The iPhone 11 Pro Max excellent cameras, excellent battery life and bright display make it a phone to call. The iPhone 11 Pro Max is not just the best phone. It is more than just other good phones like Samsung Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and OnePlus 8 Pro.

Yes, the standard iPhone $699 iPhone 11 is a good price, but the iPhone 11 Pro Max ($ 1,099) has an OLED power display compared to the iPhone 11's LCD. Features

The main difference between the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max size: Max is 6mm longer and 6mm wider than its counterparts, but the stand size is 8.1mm. The smooth finish, which includes glossy edges and matte background, is beautiful but rather slippery and makes the phone not lose, especially at this time. Vivo NEX S Android Smartphone Review

A few months later, the Vivo NEX S introduced features with almost prototype features. But is the NEX S all the brightness and nothing? It’s just a smartphone with a beautiful face and elegance but nothing else? We take great pleasure in Vivo NEX S to give you the answers.

Design

It’s hard to deny that NEX S’s biggest complaint is its appearance. No other phone, other than the OPPO Find X, can boast of that large screen in the face. The 91.24% screen is straightforward. And that's without giving a notch and having a very small beard. Yes, it is still chin, but it is not visible.

The back of the phone would be fun compared to the Vivo art form. At the back, it produces a variety of colours depending on how the light is reflected from the top glass. The result is amazing and will make you hesitant to blame.

You may want to, however, especially if you are not used to holding a heavy phone. At 199 grams, the Vivo NEX is easily one of the heaviest smartphones among its screen size flags. That may be due to the many compact parts inside, especially the equipment that pulls and pulls the camera with the camera. That extra heft, however, has the effect of making you feel stronger while the slightly curved curve allows the phone to rest comfortably and securely in your hand.

Specifications

Given how big and large the screen is, it should be taken into consideration. The Vivo NEX S has a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 2316 × 1080. Not exactly QHD or 1440p but meets 2K requirements. Unusual adjustment means that some of the letters in the box will not be blocked. Being an OLED screen from Samsung, you can assume that the NEX S will show the same performance, say, Galaxy S9 or Galaxy Note 9. with it. The screen also tends to like reds and blues over greens, it gives it a healthy but less vivid colour.

The biggest mistake that NEX S makes when it comes to specs, however, is what is missing. Lack of wireless charging may be justified and if you want a much higher 512 GB storage option, the non-expansion of microSD cards is almost irrelevant. But combine the two with the fact that the phone does not have an NFC chip inside, you will begin to see where Vivo may have cutting corners to accomplish its construction and tactics. That means there are no mobile payment options, either Google Pay or whatever China has in its place.

Camera

Next to the screen, that gimmick camera is one of Vivo NEX S.'s largest helmets. And, admittedly, it's a timeless gimmick. Open the app that needs to use the front camera and exit. Automatically though you can choose your sound effect choice that gets attention. Switch to a different app or close the app and the camera will reload. The machine rubs to expect it to be fast, in less than two seconds, and solid. The fact that it will stop wearing and discarded for everyday use, however, is not something we can quickly answer.

Sadly, it is almost a show. Because while the lifting method may be attractive, the real camera is not. Not uncommon but an 8-megapixel f / 2.0 camera leaves much to be desired. The biggest draw is its Face Beauty AI, except that it is very aggressive and tends to produce good results. It may be very popular in China, but some may find it disturbing.

The phone is not a lost cause, thank you. The main camera, made with a 12-megapixel f / 1.8 sensor with four OIS axis and a PDAF integrated pixel with a 5-megapixel f / 2.4 sensor, is ideal if not the least respectable. It’s not the best thing, mind, but you’ll be amazed at how beautiful it is. Under bright and vibrant conditions, the NEX S produces impressive results with bright colours and precise details. There seems to be an error in the case of over-modification that, like the aggressive Beauty Mode, seems to be designed to take care of social media more than work photos. Ironically, the camera records 2K and 1080p videos at only 30 fps.

Sounds

The Vivo NEX S has another hidden trick: it doesn't have a headphone jack. Instead, it uses motion to turn the upper part of the screen into a sound channel. The company calls this “Screen Sound Casting” and uses the same piezoelectric speaker, which uses a vibrating car, the Xiaomi Mi Mix has, a subtle but important difference. NEX S will not broadcast what others hear, even if it is in a hearing line. That Christmas sound and clear sound is only for your ears.

But when the NEX S 'high-end speaker launches, its down-to-earth speaker is very common, almost unattractive. Great but emphasizes bass to the point of throwing a high tone. Due to the Screen SoundCasting feature, Vivo cannot use the "ear speaker" to create a stereo audio effect. Fortunately, the NEX S has a built-in DAC so you can at least connect to good headphones for more satisfying sound.

Finger Scanner

Looks like the NEX S never runs out of team tricks, and here it is again. It has a fingerprint scanner (FOD) or a fingerprint scanner on the screen. Not surprisingly there, in fact, as Vivo was the first in the incident after Samsung and Apple dropped the technology soon. Fortunately, the technology has had a period of maturity between the Vivo X21 UD and NEX S, otherwise, it would have been a disappointing affair.

The sensor is fast but not completely accurate. It can take a while to get used to, especially as you need to benefit from a particular area, unlike the Vivo Apex model which proposes a sensitive area that stays part of the screen. Depending on the light, it can also be discarded by different lighting conditions. FOD technology, however, is still in its early days. Sadly, this is not the only thing that can be fixed by a software update.

The Vivo NEX S does not have a face recognition to talk about, which is probably the best solution you have to wait for the camera to appear before turning on your phone. That is to say, our OPPO and your rival do the same with getting X. Surprisingly, no one has a fingerprint scanner at all.

Software

While the NEX S so far seems to be a balanced combination of good features and flexibility, the software is where the smartphone falls off its face. That is, it depends on where you come from. Android users who complain about how TouchWiz stitched the stage may have never heard of Vivo's Funtouch OS popularity. Or ColorOS for OPPO and Xiaomi's MIUI, that's the story. If there is a common thread between these Chinese Chinese desires that, or, at least, they did not intend to look and feel.

That will surely be your first impression of the NEX S 'version of Android. Vivo's Funtouch even tried to copy the new touch of the iPhone X, even with the now active control centre rising from the ground up. And it stays beautiful or works all the time. If you come from any other Android experience, the repair time will be long and painful. If you are already a Vivo user, then you will not have a problem at all.

That's not the only software problem. NEX S puts his Vivo effort into an AI assistant called Jovi. And, unfortunately, it has its own dedicated button. And it is useless for anyone other than China. Speaking of which, if you end up getting a Chinese model, you won't have Google Play services. Models sold in other markets, such as India, fortunately, do not have such a problem.

Performance and Battery

So how does the Vivo NEX S work in the real world? Surprisingly, to be honest. With a small compliment to the Snapdragon 845 and 8 GB of RAM, the smartphone stays fast and responsive. Surprisingly given how difficult it can be to customize Funtouch. However, apart from all of its dances or perhaps because of it, Vivo did not have enough space for a fancy water cooling system, so be careful when paying taxes.

Battery life may be hitting or failing. A 4,000 mAh pack can last you every two days, a day and at least a few hours. The discrepancy is caused by the part of Funtouch's memory management that is aggressive and thoughtless. You can't run the plug before the day is over but don't let it stretch. Fortunately, the NEX S incorporates very fast charging to do just that.

Conclusion

So should you buy the Vivo NEX S? If you live outside China or one of the markets where it is officially sold, the answer is simple: no. The software upgrades that come with Funtouch, especially the lack of Google Play Store, are more than enough to ruin the beautiful but boring smartphone look experience. But if you have easy access to the phone, the scales are still dripping very badly.

The NEX S definitely looks good and is a good start to a conversation, but you don’t get the best that the market has to offer you. While it looks like a future smartphone, judging by the latest flagship series, even Vivo and OPPO itself seem to have little hope for the future.

Vivo Z1X Android Smartphone Review

The Vivo Z1X is probably the phone with the best cameras, outstanding OLED screen, and fast performance. The plastic store software is back, and the Vivo Z1X is almost a perfect phone for Rs 16,990.

Vivo has introduced the Z1 Pro in India, which shows a slight change in the company's strategies. It was a phone that was sold online and that is why it offers details, features at a very competitive price. Over at India Today Tech, we loved it and called Vivo Z1 Pro an amazing smartphone for Rs 14,990. The Vivo Z1X which will be considered an update - even coming just a few months after the launch of the previous Z series phone from Vivo - is the same. With the Vivo Z1X, lightning strikes twice, to put it bluntly.

After using Vivo Z1X as my starting tool for a few days now I can say that with the value of Vivo Z1X it can be a batch. Like the previous Vivo Z phone, the Vivo Z1X looks dignified, delivers powerful and non-existent performance, offers great battery backup, captures great photos with beautiful details, clicks on beautiful selfies, and finally comes with a C-type support. The Vivo Z1X packs everything a person needs during a smartphone, even though it is compatible with the Vivo software running on Android.

It looks good but it is plastic. Most Vivo phones - no matter what their price - look good. The Vivo Z1X is also no different. The Vivo Z1X looks dignified with a slim bezel, a sleek design, a water notch and a nice finish. Beats all right boxes, except one, when designed. Missing glass. I believe Vivo opts have long been known for its plasticity rather than plastic or polycarbonate - as Vivo likes to call it - with its smartphones. Thanks to the plastic back, the Vivo Z1X displays fingerprints easily. Most of the time I had to wipe the cover of the phone. This will not be a problem if you use the phone with the case, but if there is no charge there, you will not like the oily marks left on the phone by your fingers.

The level of construction is good. Similar to the Vivo Z1 Pro, the Vivo Z1X offers excellent build quality. The smartphone feels very strong in the hands. The Vivo Z1X also has good ergonomics and fits well in the hands. Another good thing about the Vivo Z1X is that unlike the Z1 Pro it is not bulky. Light at least 189.6g.

Excellent screen with beautiful viewing angles

Vivo introduces the AMOLED screen to Vivo second Z-series. For the Z1X Vivo opts a small touch screen compared to the one in the Z1 Pro. The Vivo Z1X comes with a 6.38-inch AMOLED screen that offers 2340x1080p resolution.

The bright display is one of the simplest parts with the Vivo Z1X. This is also a show that supports the "stay on" feature and comes with a fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the screen. The sensor works well and quickly turns on the phone.

I watched a lot of YouTube movies and videos on the phone, and played heavy game graphics like PUBG and Asphalt 9. The experience, especially with the OLED screen, was great. The Vivo Z1X screen is bright enough for both indoor and outdoor environments. Whether it’s Delhi sunlight or indoor lighting, the Vivo Z1X screen is bright enough for users to read messages or watch videos on the phone. The Vivo Z1X also offers good viewing angles. The screen also picks up the difference accordingly and the colours are punchy.

Beautiful camera

The IVV Z1X is great for cameras. With Z1X Vivo's Z-Series you join the 48MP bandwagon. The phone comes with a 100MP rear camera and a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Both the 48MP and 32MP camera produce a good end result. In addition to the 48MP main sensor, the Vivo Z1X features an 8MP super wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth lens.

Here I have to mention that the Vivo Z1X uses the 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor ever seen on the Redmi K20. This is not an IMX568 but the difference is small so that's fine. The most important thing is what kind of images the Z1X clicks on and then there is the phone.

The Vivo Z1X captures beautiful images with beautiful details and spot-in colours in good light. In auto image mode Vivo Z1X clicks 12MP resolution images. There is also a 48MP camera mode. Compared to 12MP camera mode the 48MP camera model clicks crisper images with high resolution. Photographs clicked on the phone are beautiful and the background is well done.

The low light and the Vivo Z1X camera do a good job. Low-resolution images defined in normal image mode are sometimes missed in detail but here is the night mode which helps. Night mode captures better details and makes low-light images look sharper.

The Vivo Z1X 32MP selfie camera is also very capable. I found selfies shooting this phone to be sharp with details and beautiful colours. The selfie camera comes with a few AI features. There is a selfie photo mode in the camera app. Photo selfies are also great with many details and the background is very dark. The only thing I didn't like about the Vivo Z1X camera app. It's too tight. The app includes too many options, camera modes, filters and many other things on a single screen that often confuses the user.

Smooth functionality with modified UI

I've used the Vivo Z1X as my main tool - this means I've used my phone to browse social media apps like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, send emails, browse the internet, chat on WhatsApp, listen to music, watch the World Cup, YouTube and Netflix Videos. I've played a lot of games - both basic games and demanding games like PUBG and Asphalt 9. In all cases, I've found the Z1X not only handles multitasking well but also runs games well. Apps on the Vivo Z1X open quickly and the flexibility between applications is also smooth.

I played long PUBG and Asphalt 9 sessions on the Vivo Z1X and didn't have time to find the phone moving slowly. The Vivo Z1X comes with an Ultra gaming mode that allows users to have an uninterrupted and enhanced gaming experience. Ultra play mode brings features like Competitive Mode, 4D vibration effect, Gdown countdown, among others.

Undoubtedly, the reputation for efficiency goes to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE chipset that enables the phone. Yes, it is the same chip and powerful Vivo Z1 Pro. Remembering that I was very happy with the performance of the Vivo Z1 Pro. I have the same thing to say about the performance of the Vivo Z1X.

One thing I don't like about Vivo Z1X is its winged FunTouch OS Vivo Z1X runs Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS on top. Vivo's custom Funtouch OS brings a number of third-party applications with it. FunTouch OS looks crowded with me with so many options on one screen. I have to say that although FunTouch OS is clumsy Vivo works to bring a smooth user experience. With the new FunTouch OS 9 Vivo brings new features like a wide range of system mode, among other things.

Excellent battery life

The Vivo Z1X battery lasts longer than one day. The large 4500mAh battery of this phone lasts for about a day and a half to me for one charge. Ice icing on the cake is a 22W fast charging and support of type C. Yes, in the end, Vivo leaves a small USB and opts the Type C port. Significantly, the 22W speed charger will be fitted with a box. There’s the Realme X, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Samsung Galaxy A50, among others. But in the crowded market, there is definitely room for the Vivo Z1X because it is a good phone, giving users almost everything they could need on the phone.

The Vivo Z1X is an excellent organization that surrounds the smartphone at the price it comes with. I would say it is one of the best in the price segment. The phone continues to be sold in India for the first time on September 13. It will be available at Flipkart and Vivo stores.

All in all, the Vivo Z1X looks modest, delivers a great AMOLED screen, offers smooth or non-slip performance, provides long-lasting battery life, and clicks beautiful and detailed images in all lighting conditions. However, I hope Vivo opts the glass body of its next Z phone and drips the plastic, and it works to make the FunTouch OS a little cleaner to have a better user experience. You can’t get it all, I know. But if the phone is as good as the Vivo Z1X you wish it were better now. That would make it perfect from almost right now.

And now it retails at Rs.13, 999. For this price, we get a really well-built phone. it's a hair wider, but taller than the Note 8 Pro. And with a 6.67-inch display, it's a huge Smartphone. to place it to a perspective, it's even bigger than the iPhone 11 Pro max. Slight curve to the rear makes it a touch easier to carry the phone in your hand, but make no mistake it's definitely a 2 handed device. because of the Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and back, it seems like a premium Smartphone. far better than the plastic back ones. But there's a downside to using glass at the rear, it gathers plenty of fingerprints and appears very dirty if you're not constantly wiping it. The frame is formed of plastic, but you won’t notice it until it's scratched. But within the hope of not letting this happen, Redmi includes a case within the box. it's an honest one and it does an honest job of protecting the phone. there's a little lip at the front, to stay the display protected, and there's also a raised portion to guard the camera module, which if you haven’t noticed by now, stands proud quite a bit. to place most of you guys at rest, Redmi has given gorilla glass 5 protection to the camera module also.

The 6.67 inch FHD+ IPS LCD display is amazing for watching videos or playing games. While the height brightness may be a few nits less than the Note 8 Pro’s display, this one can get pretty bright, even for many outdoor lighting situations. the colours and viewing angles also are good with specialized contrast levels, ensuring you don’t have much to complain about while using it. Some people will still find ways things to complain, love it being an LCD panel rather than OLED or it not having a 90 or 120Hz refresh rate. And rightly so because competition is giving AMOLED displays and 90Hz refresh rate at or around the same price point. But honestly, you won’t even mention this stuff if you only check out the display, without watching the specs sheet. this is often one among the simplest quality displays in terms of brightness levels, colour accuracy, contrast levels and viewing angles that you simply are getting to get at this price. The bezels all around the display are even as thick, as other Redmi Smartphone’s in recent times. This time, there's a little punch hole style cut-out for the selfie camera within the top middle of the display. this is often sufficiently small, that it doesn’t get in your way, regardless of what you're doing on the phone. And it's within the centre, where not much information gets displayed anyways. I didn't find this notch to be intrusive in the least. I'm just curious, that which notch does one prefer? punch hole type, waterdrop notch, pill-shaped notch, or does one prefer notch-less display with motorized crop up selfie camera? I might adore to understand what you guys think. Above the notch, there is a wide speaker grill, and the speaker under it gets loud enough for crisp and clear audio calls. Display being an LCD panel, you don’t get an in-display fingerprint sensor on this phone.

Honestly, I am really glad for this. Have you tried the in-display fingerprint sensor on the Mi A3, or any other budget device? If yes then you, Most of those fingerprint sensors at this price point are too slow to unlock the phone, and they are also highly inaccurate. So it takes multiple attempts to read your fingerprint. On this Note 9 Pro, the fingerprint sensor is placed on the right side of the phone, and it doubles as a power button. This one is really fast and accurate. I prefer this side placement over the display one, but I would have liked it to be placed a bit lower, for more comfortable usage, as it’s a very talk phone. Anyways I like this placement, let me know in the comments what you think about it. Above this fingerprint sensor / Power button, there is the volume up and down button. At the top, there is an IR blaster that lets you use your phone as a remote controller for your home appliances, and a secondary noise-cancelling microphone. There is a single SIM tray on the left that can hold 2 nano-SIM cards and a Micro SD card. So if you are running low on internal memory, you can add in more storage anytime you want. At the bottom you get the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is very important at this price point, a microphone, USB type C port for charging and data transfer, and a speaker grill. The speaker can get loud, but at higher volumes, it lacks the depth that you might expect from a quality speaker.

That being said, for the price, I think it is pretty good, and as I said it gets loud, so it gets the job done. After using a Media Tek processor inside the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi has decided to go back to using Snapdragon processors. And they have included their 720G processor on this one, which according to them is better than the Media Tek Helio G90T, used in the Note 8 Pro. It’s also built on 8nm architecture, so it is supposed to be much more efficient. I have been using this phone, and I never felt it lagged or stuttered while performing any normal daily tasks. It is snappy at opening and switching between apps. But if you like to play a lot of games, especially FPS games or the ones which require higher graphics, I won’t recommend you to get this phone. Because in that case, its performance is not the smoothest. There are a lot of frame drops here and there, and I think it has got to do with optimization. Because the 720G processor is capable of handling these games. You can still fire up these games on the phone, but the gameplay just won’t be as smooth as you would want it to be.

