds its way to you, it is because you sent it out in the first place and now it has returned to you.

Always accept love with your arms wide open, hold it and nurture it, until it is your time to pass it along and share it once more.

We are never sure where the source of love will come from or perhaps sometimes where it will be received. Knowing this, never be saddened if your love is not returned from a particular person, or situation, as you will find it will be returned to you from another source.

When you do receive a precious ripple of love accept it, nurture it, heal with it, find inner joy with it, strengthen with it and wear it as an armour of courage and know you are not alone.

The best ripple of love is to give to yourself, nourish YOU, be kind and gracious with yourself. Once you are fulfilled, you are a beautiful light of love radiating outwards to gift others.

You become a blessing not only to yourself, but to others, not only human lives, animals and of course mother nature.

Each precious footprint, each tear, each smile, touches another in some way. In each of these precious moments there is a beautiful realization of the preciousness each of these represent.

Remember there is never a wrong or right moment, we are here to learn, to experience, to love, to share and GROW.

The ripples of love you receive are also apart of your interaction with your beautiful self, and the giving of your self. See how truly wondrous you are! Invite love into your heart today and instantly light up your life with joy and magnificence!

Visualize The Key To Set You Free

I wonder how many people would really participate in setting themselves free? If today right this minute you were handed a key to free all the self imposed chains that you have placed upon yourself?

What? I hear you asking! Well, we are all to some degree self imposed prisoners of life and our beliefs. We place barriers and limits on ourselves every single day.

If you were to able to see these invisible chains such as; self doubt, hatred, endlessly following media trends, media brainwashing (how to look, feel, and live YOUR life), comparing yourself to others, fear, guilt, self loathing, and trying to accumulate the multi billion $$$$ dream.

These are just a few of the many chains that we can place on ourselves and I'm sure you know the chains that you particularly place on yourself day to day. Perhaps today if you have a little spare time, write down your personal chains. You may be surprised by what you are dragging around with you.

Now back to the first sentence in this article. If you were given the key, today, right now, would you unlock and unburden your SELF from these unnecessary weights you place within your one lifetime?

Would you like to feel that freedom? Your raw SELF? You, without guilt, without the pressures of these chains. Perhaps it is time to let go and feel and trust your real SELF.

I am guilty of this myself, and I suspect that some people wouldn't be able to unlock all their chains. It becomes a way of life.

Today, try like me to visualize each negative trait that you carry as a chain around yourself. Now visualize you have been given the key, each time you feel a chain burdening your moment. Use your key to unlock the chain and FREE yourself and live in your NOW, as the past has gone, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet, only right NOW matters.

Imagine the possibilities that the real 'You' is capable of, once free to experience your SELF without the weight of these chains.

Note to self: The past has gone, like a puff of smoke it has disappeared!

Finally the realization settles in that you are free!

No more wasting precious time, beating yourself up, going over and over the same mini movies in your mind, the what if's and if only's.

You are now the centre of your own universe!! Capable of creating anything you wish, in your right now.

How spectacular this moment is, how spectacular you are in this inner freedom, how spectacular opportunities seem, when the path is clear and your mind uncluttered.

Be inspiring and inspire others by showing the people around you the precious gift you are.
Be aware of the endless positive choices, you can make right now. There is no waiting to delay these steps, change can happen right now in this very moment.

You are the master of your own destiny.

Open your heart to new experiences and G R O W. Open your eyes to open to all the beauty that you haven't noticed around and within you. Open your communication to express this new found freedom, boundaries and inner self. Balancing this out by really listening to those around you as well. Listening to their gifts and enjoying these new experiences.

Become a mighty explorer within your own life! What have you always aspired to do, seek, visit, learn, envision?

Start your exploration without fear and reservation; believe that 'you can'! Enjoy your experiences, no matter how hard the climb! The climb is usually the most rewarding through all adversities.

Be your genuine SELF, we are not here to compare, envy, or berate others; we are all a unique, individual gift in our lifetime. Believe in your SELF.. Love your SELF .. Take care of your SELF .. Be your SELF ..

Rejoice in the amazing individual that YOU are!

Don’t believe everything you hear, see and read, there are always outside agenda’s trying to influence you away from your SELF. Stay strong!

Remember true happiness is only achieved from within. Seeking outside of your SELF, for pleasures to fill emptiness, will never truly fill the hole of unhappiness a person feels.

