The fact is that things will not get better until you go ahead and get yourself moving forward. The best time to start is always now. For no matter what the outside circumstances may be, the most effective strategy is to get your inner strength revved up and rolling right away. If you're waiting for things to be perfect, you'll wait forever. Instead, grab hold of what is here and now and find a way to make positive use of it. Though your excuses for delaying may be very reasonable and impressive, those excuses won't move you forward. Circumstances will improve when you make the effort to improve them. Even the smallest effort is much better than doing nothing. And small efforts that bring results will motivate you to take bigger, more effective steps. You know from experience that you can do what you set your mind to do. Set your mind on the best of what can be, and savor the challenge of making it happen.

POSITIVE QUOTE OF THE DAY :

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” ~ Helen Keller (1880-1968) American Writer
"Love is made visible by the infinite acts of kindness and service we do for others.” ~ David Boufford
“Gratitude is what defines a successful life.” ~ David Boufford
“Realize that good is present in your life right now and more will be added onto you.” ~ David Boufford
"Do not wait; the time will never be 'just right.' Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along." ~Napoleon Hill
"When you regularly take continuous action toward your most important goals, you activate the Momentum Principle of success. This principle says that although it may take tremendous amounts of energy to overcome inertia and get started initially, it then takes far less energy to keep going." ~Brian Tracy - Eat That Frog!

SUCCESS :

“Courage to start and willingness to keep everlasting at it are the requisites for success.” - Alonzo Newton Benn
“The most absurd and reckless aspirations have sometimes led to extraordinary success.” - Vauvenargues
"Four short words sum up what has lifted most successful individuals above the crowd: a little bit more. They did all that was expected of them and a little bit more." - Lou Vickery
"I would rather fail trying than succeed at doing nothing." - Denis Waitley

MAKE IT HAPPEN :

“Every time I've made a big decision in my life, it's been about letting in the possibility that maybe I could do something that I actually wanted to do and not letting people tell me that I should compromise, or that it's too big of a dream.” ~ Stephanie Savage
“Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so.” ~ Belva Davis
That's an easy decision. Anyone would choose the first alternative without even thinking about it. In fact, you do have that choice. It isn't usually presented to you in such a momentous way, and it never comes as a single choice. Rather, the quality and direction of your life depend upon the many, many choices you make, moment after moment, day after day, which build on one another to fashion the reality of your world. The little choices you make, the ones that seem not to matter much, soon add up to produce big results. They directly affect the life you live. Over the course of every day, you're presented with an overwhelming number of choices. As you make these choices, keep yourself clearly focused on where you want your life to go. Make the appropriate choices, one by one, day after day, and you will be headed powerfully in the direction of your own choosing.

Positive quote of the day:

“To live in the presence of great truths and eternal laws, to be led by permanent ideals - that is what keeps a man patient when the world ignores him, and calm and unspoiled when the world praises him.” ~ Honore De Balzac (1799-1850) French Novelist
“Take time to gather up the past so that you will be able to draw from your experience and invest them in the future.” ~ Jim Rohn
“Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.” ~ Jim Rohn
“You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.” ~ Jim Rohn
"Concentrate all your thoughts on the task at hand. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus." ~Alexander Graham Bell
"You should always focus your best energies and abilities on starting and completing those key tasks that your unique talents and abilities enable you to do well and that make a significant contribution. You cannot do everything, but you can do those few things in which you excel, the few things that can really make a difference." ~Brian Tracy - Eat That Frog!

STRESS MANAGEMENT

“For fast-acting relief try slowing down.” —Lily Tomlin
“Stress is an ignorant state. It believes that everything is an emergency.” —Natalie Goldberg
“There is more to life than increasing, its speed.” —Mohandas K. Gandhi
“I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.” —Jennifer Yane

WISDOM

“Colors fade, temples crumble, empires fall, but wise words endure.” ~ Edward Thorndike
“Wisdom is an affair of values, and of value judgments. It is intelligent conduct of human affairs.” ~ Sydney Hook
It's when you're already taking action. If you get the day started by doing a lot of nothing, the whole day is likely to go that way. Yet when you begin the day with a positive action, even if it's just a little one, you set the powerful momentum of effort in motion. Once you're moving and working and creating and achieving, you'll tend to keep it up. That's why it is so important to get started early in the day. What happens when you've just experienced how good it feels to get something done? You become eager to do more, so you can create that great feeling again. There is some little something you can do right now that will give you a taste of accomplishment. Do it, feel the good feeling, and notice how motivated you become to do even more. There's always a quick way to create the momentum of effort in your life. Get yourself going with positive action, and put that momentum of effort and achievement to work for you.