Coming back to the overall daily performance, I feel RAM management has been approved a lot compared to the Note 8 Pro, and it feels like an overall more refined smartphone. Speaking of RAM, you can either go with 4GB of RAM and it is coupled with 64GB of internal storage, or you can choose 6GB of RAM and it will give you 128GB of built-in storage. To power the phone, it packs in a monstrous 5020mAh battery. It is enough to make you phone easily last for a day and a half, even if you are a heavy user. With average usage, and not playing too many games. I was even able to get 2 days worth of usage from this phone, on a regular basis. When it is time to charge this huge battery, you get the 18watt fast charger included in the box. It still takes a bit over 2 hours to charger it, but I am glad they just didn’t give the usual10watt charger, because that would have just taken ages to completely charge it. But then again, some of the Realme phones in this price range have started shipping with 30watt fast chargers, so it would have been great to see the 27watt Xiaomi charger bundled with it, like the Note9 Pro Max. It is running the newest version of MIUI 11on top of Android 10. And while there are tons of features and customization options that MIUI offers which it's pretty smooth, OS is that the one thing that I wish to vary on this phone. If you'll slap a replacement skin or a replacement launcher like POCO launcher or completely change the design and feel of the OS by installing Nova launcher, you'll accept this phone with none issues.

Now my problem isn't with the MIUI, but more to try to to with all the bloatware that comes preinstalled, and every one the horrible ads and spam notifications that its default apps keep it up sending you. There should just be how to completely disable all these things, because it's really annoying to urge these ads and notifications, even once you de-select and opt-out of all the settings while fixing your phone. I just hope Xiaomi realizes these ads are spoiling their user's experience and just ruining their brand reputation on a day to day, which they dial these ads down a touch and confirm to stay them children friendly.

Coming to the quad cameras on the rear. Unlike its bigger brother the Note 9 Pro Max, this Note 9 Pro gets the 48 megapixel Samsung GM2sensor for its primary camera. It gets F/1.8 aperture and a 26mm lens. Next camera gets an 8-megapixel sensor with F/2.2 aperture, and a13mm ultra-wide lens. Then there's a5 megapixel sensor with F/2.4 aperture, and this one gets a macro lens. Finally, there's a 2-megapixel depth sensor with F/2.4 aperture. For the selfie camera, Note 9 Pro gets a 16megapixel sensor with F/2.5 aperture. As we might expect, Portrait mode images are specialized from this phone. and therefore the new Movie mode, which lets us capture 21:9 portrait mode images, with black bars at the highest and bottom, makes these images look amazing. In low or artificial light, there's tons of noise and therefore the images don’t hold on to any details. there's an evening mode, but that doesn’t help tons either in these low light situations. I don’t think anyone is going to be even remotely satisfied with the Note 9 Pro’s low light performance. It does makeup by shooting crispy electronically stabilized 1080p videos at 30fps. It can shoot4k 30fps videos also, but those ones aren't stabilized, and are a touch over-saturated for my liking. Although the cameras are decent in day time. I feel at this price, there are a couple of better options within the market, especially for low light photography. So if the camera is that the main deciding factor for you, I just won’t suggest you to urge this phone. Spend a touch extra and obtain the POCO X2 or maybe the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, but not this one. Moving on, Redmi has made bound to include all the required sensors starting with the Ambient light and proximity sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NavIC, IR sensor then on.

So you've got a good array of all the required sensors. Overall, I feel the Note 9 Pro hits the proper note with its internals, and therefore the build quality and style, and can give most of the typical users the graceful performance that you simply might expect. except for it's lacking in some parts, that might have made it the simplest budget Smartphone to hammer in the worth range, just like the Note8 Pro or the Note 7 Pro were once they came out. I feel the camera and therefore the GPU is holding this phone back. So I can’t suggest this phone to someone who likes to play tons of games or who likes to require tons of images.

If you like to take a lot of images, take a look at the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, and if you like to play games, turn towards the POCOX2. Sure that will cost more, but they will also give you an overall better experience. At this price point, the competition is tough, and Redmi is trying to get people to buy the Note 9 Pro Max for a higher price, and with their current ads situation, they are sort of losing their grip in this market. Sure their market share is growing, and they might be the number 1 budget smartphone brand in India, but the competition is closing in, and is ready to mop up, every unsatisfied customer that Redmi is leaving behind. Instead of launching the regular powerful Note 9 Pro, and then bringing in the Note 9 Pro Max with more added features on top. Redmi decided to make the Note 9 Pro Max their new favourite, and diluted the features on the Note 9 Pro in this process. By doing this, I think they have watered down the Note Pro series phones and this move might just not go very well for them in the long run. So now who should be looking to get this phone? If you just can’t stretch your budget beyond 14K, or if you just want to use the basic features on your phone, then go for it. Big display is amazing for consuming content, the huge battery keeps it powered for more than a day, dual VOLTE means you are always connected, and the headphone jack lets you listen to your favourites music in isolation. And for all these things, the Note 9 Pro is an amazing phone. But if you do anything more than playing casual games, or taking a lot of images, especially in lower light, you should look elsewhere. Yes, we have a lot of budget phones these days in the 20000rs price range from Realme, Poco and Redmi and the other thing in this range is Redmi and 9 pro max, Not only does this device look like a premium but it also has some features that have some practical use case, for example, a battery that lasts for 2 days in a single charge.

Starting with the design as well as other devices this device is great and this ad is 6.67 inches HD + LCD protected by gorilla glass 5 with this hole punch camera on the top which is not too disturbing, either watching a movie or playing time -pubg. I got used to it quickly and didn't notice it after a while, I even got cool punch hole wallpapers to add something fun to my device and unlike other devices like Realme 6 pro and POCO X2 this one doesn't have a crazy high refresh rate and the display is a standard panel 60hz which is an old school. And I'm usually happy with this ad the colours look sharp, bright and realistic in life but I wish it was at least an AMOLED display and the brightness should have gone up a bit if it wasn't 120hz or other good stuff. these high refresh rates are very good, after using the POCO X2 for a while I can say that the high regeneration rate is addictive and the device feels very simple but the obstacles to this cover the benefits, firstly not many apps still support up to date as soon as possible I know that people buy budget phones because of features like a large battery backup and good cameras and not a refreshing dose that kills the battery in half a day. So keep that in mind.

Also, this one does not have stereo speakers as can be seen with this large grill at the top but with a physically led notification lost even on the POCO X2, led by a short white colour but is visible and hidden at the same time and you will enjoy having it. So you also have a headphone jack on this and it helps to have it in case the battery of your Blux device runs out. And you have a USB type c port next to it that can charge this device at whopping33watts and that's your favourite thing. As required by Xiaomi it charges the phone for about 1h 10 minutes and is powered by this huge 5000MAH battery which is one of the best features of this device and this photo charging has also changed after the April update.

And the frame on this device is made of plastic and not a metal that does not last long but will hold just right and the device weighs 209gms but the weight distribution is well done. You also have 2 microphones as usual and this high-performance IR blast works. And I think another great thing you have with this is that we have a dedicated SD card slot, so you can use 2 Sims cards and Micro SD cards. if you are still using that and the quality of driving in this one is also good, there are no disconnected calls with my original Sims and it has voice over WIJI SIM SIM and other networks. On the side it has rocking rockers but I wish it were soft and that is completely deviant. And underneath that, you have your power button and fingerprint scanner and I'm thinking of placement the fingerprint scanner on the power buttons is advanced as you don't even need to press a button to turn on the phone and that's a small thing to do, but you can also change that in settings. And this fingerprint scanner works fast and accurate and always unlocks the device but a few minutes delay to unlock the phone and I think it can be easily fixed with a software update. So there are no problems there. And one thing I really like is the screen protector on this one.

Now working properly this one is powered by a snapdragon 720g processor which is the latest 8nm processor by QUALCOMM, and has very fast UFS 2.1 storage compared to the memc used on the previous budget phone, and this is also a 6GB ram and - 128 GB of storage and you can save some of your money by going through the 64 GB variety and this device is powered by miui 11 based on Android 10 and I am satisfied with the way this device works every day. situations and can easily handle whatever you throw at it. I didn't get any glitches or anything and I was able to disable many ads and remove bloatware in miui 11 but I like some of the features that are available and create a great experience like this turbo game mode that adds a lot of useful features while playing, three fingerprints, forced black mode etc. And the performance of the game in this is better than I expected and games like pubg go well in Ultra settings and I got a frame rate of 60fps continuously thanks as even a tool like PoCO F2 gets about 40-45 fps which is really bad as it also has this cool winner.

Another highlight is the quad-camera setup on this device, so it has 4 rear cameras and one punch camera on the front. So the main camera is a 64 megapixel Samsung GW 1sensor the second camera is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, the third is a 5-megapixel macro and the 4th one is a 2-megapixel deep sensor that no one has ever asked for. The front camera is a 32-megapixel wide-angle camera, so this rear camera is able to take some very good detailed pictures and look sharp day and night and also has this 64-megapixel mode to take. images of high resolution and do not make much difference but sometimes the details we take are more than auto mode, otherwise, the widest camera is fine and with a click of something in the light of day but not so good any challenging situation and so on that big camera and here are the samples. So the end result from this camera is very close to the real one and the pictures are realistic in colour and very sharp with many details. The 64-mega pixel sensor has been able to store a lot of details but sometimes sharpens images.

Introduction

The Motorola One Fusion + looks like a lovely phone with a rich feature set. One Fusion + is Moto's second phone with a flawless screen thanks to a pop-up selfie, and is trying to give a big bang for its € 299 price. Its HDR10 screen, uninterrupted at the time, is perfect for movies and games. Then there is the powerful Snapdragon 730 chip - one of the best options for the midrange category.

There is more. Fusion + packs a quad-standard camera on its back - standard, ultrawide, macro, and depth - but offers a variety of shooting options, including Night Vision.

Then there is the huge 5,000 mAh battery which should last at least two days by Moto rating. We'll see about this a little bit, you bet.

One Fusion + clean boots OS 10 clean, but not part of the Android One distribution. It's the purest version of Google with a host of unknown Moto add-ons here and there, including dedicated Mode and a standby screen.

Like many other Motorola budget phones, it also packs this waterproof nano-coating, which provides a basic ban on cheating between the phone's cast and its ports. This is far from water and is like peace of mind, but it can save your Moto once or twice in an accident. And we can all do it inevitably. And in case you were wondering about the typical One Fusion model - you probably never heard of it. The standard (and cheaper) version is limited to Latin America and the Middle East, and Motorola has not participated in any of the wide-release plans.

Design, Making, Operating

The Motorola One Fusion + is a well-designed phone with invisible paint and a screen with no holes. As it is a budget device a few cuts have to be made along the way, but it is all together in the end. The front is entirely Gorilla Glass, and the rear is a single plastic one. Of course, there is no standing frame, the back panel covers both sides of the fence and its back. We have the Twilight Blue version in that it has two different shades of dark blue mix, and an S-like surface texture below.

Unfortunately, while all these layers of paint and plastic look good, the back is a digital fingerprint, and everything will deteriorate very quickly. The combined case is helpful, even if it removes the cool look. It is a difficult decision. So, the star of the show is definitely a 6.5 ′ ′ screen, named after Total Vision. It is the second Moto image so far with a free design and the name really deserves it.

The selfie camera is housed in a pop-up module with engines on top of Fusion + so there was no need for a pixel pile.

The good news is that this is really the best way to get a more focused viewing experience. But if you’re expecting a screen below the bezel, you might be disappointed - One Fusion + has a noticeably large chin under the display. Low-density bezels are common in the midrange, especially when the panel is a single LCD as it can be as small as OLED and requires more space, while its driver is often hidden under a pointed chin.

However, for the € 299 phone, this is probably the most premium screen you can get with high resolution, HDR10 support, and cutting that, so we welcome that bezel. In fact, we think it would be better to have it when using the phone with one hand. The pop-up module is the same as all the other add-ons we have come across - with the engine and you can hear the underlying equipment as it goes up or down.

It has a 16MP Quad-Bayer selfie camera and nothing more. Module pops only when needed and installed fall detection and appears automatically if you get One Fusion + free-kick.

There is one very small earring at the top of the screen, which is almost invisible. Unfortunately, Motorola has chosen not to include the LED notification light in Fusion +. As we mentioned above, the phone has about 1cm sides, but the outer frame is part of the back panel - something we used to like to be empty in the past.

Good touch, even if done as part of a cost cut. On the sides of the panel, you will find all the buttons, a 3.5mm jack and a USB-C port, there is also a hybrid-SIM tray at the top, and a speaker at the bottom. Fusion + puts Google's Computer Assistant key over its volume and does just that - pleads Helper. We were unable to enable its operation. The plastic One of the Motorola One Fusion + is beautiful, there are no two ways to it. The two blue hues change gracefully, and the subtle texture made by S looks really nice nearby. If you want to keep this beauty, regular cleaning should be like a fingerprint of love and an overdose.

The quad-camera shows just a little bit and is made in the form of a 3 + 1. A single-LED flash is all around us, too. One Fusion + has its own back scanner and the Moto logo is painted all over. It is always of the same type and works seamlessly.

The Motorola One Fusion + measures 162.9 x 76.4 x 9.6 mm and weighs 210g. That’s not a sleek, or light 6.5-inches, but what we would expect from a phone with a large 5,000mAh battery. And when we used it we felt it was strong, but not shorter or softer than expected. The Motorola One Fusion + felt hand in hand, guilty or not, safe and strong, and we loved the time we spent with Motor. It is a highly constructed wire and its non-slip water retention adds an extra dimension to its shape. It’s a great call, and if you have a good heart with that, you’ll love it as easy as we did.

Layout

The Motorola One Fusion + packs an IPS LCD 6.5 ′ ′ screen in 1080p with 20: 9 features. The panel has no cutouts or anything, and is protected by a Gorilla Glass clip, an unspecified update. The Total Vision screen, as Motorola calls it, is 396ppi sharp. It supports HDR10 and thanks to Widevine L1 DRM, you will be able to enjoy high-quality HDR10 content from Netflix and popular. We measured maximum brightness when 454 nits in manual mode, and 562 nits in auto mode. That’s almost in the middle of the LCD, and we’ve seen the panels brighter. Still, we had no problems even on very light days.

The dark levels of the One Fusion + screen come out well, and, and generally, the panel offers an excellent measurement of about 1400: 1. The minimum light to the left of the bar is 6.2 nits - good. Colour reproduction is always good in One Fusion +. Saturday's default mode has a DeltaE rating of 4.3 compared to the DCI-P3 limits, and we naturally rated DeltaE 2.0 directly in terms of sRGB.

Battery Life and Charging

The Motorola One Fusion + puts a massive 5,000 mAh battery, which should last more than two days for normal use according to Motorola claims. The phone supports TurboPower fast charging and the 18W charger supplied also includes about 30% of lost battery in 30mins. Note that Motorola claims that the phone is charging at 15W, which means that the adapter you receive comes in excess to get the job done.

Unexpectedly, the One Fusion + turned out to be the best maker in our battery test with an endurance rating of 136 hours. It did a great job in all the tested situations - video, calls, web browsing and stand-alone functionality.

Speaker Test

The Motorola One Fusion + has a single speaker that shoots down the fence. Don't cry too much, and get 'Good' points from our test. One Fusion + also offers equal audio output with a good presentation of bass, mids, and highs.

The Motorola One Fusion + has excellent audio quality.

Android 10 with my UX

Motorola has gained a lot from Android stocks on its smartphones, even those that are not part of the Android One app - like the One Fusion + here. However, there is a wide range of custom features that are well integrated into the Moto App. Car Actions is a smartphone communication system - including a karate chop for turning on or off, twisting to move the camera app, action of fingerprint sound, accelerometer silencing accelerometer.

The Moto Display has one-way single in One Fusion + - Peek Display - a non-existent display. It will display notifications and allow you to interact with them right there on the lock screen and will alert you when you select your phone. The directional display, a feature found on some Car phones, is not in Fusion + because the selfies camera is hidden and cannot track your face all the time.

There is a new custom feature that lets you customize the look and feel of your Moto. You can play the size and shape of the icons on the home screen, change the system font, and choose a colour to highlight quick toggles. Moto Game Time is a set of company mobile game development tools. Allows you to filter calls and notifications, block Fire Actions, performance section allows you to turn off active brightness. The floating game floating icon in Toolkit gives you instant toggles for calls and notifications, access to your choice of dual messaging apps and access to full game time settings.

The Motorola One Fusion + relies on touch detection with one long long button in the middle. Swipe upwards to take you to the home screen, the edge swipe pops up the latest apps menu, with a tablet swipe (left or right) to switch between last used apps. If you want Back, just swipe anywhere from the edge of the screen. If, on the other hand, you want to have three ancient button navigation, you switch to it from the settings. All this aside, the rest is as good as Android 10 as Google intended it to be. The Motorola One Fusion + also supports FM radio and there is a pre-installed app for that. You don’t see it every day, not least.

Performance and Benchmarks

The Motorola One Fusion + is powered by the Snapdragon 730 chip - one of the most popular midrange platforms from Qualcomm. The Indian version of Fusion + works on the Snapdragon 730G chip, which has a slightly different GPU clock but in a different way - similar to the 730.

Both 730 and 730G CPUs are the same - octa-core processors with two Kryo 470 Gold (Cortex-A76) processors built at 2.2 GHz, and six Kryo 470 silver (Cortex-A55), operating at 1.8 GHz. They are all built-in an 8nm LPP area and that is why the power works so well.

Both chips also have the same Adreno 618 GPU. But one in the 730G clock is 75 MHz higher and stays at 575 MHz. This is the only difference between the two groups.

One Fusion + is sold in only one setting with 6GB RAM and 128GB UFS2.1 storage. We had a few benches, and the CPU moulded it as a very good player. The Kirin 810 processor is more powerful, but it's only available on the smallest Google phone now. The Snapdragon 720G counts the higher part, but has a higher clock speed (2.2GHz vs 2.3GHz). The same thing applies with graphics - Huawei beats it all, but Google is stepping in. After that the Adreno 618 inside the Snapdragon 720G (Redmi Note 9 Pro) is a bit better than the Adreno 616 as part of the Moto's S730 chip.

However, GPU performance is sufficient in the classroom. Throwing all the ingredients together in Antutu, One Fusion + is in line for Realme 6 Pro and Redmi K30. Once again, Huawei's Kirin 810 proves to be superior, while the S720G-powered Redmi Note 9 Pro offers fire with fodder.

The Motorola One Fusion + offers many bangs for its attractive price and shows solid numbers every time it tests, no matter the functions. In the end, the sharpest challenge - to play - doesn't just happen in Fusion +, but it's a good thing.

Quad Camera with Macro and Deep Snappers

The Motorola One Fusion + has a quad-rear camera with three snappers and 2MP deep sensors. There is a 64MP main scanner, an 8MP ultrawide spray, and a 5MP macro image. One LED flash is nearby, if you need it. The main camera uses a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Plus GW1 1 / 1.72 "sensor with 0.8µm pixels and f / 1.8. The autofocus detection section is supported.