Instead, start filling this hole with self nourishment, self love, and self fulfilment and feel true happiness radiating from within you. Creating inner love, peace, joy and harmony.

Remember to .. S H I N E. When you are shining outwards, extending your inner glow, you are contagious to everyone around you.

The most priceless accessory that you can ever wear is a SMILE. The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling, and even more beautiful is knowing that you are the reason behind it!

Living in your right NOW, makes life so much easier, it peels away all the unnecessary baggage from the past and promotes a lighter and brighter being in you.

Creating a wondrous sense of self, with more confidence, a better mind set, the freedom to be in charge of your own destiny, and the knowing that perfection isn't purchased or practised. Perfection is already in your now.

Most of all enjoy your SELF.

~ The Pastor, The Donkey and The Bishop ~

This is a funny little story, that has a great message at the end. I hope you are ready for a giggle!

The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won.

The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.

The local paper read: PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT.

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.

The next day, the Local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey.

The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent.

The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.

The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10.

The next day the Paper read: NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild.

The next day the headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.

The bishop was buried the next day....

Morale of the story:

Being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery... and even shorten your life.
So be yourself and enjoy life... you'll be a lot happier and live longer!

COMPASSION - isnt an OPTION - it is a MUST

I want to discuss compassion in this article, as I am very disappointed in what I witnessed today and I feel as though I let a fellow human being down.

I returned to my car in an underground car park this afternoon, the car next to mine pulled out and I noticed a lady squatting down against the brick wall. At first I thought she was relieving her bladder. So I directed my son's to quickly get inside our car.

Then I noticed as I open my car door that she had a silver wine bladder next to her feet. This changed my mind in ignoring her, as I now realized that she was intoxicated and alone, without underwear on in an underground car park.
I thought my best option was to quickly walk back upstairs and seek to get some help from the centre management. We arrived at the help desk at the supermarket and I politely asked where I could find centre management. The answer was, there was no centre management at this particular complex. So the lady at the help desk advised me that she would notify the store manager and see if he could do anything.

I decided I had better go back and stay with the lady of concern. I returned to where my car was and she had gone. After a quick search, we found her not too far away and in a crawling position. I asked her if I could help her in anyway, or assist her by giving her a lift somewhere. She insisted that she was okay and to just leave her alone. I said, "I couldn't leave her on her own until help arrived". She kept on insisting I leave her, and I persisted in staying with her.

As I stayed with her I noticed she was dressed immaculately and her hair was also groomed to perfection, I wondered what on earth had led her to this state and felt so much compassion for her, so connected to her.

The Store Manager and a Security Guard, finally arrived. The security guard said, "Get up and move along or I will call the Police", the lady replied, "I will move along, I'm okay, please just leave me alone".

Obviously the lady could only crawl around on her hands and knees and had no real sense of where she was or what was happening. So the security guard said, "Listen lady you are a public nuisance and I'm calling the Police". With this both the manager and the security guard burst into laughter and the security guard snickered, "What an idiot". (Heartbreaking stuff). The security guard called the Police and then told myself and my son's to move along, as the Police were on their way to pick her up and we were not needed anymore.

I thought at least she will be in a safer situation with the Police, so we walked away. Then I suddenly had a niggling feeling that I should walk back around one more time and make sure that she wasn't left alone till the Police arrived.

When I walked back to the spot, she was gone and the two men were walking towards a lift without the lady,of concern. I knew the Police hadn't arrived. So where had she gone? I walked around again and my two son's helped also to try and locate her once again.

We were just about to give up when the security guard pulled up next to me in his car and said that she was okay and sitting around the corner. I asked him if anyone was with her and he said 'no'. I said, "What about duty of care, for someone that isn't capable of caring for themselves"? He shrugged his shoulders and said. "Not my problem lady". I said, "What if she was your sister or your mother, wouldn't you want someone to care for them if they needed assistance"? He just laughed and drove off.

By now, I felt heartbroken about trying to get her assistance from these people. They just simply didn't care. This lady, could hardly walk, was intoxicated, had no purse, and no underwear on. She was exposed and vulnerable to physical, sexual and verbal assault.

So once again we looked for her in the direction that the security guard pointed to, we couldn't see her anywhere. We walked around the block twice and noticed a Police car also going around and around the block also looking for her. My heart sank as I realized if the Police couldn't find her she had slipped away out of sight and was still vulnerable.

