Blade 4

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 03:15:00 -0700

here have been talks about a possible new Blade movie since quite a long time. Director Stephen Norrington and Scriptwriter David Goyer were even thinking about doing a prequel that would focus on the character of Deacon Frost (played by Stephen Dorff in the first film) instead of Blade (Wesley Snipes)...

But fans are still hoping that Blade 4 would star Wesley Snipe as the lead character. Well, seems like this could happen since Wesley Snipes said he would be interested in doing it:

"There has been some talk about a Blade 4. I would be interested if the script was right."
Actor Wesley Snipes

He confirmed again his interest in doing Blade 4 during an interview with MTV:
"Man, this has been coming up quite a bit. I'm really surprised to see how people are anticipating me doing another one, so you never know.
[...]
There are some things we really want to do that we didn't get a chance to do. The first and the second one were experiments, and we started to get better. If we do another one, it will reflect our maturity and our better understanding of the genre
[...]
[I'd like to see] a larger, multiracial cast, and it would be great to have some rehearsals before some of the action sequences."
Actor Wesley Snipes

Well let's hope the studios will Wesley Snipes and that the movie Blade 4 will be greenlit soon!

The Expendables 2

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 03:13:00 -0700

A first official plot synopsis of The Expendables 2 has been revealed:

Plot of the Expendables 2:
"The Expendables are back and this time it's personal! After Tool (Mickey Rourke), the heart and soul of the Expendables, is brutally murdered on a mission, his comrades swear to avenge him. They're not the only ones who want blood. Tool’s beautiful young and wild daughter Fiona embarks on her own revenge mission, complicating matters when she is captured and ransomed by a ruthless dictator plotting to destroy a resistance movement. Now Barney and the Expendables must risk everything to save her and humanity."

Sounds like the stakes will be very high in the sequel to the Expendables! I wonder what's threatening humanity... A virus? A super bomb?

Ice Age 4

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 03:11:00 -0700

Fox is releasing a short film to promote Ice Age 4 Continental Drift. The short film, titled Scrat's Continental Crack-Up, focuses on the squirrel Scrat and reveals that he started the whole continental drift thing. Watch a clip of the Scrat short film below:

Update - The full short film is now officially online:
Fox and Blue Sky have announced that the movie Ice Age 4 will be released on July 13, 2012. They said the movie will be in 3D and they also revealed the working title, it's "Ice Age: Continental Drift". The studios execs prefer to play it safe and won't bring our friends of the Ice Age into a modern-day museum. Well it's probably better, because then there's still room for Ice Age 5.

The plot of Ice Age 4 Continental Drift will involve a new journey full of adventures.
There is still no official confirmation as of today, but you can bet that a new Ice Age movie sequel is being planned by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox. And actually some plot details of Ice Age 4 may have already leaked online!

Ain't It Cool News manage to get their hands not only on what could be the premise of Ice Age 4, but also on a possible title! According to them Ice Age 4 would be titled Ice Th4w, a pun on Ice Age Thaw and Ice Age 4, and here's the plot:

"[...] it seems a fourth Ice Age film has been well underway or the past few months. A friend of mine says the 4th installment sees Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie and Scrat frozen solid and accidentally defrosted in a museum in present day.

At this stage the film is being called 'Ice Age Th4w'."
AICN

I've mixed feeling about this plot of Ice Age 4... It would probably make for a really funny movie, and I can definitely imagine Scrat the squirrel going nuts for hazel praline chocolate. But I would be sad if our friends from the Ice Age were stuck in our time... I hope that thanks to some plot twist our furry heroes would manage to go back in time and avoid their4 frozen fate. Maybe thanks to some alien time travel machine? It wouldn't be so far fetched, we did see a UFO in the first film after all!

Besides they definitely need to go back to the Ice Age so the franchise can continue! And you can't separate the young Peach from her father!

So please, do bring Ice Age 4, but if the plot above is real, I beg you to allow our friend to go back in time to the Ice Age with their families.

Madagascar 3

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 03:09:00 -0700

A new Madagascar movie sequel is being planned, this would the third and final installment of the Madagascar movie series! DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg confirmed indeed that Madagascar 3 would released in Summer 2012. Katzenberg also hinted at the plot of Madagascar 3:

"There is at least one more chapter. We ultimately want to see the characters make it back to New York.
[...]