The ultrawide camera uses an 8MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K4H4 1 / 4.0 "sensor with 1.12µm pixels behind the f / 2.2 lens. Focus is optimized. with 1.12µm pixels. Supports autofocus between 4cm and 10cm. This camera can capture 720p videos. The deep camera has a 2MP OmniVision OV2180 sensor. The pop-up selfie camera offers a 16MP OmniVision OV16A1Q 1 / 3.06 "sensor with 1.0µm pixels and a Quad-Bayer filter. Bayer module, selfie cam takes 4MP photos automatically, but this one can be set to 16MP shooting output if necessary.

Motorola has been installing its own custom Camera program on the best-selling Android software, and so has One Fusion + as well. It is straightforward and works with a swipe action switch between stills, video, and enhanced modes (tapping on thumbnails also works). A quick set of settings is available in HDR viewer (Auto / On / Off), Flash modes (Auto / Off), self-timer (Off / 3s / 10s) and active photos (Auto / On / Off). There is also a shortcut in the settings menu in the view. Night Vision Camera and Macro camera can be found within the Modes selection. Manual mode is accessible from other changes in the viewing screen - not additional modes. Allows you to drive on your ISO (100-3200), shutter speed (1 / 6000s-1 / 3s), or exposure compensation (2EV to + 2EV to 1 / 3EV and 0.5EV upside), and selecting a white balance with a light temperature (marking normal types of light), and you can manually change the direction - all is normal.

Image Quality

The main camera saves 16MP automatically and the one we took during the day went well, especially at this budget stage. The pictures have a very nice contrast and a strong range, and are true with the colours of life. No visible noise. Sharpening is one of the most aggressive choices we can make, but it does not harm the overall quality. We shot pictures with Auto HDR as intended by Motorola. And it causes all the time during the day. It tightens the strongest range, too - it also removes noise. There may be several loss of detail due to HDR, but it is not visible, and we suggest leaving the HDR setting to Auto. There is a high resolution of 64MP and it does a very good job. 64MP images look like a real auction with special details, great contrast and colours. They can’t be achieved with Auto HDR, so their range is huge not as great as the default images. Note that shooting at 64MP takes a few seconds and one image weighs about 30MB.

The Fusion + has an 8MP ultrawide camera and its images increase by 16MP when stored. And they are far from good - the details are very bad. The images fit perfectly inside because of the 13mm lens, their contrast and colours are very good, as there is a strong width, but these images will not go further.

The 5MP macro cam has a dedicated shooting mode, and is very focused on the themes. The photos don’t go over in detail or separately, but they’re great. We offer Motorola points to make macro mode easier by giving this camera autofocus capabilities - a few donors.

2MP depth sensor comes in handy when shooting graphics. 16MP graphics taken with a large camera go well - lots of detail, great contrast, and subject separation is enough for this class. Mental-blurring looks good, too. If Auto HDR decides not to rip, you will get images that are not very good. We recommend leaving Auto HDR on a regular basis - as intended by Motorola.

Night Vision is available on the One Fusion + main camera and does a great job of making the night image brighter, colourful and contrasting. It comes with a lot of detail in the most beautiful images and shadows, and makes for a picture of a blossoming night, with a twist of certain details and sharp. Ultrawide photography is no worse than any other similar night camera, but the up to 16MP makes them look bad. You can see what's in the pictures, either 16MP or 8MP. We doubt that anyone will be using this camera under extreme conditions.

Selfies

The Motorola One Fusion + selfie camera is in the pop-up module with the engine and pops up every time you switch to selfie mode. The snapper has a 16MP Quad-Bayer shooter behind the f / 2.2 lens centred lens. It saves 4MP photos automatically, as it should, but if you want - you can set it to save 16MP enhanced images instead. 4MP images display beautiful details, colours and contrast. Powerful distance is limited, but Auto HDR helps to extend that much. Photos are possible with a selfie camera and are not bad - subject separation is not perfect but mask algorithm is blurred and the results are acceptable. We've seen the best, but we've also seen the worst.

Video Recording

The Motorola One Fusion + records 4K @ 30fps videos and 1080p @ 30 / 60fps videos with its main camera, while the ultrawide and macro snappers are limited to 1080p @ 30fps clips. 4K exposure from the main camera has good resolution details, even if we were expecting more of the video embedded at 50Mbps video bitrate. The colours are well filled and the contrast is good. A strong distance can be they were high, but not bad either. 1080p clips shot at 30fps are great across the board - details, contrast, colours. They are not excessively sharp, while the dynamic range is limited.

After that Full HD videos at 60fps from the main camera are not very poor in detail and the processing tries to hide this with excessive pressure. You should stay away from this mode. The 1080p clips from the ultrawide camera are very soft, but otherwise very good. You can use electronic stabilization in any camera and in any mode, or it could only work in 1080p @ 30fps mode on the main camera. Maybe a software update will fix that.

Wind-up

The Motorola One Fusion + joins a wide range of attractive budget offerings. A mid-range phone, with some high-tier components, and yet - one is quite cheap. Really, it provides your big belt and you won’t be disappointed in the event you get it.

One Fusion + has a lot to offer - the HDR10 notch screen is still a plethora of visuals, and many will love it just because maybe not for romantic lovers, but still. Then there are its snappy hardware and a large battery that will allow for long playing sessions, or days of normal use.

The camera was amazingly beautiful, day and night, and it works in many ways enough to compel you to take creative photos. The ultrawide camera needs some upgrades and you definitely hope Motorola will get it out in the end.

Lastly, a clean and fast Android 10 with Moto enhancements will be a delight to use for Android cleaners. Renewals are often done on Moto phones, so that's another bonus. Of course, there are a lot of cool offers, so let’s take a look at a few.

Alternatives

The Motorola One Fusion + costs € 299 in Europe and comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Realme sells 8GB + 128GB Realme 6 for the same price and its exciting offers with a 90Hz screen, the same input power, and the same quad-camera. The Realme 6 beats the Moto with a larger upgrade rate, faster charging, and a better ultrawide camera, but the One Fusion + has a free HDR10 screen, better battery life, and a bigger speaker.

Then there is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. Its 6GB + 128GB model is cheap at around € 40 per Moto, while compatible with Moto’s speed and camera capabilities, its screen has punch-holes and its MIUI is anti-vanilla Android. If you are OLEDs, then the Samsung Galaxy A51 is a good alternative. It has a 6.5 inches Super AMOLED with a small punch-hole, great playback capabilities and a uniform camera design. Its battery life is very low, but there is no water protection, and the screen does not support HDR10.

Finally, if you can travel without Google services, the Huawei P40 Lite would be a good choice. The Kirin 810 is a medium-sized and excellent gaming console, its quad-camera camera for the same setting is good in quality, and the battery life and charging speed are unique. The good news is that the P40 Lite is about € 100 cheaper than the moto. It remains to be seen if that is how important Google stuff is to you.

The Decision

The Motorola One Fusion + is among the best phones you can buy cheap. It has an excellent immersive screen, excellent game performance on the go, smart camera flexibility, and amazing battery autonomy. That’s why it’s really easy with One Fusion +. If your budget is around € 300, it should be at the top of your shortlist.

Vivo X50 Pro Plus Review

The Vivo X50 Pro Plus is the high-rise end from the X50 series.

Vivo

Chinese phone maker Vivo recently unveiled its X50 series, marking the official launch of its first international citizenship this year. Vivo, one of the top 10 phone manufacturers by sharing the market despite the unknown in the West, advertises its latest phone as "professional photography." Introducing the gimbal camera system in the series, which is being sold outside of China for the first time.

There are three phones on the list, the X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro Plus. The X50 Pro has a cutting processor that contains Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (as seen on the Galaxy S20, among others), while the X50 and Pro both have Snapdragon 765G CPUs. But while the X50 Pro has a slower processor, it also has a gimbal. Vivo has said it has chosen to add a gimbal to the Pro, rather than the more expensive Pro Plus, to make the feature more accessible.

The company claims that the X50 Pro system has a 300% increase in the performance of traditional robust technology. That’s thanks in part to that gimbal, which uses “double ball construction to achieve triple-axis rotation,” effectively allowing the camera to locate the inside of the fence.

Vivo

While the X50 only has a gimbal with hyped-up, all three devices support 5G. All three phones have the same 6.56-inch display, too. But there is another important difference: the processors these phones work on. The X50 Pro Plus gets an excellent CPU, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, while the Pro and X50 both run on the Snapdragon 765G.

Vivo says it currently has no plans to disconnect the phone in the US. But X50 phones will be released in parts of Asia, Africa and Europe in the next three months, so it will be easier to import.

Price details are not yet shared, but costs will vary from country to country. In China the X50 Pro starts at 4,298 yuan, which translates to $ 610 (about $ 490 or AU $ 880), while in India it starts at 49,990 rupees or about $ 660. As always, you can expect higher price tags in Western countries. For more details on the specs, scroll down to the chart below, which compares all three phones.

X50 Pro cameras in depth

The X50 Pro's rear camera system is pushed by a 48-megapixel main camera, which anticipate on a gimbal-like camera system and image stabilization and electronic image stabilization technology. When I first tried it out, I likened it to a one-generation iPhone XS Max while running during the day, but I didn't see much difference between the two phones, nor did I install cameras. Both phones capture stable footage without obvious impairment. The difference was noticeable, however, when I handled the video while working and in the dark.

When using ultra-solid or anti-shake mode, the Vivo X50 Pro technology for video durability is identified by note. That’s when the difference between the iPhone XS Max was most noticeable. The footage I captured was smooth and dull without stitching. Even when I was shooting with my innocent hand, which usually produces shakier videos, the footage was unusually smooth. There is a trade-off anyway: Couldn't capture more details on distant topics. From what I have collected so far, the Ultra-solid solid mode is like a great shooting tool that stays close.

In general, the X50 Pro has made it easy to take crisp, precise and healthy photos and capture my amazing location. I would have to spend more time on the phone, but so far I have noticed that in some lighting conditions - at sunset for example - the pictures were full and nailed to the top. The iPhone XS Max took pictures that were real-life, by comparison. Any photo you like maybe a matter of personal choice, but you can see the difference in the pictures below.

There are four cameras on the backside of the X50 Pro. In addition to the 48-megapixel main Shooter, you'll find a periscope zoom lens and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. There is also a 13-megapixel portrait telephoto snapper. I am looking forward to trying out the X50 Pro camera system with more depth.

The X50 Pro has a 60x zoom

The 8-megapixel periscope lens is one of three (three) side-by-side large 48-megapixel arrows in the Vivo X50 Pro. I was blown away by the power of Vivo X50’s 60x Hyper Zoom. Although the photos were short - 60x still very far, after all - they were able to get details that I could not see with my own eyes, including a sign at the hotel on the other side of the harbour in Hong Kong. I would like to compare you to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra’s 100x Space Zoom.

The Vivo Pro X50 Pro is in the distance. Using its 60x hyper zoom, I was able to zoom the sign to the hotel on the other side of the harbour. I could not see the sign with my naked eyes and did not know it was there until I got close to the phone.

In the few days I have used the phone, the battery life of the Vivo X50 Pro's 4,315-mah has been strong in the default settings. My daily work usually involves a few short calls, frequently using WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, checking emails, reading news apps and playing music on Spotify. I have also used social media, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I do not use my phone to get heavy games. The X50 Pro battery lasts easily all day long.

Using a 33-watt Vivo flash, I was able to charge the battery in 52 minutes. Good, but not as fast as Oppo's official Get the X2 Pro shows, charging its battery for 38 minutes. Surprisingly, however, it was when it recharged the dead battery by about 60% in 15 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Android Smartphone Full Review

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has 5G, 108-megapixel camera, four other cameras, a huge screen, a high refresh rate, a 1399 dollar starting price. The S20 Ultra goes big, I mean you recognize, literally big, check out the phone. and searching at it I feel one thing is blindingly obvious. Samsung seems like it's something to prove. the simplest word that I can come up with to explain the S20 Ultra is, imposing. it's an outsized and nearly as heavy as just about any phone that I even have ever used. Now the most reason this phone is as big because it is is in order that you'll have this screen which is 6.9 inches diagonally. and since this screen doesn't have a face unlock sensor thereon, it can cover nearly the whole front of the phone. Now I figured that I'd be annoyed at having to travel back to an in-screen fingerprint sensor rather than face unlock, but I wasn't. The sensor is fast and accurate enough. But the important reason I feel that this screen shows that Samsung has something to prove with the S20 Ultra, is that they finally added the choice to modify it to 120-hertz refresh rate. Now, it comes outta the box at 60 hertz to save lots of battery but I hopped into settings and turned it on directly and never looked back because I feel it's enough battery life to handle it. And 120 hertz does make scrolling and screen animations look better and smoother. Samsung even says that it stopped bothering with any variable refresh rate supported the content of the screen nonsense. It's just locked to 120. Oh, by the way, you cannot have both 120 hertz and therefore the phone's maximum 3200 by 1440 resolution. But, I feel the trade for 1080 by 2300 to urge 120 hertz is worthwhile. And in fact, the screen looks nice. Looks nice indoors, outdoors, at different angles along with HDR content. Samsung knows the way to do that by now, it's extremely good at it. And again, because it's nearly seven inches diagonally, it's good 'cause it's just huge. Samsung has already done the make the phone bigger than everybody else thing. That's not actually what the S20 Ultra is about. It's about being bigger in every way, not just size.

And there's no better place to start out talking about what meaning, than to only jump right into the most important number of all, the 108-megapixel camera. (relaxing music) So let's just get into it. If you count the depth sensor, there are five cameras on this phone. And three of them have just silly megapixel counts. The selfie camera is 40 megapixels. The telephoto is 48, the regular wide-angle is 108 megapixels. the sole camera that may not out of bounds megapixel wise is that the ultra-wide which is 12 megapixels. But the S20 goes further than that. So almost like what Huawei did on its phones, the zoom lens here actually hits a prism and a mirror and redirects the sunshine across the body of the phone into the sensor, sort of a periscope. It means the phone can get real optical zoom up to 4 X and something specialized up to 10 X. Then there's this thing that Samsung calls Space Zoom, which pushes the zoom bent 100 X. That's one among the explanations that Samsung went with a 48-megapixel camera on the telephoto, in order that it's more pixels to settle on from when it starts cropping in. It also does this thing where it takes multiple photos to assist get data from all the sensors to assist. So how does all that tech work? Well, I tested this zoom against the iPhone 11 Pro, and therefore the Pixel 4 XL, both of which have telephoto lenses. And for fun, I threw within the Sony RX100 VII. The Pixel 4 XL maxes at 8x zoom, so I just compared it at that level and that I used a tripod for all of those photos that you are looking at. I feel the RX100 wins, but you recognize, it is a standalone camera so in fact it's gonna. once you just check out the phones, the S20 Ultra embarrasses the iPhone, and that I think it edges out the Pixel 4 too. thus far so good, but what about this Space Zoom thing? Well, you'll impress your friends with little who moments by zooming into 100 X, but truthfully, I feel they appear like splotchy messes at that zoom level. I used to be ready to get some fairly nice stuff at 30 X, usually by propping the phone on something stable. But, it still seems like a phone photo to me. Well, Samsung is performing some weird tech stuff here too. So, by default, the 108-megapixel sensor makes 12-megapixel images because the hardware automatically combines nine pixels into one big pixel. it is a process called binning. And combined, those binned pixels are about as big as what they would've been on a lower megapixel sensor.

This does help this camera avoid some of the usual problems that you get with high megapixel sensors. Like bad low light, and noise. It mostly works. See, to make this entire pixel binning stuff happen, Samsung still has to do a lot in the software. Now, generally, I think the S20 wants to smooth out lighting especially on faces, it wants to keep things bright, and it wants to shift towards less red tones. And those are often really good instincts for photos. Samsung sometimes steers the S20's tuning just a little too far. So, compared to the iPhone, or the Pixel, this photo of me is just plain over smoothed and over brightened. It is super weird. As soon as the S20 camera sees a face, it brings up the shadows too much it smoothes skin too much, and it tries way too hard to adjust the white balance and often gets it wrong. Turn your head 45 degrees where it doesn't see a face, and it's fine. Turn on pro mode, and it's fine again. Turn on Bixby Scene Optimizer, and well, okay Bixby makes it worse, but still. In a lot of brightening conditions, I got nice pics of faces but in challenging conditions it got rough. Samsung tells me that it's looking into it, but there's no setting that you can change to change the default behaviour of what this thing does with faces. The weirdest part though, none of this applies to the selfie camera. Which is great. Now Samsung also lets you take full-on, 108 megapixel photos, and there's yet more camera tech involved in this like re mosaicing but the bottom line is you need a lot of light to get a decent photo at that resolution. And even then, my 108-megapixel photos were noisy enough in the fine details when I cropped in, that I never really saw the point. Now, when it comes to low light photos, Samsung is doing better than it ever has, partly because the sensors are so big here. But it still has a lot of work to do to catch up to the Pixel 4. And on portrait, again, better than it ever has, but it still has a lot of work to do to catch up to the iPhone. The selfie camera though, which is 40 megapixels, is my favourite camera on this entire phone. It doesn't do the same bad over smoothing on faces, I just really like it.

Now as for video, the headline feature is that you can shoot and edit in 8K, and I don’t know, I think that's kind of gimmicky but I do like that you can pull a still photo out. More important to me is the slightly improved video stabilization because I have pretty shaky hands, but you should know that still doesn't work in 4K and not in 8K. Especially when I was shooting video. I also really like this new feature called single take which does as many of Samsung's weirdo camera modes as possible in one long shot. It's fun, but I wouldn't depend on it for anything important 'cause the quality is like, not that good. So, that's a lot. It's a lot of camera which makes sense because this camera bump is so huge right? I mean, okay. Where do I think it all lands? Well, I think Samsung has a little bit more work to do on its photo algorithms. I think it's going to take a minute for them to learn how to take all of these huge megapixel counts and turn them into something that works in every single context.

Now the S20 phones are the very first mainstream 5G phones. There have been a few before, but they have never been the default and with the S20 line they are. Now you should know that only the S20 Ultra and the S20 Plus support the super high-speed millimetre wave-5G that you can only get at like a few street corners. But, all of them support the slightly slower, but much more widespread mid-band 5G. On T-Mobile's mid-band, I was able to pull anywhere from like 45 down, which is not much faster than LTE, up to 120 megs per second in a pretty good spot. That's fast. But it's not as fast as what I could get on Verizon's millimetre wave, where I saw download speeds hit over 1300 Mbps. Which is incredible? I got that on one street corner, if I held my phone right, and I didn't turn my body around. And I didn't walk half a block away. And if I was lucky because sometimes it would drop down to LTE anyway in that spot. Samsung always boasts the best possible specs for an Android phone on the Galaxy S line, and this year is no different.