We looked for around an hour and couldn't find her anywhere, so the only thing I could do now was to pray that she would be protected and somehow find her way to safety.

As I finish writing this, the biggest message I received from this was that compassion is not an option, it is a must! We should see through situations, and remember that a precious human being, no matter the situation is still a precious human being. This article is dedicated to this precious lady that needed a helping hand, not to be laughed at, or dis-respected. I wish I could have done more for you.

YOUR TEARS ARE TREASURED GIFTS - ALLOW THEM TO FLOW - TO ASSIST IN YOUR GROWTH

Suppress, suppress, suppress .. Or .. Express, express, express

Which way do you think is happier and healthier for you? Which way do you think enhances your daily well-being? You may have never really thought about whether you are suppressing or expressing,. I didn't until I decided to participate in my own self journey. Take a moment and think about how you are dealing with your day to day situations.

My new motto for this week, which I have plastered over the top of my desk is 'EXPRESS AND FEEL YOUR BEST'. Now I guess some of you maybe thinking I mean laughing out loud or singing wildly, or crying out loud, (especially if you know me personally, as I can be quite child-like at times .. giggling).

Actually, what I do mean is, as emotions rise to greet me, I am willing to acknowledge them and let them flow. No more suppressing them, swallowing them, hiding them, or putting them away for a rainy day. I guess I am ready to deal with my emotions at last and release them and bid them farewell. Not to be resurrected at another time. Gone, dealt with and moving on.

As I have been peeling off the layers of my grief I have been reminded once again of the beautiful blessings, of my forgotten gifts. The true essence of who I am.

My initial phase of staying strong throughout my marriage breakup and remaining brave, for myself, my children and my sanity has served it's purpose and I am grateful for this innate survival instinct to help me to arrive at this new destination point.

Although change can be scary, I am really enjoying these new changes taking place. Especially as it has been such a dark tunnel and I am finally seeing the light glimmering, just over there!

Another reality check I have had to deal with, is even though I have been growing within myself, doesn't mean everyone around me is growing with me. In a previous blog I discussed that we are all different in how we deal with situations and we are all on different life journey's.

Knowing this is helpful when we are dealing with each other throughout our lifetime. My growth to a few friends, who have known me and viewed me in a certain way or role in their life, have not understood or accepted my change. I have also had to respect and accept this.

It has been sad to lose friends. I have also had to grieve over the loss of these precious souls who were once a part of my life. I absolutely wish them the very best in their lifetime and I will always have a place for them in my heart.

The most important thing to remember in this whole process, it has been necessary for my SELF to heal and achieve balance and harmony once again in my life. My goal now is to open up to all possibilities that are available to me now, whether it is just a simple SMILE on my face, connecting with other beautiful souls, enjoying the true essence of nature, relaxing and enjoying my own company, socializing with friends and new friends yet to come into my life. Simple things, yet inspiring and nourishing!

I would like to thank my tears which have been treasured gifts. By allowing my tears to flow helped to release my pain step by step into this next phase of letting go (which has been the hardest).

The wondrous outcome though is the next pinnacle of healing and inner GROWTH. This is definitely the most exciting phase. I feel child-like in this phase - learning, seeking, growing, discovering, rejoicing!

Lastly, I wrote for this for myself as a reminder to release, to express and I would like to share it with you:

" If you need to cry, allow your tears to flow. Your tears are a beautiful spiritual wash for emotions that need healing. Every tear is a step closer to the new growth they are leading you to!

Release .. Let go .. and GROW !! "

Judging others is such a time waster! Judging others situations or peoples choices overlooks what is real!

How can we truly understand another person, without firstly living that person's lifetime? Tread in their precious footprints?

We need to be more understanding and be more open to other people's choices. As we are all individuals, and we all live our lifetime journey differently. So therefore, what we believe is right, doesnt neccessarily mean it is right for anyone else. We are here to support and love one another, not to judge or push our point of view.

We are all beautiful beings, who are all journeying together in our lifetimes. We need to celebrate our uniqueness! We are all an amazing kaleidescope of differences that make up one extraordinary world.

I have an example of pre-judging someone else that I experienced. When my children were younger, every Friday we used to bake small cakes and take them down to a local park and hand them out to the homeless.

We got to know all these precious souls, athough, one particular man called 'Walter' I still think about to this day!