Yes, we are making a Madagascar 3 now, and it will be out in the summer of 2012."
DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg

Some more details of the plot of Madagascar 3 may have leaked online: according to Coming Soon, Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still trying to go back to they dear zoo in New York, and after somehow reaching Europe, they infiltrate a traveling circus in order to go back to the USA.

Those animals are now well experienced travelers. And I bet that the movie Madagascar 3 will be the most hilarious of the series! By the way, Madagascar 3 is quite likely to go 3D!

If this is the final Madagascar movie, I hope that the penguins will get their own spin-off movie later on, because they're damn cute.

Men In Black 3

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 03:08:00 -0700

Sony wants to revive the Men in Black, the self-funded New York City-based agency that secretly monitors and regulates extraterrestrials' activity on Earth! Indeed a third installment of the Men In Black movie series has been decided.

In a presentation April 1, 2009 at ShoWest, Rory Bruer (Sony Pictures' president of worldwide distribution) announced that they were developing Men In Black 3 for release in 2012.

In 2005, Variety magazine mentioned that Sony Pictures was in talks with director Michael Bay to direct Men In Black III, but he will be busy with Transformers 3, so that's unlikely to happen. Maybe Barry Sonnenfeld, who directed the first two movies, will keep the job at the end and will also direct this new Men in black movie sequel.

Filming of Men In Black 3 hasn't started yet, a first official teaser trailer of Men in Black 3 has already leaked online. Well, it's actually a presentation trailer of Men in Black 3 with Actor Will Smith talking about the upcoming movie:

Taken Down following copyright notice.
MEN IN BLACK 3

Glad to hear that the movie Men in Black 3 is going to be 3D!

National Treasure 3

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 03:01:00 -0700

National Treasure 3 in 2010 Nicolas Cage is back as Benjamin Gates

Walt Disney may not have intended to make a movie franchise out of National Treasure, but one may understand the temptation to make National Treasure 3 following the success of the first two films.

The idea of a third movie is also interesting because Benjamin Gates (Nicolas Cage) left us on a cliffhanger issue at the end of the second movie. Indeed when asked about page 47 of the book of secret in National Treasure 2, Benjamin Gates mysteriously answered that it was 'life-altering'! For the trivia: I heard that the 'life-altering' scene was some improvisation from Nicolas Cage.

But damned, such ending should be forbidden! Now we are starving for more answers because of this 'life-altering' issue. Director Jon Turteltaub responded in a press interview that the idea was not set in stone as the basis for National Treasure 3, even stating that it could actually be an introduction for National Treasure 4...

Both Director Turteltaub and Benjamin Gates both acknowledged their interest in pursuing the adventures of Benjamin Gates. Still quite long to wait before the release of National Treasure 3 though. For now the movie is only slated for a 2010 release...

It is because the script of National Treasure 3 is still under works.

But three main rumors have emerged on the Internet about National Treasure 3:

Fountain of Youth - National treasure 3

The first rumor is about Benjamin Gates going in a quest the legendary Fountain of Youth, searched for in Florida by Ponce de Leon.

But then there would be a problem with the plot Pirates of the Caribbean 4 said to be also based on the Fountain of Youth. So even if this rumor is well spread I believe it is the less likely to be true.

Atlantis - National treasure 3

Another potential plot floating on the interweb is about Benjamin Gates going to Easter Island to hunt for Atlantis. The story would involve some mysterious clean energy source that would save the world from global warming.

This new plot may be a bit farfetched, it sounds as strange as the aliens in Indiana Jones 4 actually... But Nicolas Cage said that he'd like to see the movie going abroad again, like some International Treasure.

The Roanoke Colony - National treasure 3

This information comes from a source who is believed to be an assistant writer of the National Treasure franchise:

The Page 47 of National Treasure 2 actually involves a quest to find the lost colony of Roanoke, North Carolina (the colony that disappeared in 1585). The lost colony is said to be the "holding place" of the grandest treasure of all (even better than the city of gold). The treasure has yet to be revealed but it is supposed to be the best of all time. Area 51 could have been involved but Disney vetoed the idea as being too sci-fi. The colony plot may still go on with some other mysterious treasure though.