The Snapdragon 865 processor, which is fast but it's not in a way that I think people are going to notice over the 855. It has 5000 milliamps battery here, which is huge and has let me run a full day with very heavy use. I have done it several times now. 5G might bring that battery life down a tick, but I was clearing six hours of screen time with 120hertz refresh rate turned on. The RAM matters too, you get 12 or 16 gigs of RAM depending on which model you buy and that means that apps close less often in the background and you can even pin apps to memory which means that Android won't be able to close them in the background. This might seem like a weird power user feature, but let's be honest this is a weird power-user phone. Samsung is also sticking to its guns by offering expandable storage and it's not keeping the headphone jack. And it is okay to be sad about that, don't let anybody tell you different. The other side of performance is software, and for the most part, Samsung is doing a solid job with One UI on top of Android 10. I still like it, but Samsung is starting to Samsung it up a little bit with feature creep. Everything that it's ever made is still here, and too much of it is sitting in the settings tray and it's ready to confuse you.

There's Quick Share, which is like AirDrop but only for Galaxy phones. There's Link Share, which lets you throw stuff online for a private link for people to download for a day or two. There's Music Share, which let's other people with Galaxy phones play their music on the Bluetooth device that's paired to your Galaxy phone. But it's not as weird as Samsung Daily which sits next to the home screen and just doesn't offer useful cards for anything. Or, as weird as Bixby which sits under a long press of the power button and it's still just Bixby. Overall, the experience on the S20 Ultra is quite good, but it takes a day or two of dismissing prompts and turning off stuff that you don't want. Which is super annoying. So, Galaxy S20 Ultra. Did Samsung prove that it could make the best screen on a smartphone? Yes, it did. Did Samsung show that it could make 5G a dominant feature for phones? Well, yes it did but that doesn't mean that your city or your carrier has it. Did Samsung prove that it could throw every single performance spec possible into a single phone? I mean, it did. This is Samsung. It also proved though that it's starting to lose it's restraint a little bit on software. But the biggest thing that Samsung had to prove is that it could stay in the camera fight and do so with big megapixel sensors and zoom. And I think on zoom, Samsung has proved that its hardware can beat Google and Apple at around 8x, but it's not magic enough to get something great beyond that. I'm more worried about how the camera treats faces though, because I think Samsung is still Samsung in' up a little bit too much there. Mostly though, Samsung proved that when it wants to it can still go all out with the phone. I mean, they did call this the Ultra, which is another way of saying a lot. And yeah, this phone is a lot. Samsung Galaxy M31 comes with a Super AMOLED panel. It’s brightness peaks to 547 nits, And it’s arguably one of the best in the segment, after all this is what Samsung does so well. Next, when it comes to design, The Galaxy M31has an Elegant looking design, not too flashy nor fancy, it just looks elegant which some people might like. It does attract fingerprints & amp; unfortunately, they did not even include a case in the box. Another point that is worth mentioning is that the weight of the phone is impressive because it has a 6000mah battery. And a few things I do not like are, I am not a fan of this oval-shaped fingerprint scanner, yet they continue to put the same thing after so many iterations.

Speaking of fingerprint scanner, It is quick in unlocking the phone and even the face unlock is quick and it does unlock immediately in pitch dark conditions as well which is impressive. But I would recommend to use the fingerprint scanner because it is more secure. The most impressive part of Samsung Next when it comes to Performance, the impressive aspect is its memory management. Memory management is excellent. Usually, memory management on Samsung phones is not that great especially when you compare it with other phones in this segment but this time they improved it. They made a great choice by including 6GB RAM for the base variant.

When it comes to the gaming part it is not the best in this segment. When it comes to battery life, this is Samsung Galaxy M31’s USP, no other phone in this segment offers this level of battery performance. It lasted me for 2 days and I think the only way you can kill the battery in a day is probably by playing Pubg all day. The provided charger takes 2 hours 40 minutes to charge the phone from 15-100%, which is probably the only disadvantage of having such a huge battery.

Now let’s talk cameras, The low light selfie is good, it has got a good amount of detail barring some softening in certain areas like the forehead, apart from that it’s a pretty good low light selfie. Moving to the Daylight selfie they’re really good, especially the wide-angle selfie has no exposure issues whereas if you look at the standard selfie the sky in the background is a little overexposed. Rant starting in 3,2,1. But with portrait selfie you’ll get an average image as there’s no HD selfie available and this is the problem because even if the HD selfie is available for standard selfie, it’s not the default option, I mean you can switch to it, but why does Samsung want its users to take average selfies. I know it just takes a swipe to switch to higher resolution selfie but why not put that as default. Let’s be honest, Whoever from the Samsung’s team decided okay let’s go with it has probably no clue what he is doing. The reason why I am ranting about this is because there are so many people who have complained that an entry-level Smartphone takes better selfies than the M31, seriously go read the reviews. Moving to the rear camera under low lighting conditions, there is noise even in the highlights, I mean I understand if there’s noise in the shadows but there’s noise even where there is ample amount of light. And this applies with the shots taken in night mode as well. So yeah the M31 is absolutely struggling in low light scenarios. But in daylight, this is where the GalaxyM31 shines, the colours are vibrant and sometimes look boosted to my liking, I personally like natural-looking images. Pictures taken Indoors is the same as well, this buddha picture is beautiful and it’s really sharp, very impressed with how it turned out. This is a wide-angle image and It’s wide enough and on par with most phones in this segment. When it comes to 64MP image, the only issue I found is, it doesn’t have great dynamic range, especially for this sunset image,

Moving to macro shots, It’s just terrible 😒 Is there any other way I could describe it. Here’s a comparison with Redmi Note 8 Pro that was launched in 2019. As you can clearly notice that I am not very close to the subject as well. Yet the M31 is absolutely struggling.

Next, let’s talk about the video capabilities of the M31. As you can see the video looks Beautiful and It also can shoot in 4K, which many phones do not. Moving to the video from the rear camera, the 1080p footage is too stable. I don’t know for me it felt like the footage is too stable and I’m probably the only one who’s complaining that a video is too stable.

So who should be buying the Samsung GalaxyM31? Well, let’s see, Do you want a Gaming phone? Then M31 is not the phone for you. Do you want a camera-centric phone? Then the M31 is not a great option. Do you want a great display? Then yes the M31 is arguably the best option in this segment. Do you want a phone with great battery life? In that case, no other phone is better than the M31. But what’s the point of having great battery life when the phone is average at doing everything else? You can probably have great entertainment experience thanks to the Super AMOLED display & Huge battery. But apart from that theM31 is mostly average in all other departments. But if you want a phone that is the best value for your money, then Poco X2 and Realme X2 are two of the best phones in the mid-range segment. Thank You.😀😀😀😀

POCO X2 Android Smartphone Full Review

Here is my take on the POCO X2 after using it for 3 months. it also gives the Smartphone some time to mature. By that time some of the early bugs are ironed out with software updates, and it also gives us a fairly good idea of how the hardware is going to hold up over time. Before getting started, let us gets a few things straight, this is not the successor of the POCO F1. It did come out almost 18 months after the POCO F1, but it doesn’t come with flagship specs. If we are being honest, it not even a POCO phone, to begin with. It is, in fact, a re-branded Redmi K30. But being re-branded doesn’t take away what it actually offers.

So what does the POCO X2 offer? A 6.67inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 730G processor, 64 megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor as its primary camera, a 4500mAhbattery, and Glass sandwich design, at a starting price of Rs.16,999. This is the new price after the recent hike in GST rates by the Indian Government. I got this phone on the launch day at Rs.15, 999, but even at its new price of Rs.16, 999, POCO X2 offers you a lot of value for your money. Well now that you know I like this phone.

Let us start with the design and build quality. To begin with, it is a huge Smartphone with a 6.67-inch display and it has gorilla glass 5 at the front and back. So design-wise, it is already a huge leap over the plastic back of the POCO F1. I was never too fond of the plastic back on the F1, so big thumbs up to POCO for putting the glass back on the X2. It makes it feel so much more premium for its price. I have said that it is a big phone, but how big exactly is? Here is a size comparison with the iPhone11 Pro Max which is the biggest of all the iPhones Apple launched last year; this should give you some idea of the scale. While this size means we do get a big display and more room inside the device for a bigger battery. But I still think phones with 6 or 6.2-inch displays are the right size for most people hands. It does get a slight curve to the back, which makes it a bit easier to hold, but for my average-sized hands, it is definitely a 2handed Smartphone. Now the frame where you actually hold the phone looks like anodized aluminium, but it is in fact made of polycarbonate or plastic. The chases inside the phone are aluminium, but this frame is Plastic. We get Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the front and back, and in my experience, it is surprisingly resilient against scratches. On some of the other phones with gorilla glass5, I have seen a few micro scratches show up with time, but not on the POCO X2. At the back, the camera module is surrounded by this circular optical illusion, which looks like a dome or a carved sphere from certain angles. It is a nice design choice to separate the POCO X2 from all other glass back phones. These Cameras stick out quite a bit, and the phone does rattle a bit if you place it on the table, but only if you tap on top left or right corner. But when a phone is placed on a table, you are more likely to tap on the bottom part, and while doing so, it doesn’t rattle. If you want it to stay flat, just put the case that comes in the box. It protects the camera hump, and has a lip at the front to keep the display raised and protected. This case also helps the back from gathering fingerprints, so most of the time; I used my phone with it. At 208 grams, it is not exactly on the lighter side, but the weight is distributed very well throughout the phone, so it doesn’t feel top or bottom-heavy. It sports a P2i nano-coating, which means it is splash resistant and can withstand some light drizzle, but don’t use it in heavy rain or don’t take it for a swim, because it is not completely waterproof, and any kind of water damage is not covered under warranty.

The most marketed feature of the POCO X2 is the Reality Flow 120Hz high refresh rate display. It is an IPS LCD panel, and it supports HDR10 playback. Although it is an LCD panel and not an OLED one, it does manage to reproduce very accurate colour and wide viewing angles. While it is not the brightest LCD display, it gets bright enough to be easily viewable in outdoor lighting conditions. The highlighting feature here is the higher120Hz refresh rate. This makes the phone feel so much smoother and faster. Now I have shown it to a few of my friends and there were mixed reactions. Some of them noticed the difference right away, and others didn’t even feel that it is anything different, even when I switched it from 60 to 120Hz in front of them. I for one can tell the difference between60 and 120Hz, and I am glad that companies are pushing this tech out to sub Rs.20, 000 Smartphone. If you don’t like this mode or if you want to prolong the battery life, you can switch back to 60Hz. It’s a huge display, so it is great for playing games and consuming media. There are dual punch hole style cutouts because there are 2 front-facing cameras on this phone. Through software, POCO makes it look like it is a single pill-shaped cut out like on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. But these are in fact 2 separate cutouts, and there is a screen between the two, which is coloured black via software. While this might lead many people in believing that it is a longer cutout, the effect would have been more believable it was an AMOLED display. The notch is still smaller than what we had on the POCO F1, and after a day or 2; I didn’t find it to be intrusive at all. It is definitely noticeable because we are used to looking at the top right to check the battery %, but as I said, it is not too intrusive. Now since it’s an LCD panel we don’t get an in-display fingerprint sensor. Frankly, I am glad for this because the in-display fingerprint sensors on budget Smartphone are not that good, to begin with. So the fingerprint sensor on the POCO X2 is placed on its side, under the volume up and down buttons, and it also doubles as a power button.

From within the settings menu, you can either set it to read your fingerprint when you press the button, or you can even make it read your fingerprint just as you tap on it, which is a bit faster. This fingerprint sensor is very fast and accurate. Although it is more accurate than the in-display fingerprint sensor and is easier to reach then the rear on, I still think it is placed a bit high for my hands to comfortably reach it. Since it’s a tall phone, I would have liked it to be placed a cm or so lower. Anyways, I still like this placement. We already saw that the volume buttons are above this fingerprint sensor/power button. At the top, there is a noise-cancelling microphone and an IR blaster, which lets you use this phone as a remote controller for your home appliances. On the left side, there is the SIM card tray. It is a hybrid SIM tray, which means you can either use 2 nano sim cards or a nano-SIM card and a microSD card at a time. And at the bottom, we have the speaker grill on the left, a microphone, USB type C port for charging and data transfer and everyone’s beloved 3.5mm headphone jack on the right. I am more of a wireless audio person, but if you like listening to your music via wired earphones, output via this audio jack is of very high quality. The speaker on this phone can also get pretty loud, but just like with most budget Smartphone, it lacks the depth at higher volumes and might sound a bit tinny.

Coming to the cameras. Primary one gets the 64-megapixel SONY IMX686 sensor with F/1.8 aperture and a 26mm lens. Then there is an 8-megapixel sensor with a13mm ultra-wide-angle lens and F/2.2 aperture. Followed by a 2-megapixel sensor with F/2.4aperture and a macro lens. And finally, there is another 2-megapixel depth sensor with F/2.4 aperture. To put it in simple terms, Cameras on the POCO X2 are the best on any Smartphone under Rs.20,000. Now the macro camera is getting quite a bit of heat since the last couple of weeks. Sure it's just a 2-megapixel sensor, but when you think about it, it needs to capture a very tiny part of the scene, and as far as the focus is set properly, it doesn’t really matter how many details are in the remaining part go the image, because most of the times those parts are out of focus anyway. I definitely agree that having higher resolution would be better, but I don’t think this kind of lens needs to have a multiple digit megapixel count. You might not agree with me, and that is totally fine because if you know what you are doing with it, even a 2-megapixel macro camera can take amazing looking images. Although it gets 2 front-facing cameras, and one of them has a 20-megapixel sensor, selfies from the POCO X2 are not the best. There are some other Smartphone at a lower price, which does a better job than this. But it makes up for it by taking amazing videos. POCO X2 can take electronically stabilised4K 30fps videos, and these videos look specialized.

A part of why the POCO X2 is so good at taking images is the image signal processing capability of the Snapdragon 730G processor. It is paired with Adreno 618 GPU for smoother graphics, and you can choose from either 6 or 8GB of RAM, coupled with either 64, 128or 256GB of built-in storage. Overall performance of this phone is very smooth. App opening and switching is a breeze, and since the G in the 730G processor stand for gaming, the gaming performance of this phone is really good. Games that support higher refresh rate of120Hz on a Smartphone are just s treat to play on this phone. POCO X2 not only shows better benchmark scores than the competing phones in its price range, but the overall daily performance also shows that it is a very capable Smartphone. There are a few frame drops in the 120Hz mode if you are pushing it for a long time, but it doesn’t happen too often. This was a major issue when the phone was new, but with software updates, POCO has fixed the issue. The phone does get a bit warm if I use the camera for a long time or after playing a few games, but I won’t say it got so hot that I would be worried or anything like that. A little bit of heat is expected, especially in the summer season, like we are in right now. As long as we are on the topic of issues, many people had a few of them with the battery on this phone.

There were complains that even with a 4500mAhbattery, their phone won’t last long enough on a single charge and that they even faced ideal battery drain. While I got 5 and a half to 6 hours of screen on time with 120Hz mode on all the time, I think I could have made the battery last longer by switching to 60Hz. I still think the battery optimization should have been better because a battery this large should last for at least a day and a half. But then again, I was comparing its battery with the Note 9 Pro, which had a much larger battery. I did face the ideal battery drain issue, where my phone was losing close to 13-14 per cent of battery overnight, this issue has since been fixed, and overnight now it looses just 2-3% of the battery. When it’s time to charge it up, we get a 27watt charger in the box, which is pretty quick. Although there is a glass back, there is no wireless charging, but for this price, we don’t even expect phones to pack in this feature. POCO X2 packs in all the necessary sensors like the ambient light and proximity sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, IR sensor, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, wifi 5.0, dual VOLTE and it also gets FM radio, which is very important to some people.

Coming to the software side of things. Even if this is technically a Xiaomi phone, POCO X2 runs a version of MIUI 11 that is specifically tweaked for POCO Smartphone, on top of Android 10. Now since it is still technically a version of MIUI 11, there are a few aesthetic similarities, but the POCO launcher has a few new features of its own. Well, first of all, there are no spam ads on the UI of this POCO X2. That being said, you will still see the seeds if you open Mi browser or Mi videos app, so the best thing to do is download Google apps like chrome, as soon as you get this phone, and never use the preinstalled Mi apps. There is an app drawer, where apps are classified according to their category or you can even group them by colours if you think that makes it for you to find them. This not unique to the POCO X2, as the POCO launcher is available on the Google Play store, and you can install it on any android Smartphone. There are a few good features on this UI, but I am still not a big fan of MIUI in any form, so given a chance I would definitely install a different launcher on this phone, and make it look more like Google Pixel. While the experience was not all that smooth when this phone first came out, there have been a few software updates since, and everything seems pretty smooth now. So my overall experience has been pretty smooth with this phone. I did not encounter any performance issues or excessive heating issues, so it has been smooth sailing for me. Ya about the frame drops I mentioned, as rarely as they occur because the normal experience is so smooth, those drops stand out like as our candy to my eyes. And if POCO or Xiaomi could just stop the shady ads and ton of notifications altogether, the experience would be so much better. The best thing you can do now is to not use their apps altogether, and turn off all the notifications for their apps. If you are ready to use a huge phone, and you want the best Smartphone under Rs.20,000 right now, I think you are going to love the POCO X2. Big display with 120Hz refresh rate is not only amazing for playing games, but it offers an overall amazing experience with very good brightness levels and a good amount of contrast with accurate colours.

Snapdragon 730G processor ensures a smooth experience overall, and the cameras are simply the best in this price range. POCO has proved that if there is an issue on the software side of things, they are fast enough to push out updates to fix it. Nokia 7.2 Android Smartphone Review

The Nokia 7.2 is closer to the entry-level end of the smartphone pool, which is actually saying a lot considering its feature set. At just over $300 from stores like Wal-Mart and newegg.com, you may find your needs met by the phone which puts the "ok" in Nokia.

I'll explain it (upbeat music). Right now the most important thing you need to know about the Nokia 7.2 is that it is an Android One phone. If you don't know what that means, you're going to get an Android phone which is guaranteed to receive at least two years of updates to the Android operating system, which ensures you have the latest features and security improvements during that course of time. This also means you're not gonna get a bunch of carrier or manufacturer bloatware, so you'll be getting as close to the stock, pure Google Android experience as possible. Besides being a Pixel phone. The Nokia 7.2 ships with Android 9.0 Pie but the official timeline for it to be updated to Android 10 is sometime in the first quarter of 2020. We'll see. So, now that you understand what makes this an Android One device, let's take a look at the hardware and see if that helps you decide if it's the one for you.