Walter's story was, he had travelled the world many times, he was an engineer of a large worldwide company, he was highly regarded by his colleagues and friends, making loads of money and happily married with children. In his own words he said he had everything!!

Until the day his beloved wife of 34 years died of cancer. Walter was unable to cope with his workload and express the extent of his grief to his work colleagues, so he left his workplace. Walter was also unable to express the extent of his grief to his friends or family, so he walked away from them also.

He said that his family, were not used to him being a sensitive soul and couldn't cope with his heartbreak. So he took the burden off them, by living on the street, leaving all his wordly posessions and home for his children to enjoy.

Walter tried to cope with his grief and loss by numbing himself with alcohol, and walking the streets alone.

It could be easy to judge Walter and the other homeless people, as we have no real idea, who these people are, or their journey, or their heartbreak. Sometimes it is easier to judge a person, than to take the time out to get to know them, or understand them.

Walter was an amazing human being, highly intelligent, he had had an amazing life, and loved his wife with such a passion. When he talked about her, his face lit up, and for a brief moment it was like he was with her once again.

His role in his life was to be the competent engineer, in his workplace, the pillar of strength and bread winner to his family and a strong social/networking centre to his friends. He could no longer live up to their expecations and felt he was a failure, as his grief became a sign of weakness.

I learnt a lot through Walter, I am very thankful for the short amount of time we shared together. One Friday though, we came to the park and Walter was gone, my heart now ached for him, I never saw him again.

Walter was not suffering from homelessness or alcoholism, he was suffering from a broken heart. A beautiful gentle soul! Who felt, by expressing his gentle, sensitive self, he was now a failure. He felt he had lost everything, including himself. Such a shame that he didnt see the strength, in his gentleness, in his soul... I did.

KICK START ~NEW LIFE GOAL'S~ WITH POSITIVE CHANGE

Deciding to make changes in your life requires an honest look at what in your life needs improving and then organizing new ways to achieve these goals.

Change isn't always easy, especially if you are unsure how to embrace a new outlook in your life. Change can seem frightening as you have never trodden these new path's before.

Sometimes requiring you to 'let go' of old ways and thought patterns. You may need all your inner strength to keep believing that you are making these positive changes to enhance your life.

Here is a selection of some ideas that I have been using in my life:

WRITE A LIST AND PRIORITIZE GOALS
I start by writing a list of changes in my life that I would like to create. Right from this very moment to a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goal. Prioritizing from the most important goals right now to my long term goals.

BEING REALISTIC - What is truly achievable
This is important, if you set yourself unrealistic goals, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Something like, everything in my life will be fine by tomorrow is completely unrealistic. Getting back on track may take some time to complete. Although changing your mindset to a more positive outlook can be achievable right now. Within this very moment! This is an achievable goal!

CREATE A VISION BOARD
For those that have not heard of a 'Vision Board' it is a series of positive words and images that you glue together as a collage on a piece of paper, or piece of cardboard for example. This is placed in a special place either in your home or at your work place as a visual positive reminder of what you would like to ultimately achieve.

POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
The use of positive affirmations is a technique to change that negative self-talk into something more positive. Here is a video to watch as a great example of daily positive affirmations, please click here to view

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
When you believe in YOURSELF .. this is a magnificent, peaceful and abundant place to be. Your life becomes clearer as you no longer need to seek outside influences to help you make decisions. You are no longer over stimulated by trends, negatives, confusing theories, other peoples opinions, etc. You believe in who you are as a person and what is honestly best for you in your lifetime.

READING POSITIVE BOOKS
Positive books can be inspiring for change. There are actually quite a few to choose from. You can find books that are suitable to your situation either online: at Amazon Books or at your local retail book store

THE IMPORTANCE OF LAUGHTER
This is just a brief outline of the benefits of laughter in your life:
    * Laughing helps to motivate and release positive energy.
    * Laughter helps to reduce feelings of grief and depression and create a sense of well-being.
    * Laughter helps to strengthen the immune system.
    * No matter how negative you feel, laughter can uplift your emotional state to a very positive level.
    * Laughter therefore helps create the positive mindset that you are looking for in order to keep going with your new life goals for positive change.