I doubt that National Treasure 3 has any chance to be released sooner than 2010 (even think 2011...) because of the undergoing economic crisis. But I would be so glad if it was released earlier than expected! Impatient to see National Treasure 3.

Batman 3

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 02:59:00 -0700

“Christian Bale returns as Batman to battle Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.”

This trailer of The Dark Knight Rises is so teasing, can’t wait to see the film. May God bless Chrsitian Bale and Director Christopher Nolan!
Director Christopher Nolan explains why the movie Dark Knight Rises, aka Batman 3, won’t be in 3D:

Dark Knight Rises Trailer

“We want the look and feel of the film to be faithful to what has come before in the first two films,” he said. “There was a large canvas and operatic sweep to ‘The Dark Knight’ and we want to make a film that will carry on with that look and feel
[...]
Our ambition for the third movie is to complete a story that has begun. This is not starting over, this is not rebooting. We’re finishing something, and keeping a consistency with what’s come before has real value.”
Director Christopher Nolan

Well, I don’t mind if the Dark Knight Rises, but I want to watch it in IMAX!

Amazing Spider-Man

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Sun, 31 Jul 2011 02:56:00 -0700

“A teenage Peter Parker grapples with both high school and amazing super-human crises as his alter-ego Spider-Man.”

So judging from this Amazing Spider-man trailer, do you think the reboot will be a hit? Is Andrew Garfield fit for the lead role as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man?

The Amazing Spider-Man movie is directed by Marc Webb and is starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans. The film will be released in theaters on July 3, 2012.

MUMBAI ATTACK 13/07/2011

noreply@blogger.com (Tejas) — Wed, 13 Jul 2011 23:35:00 -0700

Home minister P Chidambaram is in Mumbai to survey the serial blasts in Mumbai. Chidambaram is addressing a press conference in the city.

He expressed deep regret over the Mumbai serial blasts.

Ammonium nitrate with timer devices were used in the IEDs in Mumbai, said the home minister.

Death toll in the Mumbai blasts is 18 including that of a severed head which is yet to be identified, said Chidambaram. According to the home minister, 131 have been admitted to 13 hospitals, of which 26 have been discharged and 82 have been said to be stable. Of the 131, 23 are critically injured.

Blasts sites have been cordoned off; people will not be allowed there.

"All groups that are capable of carrying out such attacks are suspects. No intelligence inputs about yesterday's blast with Central and state agencies," said Chidambaram.

"I am sad that the second incident of terror attack has happened after 26/11 carnage and both have happened in Maharashtra," added Chidambaram.

Chidambaram rejected suggestions that there was an intelligence failure. "Blasts not aimed at hitting markets, the terror group chose targets with high population density," he said."We have made it clear to Maharashtra Police not to rule out any angle. We will probe every hostile group. We are not ruling out anything," he said.

Possibility of derailing the Indo-Pak talks by carrying out the blasts also not ruled out. "We live in the most troubled neighbourhood. Pakistan and Afghanistan are the epicentres of terrorism," said Chidambaram.

A sexy summer weekend turns into a blood-soaked nightmare for a group of college students trapped on an island surrounded by voracious underwater predators in "Shark Night 3D," a terrifying thrill ride from director David Ellis ("The Final Destination," "Snakes on a Plane"), featuring a red-hot young cast including Sara Paxton ("Superhero Movie," "Last House on the Left"), Dustin Milligan ("90210," "Slither"), Chris Carmack ("The O.C."), Joel David Moore ("Avatar"), Chris Zylka ("The Amazing Spider-Man") and Katharine McPhee ("The House Bunny").

Arriving by boat at her family's Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates. Assuming the injury was caused by a freak wake-boarding accident, the group realizes they have to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake, and fast.

But as they set out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends discover the lake has been stocked with hundreds of massive, flesh-eating sharks! As they face one grisly death after another, Sara and the others struggle desperately to fend off the sharks, get help and stay alive long enough to reach the safety of dry land