I'm reviewing the charcoal variant of the phone, which is also available in cyan, green and ice. The phone is wrapped in Gorilla Glass 2.5D, which isn't the high suspect for Gorilla Glass, but it's okay. You'll get a 6.3 inch full HD plus LCD display, that's 1080x2280 pixels, which is this tall 16x9 aspect ratio. It does support HDR 10 and I have to say, that this is not a bad looking display at all. The phone is available with either four or six gigabytes of RAM. My version is the one with 128 gigabytes of internal storage, and six gigabytes of RAM. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side of the phone. One of the design elements on the phone I enjoyed was that the power button doubles as a notification LED. It pulses and glows white when you have new notifications, but if you aren't feeling that, you can turn it off in the settings. On the left side of the phone, you'll get a micro SDXC slot, and depending on what you buy, you'll have either a single or dual SIM slot. Below that is the Google Assistant button, which I turned off as I always do, because I have a tend encrypt activate it by accident often. Top of the phone, you'll find a microphone and 3.5-millimetre headphone jack. Bottom of the phone, you'll find a mic, a USB-C charge port and the speakers. The phone comes equipped with a 35 hundred milliamp-hour battery, which Nokia says you should get two days out of, but I didn't find that to be true for me. With their adaptive battery technology, your battery life should get better over time, but initially, my results were just mediocre with me hitting about 20%left at the end of my days, which should be obviously a lot higher if you're gonna get two days out of it.

Let's talk about these cameras next. The front of the phone is where you'll find a 20-megapixel quad pixel camera, which takes some pretty solid portrait and your standard selfies. Portrait modes can produce some very nice selfies, with beauty mode activated. But that software-based background blur can be aggressive at times. As you can see in some of these photos around my beard, and the sides of my forehead where the light blooms where it hits. In addition to that, you get a pro model on the front camera, which is something you don't see on many phones. And something I am a big fan of. You will also have some options to choose from in that front-facing camera, which will affect how background lighting looks as it's blurred out. I played with this in a few different environments and I found that unless you have very specific lighting, this isn't gonna be a feature which you'll probably use all that often. The back of the phone, you're gonna get Zees Optics for the 48-megapixel wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Additionally, you'll have a 5-megapixel depth sensor lens for effects. The images from the 48-megapixel lens produce photos with solid colour reproduction. But in low light, they can be a bit noisy, but the overall noise I experienced with the camera, is persistent there. The interesting difference found in the photos in terms of noise was that the use of portrait mode seemed to produce deeper blacks with less noise in low light conditions. You lose some image sharpness by utilizing portrait mode, but as you can see, in these image comparisons, you will notice the deeper blacks of the bars, while also seeing that the lettering in the signs is not as sharp. Overall, the camera's produce images which I think most people will be happy with. If you are a photographer looking for a solid point and shoot, you're probably not looking here anyway. If there's anything overtly negative to point out about the camera, it's that it actually has noticeable lag as you move through the different modes and it isn't long, but it isn't instant like some competitors. (Easy listening music) The software experience with the Nokia 7.2 is actually better than okay.

The fingerprint sensor around back, it worked reliably and consistently, and the face unlocks functionality was fast and reliable as well. Though the phone uses the Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 graphics processing, moving between screens and animations are smooth and fast. As a reviewer, I get to play with a lot of phones. Many of the high-end flagship models, so using this phone you do notice that it isn't quite as fast as some costing hundreds more, but we also have to remember, I think that the average user doesn't have as many phones go through their hands. And a phone like this, which may seem slower than others, still moves at a clip fast enough that you aren't going to be waiting for apps to launch. It isn't instant, but it isn’t 56k dial-up either. You've got mail! The overall interface uses a card-based design language. This is an Android One device after all. So swiping from the bottom to the top of the navigation bar, the dot will open up the app drawer when you're on the home screen. And going only a quarter of the way up brings you to the app switcher, which also shows your five recently launched apps on the bottom of the screen. Moving between apps in the app switcher is lightning fast. Pressing the home button takes you back to the home screen.

Swiping left to right also switches you between apps with wonderful quickness. This phone does not have rise to wait but does have tap to wait, which I found to be hit or miss. I'll chock that more up to muscle memory on my part than anything because these taps to wait for phones have a rhythm to them. And it could just be me getting used to the cadence, which will wait for the phone consistently. When getting into the notification, shade options, and the menu options, you'll find that there is not a whole lot to look at. Some phones allow you to customize everything to the nth degree, but you're not really going to see that with this phone. With the Nokia 7.2. I don't think that's a negative thought. Some folks don't want to spend all their time playing with icon shapes and colours and that's okay. One oddity in the menu with this phone though, and this is, you see this in a lot of Android One stock, close to stock Android phones is when you switch to dark mode, the menu stays white. Notifications, the shade goes dark automatically but that's it. When in the display settings, it allows you to change the theme to the "dark theme", emphasis on the word "theme". Shouldn't that mean that everything else on the system level is affected? Nope! Want dark mode in your messages app? You have to enable it. Phone dialer. Enable it. Chrome. Enable it. And therein lies the disconnect. This is an Android One phone, but it is still a Nokia device

So, some system apps follow super changes while others which seem like system apps, due to the lack of bloatware and Nokia OS enhancements, well, those others may seem like system apps, but they're Google apps. And you'll have to go into each one, one by one, and turn on dark mode. (upbeat music playing softly) Okay, okay! Maybe not. Maybe not. So, "OK" is in the middle of "Nokia" and that kinda says it all for this device. It's pretty much stock Android with no user interface enhancements. And for those who don't want to spend their lives customizing their phone, that's "OK". Photos overall are "OK". Battery life, for me, it so far has been "OK". But at around $300, your bank account will be "OK" after you buy this phone. Instead of nagging you for spending money, you didn't really have, on a phone with 300 features you aren't really going to use. Okay? Thank You. 😊😊😊😊

We are going to be doing a detailed comparison between the OnePlus 8 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. We have both the best smartphone OnePlus 8 Pro as well as Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Now we will compare all of the key differences.

So, let's initially look at the built and design. Now, both devices are very premium. We've got a metal frame with curved glass bowls on the front and the back, and both devices are also IP 68 water and dust resistant. The S20 Ultra does however only come in two options, and they are both glossy. We've got a cosmic black and a cosmic grey, which we see here. So, it's pretty plain and we also have this pretty larger rectangular camera module. The OnePlus 8 Pro comes in this frosted finish of this glacial green, which we have here. There's also a glossy onyx black, as well as an ultramarine blue, which is currently not available in the UK. The camera module is central lined.

Now, looking at both side by side, I would have to say that the OnePlus 8 Pro does have a better design in my opinion. I do like the central line camera module, which makes things symmetrical. I also really like this frosted matte glass finish, which attracts fewer fingerprints and it also has this really cool effect, depending on the way the light hits it. Now, in either case, you can customize the look of these devices with skin, they've got a huge variety and you can swap things around once you get too bored as well.

Now, I'm looking at the differences in terms of size. Both are large devices, but the S20 Ultra is slightly larger in the height, the width, as well as the thickness. It's also around 20, 21 grams heavier. But both devices are large and that's because they have large displays. We've got minimal bezels with a punch-out. Now, I would say that the S20 Ultra does have a slightly smaller bezel on the top, but they're very, very similar. Both displays also curve from the sides. However, the OnePlus 8Pro is a bit more curved on the sides in comparison to the S20 Ultra. Now, the OnePlus 8 Pro has a 6.78-inch display. The S20 Ultra has a slightly larger 6.9-inch display. Both of these are using AMOLED technology. Both have up to a Quad HD+ resolution and both also support a 120 Hertz refresh rate with 240 Hertz of touch input. But, there is a little bit of a catch. On the S20 Ultra, you can only have the 120 Hertz refresh rate. If you're at Full HD you cannot have this at Quad HD.

Now, this seems to be to save on battery life, but on the OnePlus 8 Pro, you do have that option. So, if you do want to go all out and absolutely kill your battery, you can do that. And I like that this option is here, because maybe you do want that very high resolution, as well as that high refresh rate, and this is an advantage that the OnePlus 8 Pro has. The OnePlus 8 Pro also has MEMC technology, so that's motion estimation and motion compensation. This is essentially going to take content that's at a standard prime rate, say 25, 30 frames a second and make it seem as though it's at a higher frame rate by applying motion smoothness and things like that. This is something that you may, or may not like. It is supported across lots of popular apps, such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, as well as YouTube. Now, generally speaking, I don't think you can go wrong with either of these displays, they are some of the best displays out there.

The OnePlus 8 Pro you are getting that advantage of Quad HD+ with a 120 Hertz. On the S20 Ultra, you're getting a centre punch-out, which I do personally prefer a little bit to the side punch-out here on the OnePlus 8 Pro. And the display is also a little bit flatter, compared to the very curved display of the OnePlus 8 Pro. Now, another thing is that the S20 Ultra does have an Always-On Display, which is something that I personally find really useful. You can just see things at a glance. The OnePlus 8 Pro unfortunately still does not have this. I am sure it can come with a software update, but currently and its state right now it is not there, unfortunately.

Now, both devices do have an in-display fingerprint scanner, which is very, very, fast. However, the technology is quite different. The OnePlus 8 Pro has an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The S20 Ultra has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. So, the technology is superior on the S20 Ultra. It is actually measuring the ridges in your fingers. However, the OnePlus 8 Pro can be a little bit faster I have found. Now, one thing that I do not like on the OnePlus 8 Pro is that you do have to wake the device before you can use the fingerprint scanner. So, there is an extra step involved. You have to either tap to wake it, then press it, or lift the device to wake it. Whereas on the S20 Ultra it is always on and you can just tap in this area whenever and it's going to unlock your device. So, I know a lot of people do praise OnePlus devices for the fingerprint scanner and how fast it is, but for me, that extra step actually makes it slower. So I do personally prefer the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner on the S20 Ultra.

Now, let's talk about the cameras. We'll start with the front-facing cameras. You can see here that we do have the punch-outs. The S20 Ultra does have a high resolution, as well as a wider aperture. And you can see some samples here. I think both of them do a pretty good job overall. I do find that the OnePlus 8 Pro does still overexpose for selfies. This is something that I've noticed on previous OnePlus devices as well. It does make you look a little bit fairer, compared to how you actually are. The S20 Ultra, although it is not my favourite selfie camera and it can still lighten your skin a little bit. I would still prefer it overall to the OnePlus 8 Pro. And also for video, because the OnePlus 8 Pro can only film at 180p from the front-facing camera at 30 frames a second. The S20 Ultra can film at up to 4K, 60 frames a second from the front-facing camera. So, for those reasons, the edge does go to the S20 Ultra for the front-facing camera, but things are quite interesting when we look at the rear-facing cameras. So, we do have a Quad camera setup on both of these. The three main cameras are similar in the sense that we have got an ultra-wide camera, we've got a primary camera and then we've got a telephoto camera, which is going to give optical zoom. The fourth camera is different. The S20 Ultra has a Time of Flight sensor, which is going to help with depth information. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a colour filer camera, which I'm still a little bit confused about. I'm not sure what the exact use of this is, because as far as I can see a lot of the filters that you get on there you can actually apply in a post anyway, but nevertheless, it's there. Now, you can see a few samples here, the primary cameras I would say are very good at both for most situations. They do have good dynamic range overall and good colours. For the ultra-wide cameras, I think both do a good job. The S20 Ultra is slightly wider, which I do prefer. And for the telephoto cameras, the S20 Ultra does have much more optical zoom. So you can get in much closer to your subjects and this is a lot more noticeable when you go to the likes of 10 times up to 30 times.

Now, I know it does seem 100X here on the S20 Ultra, but you guys probably already know how I feel about this. It's not really practical, it's not really usable. I am not sure why Samsung has plastered 100X on here when it is at this level. It is fine to have and you don't need to use it, but Samsung doesn't plaster it on the freaking device. Now, for low light, it was quite interesting because in certain situations I did prefer the S20 Ultra, in certain situations I preferred the OnePlus 8 Pro. Here you can see an outdoor shot. The S20 Ultra for me is a lot better, there is a lot of processing happening on the OnePlus 8 Pro's shot. But, on this indoor shot, I did prefer the OnePlus 8 Pro which did better maintain the colours and the detail compared to the S20 Ultra. The OnePlus 8 Pro also has a macro mode which lets you get in super up-close using the ultra-wide camera. This is something you do not have on the S20 Ultra. Now, for video both did seem to do a good job. One area where the OnePlus8 Pro is definitely better is in autofocus. This is something that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has a struggle with, even after numerous updates. It just doesn't have that dual pixel autofocus, which Samsung has been known for, for a long time and it can struggle a lot of times with focus.

The OnePlus 8 Pro is definitely faster and better here. And rear-facing cameras. We can switch to ultra-wide on both. And we can also zoom. It is three times on the OnePlus 8 Pro and there are five times on the S20 Ultra. The S20 Ultra, however, does offer 8K video. Now, this is a great addition. It does crop in quite heavily and you do lose some stabilization and things, but it's definitely a nice option to have if you do want to play around with it. This is something that's not available on the OnePlus 8 Pro. Now, of course, this is not a detailed Super Saf style camera comparison. I just wanted to show you a few image and video samples. I will hopefully do some more in detail camera test when the lockdown is over. Right now I can pretty much just shoot in and around my house, which is quite limiting.

Now, let's talk about performance. So the OnePlus 8 Pro, it is all about speed. It does come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, along with the X55 modem for 5G. The S20 Ultra comes in two options. So, you guys may already know about this, but depending on your region you are going to get either the same, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, or you might get the Exynos 990. The Exynos chipset, unfortunately, is just not as good as the 865 when it comes to performance, but more so when it comes to power efficiency. 865 is just better in my experience. Unfortunately, you do not have a choice about this. So, depending on your region the OnePlus 8 Pro might actually be the faster devices, or it might be quite equal. This is something that, you know, hopefully, Samsung will improve over time and have some more consistency. I just like if they went all out on the 865.

For storage, you do have a base of 128 gigabytes, UFS 3.0. The S20 Ultra is available in a 512-gigabyte version. The OnePlus 8 Pro is also available in a 256-byte option. For RAM the S20 Ultra does come with more RAM straight off the back? So, you have got 12gigabytes of RAM as a base, you have got up to 16 gigabytes. The OnePlus 8 Pro comes in either eight, or 12 gigabytes of RAM. And now in speed and performance, generally speaking, both of these are going to be really, really good. The S20 Ultra does get one advantage and that is that it does have a micro SD card slot, so you can expand the storage here on the S20 Ultra. You cannot expand the storage on the OnePlus 8 Pro. The OnePlus 8 Pro also comes as default with dual SIM functionality, so that's great. The S20 Ultra, again, this is going to vary depending on your region. Some regions do have dual SIM, others do not.

Now, let's talk about the software. So both devices do have Android 10 out of the box, and they come with their own skins. So, on the OnePlus 8Pro, we do have Oxygen OS. The S20 Ultra comes with One UI. Now, realistically speaking these are some of my favourite skins. They are my top two, they have very clean, very functional and they also do add features that you don't get as defaults on stock Android. So, I'm very happy with both of these. A lot of it is going to come down to your personal preference. One advantage that I have to give to the OnePlus 8 Pro is that OnePlus is really, really good with updates. They do generally provide updates much faster than the likes of Samsung, as well as many others. So, if updates are important to you then the OnePlus 8 Pro is going to be a great option.

Now, for speakers, both devices do have stereo speakers. We've got one bottom-firing and then we have got one in the earpiece. Both sound really, really good. And now let's talk about the batteries. So the S20 Ultra does have a larger battery, and in my usage, it's been really good. However, this is once again going to come down to your region. The Exynos version is not as power-efficient, which means I am getting around 20% less battery life on my Exynos version, compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. And I am generally getting over six hours of screen-on time on a regular basis. So, I've been very, very happy with the S20 Ultra. Now, bear in mind this is full HD+ at a 120 Hertz, with the Qualcomm version. I have not had the OnePlus8 Pro long enough as yet to give you a proper conclusion of battery life. Generally speaking, it has been pretty good for me and does get me through the day. For charging, both of these do support very fast charging out of the box, however, you do get a slightly faster charger with the OnePlus 8 Pro, compared to the S20 Ultra. However, you can buy a 45Watt charger separately, which is going to charge up the S20 Ultra very, very fast. And the OnePlus 8 Pro for the first time on an OnePlus device does have wireless charging. This is something that I have been asking for, for a very, very long time. And not only that, but it is also very, very fast compared to the S20 Ultra. The S20 Ultra is around 15Watts and the OnePlus 8 Pro is going towards 30 Watts. So, you're getting from one to 50% in just 30 minutes. This is wireless charging, so it's something that I'm very, very happy to see here on the OnePlus 8 Pro. And both devices do support reverse wireless charging. So, this is where you can use the devices to charge, maybe some accessories or something wirelessly.

Now, the S20 Ultra here does get the advantage, because it does have faster reverse wireless charging, compared to the OnePlus 8 Pro. The OnePlus 8 Pro also has a new feature, which OnePlus has introduced and that is smart charging optimization, which is supposed to give your battery longer lifespan over time. And what this essentially does is it delays your charging based on your usage pattern. So, say for instance you wake up at 8:00 a.m. every day, and then it's not going to charge your device to really 100% until you wake up. and this way it should help your battery health in the long term.

Now, let's talk about the price. The OnePlus 8 Pro has gone up in price, compared to the previous generation, something we've been seeing from OnePlus year and year again. So it is starting at around $900. The S20 Ultra, however, does start much higher at around $1400, or around1200 pounds here in the UK. So you are going to be paying quite a bit more for the S20 Ultra compared to the OnePlus 8 Pro. And the OnePlus 8 Pro, let's be real, is the better overall deal here. You are getting a lot of features for that price. The S20 Ultra is a really good device and it is offering some unique features such as that extensive zoom, but is it worth that higher price tag? So the Galaxy S20 handsets are finally here. This Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra has many new premium features and upgraded hardware. So let's take a look at the top 10 features of this behemoth of a handset which could arguably be the Smartphone of the year 2020.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra-premium features have a 6.9" QHD+ display including 20Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sensing rate which suggests smoother animations - something games and apps will enjoy the foremost. Higher touch sensing rate will mean it's going to respond to your touch pretty quickly, for comparison, the Note 10+ has 120Hz touch sensitivity. So you're surely going notice a difference. All the S20 handsets will be snappier than ever.

After upgrading the camera so extensively, it only makes sense that Samsung would offer consumers the world's best screen to view their images on. Samsung is betting success on the camera performance of the Ultra. The S20 Ultra has a 108MP camera with the biggest sensor that Samsung has ever put on a Smartphone. We live in a world where we want everything to happen in an instant. 16GB RAM will make sure all your apps and games can stay open in the memory which will let you open the apps and games in an instant without ever refreshing them. The amount of RAM doesn't make your phone run smoother or let your apps run better, It only decides how many apps you can run at one time.

Considering that even social networking apps have become memory hogs these days, 16GB will come in handy if not today but surely tomorrow. The other standout feature of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G has its 100x zoom, which comes mounted on the side of the camera apparatus. Zooming within the first 10-20x on the S20 Ultra produces some decent photos, but things quickly deteriorate then. By the time you get to 100x zoom, you are basically taking a picture of a blob of pixels that somewhat resemble your subject. But while the 100x zoom feels a touch sort of a party trick, you'll still capture pretty decent shots with more reasonable zoom levels, without feeling as if you've lost too much fidelity.

All the S20 variants will have super steady OIS which isn't the same as super steady video on the Note 10. It applies to both photos and videos. It provides professional gimble like experience which uses software and hardware to provide shake-free photos and videos unlike any other Smartphone out there.