CELEBRATING EACH GOAL ACHIEVED
As you achieve each goal from your list, regardless of how big or small, celebrate your achievements! I have made a personal growth chart, which I have written all my goals on. As I achieve one, I write in a beautiful Gold Marker the word 'ACHIEVED' in big letters next to it. I also collect scented candles, so with each goal achieved, I purchase a different candle. Each candle, costing around $5.00, so very inexpensive, and each representing a personal goal achieved.

ASKING FOR HELP
Asking for help from someone you trust, like a good friend, family member or a health care professional is another wonderful option if you are finding it hard to re-build your life. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, actually it is a sign of strength. This shows that you are able to reach out in order to make change. We were not born with a life manual, so it is great to get some advice, guidance and tips to help us along our life path when needed.

I hope this article may have helped you in some way, to kick start your 'new life goals', to a positive change.

'WAKING UP TO REALITY' - OUCH!

I have been restless for a while now, not a typical restless, a feeling of being aimless. I have been ignoring this, as I just thought that I would naturally come through the process of my marriage break up and all would resume to normality in time.

In actual fact all I had done was squash my feelings down and just carry on, believing this was the best way to deal with the situation. I was wrong!

This week I awoke one morning with a distinct determination to start the healing process. To once and for all face my grief and loss, so I could now move forward with my life. I honestly thought that I would recover in time and the most important thing was to just be a good mother, provider and friend and all would eventually be okay.

I was always there for everyone else, such as my family and friends, I just wasn't open to taking care of myself, as I didn't want to feel the pain and acknowledge that it was there. I didn't want to face that I had a broken heart.

I now realize that I need to be open to my feelings of loss and grief and to recognize that my marriage break up represented a big void of failure to myself. I was also using a choice of weapons to beat myself up with, guilt, pain, regret, fear, control and the 'if only's'.

I decided to write a list of all the feelings that I was suppressing, the list grew longer and longer. I was amazed that so much had been contained inside myself for so long! No wonder I hadn't felt clear and connected with my SELF.

Once I had this huge list in front of me, I re-read each word out loud in the privacy of my own room. I acknowledge each of them and decided to let go of each one. I started to feel the significance in this 'letting go' process.

My emotions became so raw as I allowed each one to surface. Although after I released each word it was like a wonderful cleansing, an intense process of inner freedom!

After I finished this process, I wanted to make sure that this was the finality to this period of my life. Where I could remember this day as it's ending. So I bundled up the pages and placed a ribbon around them. This symbolized my love for them, as they had been apart of this precious time in my life. After all these words represented experiences that were now enabling me to grow to another level of my humanity in my lifetime.

I dug a hole under a beautiful flowering tree in my backyard and buried the list. So now instead of being buried beneath my emotions, they were now buried in the earth and given back to the universe. These papers with all these words of my past would now break down within the soil and become apart of a beautiful flowering tree.

The inner peace that followed this symbolism was amazing! I felt at peace not only with myself, also with the process of the years that have followed since my marriage break up. The struggles that have swept me to this point, financially, emotionally, physically and mentally. I realized that life is a continual living and breathing moment to moment of change.

Letting go can be a very painful process that I chose to suppress rather than express. Although once I experienced the process of 'letting go', the freedom in this was immeasurable.

I am now setting new goals to move forward with. Goals that involve taking chances and opening up to the new possibilities. One of these is to finish a website that I started building, yet I couldn't finish. I couldn't find a purpose in creating a website. Now I do see the purpose in finishing my website and will be busily re-building it over the next couple of weeks.

Everyday is a new experience. Everyday leads me to a beautiful new place in my life. I am now more conscious of giving to myself and taking care of my own needs. I am more conscious of letting things go, instead of carrying experiences with me. Living in my NOW, as yesterday is gone and tomorrow hasn't even happened. Living in my NOW makes more sense.

It is a more peaceful place to live within too. I am sharing so much love with myself,after all there is only one of 'me' in my lifetime. Why live in self punishment, when you can live within 'self love' and cherish your precious moments.

Punishing myself isn't going to change events in my life. Events are a part of life whether good or bad. This is reality and Ouch, it can be painful! Although within pain there is the potential for personal growth. This is the path I choose now .. onwards into a brand new future!

The Best Personal Workout - To Help You Shine !!!

This is a personal workout of mine, that I wanted to share with you, so you too can participate in, as many times a week as you like. This is not a physical workout .. No .. This is a workout for YOUR self.

To enhance your life, in order to be better for yourSELF, your daily routine and the people around you. To enlighten your spirit and encourage you to SHINE!! Are you ready?? .. Here we go !!