The S20 Ultra has a mammoth 5000mAh battery. That's insane but considering the other hardware of the Ultra such as 120Hz 6.9" display which will eat up a lot of battery juice, 5000mAhshould help push the device a day of heavy use with ease. The S20 Ultra supports 45W of fast wired charging and 15W of wireless charging and 15W of reverse wireless charging. Even with an insane price tag, Samsung will not include the 45W charger in the box; you need to purchase it separately by paying 50bucks. They'll give 25W charger instead which is pretty good by the way, charges the device pretty quickly.

All the S20 variants have an in-display fingerprint scanner. It's the same ultrasonic scanner found on the S10 and Note 10. Samsung hasn't mentioned anything about it at the event so I guess the hardware remains unchanged. You can use a pinch gesture on the screen while recording video to zoom in or out, and as you zoom in, the sounds of the subject you zoom in on becoming louder. There's a dedicated mic for it on the camera setup similar to the Note 10 Plus.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is the first handset in its series to use the latest gorilla glass 6 protection on both front and back glass as well as on the camera module. The S10 had the gorilla glass 6 only at the front and 5 at the back. So the Ultra can survive more drops and from higher heights. It also has a 40MP front camera, 128GB of base storage that goes up to 512GB and an option to expand it up to 1.5TB with a micro SD card slot, best in class processors, a premium chassis compared to Aluminum and also an insane price tag of $1400.

Realme XT smartphone review

Now the real me XT is a true successor to the real me X with an upgraded glass back and a new and beautiful pattern. The back has that almost est in glass p30 pro-like reflections and a unique subtle pattern that almost gives a feeling that. The back is thinner than it is now that is not completely an illusion because the phone is definitely not as wide as the real me X and looks more like other realms phones with the slightly taller and less wide frame now one thing. I absolutely love apart from the use of glass is that the frame although plastic has a frosted aluminium look which I prefer much more than the glossy chrome finish on the real me X. Another major change in design compared to the DX is the lack of a pop-up camera because the XT decided to go with a humble water-drop notch instead the camera bamboo is significantly bigger than the one on the real knee X. Which is understandable because of the 64megapixel camera but it does make the phone wobble on a table the buttons. All the plastic are nice and clicky the bottom hosts a loud single speaker and the headphone jack is pretty standard. it is not better or worse than the competition the headphone jack though is backed by Dolby audio. So you will get some of that sound quality now while the centred camera on the real me X did look slightly more premium and minimal.

I do prefer the ergonomics on this which makes the design of the really XD really stand out to me. Now the display of the real me XT is similar and different than the real me X. Similar because this is also an AMOLED display equally crisp and equally beautiful. But this is not a full-screen display this is a water drop not while the real mean X had a full-screen display with a pop-up selfie camera. Now the reason for this is manifold but some of the major reasons were first of all the mechanical part of it the fact that everyone did not feel comfortable with the part moving in and out of their phone and secondly since realme along with a few other companies are actively working towards implementing. Phi Z this is an initial attempt to slowly phase out pop-ups in order to make space for Phi Z modems. Apart from that though the display is absolutely stunning and two years ago it would have been unimaginable to see phones like the real me X and the c1 X and now the XT bringing AMOLED displays in such affordable price brackets.

The colour shift on the phone is not too bad and the white point stays pretty much in check that is why do I nail one and while I cannot confirm. If this is a true HDR display YouTube does give you the option to play HD our videos for whatever that's worth. The display is even more beautiful with black wallpapers. I think has become one of my favourite parts of the phone moving to performance the real me X. Duses the same processor as the realme fibre Ovitz puts it in a tough spot it makes a real mean XT an upgrade over the real me X. But also makes it the same performer as another skew at a lower price that's at DSD seven one-two at this point is the most powerful new processor available under 20,000. Which makes the realme XT one of the most capable devices in this price range playing pub G or PES mobile is very fun on this device especially with the good touch response and of course that AMOLED display.

The benchmark scores also show exactly that and the performance is second to none now the closest processor to the seven one-two which is more powerful than it is the Snapdragon 730 which is inside the red meat cake 20 but is also significantly more in price the sole is used is ufs 2.1 with speeds of about 460 megabytes per second. And write speeds of about 186 megabytes per second and storage matters that said other phones in this price range today do offer similar functionality. That's why it's not really a stand out feature but it's very very good to have and will make your phone perform much faster Honestly it's more power than most of us would need on a daily basis and if you are really someone who wants much more power then you can look at phones over 20,000 rupees. The really XT runs colour OS6 specially tuned by real me built on top of android 9 pi the OS has certainly become slightly better with a more uniform looking design. This makes using it more fun than before now while it’s no stock android for geeks it does come with a ton of useful features colourful visuals and customization options.

For people who love that there is a theme store ton of wallpapers inside and I think the only big thing missing is the dock mode. This would certainly look awesome on this AMOLED display the XT supports project treble but there is not support for seamless updates forgive me as a brand has also been pretty. Active with providing updates and bug fixes and even providing boot loader unlocking which makes a pretty geek-friendly - in my opinion. There is cam 2 API support out of the box so G cam lovers out there can celebrate the bloatware on the phone is still plenty. But I'm guessing the lower price comes at a cost and while it is clearly not winning any awards for its software performance. I think the realme XT has a lot to offer here moving to the camera. The realme XT is the world's first smartphone with a 64-megapixel camera the 64-megapixel sensor is a Samsung sensor with of course more megapixels than. you would ever need apart from that the other cameras are the exact same as the real fibro. So you have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2megapixel macro lens the 64-megapixel camera though is significantly more resolution than the realme an X.

The pictures that come out are – the pictures are oozing with natural details especially human subjects. The skin textures are beautifully captured the wide shots- look very very crisp and there is, of course, that characteristic saturation in most pictures. But that's just how realme chooses to do that you can, of course, turned it down in the post in photo editing apps if you want for videos 2 X 3 takes 4k at 30fps max and has stabilization up to 1080 at 60 fps the front camera also has electronic image stabilization. Which makes the video stand out among others in this price during the night shots also look equally impressive now realme a nightscape mode has done very well in previous phones as well and with the new or 64-megapixel sensor, the pictures look even better. The front camera also takes some stunning pictures compared to the realme five throw there is still some optimization needed on the front camera. There is some over-sharpening that the real me 500 doesn't do which is why the real me fibro at least at this point takes slightly better sulfites. But I think that's because this is, of course, a pre-production unit so this is pre-launch I'm guessing all after-sales unit will have an improved front camera.

Now coming to battery life I have actually reviewed every single real me phone ever and the one thing that they never compromise on is the battery life with the real me X3. Also, you get a sizable amount which might be an upgrade for a lot of people over the realme X of course but you also get the 20 what book 3.0 now that battery size inside with the AMOLED display upfront and I actually use a lot of tough wallpapers. I got immensely good battery life so I averaged around seven to seven and a half hours of screen on time which is very very nice for a phone that is not very thick.

Then we come to the charging time so the 20-watt charger charges of that battery in the realme XT in about one or thirty minutes that was the average that I got at times. it was one or twenty-five minutes one time it was one at 30 minutes so one or thirty minutes is the average time that it takes to go from zero to 100%. Which is actually very very impressive now coming to call quality is the realme XT gives me a standard your PS with good call quality. They were called drops once or twice but nothing that can be tagged as an issue the 4G data speeds and cell reception was also pretty good and the speed at which the phone brought back connectivity after being in a tunnel or the lift was very very good.

So finally we come to an end of this review and the realme XT is a great smartphone. it's a successor to the realme X and almost every way. You have a better processor a better-looking design you have a more ergonomic design you have clearly better and more at the back of the phone and you have a very good battery performance as well. Now the one thing that a lot of people do find is a downgrade on the real me XT is the display not because it's a different technology. It still comes lid but the fact that there is a not sure and it's not a full-screen display like the real mean X. Now, of course, there is that section of people who prefer having a full-screen display even if there is a pop-up camera mechanism that's it another big chunk of people do not like having mechanical parts and this also makes the phone thinner and more comfortable in the hand. So I think the choice that was made with the real me XT was, of course, made on user data and I do think that I support that option and as much as I hate notches I think it's a smart decision now for the people who do want that full-screen experience you can, of course, get the real me X. But I think the real me XT is an upgrade over the real me X in almost every other way and especially with that price I think. It is a good buy that's it the real competitor to the real me XT is the Vivo s e 1x which is very similar to this phone in a lot of senses it's an AMOLED display with a similar do drop of waterdrop notch that said the battery life that I got was pretty similar again the wattage in charges is also very similar the Vivo Z1 X comes in at 22.5-watt charging.

Whereas the realme XD comes with the 20-watt charger you get the same star dragon 7 1 2 chipsets inside. You get high-resolution cameras at the back that said the z1 X comes with the Sony I'm x58 to 48-megapixel sensor while this one has a 64 megapixel Samsung sensor now with almost everything being the same I think the camera is the bigger differentiator between the two the real me X seems to have slightly better cameras. In the camera comparison that you can also see on the channel the real me, XT did come out to be a better camera now most of the rounds. Where the real makes T1 was because the details that the 64megapixel camera produces is phenomenal that's what I think Vivo does need to work slightly on the camera algorithm because even the real me fibre which is almost the same sensor as the V was even X it did produce likely crispier shots this is also why I think the real me XT is a slightly better package for people who like cameras and want to take a lot of pictures with their phones and with that. Since it's only $50 more so I would go for that if you need a little bit more storage it's seven hundred and forty-nine dollars now the actual construction of both of these devices is a little bit different the iPhone 11 Pro is made out of stainless steel so it's got a stainless steel band all the way around it's both glass back and front and it's supposed to be stronger glass this year on both devices but the pro and the pro max also have a matte finish on the back.

Whereas the camera bump is really a glossy finish Apple has changed this on the iPhone 11 models and swapped that around. So you will see that the back is glossy on the iPhone 11 where the camera bump is actually a little bit of a matte texture so it's all one piece of glass now the construction of the iPhone 11 is aluminium and you have this aluminium ring around the outside edge similar to the iPhone 10 are of last year but that is the main difference.

As far as to build when it involves the particular weight of them the load is extremely similar the iPhone 11 pro is six point six three ounces or 188 grams the iPhone 11 is six point eight four ounces or 194 grams so they're very close and weight and you are doing have that size difference though because this is often aluminium it will be a little bit lighter than the pro max model.

if you're going for that now the big factor that is different between both of these is the display on the iPhone 11 pro you have an OLED display which has more vibrant colours along with a higher pixel density. So you've got 2436 by 1125 with 458 pixels per inch this year Apple calls it an excellent Retina XDR display it allows for HDR video if you're using the Apple TV app. But you can still only watch 1080p on YouTube and that's due to a dispute with Apple and Google and not supporting different versions of codes that allow you to watch those videos as far because the iPhone 11 goes this is often a lower resolution display but it is a liquid Retina display it's probably the simplest retina LCD on the market at this point it's 1792 by 828 pixels with a density of 326 pixels per inch. You still cannot see the pixels and the display does support HDR 10 and you can watch 1080p videos on YouTube. When you're watching a YouTube video you can't see the pixels when you look at them side-by-side they look great overall and I think most people that are not really into specs and things like that will notice no difference whatsoever other than vibrance of an OLED display you will have brighter colours and deeper blacks because on an OLED display. Where there is the colour black it actually turns off those pixels. It also goes a lot brighter on the pro you have 800 nits when it's turned all the way up and it can peak up to 1200nits on the iPhone 11. It's hard to show you on this camera but the iPhone 11 goes to about 600 nits as far as its maximum brightness right around those areas. So they're fairly bright they're both viewable in sunlight but they are a little bit different.

Now this year all devices that are new have haptic touch 3d touch is gone so that means it's replaced with a long press you still get all of the same features you would before for the most part but it's more of a long press it's not as intuitive and you actually don't feel like you're pushing into the screen to activate those shortcuts. So if you push on it it's not exactly the same but it's the same between all of the new devices so you're not compromising when switching from device to device.

The speakers on both of them are equally loud they both support Dolby Atmos. They both have a nice stereo wide stereo sound you have a top speaker up here at the top where you listen to your phone calls but it's also projecting sound towards you and then at the bottom you also have speakers but they're a little bit different as far as the size or as or at least the way they look now as you can see together due to the antenna lines it's a little bit asymmetric on the iPhone 11 Pro this isn't really an issue the sound is all the same and these are the microphone and speaker array so overall it's very good now.

The batteries are also differentiating factors when it comes to both of these the iPhone 11 Pro has a 3046 million power battery whereas the iPhone 11 has a slightly larger 3110 million power battery however the iPhone 11 Pro tends to get about one to two hours more in battery life overall with the screen-on time that's due to the efficiency of the OLED display new efficiencies. The Apple has made this year also because the new a 13Bionic chipset so you'll get good battery life in both but the 11pro may get you an additional hour or two and speak of that chipset the 13 Bionicis in both of these devices you have the same chipset.

You have an equivalent amount of RAM everything is that the same as far as performance between both of them so if you're opening an application maybe you're opening settings you'll notice that they open at the exact same rate if you're doing any tasks that are more intense you're really not going to see a difference when it comes to any of those. It's equally fast on both devices there is zero compromises picking one over the other when it comes to speed performance and all-day usage. There is also no compromise when it comes to face ID they are equally fast they unlock at the same rate because they are the same version of face ID. They work really well and that also leads me to the cameras which are the exact same cameras on the front this year.

So, if I go into the cameras flip the screen around they are both 12-megapixel sensors they're true depth cameras you can do emoji and emoji me emoji whatever you'd like you can do that with the forward-facing cameras and then you can record 4k 60p videos. So if you would like to record video I actually recorded the iPhone 11 Pro video that I did as far because the review completely with the camera on the 11pro. So they're all 12megapixel sensors but the iPhone 11 is lacking a zoom lens but it still can zoom digitally. The two Apple does a really good job at two times zoom to give you the best result possible. So I wouldn't say you're missing a whole lot unless you need to zoom past 2x you really don't need anything as far as the telephoto lens instead you've got wide and ultra-wide. Which I think is much more useful for most people and their incredible cameras they both record in4k 60p if you'd like to do that high frame rates for slow-motion they both have portrait mode this year too and they both can do portraits of animals or objects.

So if we go into portrait mode last year because we only had one lesson the iPhone 10 R we could only take portraits of people instead now we can take portraits of flowers or anything else. We would like also now one among the opposite big factors between both of those is that the OLED display actually has PWM or flicker that you simply can't see with your eye but affect some people and give them headaches or make them feel nauseated and you can see that here in slow motion. Where the iPhone 11 Pro is really flickering all the time in the movie you only can't see it. But otherwise, it's flickering and that helps It control brightness and that really affects some people's eyes gives them headaches like I said so the iPhone 11 does not have that because it's an LCD. So that's something to consider although the flicker rate is better this year than it was in previous years. I don't seem to get headaches like I used to so it is better overall but it's still something to consider now the overall size of both phones is very similar.

However, the iPhone 11 Pro is slightly larger due to that larger display and does feel a little bit bulkier so if you're coming from an iPhone, for example, the iPhone 11 Pro may be an excellent compromise of a bigger display and an easier size. However, if you want a giant phone you'll want to step up to the iPhone 11 Pro max where it is much bigger and much more noticeable in the hand when you're holding. It so just keep that in mind the size is not a big deal for most people especially if you like the larger phone but, if you want a smaller phone the 11pro is the way to go now the good thing.

In this year both devices have ip68 certification the iPhone 11 Pro actually has a little bit better IP 68 and what that means is water resistance although you should still use a case if you're going to bring it underwater because Apple does not cover that water damage. If it does get damaged so for example the iPhone 11 pro has I ate up to four meters deep for 30 minutes the iPhone 11 has two meters deep for up to 30 minutes. So it's very similar just a little bit different both devices support fast charging where you can get 50 per cent battery life in 30 minutes but only the 11 Pro comes with the fast charger within the box the iPhone 11 comes with the 5-watt charger. If you want faster charging then you have to purchase that separately now between both of these they're almost the same with the exception of the size the display. The battery life and then the lack of the telephoto lens other than that they're almost identical in the way either one is a great choice if you're trying to figure that out and if you're on a budget get the 11 you won't disappoint. iPhone 11 Detailed Review

"Music" If you are in the market for a new iPhone, this is the one you should be getting. Not the iPhone 11 Pro, not the 11 Pro Max, not the new iPhone SE, but the iPhone 11. And we tend to overlook some of the wrinkles that are clearly visible after a while. It also gives the phone some time to mature, both physically as in showing us its durability and how it withstands to daily wear and tear, and give the software some time to fix some of the minor bugs, that is always a part of any new device. In the US there is a $300 difference between the price of the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. But in India, the difference between these phones is almost $525. Making the iPhone 11 the popular choice. And honestly, for the extra price, other than the higher resolution OLED displays, and 1 extra camera at the back, there is not a lot that the Pro’s offer over the regular iPhone 11. 2 things that disappointed most people more than anything, when this phone came out, were the lower resolution display, and the measly 5-watt charger in the box. And one of those things still annoys me. It is a 5-watt charger. This phone supports fast charging via the18 watt fast charger that comes with the iPhone 11 Pro models, but you will have to buy that charger, and the USB C to lightning cable separately. I have the iPad Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro, so I use that 18-watt charger to juice this phone up, and I don’t think I can ever go back to charging my phone with the 5-watt charger again. About the lower-resolution LCD screen that everyone was so angry about, truth is, you won’t even notice that it is not an OLED display.

It was the same for the iPhone XR. Last year I switched from the iPhone XS Max to the iPhone XR, and this year I am using both the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max together. But unless I am holding the phone just a few inches from my face (which we never are in normal day to day usage), or I am using a camera to zoom way in on these displays, I can barely tell the difference in resolution. Apple calibrates their LCD panels better than anyone in the industry, and the colour accuracy and viewing angles on this display are simply the best amongst any LCD displays out there. You might hear about the specs and straightaway think that it is inferior to even many of the budget smartphones. But all displays are not created equal, and this one is much nicer than the LCD screens that the budget devices have. Something that I would say I miss when moving from iPhone 11 Pro to iPhone 11 is the support for HDR playback. Other than that, unless you compare these displays side by side, it is difficult to tell the difference between OLED and LCD, yes Apple’s LCD displays are that good. You don’t have to take my word for it, go to the nearest Apple store or one of their resellers, and check the display out for yourself. You just have to see one to believe it. I think the 6.1 inch is very comfortable display size. Actually, I think a 5.8 inch iPhone 11 at an even lower price point, would have been the ideal device for my needs. The notch is still there, and it is just as big as it was on the iPhone X. At first, I was not too bothered by this notch, because the tech that hides behind that notch works perfectly. But having a look at what Android manufacturers are doing with the notch, I’ve started to wish that the notch was a bit smaller. It is not too intrusive, or anything, and just like you forget about the display having a slightly lower resolution than other smartphones, you also get used to the notch and start looking past it in a day or 2. What I miss on this iPhone 11 and even on the iPhone 11 Pro Max, is that 3D touch is now replaced with Haptic Touch. While Haptic touch made way for a bigger battery and lets you use most functions of the 3D touch by long-pressing on a particular part, it misses out on some features, and it is not as fast. I was one of the few people who used 3D toucha lot, so much so, that I made a dedicated video showing what all it can do, and now that it is gone, I miss it. - Design of the iPhone 11 is identical to that of the iPhone XR, with just the addition of the extra camera in a raised square camera module at the back.

While it’s not too different, I do not mind having this design, as it worked pretty well for me. There are now different colour options to choose from. I would have loved to see the matt glass back on the iPhone 11, just like the 11 Pro. But that process seems to be a bit costly, and including it on the iPhone 11 would have increased its price. - I talked about the durability at the start and I would like to elaborate a bit on that. Like on the iPhone XR, Apple has again used anodised aluminium for the frame of this iPhone 11, which has held up pretty great for me so far. Most of the time I do have a case on it, but every now and then I use it without a case. And I have accidentally banged it against a wall once, but it didn’t even gather a scratch. This year Apple is using the same best gorilla glass that corning has to offer, for the front and back glass of this phone, as they do on iPhone 11 Pros. Which means even the lower-priced iPhone 11, gets top of the line protection. Now my iPhone had held up pretty well against the scratches, but I have seen other peoples phone gathering some big scratches, from nothing but carrying them in their pockets. So although Apple says this is the toughest glass, it won’t hurt to use a well-tempered glass screen protector. This phone also has a better resistance against water. XR was able to withstand being submerged under 1m of water for 30 min, and the 11 can be submerged in 2m of water for up to 30 min. - Remember, I came to the iPhone 11 after using the iPhone XR for a long time. So the cameras while falling 1 lens short than the Pro’s is still an upgrade for me, both in quality and quantity. While the camera on the iPhone XR was a beast, the ones on the iPhone 11 are even better.

Both the normal and wide cameras are the same as the ones on the iPhone 11 Pro. Features like a better smart HDR algorithm, Deep Fusion and Night mode, makes this the best camera at its price. The front camera also gets a bump in resolution from 7 to 12 megapixels, and now you can take normal or wide selfies with it. I have made a very detailed video about the cameras on the iPhone 11, with a lot of image and video samples from various lighting situations. Make sure to check that out for a detailed look into the cameras. Apple is not doing anything too crazy like adding a lot of megapixels, or an absurd amount of zoom to one of its lenses. But whatever they are doing, has been working out pretty well. I just hope they start using physically larger sensors like some of the recent Huawei and Samsung phones. I just want to see what Apple can achieve with that sort of data and their computational photography algorithms. All of that may be in store for the next iPhones, but on the iPhone 11, we are left with these cameras, and I think they are capable of taking on any of the competing smartphones. The video performance of iPhones has been the best for some time now. It is so good, that many times when I am taking outdoor shots, I take a few shots with this phone, and mix them up in the video. And even after watching, no one can differentiate between shots taken with the iPhone 11 and my DSLR. - If you have ever used an iPhone, you know that performance is not one of the things that you have to worry about. iPhone 11 gets the same Apple A13 Bionic Processor as the Pros. So just as you would expect, iPhone 11 can handle anything that you can throw at it. In fact, there are not many apps out there which can fully take advantage of the hardware that this phone packs in.

All this headroom means this iPhone 11 is built to last. As and when developers will develop better apps in the future, this phone will be able to run them without any issue. Apple generally provides software updates and support for any phone for 5 years. So rest assured that the performance of this phone will last far longer than your willingness to use it. Chances are, you might get bored and want to upgrade to a newer iPhone just because it is available, and not because there is some issue with the performance of this one. Software and hardware work hand in hand on the iPhones like they do on no other phones. Apple tightly integrates the software and hardware and keeps most of it under walled gardens, and that’s the reason performance of these iPhones is so good. Everything, right from the processor is designed by Apple, so they know how to get the most out of their hardware via the software, at any given time. The simplicity of iOS is what attracts most people to iPhones. And if you have more than 1 Apple devices, all of them work together flawlessly. Like with many other devices, there were a few bugs on the iPhone 11 at the launch. But with each subsequent updates, Apple has been fixing them and adding more features to the phone. I think iOS 13 has been Apples buggiest version of iOS till date, and that i just hope, they straighten things out on the iOS 14, right from the beginning. I know any operating system has its share of bugs, and I am glad that Apple has been on top of fixing them bugs right from the early days on this phone. But I would expect that a huge company like Apple, with its huge program for developers and Beta testers, would iron this bugs out prior to releasing these versions to all the users.

Somethings I wish Apple gives us with the next version of iOS is relatively bug-free experience from the start, ability to put some sort of widgets on the home screen. I know I can put some widgets on the leftmost page, but that is not nearly as convent as having them on your main homepage. I would also wish to have the ability to use multiple apps at the same time. With the screen becoming bigger, I think we can easily use at least 2 apps at a time, if not more. I would also like for them to add night mode to the ultra-wide lens and more importantly, to the front-facing camera. And maybe a few more computational photography features to make the cameras even better. I love that with each new update Apple has kept on adding a couple of new features to the present phone. Features like the deep fusion mode, which helps camera take much better and detailed images in indoor light were added later on, and even the option to change the video resolution and frame rate right from the viewfinder was added to iOS 13 in a later update. There are a lot of more small features that they have kept on adding, so these updates have not just been about fixing bugs. If there is something on the hardware side that I don’t like, it has to be the storage option. I don’t like that these iPhones still start at 64GB, because for the price this high, 128GB should be standard. You can obviously pay Apple more and bump up the storage. For the iPhone 11 Pro, after 64GB, you get the 256GB storage option, and in India with the current pricing, you have to pay Rs.14,700 to go from 64 to 256GB. With the iPhone 11, after the 64GB variant, there is the 128GB storage option. While it costs Rs.5300 to go from 64 to 128GB, if you want to go with 256GB of internal storage, you will have to spend Rs.15,800, which is 1100Rs. more than what you would have to spend on the Pros. Which doesn’t make any sense? 64Gb sounds good enough for most people, but if you plan on using this phone for 3 to 4 years, choosing the 128GB storage option is a smarter thing to do. - Last year, I went with the XS Max because I wanted the battery on my iPhone to last me an entire day, but as it turns out, iPhone XR had an even better battery life so I switched to it. Having a battery that lasts for more thana day is important to me, so knowing that this iPhone 11 could last even longer than the XR, was an amazing thing.

My normal day to day usage compromises of an hour or so of making and receiving calls, about an hour or so of video calls, watching youtube videos for about half an hour, listening to music for about an hour, Constantly checking twitter and Instagram feeds throughout the day, chatting on iMessage and WhatsApp, and streaming some shows on Amazon Prime, Netflix or Apple TV, and taking a few images and videos here and there. And with this usage, I mostly end my day with more than 30% of the battery still remaining. Sometimes, I need more than a day’s battery on my phone, because I drive a lot, and during those days, navigation apps are used a lot, and sometimes I just forget to carry my charger. So having a battery that can go on for more than a day, is very important on those days. When it is time to charge the phone, I just hate that Apple still included a 5-watt charger with the 11. I have a few 18watt Power Delivery chargers, and after having used it, I never went back to the 5-watt charger. I also have a wireless charger on my desk and on my bedside table, so sometimes, like when I am scripting for a video or doing some other work at the desk, I just place it on these docs, and it is pretty much fully juiced up when I get off the desk. Now, this is definitely the least expensive of all the iPhone that Apple announced at their last major keynote, but it is in no way the lighter iPhone or the less powerful one in any way. So Apple was right to not call it the XR 2or something like that and just go with the iPhone 11 because this is every bit as powerful as the iPhone 11 Pros. With all that being said for me, this iPhone11 has held up pretty well for the past 6 odd months, and I am sure it is still an amazing phone to buy, even if the next phones are scheduled to launch later this year. It is an amazing value for money and offers you most of the features that the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max do, at a much lower price point.

In China Apple has reduced the price of this phone, considerably. So if they follow that by further reducing its price as they did with the iPhone XR last year, iPhone 11 will be even more popular in India, and I am sure people will choose it over the iPhone XR. Most people getting a new iPhone are bound to use it for 2 years or more, so it is only fair to get the one that offers you most of the latest features that you would use, for a reasonable price. So if money is a factor in your buying decision, going with the iPhone 11 over the 11 Pro is the smarter choice. I’ve mentioned a few times that I am using this with the 11 Pro max, and I think I might sell that one hold on to this iPhone 11 until the next iPhones arrive. If we believe some of the news that is floating around, that could be longer wait than normal this year, due to the outbreak and manufacturing and supply constraints. So if you are looking to buy a new iPhone, and unless you have a ton of money which you don’t need, iPhone 11 is the one to get. I also understand that the iPhone XR is much cheaper than the iPhone 11 in India, and some of you might want to know what do you missout on, by going that route. So if enough of you are interested iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. Same with the new iPhone SE. iPhone 11 is clearly a much better alternative than the newly released iPhone SE. OnePlus 8 Pro Android Smartphone review

After using it for almost two months now I know a lot of you guys are going to be saying, "How have you been using this for two months, "when it was just announced a month and a half ago?" Well, i used to be fortunate enough to urge this a touch bit early before the announcement date. And I have been using it quite heavily since. There are lots to like about this phone. There are few things not to like and there's definitely room for improvement. And I'm going to be trying to cover as much of that as possible. So this will be a long video, but as always I will try to leave some timestamps down below in the description or in a pinned comment so you can skip to a particular section. Right, with that out of the way, let's get straight to it. The first thing I want to talk about is the display. So you may have heard a lot of people already say that this has the best display in the market right now, and don't get me wrong, it's a really, really good display, but it's not perfect and we'll go into that. So firstly, let's talk about the good. Of course, it's a big display. It's bright, it's brighter than what we had last year. It's got a Quad HD plus resolution, supports HDR, 10 plus. But most importantly it has a 120 hertz refresh rate.

OnePlus were really one of the main manufacturers last year that popularized high refresh rate screens with OnePlus 7 Pro. This year, they've gone even more ahead from 90 hertz to 120 hertz and it really does make a difference. And unlike other competitive devices, you can have 120 hertz at Quad HD plus resolution. So you're getting the maximum sharpness as well as the maximum smoothness all in one. And that's something that I really like. But we do have this punch out. Now personally, I really don't mind this punch out, but according to a lot of other people, this is a step back from the OnePlus 7 Pro series which did have the pop out to camera, so you didn't have any interruptions on the display. And from a poll that I did recently, it seems like it is pretty much 50 : 50. Some people don't mind the punch out but some people do prefer the pop out, especially because of privacy. That pop camera when it's not being used, it is physically hidden. Now one of the reasons why OnePlus has gone with the punch out rather than the pop up is for IP 68 water and dust resistance and the OnePlus 8 Pro is the first OnePlus device to have that official rating. So I do think it's going to come down to your personal preference. As I said, I personally don't mind it and it's something that you kind of ignore after a bit because it is out of the way in the top corner.

Now let's talk about a few of the negatives. So you'll see that this is a very curved display from either side. And although this looks really cool in terms of usability, it can sometimes be a bit of a problem. Samsung, the company that actually popularized the cup display format, they themselves have now started to move away from that. So if you look at the S20 line, the displays are much flatter than they have been previously. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a very curved display and although it is going to come down to your personal preference whether you like it or not. There are some palm rejection issues that I've experienced, especially if it's reaching to the opposite bottom corner. The far of my hand will kind of cover the screen a little bit and then I'll have to reposition my hand to be able to press that button. So although this has improved with software updates, I still think there is more room for improvement. Another area for improvement is with an always-on display. The OnePlus 8 Pro still does not have an always-on display. OnePlus has been making OLED displays for some time on their devices and they still don't have an always-on display, whereas the competition out there on the Android side, whether it's Samsung, Google, LG, they will have always-on displays. Now, this may not be specific to you. You may not want an always-on display. I am somebody who really appreciates an always-on display. It's really useful to just to see things at a glance without having to pick my phone up each time and although I do think the OnePlus 8 Pro is going to be getting an update from what I've read on forums soon. It has been some time since this has been out and although we had lots of other updates, we've still not got that always-on display.

OnePlus, there's really no excuse now, give us an always-on display. Right, so those are some of the issues that may or may not apply to you, but let's talk about some issues that I think will apply to most people. Recently, we did start hearing of display issues with the OnePlus 8 Pro. In particular around green tint as well as a black crush. Now on my personal unit, I did not experience any green tint, but I did experience some black crush. Now, this was only visible in very dark environments when the brightness was all the way down. And you could definitely notice some areas of the screen which were inconsistent compared to others. When you have something like a grey background. Now OnePlus did release some updates to improve this. But from what I found in my experience was that all these updates really did were to limit how dim the display could go. Which would make those issues less noticeable, but they were still there. Here you can see an image of the OnePlus 8 Pro right next to the OnePlus 7 Pro at the lowest brightness settings and you can see that the OnePlus 7 Pro goes much dimmer compared to the OnePlus 8 Pro after this updates. Now I'm somebody who really likes to use my phone in darker environments.

I am usually on my phone say half an hour, an hour before bed. So I don't like the display to be too bright because I don't want it to affect my eyes. And I do eventually want to get to sleep. So this was something that I noticed quite a bit and I did tweet about it and a lot of you guys also noticed this. And having a more closer examination of my OnePlus 8 Pro compared to the OnePlus 7 Pro, I did see quite a bit of inconsistencies in the color when viewing grey backgrounds. So I did get in touch with OnePlus and they did send me a replacement unit. Now this replacement unit was much better than my previous OnePlus 8 Pro unit. However, it still was not perfect. I could still see these inconsistencies of color when viewing it in a darker environment compared to last year's device, the OnePlus 7 Pro, which was absolutely fine. So this is something that I have spoken to OnePlus about and apparently there's going to be more software updates coming to improve this. Whether or not these software updates are going to fix this issue completely, I don't know. Whether or not this is going to be something that's going to affect your specific device? I don't know. You may be somebody who doesn't really use your Smartphone at the darkest settings in dark environments, so you may not even notice some of these issues if your Smartphone has it. Nevertheless, it is something that I have experienced and it's something that I have to definitely talk about. Now another thing I want to talk about around the display is this optical in display fingerprint scanner, which is very fast. It's one of the fastest fingerprint scanners out there, but you do have to wake the device in order to be able to use it. And it's something that I have talked about before on other devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra which I did do a comparison of with the OnePlus 8 Pro.

I'll link that video in the cause and in the description. The fingerprint scanner is always on so you can just press it at any time without having to wake the device. So the fact that you do have to wake the device before you press the fingerprint scanner actually makes this a little bit slower in my opinion. So that's something that I think with an always on display will hopefully be fixed. And another thing is that, once again this is in darker environments, something that may not be specific to everyone out there, but as soon as you tap the fingerprint scanner, the brightness of the display increases significantly. So I'll be there, I'm kind of in bed, I'm trying to find the fingerprint scanner, I press it and it's just like, "Whoa, why is it so bright?" But for me, that really does spoil the experience of using this device in the dark. It's not something that I experience on other devices. They have consistent brightness. So if you do set it to the lowest brightness, it's going to stay like that. It's not going to suddenly brighten up the screen to be able to read your fingerprint. I don't know if this can be improved with the software updates, but it is something that I have definitely noticed. Right, so that was a lot about the display but of course there was a lot to talk about. Now let's move on to the build on the design. So in terms of the design itself, this is not really anything new. The front as what is the back is something that we've seen previously. The front is practically identical to the OPPO Find X2 Pro which is a device by OPPO, a partner company to OnePlus. So it's kind of understandable

And the back of the device looks very much like last year's OnePlus 7 Pro. Now these are not necessarily bad things. I think it looks really good from the front and I also think it looks really good from the back. I actually really like the symmetrical central aligned cameras compared to some of the rectangular camera modules that we're seeing these days. And I also really liked this matte finish at the back. This looks really nice. It's got a bit of a two-tone finish. However, if you do get the black version then that is a glossy black, which I'm not a huge fan of, because it does attract lots of finger prints. I quite like the swarm skin. It gives you that black look but also gives you a bit more texture to the device and there's lots of other options available as well.

Now speaking of this camera module, the camera module does have quite a bit of a bump on. Because it's in the middle, the device will rock from side to side quite a bit. Now I generally don't use my phone when it's on the table, but just something to bear in mind. Let's talk about these cameras. So traditionally OnePlus devices have always been a step behind other competitive devices. So it's one area where I really think OnePlus has really struggled to kind of keep up with the competition. This year however, things are different and OnePlus has really improved the game when it comes to cameras. I actually did a mini comparison versus the S20 Ultra in my hands on video. And in a lot of situations the OnePlus 8 Pro actually beats out the S20 Ultra which is a much more expensive device, especially when it came to areas like dynamic range. So I'm very impressed with the cameras here. The Ultra-wide camera is actually using the same sense that we had on the primary camera last year and it does take some really good photos. The primary camera is quite a large sensor as well, so you do get some natural blurry background shots, a natural depth of field effect. However, as with other smart phones that do have a large sensor, the plane of focus is quite slim. So there might be certain situations where you try to take an image of something and some of it's going to be in focus and some of it is not going to be in focus. And then we also have a telephoto camera, which is going to give you a OnePlus say three times optical zoom. This is technically the same as say you had a 12 megapixel camera with two times optical zoom. As soon as you crop that image to 8 megapixels, then that's kind of the equivalent of three times optical zoom. So I would have liked to have had a standard two times optical zoom camera on here, which you could crop into yourself instead of this kind of cropping in for you. And the other area as well where I think this has an effect is when it comes to portrait mode. So generally, I've said this before, but portrait shots on a Smartphone tend to look best at around 50 mm So that's around at the 2X point. Also having a look at some portrait shots in comparison to say the iPhone 11 Pro max. I do prefer the colors much more on the iPhone compared to the OnePlus. Now one underrated feature on the OnePlus is the macro camera. Now I'm definitely not talking about the gimmicky two megapixel macro cameras, which manufacturers are now throwing into smartphones these days.

The OnePlus 8 does have one of those two mega pixel macro cameras, which doesn't really give you great results. The OnePlus 8 Pro actually gives you really nice macro shots. And it's something that I found myself using a lot to get some really nice close ups, which you can then use as some abstract backgrounds in things. And it's something that other Smartphone don't really offer. So it's definitely a feature that I think is quite underrated. Now let's talk about the color filter camera, which is interesting. Because initially when OnePlus talked about this color filter camera, I'll be completely honest with you, me as well as many of the tech reviews really did not get it. It's like, what is the point of this camera? Personally speaking, I used it a couple of times, and I did not really use it after that. This color photo camera could see through sets of materials. Some light plastics and things like that. And not everyone really picked up on that initially, but just a couple of weeks ago, this did get picked up on social media by many people. And I was kind of thinking that, why did OnePlus not really advertise this as a feature, right? Because then it would have made a lot more sense. Okay, we've got this color filter camera, which is going to be something that's going to be quite trippy and you might be able to see through certain objects and things like that. However, that quickly changed because I then realized that there was a lot of people that were not happy about this because of privacy and the fact that you could potentially see through some very thin materials such as a t-shirt or something. Now are people going to be pointing this at others to try to see through their clothes? I really doubt it. Is it going to be a problem for OnePlus?