1. Look in a mirror and acknowledge what a miracle you are! If you feel yourself becoming negative about this, exhale this negativity into the air and take a deep breathe in that represents only positive, caring , and warm thoughts. Again exhale all negatives out and acknowledge them leaving your body and never returning.

2. Acknowledge that there is no other person on this earth that is the same as YOU. So it is unnecessary to compare yourself to others. YOU are unique to this world, filled with your own beauty, greatness and success. Think about this clearly and realize that this is TRUE.

3. Take a minimum of 5 minutes of your day to either visit a special place, read your favorite book, meditate, take a bubble bath, listen to a favourite song or whatever it is that really and truly places you in a bliss state. This is a great way to rest your mind from the hustle and bustle of life. When you are in this special place, enjoy every moment. Switch off from any other thoughts except the enjoyment of this moment .. live in the NOW. If any other thoughts want to crash your OWN party exhale them out and breathe in the positive ones that you are only going to allow in this precious moment that YOU DESERVE.

4. Make contact with a friend or loved one, that you can truly be yourself with. SHARE with this person, whether with laughter, or perhaps something positive that you have experienced yourself, lately. Sharing, is a two way conversation, where both people are participating and being acknowledged. Both people are benefiting in some way from the experience.

5. Start a 'Positive Journal', in this journal only write about the positive experiences you have experienced in your day. Even if you only write a few each day. This still gives you a great reference to go to, when it seems that all is bleak and life seems hopeless.You know, 'one of those days', when you would rather jump back into bed and hide under the covers and not come out. This way while you are under the covers you can pick your journal up and read through the beautiful messages you have left to inspire yourself.

6. Buy yourself a meaningful present, as if you were buying it for your best friend. It doesn't have to be expensive, just meaningful. For example I bought my SELF a little notebook and a pen. These cost me less than $10.00, and now my notebook is filled with positive notes I have written down each day.

7. Positive affirmations are another great way to help yourself shine! If you are not familiar with affirmations, you can easily google affirmations and find out how inspiring they are. I especially like to write some on post-it notes and stick them on my desk around my computer, so that I can view my affirmations throughout the day. If I am having a bad day, I quickly write the reverse of the situation and stick it right in front of my face. So that I can visualize the positive version.

8. Laughter - This to me is such an important key to a beautiful , shining , healthy you! 1 minute of Laughter has been medically proven to be the same as 6 minutes on a rowing machine. Laughter reduces stress, produces endorphins that make you feel great, relaxing your muscles and boosts your immune system. LAUGHTER is the best medicine and I recommend that you prescribe yourself daily.

9. Be true to yourself .. now this one might seem, even odd to you. Believe me how many times a week, do we begrudgingly do things that we really didn't want to do. How many times a week do we people please. How many times do we berate our self for being talked into taking on more than you should have. I have one word for this STOP !! Are you really being true to yourself? Are you treating your SELF with kindness and compassion? Learn to say 'No' if that is what you really mean to say.

10. Make yourself a vision board. These can be made with cardboard, or within your journal, or even an A4 piece of paper. This is something you can aspire to. Using cut outs from magazines, print outs from your computer, or just writing something yourself. Find inspiring pictures, words, scenes, places and cut them out and glue them on to one of the resources you have chosen, such as your cardboard etc. Make sure your vision board once it is finished, is placed somewhere that you can see day to day. By envisioning what you have put together, with positivity, a goal, an aim, or a place to visit, will be absorbed by your mind daily.

Positivity, just like negativity is practised daily, so why not change your mindset to SHINE!! Life will be a more peaceful and harmonious place to be. These are just some suggestions that I like to use as my personal workout and I hope that these might benefit you also.

More than anything just be the best person you can be to your SELF, so in turn you will be the very best for all those around you. Enjoy your SELF and SHINE.

I Aint No Designer Label !!! I'm ME !!!

Are you feeling disconnected and estranged from yourself? Or have you forgotten who you are? Perhaps you are not sure of both questions. I used to feel this way, until I decided to get to know my SELF.

I was so busy, trying to work my tush off, being the perfect mother, wife, fashion esquire! That eventually I forgot who I was. No wonder !!!
I was so busy people pleasing and keeping up with the rest of the world.

My SELF had become extinct lost in the revolving door of consumerism, materialism, and the media hype.