Well, yes, it is a problem for OnePlus and as far as I'm aware, right now they have updated software on at least the Chinese models to disable this temporarily. So generally speaking, I think this is a feature that is still a gimmick. I mean even if you could see through some items, I'd still only use it once or twice and I'd forget about it, right? It's not something that you're going to be using every single day. Instead, I think OnePlus should have spent their time on the front facing camera. Now don't get me wrong, the front facing camera is actually quite good. You get lots of detail. Dynamic range is actually really good too, but I have found that it can overexpose in certain situations. This is something that OnePlus devices previously have done a little bit too. It's not always, but in certain situations I just find that it's just completely washed me out. So this is something that I am hoping can be improved. But one thing that the OnePlus 8 Pro is definitely missing, which other flagship devices, even half the price of this are offering, is a 4K front facing camera. Now when it comes to video, I've have said this many times before, but the iPhone does have my favorite video camera on any Smartphone. One of the reasons for that is consistency. You could be shooting from the front facing camera or any of the rear facing cameras for photos or videos and then you can match that footage up later on and then you have consistency. On the OnePlus 8 Pro, you've got a max of 10 ATP.

So if I'm shooting some video from the front facing camera and then I switched to the rear facing camera, I'm not going to be able to put that footage together. It's not going to be the same resolution. I'll have to downscale my footage from the rear facing cameras. So this is an area that I am a little bit disappointed about for a flagship device in 2020. I really think that it should have had 4K from the front facing camera. Video from rear facing camera is actually quite good. And we also have an HDR option, which does definitely make a difference for dynamic range. So generally speaking, the cameras are really good. They are up to the competition in many ways, but there is definitely room for improvement. Now let's talk a little bit about the performance. So OnePlus has always been known for having some of the fastest Smartphone out there. A lot of that is thanks to the hardware, but a lot of that is also thanks to the software. So this is powered by the latest and greatest. So we've got the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip set. We do have UFS 3.0 storage, LP, DDR five Ram. So personally speaking, I've had no problems whatsoever in terms of speed and performance. This is a very fast and smooth device like OnePlus say. And a lot of that is thanks to the software as well as the higher refresh rate screen. The software is one of my favorite skins on Android, OxygenOS. It's really clean. It's really simple. There's not too much on here that you don't really need and as a lot of you guys probably already know, OnePlus is really good with updates. I've already had multiple updates on my OnePlus 8 Pro and it's only been around a couple of months. So this is something that I'm very confident, OnePlus is going to carry on doing. Bringing updates to the device and bringing a lot of these improvements. One improvement that I would like to see however is better one handed usage.

So let me give you an example here. So this is my home screen and you can see that I've got lots of icons in here, but they're all very spaced out vertically. So if I am holding the device in one hand, I can't necessarily reach the icon style all the way at the top. They are out of reach because of the layout. Now if I compare the same icons on something like the Galaxy S20 Ultra, you will see that the icons are much lower even though they are the same icons, everything is the same, but they are much lower. And that's something that I really like about (mumbles). That consideration of one handed usage. So hopefully OnePlus can improve the software here. So it is generally better for one-handed usage. This is a large display device. For the speakers, we do have one in the earpiece and one bottom firing and they do sound really good. I've not really got any complaints with the speakers. Now let's talk about the battery life. So the battery life has actually been really good in my experience. And that is at maximum setting. So I am using Quad HD plus resolution with 120 hertz and this has managed to get me through the day and pretty much all occasions. We're talking around five to six hours of screen on time. So personally speaking, I've not got any real complaints of the battery life. And of course OnePlus very fast with charging, you do get a 30 watt charger out of the box, which tops this up very fast. But for the first time on OnePlus device, we finally have wireless charging. This is something that I used to miss massively on OnePlus devices and it is finally here. And it works really well. You can get a very fast 30 watt wireless charger, but that is something that you're going to have to buy separately. It is a propriety OnePlus charger. I don't really think you need to get it. I mean it's really nice to have, don't get me wrong, but it's quite big and it's got a fan and honestly speaking, I think wireless charging is more about convenience.

This device lasts me through the day generally, so I can just drop this on a wireless charger before I'm about to go to bed and I can wake up to it charged. So I don't really have to worry about that. And I think that's how most modern flagships should be. They should last you the day. And the wireless charging thing is more of a convenience. So yes, if you really do want those super fast wireless charging speeds, you can go ahead and buy the 30T wireless charger. But any general cheat enabled wireless charger is going to work absolutely fine with the OnePlus 8 Pro. It's just not going to be as fast of course. Now we also do have a support for reverse wireless charging where you can charge another device on the back of the OnePlus 8 Pro. This is quite slow however. Slower than some of the competition, so it's not really something that I found myself using much. Now the OnePlus 8 Pro does have support for 5G. I've not really been able to test this much because 5G is still not fully in my area and of course I've not really been at traveling out and about as much. One good thing is that you do have the dual SIM support and you can have two 5G sims in here. Although you'll only be able to use 5G on one sim at one time. Still really good to have. And the fact that we do have 5G does have an impact on the price. So the price of the OnePlus 8 Pro is now starting at 800 pounds or $900. So it's definitely up there with the competitive flagships. So traditionally, OnePlus devices have been quite a bit cheaper and it's been very easy to recommend OnePlus devices over others purely because of the price. This year, that is much more difficult. Can I still recommend this at the price point? Yes, I really think that OnePlus 8 Pro overall despite some of the issues is a very good Smartphone and it's something that I think most people would really like.

But at the same time there is a lot of competition at this price bracket. If you look at the likes of the S20 for example, that will be retailing for around this price, now that it has been out for a couple of months. So it's really going to be a question of do you want to go with one of these other devices? Or do you want to go with this? However, if you're in India, then the decision is going to be a lot easier because the OnePlus 8 Pro is actually a lot cheaper in India compared to everywhere else. Now I think this is partly because OnePlus devices are hugely popular in India. We've already heard before, that OnePlus is the number one premium Smartphone brand in India. And it looks like OnePlus has really worked hard to get the price down in India particularly, which is kind of unfair on the rest of the world. Let's be real. But regardless if you are in India, then I think you're really going to like this deal in comparison to lots of other premium flagship devices out there. That's what I think about the OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus 8 Android smartphone review

The OnePlus device for people that want this year's model, but maybe aren't into a number of the wackier ideas that OnePlus is experimenting with its Pro models. It starts at $699, which is$200 less than the Pro device, but all of the OnePlus essentials are still here. It's still got a great screen. It's still got great battery life. It's fast charging, it's still fast, and it's taking on Android is still just as clean as ever. And you're getting a screen with a 90-hertz refresh rate, which is honestly, still so good that I wish it was a standard-issue feature for most modern flagships.

Now, if you think that sounds like a fairly traditional OnePlus device, then you're not wrong, but the difference this year is that with the 8 Pro, OnePlus has finally addressed some of those issues that OnePlus fans have been asking about for years. It's a device that really makes a serious attempt to break the OnePlus mould. The OnePlus 8 hasn't quite made that same attempt, but it's still a good phone at a good price, which really begs the question, is a good OnePlus device that doesn't break the mould worth it? Or do you need to spend the extra money on the Pro? (calming ambient music) But the OnePlus 8 is and a solidly-specced device. It's powered by a Snapdragon 865, starts with eight gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage, but I have been employing a model with 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of storage. There's 5G onboard, Wi-Fi6, all that good stuff, and that's a lot of spec for $699. Especially compared to, oh, I don't know, the, pretty much identically priced entry-level iPhone 11.

So essentially, you're getting most of the internal specs of the OnePlus 8 Pro in the OnePlus 8. The exception that OnePlusis keen to emphasize is that the Pro is using LPDDR5 RAM, while the 8 is using LPDDR4X, but I struggled to notice the difference in real-world usage. I mean, the two phones even look damn near identical from the front because they both have that same hole-punch, selfie cutout at the top left of the screen. Yes, the OnePlus 8 screen is ever so slightly smaller at 6.55 inches, compared to the 6.78 inches on the Pro, but the two phones are basically the same width, so they don't really feel any different to hold. I mean, seriously, when I was taking comparison photographs, I occasionally forgot which one was which. I will say that the OnePlus 8 screen seems to curve ever so slightly less around the sides of the device, which is maybe why I didn't experience the accidental touch issues that Dieter had with the Pro, but honestly, it's really subtle, and you have to really be looking for it to actually notice it.

All of which is to say, the OnePlus 8 is not a device to get if you're after a smaller phone. Personally, I'd love to see OnePlus experiment with a smaller device, but hey, maybe that's just me. Of course, the screens aren't actually identical. With the 8, you're getting a 1080p, 90-hertz display, with a peak brightness of 1100 nits. Meanwhile, the 8 Pro goes up to 1440p, 120 hertz, and 1300 nits peak brightness. But please, don't let this numbers-to-numbers spec comparison lead you to believe that the 8 has a bad screen. It doesn't, it's great, it's bright, it's vibrant, and it's yet more evidence that OnePlus really, really knows how to put the right display on a phone. Even compared to the 8 Pro, the 8's display still feels smooth. It took me sitting with both phones side-by-side to spot the difference, and even then, it wasn't a night and day comparison. The phone feels nice and snappy to use. Apps open quickly, games run well. You're getting a flagship android experience here. Oh, and Oxygen OS is just as out of the way as ever, which is exactly what I want out of a manufacturer's operating system.

I'm looking at you, LG. (calming music) So I've been scurrying around the issue for a little while, but what are the differences between the 8 and the 8 Pro that actually matter? Well, to my mind, there are three main differences that you need to worry about. The OnePlus 8 doesn't wireless charging. It doesn't do the fancy 30 watt wireless charging, the OnePlus 8 Pro, and it doesn't do the more basic five-watt wireless charging that basically every other flagship device does at this point. You already know if it's a feature you want or not, so I'm not gonna labour the point too much other than to say that its still a bit of a bummer. It also doesn't have an official IP rating, which wouldn't be surprising coming from OnePlus, apart from the fact, the company has finally relented and actually added one to the 8 Pro. And yeah, the company claims that it'll still survive being used in the rain and whatever, but come on. And also, finally, the camera's different. So let's dig in. There's good news and there's bad news contained within this triple-camera array, which consists of a 48-megapixel main camera, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a two-megapixel macro camera. The good news is there is no gimmick lens here. The bad news is you don't get a zoom lens. The macro lens is tricky, and you also don't get the main sensor that's quite as good as the 8 Pro. It's still 48 megapixels, which yeah, is the same, but long story short, it's an older sensor, and it's just, well, see for yourself. In bright conditions, I think it holds up well against both the OnePlus8 Pro and the Pixel 3 I happen to have for comparison's sake.

If you check out these shots I took during my government-sanctioned walk around the block, I'll be well-pressed to tell a difference between the 8 and the 8 Pro, and the Pixel 3's images have a slightly softer look in comparison. Look at this picture of a car and you'll see the hedge behind it tints slightly yellower on the 8 compared to the Pro, but look, it's minor. It's after the sun goes down that things start to go badly for the 8. Things are just a lot brighter and clearer on the Pro. Faces can look a little smooth, weird and brighten, especially at night. Oh, and here are some selfie shots, and OnePlus uses the same 16 megapixel selfie sensor between the 8 and the Pro, so there aren't many differences there, but they definitely seem to be some kind of skin brightening going on compared to my Pixel 3, especially considering it's managed to correctly expose the sky behind me. Obviously, you don't get a zoom lens with the 8, but you do get a macro lens and, (groans) I don't really know how useful it is. Look, I'm not gonna deny that under the right circumstances, you can get a little bit more detail with the 8 than the Pro. I took these two shots from the same distance away with both phones with their macros modes turned on and let them do their thing, and sure enough, you can see a little bit more detail in the shot from the 8, but other times, I straight up got a better macro shot out of the 8 Pro, even though it doesn't have a macro lens, like with this horse head on a Venetian mask, which I just couldn't get the 8 to focus on no matter how hard I tried. Or if you're more of a video person, then you can see for yourself what it looks like.

This is from the 16-megapixel front-facing camera. So the easy answer is that if you want the better camera setup, you gotta go Pro, especially if you want a zoom lens and better low-light performance. But the much harder question to answer is how well the modestly priced OnePlus 8 competes against similarly priced rivals. And let's not forget, these include the entry-level iPhone 11, and honestly, I just don't think the 8 quite nails it. I can't really complain about the battery life in OnePlus 8. It's got a 4300 milli amp-hour battery, and I haven't even been able to come close to running it down with a full day of use. Although you can't charge it wireless, it supports Warp Charge 30T, which can charge your phone in around an hour. So this is a nice phone, but you already knew that. It's an OnePlus phone, at this point, there are just certain things you can kinda take for granted. It's got a great screen, it's wicked fast, it's solidly built. The camera can stand to be a little better, and for reasons that seem to apply only to OnePlus, it doesn't support wireless charging or have an IP rating. So yeah, the OnePlus do not really break the mould, but I don't think that makes it a bad phone. It just makes it a little predictable at this point, but that makes for a hard choice. Do you go for the predictable OnePlus phone, or do you spend $200 more for a device that definitely overcomes some of these long-standing issues? You'll have to watch the OnePlus 8 Pro for a complete look at that device's strengths and weaknesses. But a lot of the choice comes down to this, is a $200 price premium worth it for wireless charging and IP rating and a slightly better camera? Because if it's not, then the OnePlus 8 is a great phone.

OnePlus 7T Android Smartphone Review

It's a lot like one of our favourite phones of the year, the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it's a little bit smaller and it costs less. It's a follow-on from the OnePlus 7 that was available in other markets, It more as a successor to the OnePlus 6T from last year. Now don't let that lower price lead you into thinking that the 7T is a worse phone than 7 Pro, because in reality, between the two, it's the one that I actually prefer. (smooth synthesizer music) It still has the best parts of the 7 Pro. That super-smooth 90-hertz screen, fast and responsive performance, but it doesn't have the other things that make the 7 Pro challenging to use, like a giant size and curved edges.

It also has a couple of new tricks that the 7 Pro doesn't even offer. So let's talk about specs because when you review an OnePlus phone, you have to talk about specs. The 7T is a 6.55 inch 10 eDP OLED display with that 90-hertz refresh rate. So scrolling on this looks a whole lot smoother than on most other phones. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, which is technically faster than the standard 855 in the 7 Pro, but I doubt you'd really notice much difference between them. Either way, performance is still excellent. The 7T that will be available in the US has 8 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of storage. Other markets like India and China are also going to get a 256 gig option. The screen has a 20 by nine aspect ratio which makes it a bit tall, but it's noticeably narrower than the 7 Pro and even last year's 6T. That, plus the flat surface, there's no waterfall curves here, make it more comfortable to hold. But you shouldn't go thinking that this is a suddenly new, small phone from OnePlus.

This is still a big phone, it's just a little smaller than the 7 Pro. The display doesn't have a completely uninterrupted screen. There is a small water drop notch at the top for the front camera, because the 7T doesn't have the fancy pop-up motorized front camera that the 7 Pro has. Now OnePlus says this notches specifically 31.6% smaller than the notch on the 6T and the 7. And to be honest with you, I really haven't found it to be any problem in use over the past week or so. Now the screen supports both HDR10 and HDR10+ and it's 27% brighter in direct sunlight, thanks to a new boosted outdoor mode, which lets it get to up to a peak of 1,000 nits. There's really not a whole lot to complain about with this screen. It's bright, it's colourful, it has that fast refresh rate that's awesome.

Now it's technically a lower resolution than the 1440p panel on the 7 Pro, but I really can't see a difference in sharpness between them. Now if we stop staring at the screen for a second, which, I admit, it's hard to do, we could flip the 7T over and check out its camera system. Now just like the 7 Pro and a lot of other phones out this year, the 7T has a three-camera system. It's got a standard one, an ultra-wide and a telephoto. And they're all housed in this kinda giant hump on the back of the phone. It kind of reminds me of the old Nokia Lumia 1020. The standard camera and the ultra-wide are basically exactly the same as the 7 Pro's camera. And the telephoto is just a 2x zoom instead of the 3x that you get on the 7 Pro. You can expect the same kind of images from the 7T as you can get from the 7 Pro and I think a lot of people are gonna be really happy with these results.

One new thing that the 7T has is a super macro mode that lets you get focused really close on an object. It can be challenging to use because it's hard to hold still and get a sharp shot at these close distances, but with a little practice, it can be a ton of fun and you won't be able to get this on the 7 Pro, even though a software update because OnePlus tells me that to get this to work, it requires some special hardware that the 7 Pro just doesn't have. Another thing that the 7 Pro doesn't have is Warp Charge 30 plus, which is the latest version of OnePlus's proprietary fast-charging system. The company says it's up to 23% faster than the Warp Charge 30 that's on the Pro, and it should charge the 7T's battery from zero to 100 in just 60 minutes. In my test, I was able to go from 22 to 87% in just 30 minutes, which is really impressive.

But just know that, in order to get those speeds, you're going to have to use the included brick and cable that came in the box with the 7T. The 7T is launching with Android 10 and OnePlus's Oxygen OS 10, making it one of the first phones to launch with Google's latest software. Now you can choose between Android 10's new gesture interface or the standard three buttons. But if you were a fan of OnePlus's old gestures, I'm sorry to report, those are no longer available. One new thing in Oxygen OS that I particularly like is the chromatic reading mode, which desaturates the screen to make it easier to read, but it doesn't turn it fully monochrome like before. Now I like using this when I'm using Pocket or the Kindle app and doing a lot of reading, but if you prefer the older, full-style monochrome version, you can choose that if you want to. So, what's not to love with the 7T? Well, for starters, I'm only seeing average battery life with it, which is about four to five hours of screen time.

Even though this thing has a big 3800 milli amp-hour battery. I don't think this is a huge problem and I think most people will be able to get through a full day with the 7T, but if you saw that stat and were hoping for a multi-day monster, this ain't it. It's clear that the 90-hertz screen does take a hit on battery life, but I think it's totally worth the trade. The 7T also has familiar OnePlus complaints. It doesn't support wireless charging, which might not matter to you, but matters to me. It doesn't have a rated official IP rating for water and dust resistance, and you can't expand the storage with a micro SD card. It also tends to aggressively shut down apps when I'm not using them, which is something the company says it'll be addressing in future software updates, but it just hasn't yet. I mostly notice this when I'm using Android messages on my computer and I can't send or receive new messages until I wake up the 7T on my desk. But I can forgive and forget a lot of those things when I consider the fact that I'm getting this screen and this performance for 600 bucks. We're expecting Google to puta similar 90-hertz display in the upcoming Pixel 4, but I guarantee that won't be available for anywhere near the price of the 7T. In fact, when I compare the 7T to any other phone right now, even the 7 Pro, I'm not sure anything else can touch this combination of display, performance and price.