The sad thing is that I didn't even realize that I was spiralling away into extinction.......I thought that all was normal and this was life!

Until I truly looked into the mirror one morning and saw some stressed out individual looking back at me. I then stopped and studied, this face, I saw a monotoned, bleak,unfulfilled, distressed person looking back at me and I felt an instant rush of disbelief that this was my own reflection!

I realized I needed to re-evaluate MY life,
and this was the hardest process. To let go of old ways, habits and thoughts.

These were so ingrained in me. I resisted, I made excuses, I bargained with myself, I procrastinated, I blamed!

In doing this the process was hindered until I realized I had to take responsibility for my own thoughts, actions and pro-active changes.

Now I'm not saying this was an easy process. As I am one big multi-faceted gal and with so many facets to let go of and discover yet, I was on a major archaeological find.

I had to dig so deep and intensely it was at times so painful.

But you know like any great explorer with a passion for discovery, I was excited to be uncovering all there was to find and change. As I was on the best journey of my life. SELF discovery!

To this day I am still on this path and will continue to grow, discover and uncover, new facets of my SELF.

Encouraging all that is inspiring, loving, nurturing, abundant, positive, purposeful, creative, fulfilling, etc.

I am a one off exquisite masterpiece in progress....

I ain't no 'Designer Label !!!!

I'm no longer listening to the hype of the money making machines of: TV, magazines and media enterprises. That continue to spew out endless ways to fix me, what to wear, how to feel, how I should look, whether I'm a great parent, wife, friend, whether I am successful in my life, workplace, my self image.

You know something I'm over it .. I am not a mindless robot, I am successful in all facets of my life, as I now realize that I'm doing the very best I can, and that in itself, is 'EXCELLENCE'.

Now, when I look in the mirror, I see a beautiful butterfly, free! An individual, enjoying life and all that it encompasses.

Living with the good and the bad. As this gives me balance and self challenges, without these, I would be living in a boring fixed state, not experiencing all that life has to offer me in MY lifetime.

The Art of Pain

I can remember when I was so filled with inner pain, that my insides felt like they were screaming and twisted. My heart was heavy and my breathing so fast and sharp, I thought I was going to explode!

Everyday seemed like a burden, just to perform medial tasks, or interact with other people. There was no such thing as joy and my outlook on life was bleak. Pain was my only friend. I would help pain out by providing a stick to keep beating myself up with.

I would share my life with the wrong people in order to keep my self esteem at an all time low in order to keep myself suppressed, where I believed I belonged. I had no self belief and I was certainly not kind to myself at all.

I became so good at self harming and sabotage, that I just accepted that this was my way of life! This was the path that had been handed to me and I would in martyr style walk it. Everybody else was handed out the good bits in life and somehow I was being punished for mine. Until ....

One day..I decided I was sick of feeling this constant pain and the weight of it became so unbearable, that as a last resort, I sought counselling. This was the very first day of my SELF recovery. My eyes were opened to 'my own' choices in creating this pain my life.

Yes my past HAD been very painful. (The important word here is 'had'). What I hadn't realized is the past was gone. All that remained now were the memories of the past and I had them in a HUGE sack carrying them on my back 24 hours a day! They were still living in my NOW!!

So with this realization I decided to unpack this HUGE sack, a little at a time and forgive, let go, grieve, accept, love and finally GROW into my now. With a new NOW. A 'now' that existed with inner peace, joy, hope and much LOVE.

A LOVE, that I had never experienced before, one that was especially for me. A love that was kind, humbling, beautiful, creative, blissful, abundant, giving and free flowing and so much more. I came to learn who I was, what gifts I had all along and new gifts that were now blossoming in this peaceful way of being.

In this new growth, I found that there are always going to be ups and downs in life. It is how I choose to look at different situations in my life. Growing in all situations is healthy and abundant as you are a better person for all those around you and within YOURSELF.

I am happy now to leave gentle loving foot prints along my way. Instead of huge black empty holes that fulfilled nothing except pain! I am joyful and feel joyous and in this I am 'Creating The Love' in my life.

In all experiences whether good or bad there is a choice for personal 'Growth' and in making a new choice there is always HOPE.

I really wanted to share this, as we are not born with a 'life' instruction manual. If you do not have good role models around you at this time, or you feel you are lost in a black hole of pain, I am humbled to share this with you today, as my gift to YOU.