POSITIVE QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Anyone can sympathize with the sufferings of a friend, but it requires a very fine nature to sympathize with a friend's success.” ~ Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) Irish Dramatist and Poet
“True friends are those who, When you make a fool of yourself, don't believe that this condition is permanent.” ~ Erwin T. Randall
“Synergy is the highest activity of life; it creates new untapped alternatives; it values and exploits the mental, emotional, and psychological differences between people.” ~ Stephen Covey
“What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?” ~ Dr. Robert Schuller
"If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself." ~Eubie Blake
"When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years." ~Mark Twain

RELATIONSHIPS

"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down." -- Oprah Winfrey
“Good friendships are fragile things and require as much care as any other fragile and precious thing.” -- Randolph S. Bourne
"The purpose of life is to develop loving relationships, and to become a totally loving person." -- Brian Tracy
"Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by these." -- Susan B. Anthony

“To have big success, you must have big dreams, and you must be willing to take a chance.” ~ Sumner M. Redstone
“Next time you find yourself looking at a dream and thinking, "That's not possible," turn that on its head and force yourself to take the contrary view. Tell yourself: "Success is inevitable. Now prove it." “ ~ Curt Rosengren
All it takes is a change in your thinking. How do you grasp something that is out of reach? You expand your idea of how far you can reach. Achievement is not easy, but then neither is poverty, or anything else for that matter. You already have everything it takes to achieve whatever you desire, when you simply choose to see it. Every doubt you have is kept alive by your own thoughts. With a quick change in thinking, those doubts will vanish. Within you are great possibilities. Allow yourself to fully feel them, focus your powerful passion on them, and live them. Those positive possibilities can overpower any limitations. It will happen as soon as you let them.
Positive quote of the day:

“Slight not what is near though aiming at what is far.” ~ Euripides (480-406 BC) Greek Playwright
"Have the dogged determination to follow through to achieve your goal: Regardless of circumstances or whatever other people say, think or do." ~Paul J. Meyer
"Finishing strong in life, sport or business does not always involve overcoming a challenge in a moment in time. When you live the attitude, it becomes." ~Dan Green
"If you don't aspire to great things, you won't attain small things." ~ Jewish Proverb
"The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems." ~ Gandhi

SELF-CONCEPT/SELF-CONFIDENCE

“I don’t like work, but I like what is in work: the chance to find yourself. Your own reality— for yourself not for others—which no other man can ever know.” —Joseph Conrad
“None will improve your lot if you yourself do not.” —Bertolt Brecht
“In every person who comes near you, look for what is good and strong; honor that, try to imitate it, and your faults will drop off like dead leaves when their time comes.” —John Ruskin
“Every man stamps his value on himself.... Man is made great or small by his own will.” —J.C.F. von Schiller
LIFE
“We don't beat the reaper by living longer; we beat the reaper by living well and living fully.” ~ Randy Pausch
“During my long life, I have learned one lesson: that the most important thing is to realize why one is alive--and I think it is not only to build bridges or tall buildings or make money, but to do something truly important, to do something for humanity. To bring joy, hope, to make life richer for the spirit because you have been alive, that is the most important thing.” ~ Artur Rubinstein

What you happen upon, seemingly by blind chance, has a reason. In all that you experience is the voice of your most authentic self, carrying an important, appropriate and timely message. Listen, and seek to lovingly understand what the experience of each moment is saying. All the wisdom you've collected is speaking to you. All the possibilities that spread out in front of you, are calling to you. It is not by coincidence that you are where you are. A whole set of thoughts, intentions and experiences brought you here. All that you have learned and all that you have been through culminate in this place now. It is a rich and entirely meaningful opportunity that greets you and calls you to move forward. Take the cue, feel the message of this moment, and go with it. In this time and this place, this life is yours with which to do great things.

" Nothing Is Impossible " – Anonymous
Full quote reads " Your attempts may fail but don't fail to attempt - Nothing is impossible”

I had the choice of building two perceptions when I read this quote...

No 1: Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

No 2: In cynical sense - Whoever said nothing was impossible never tried slamming a revolving door. ;-)
But fortunately, life seemed to be much more adventurous and fruitful with the first sense... because I wasn't trying to test the prowess / authenticity of the quote rather tried to adopt myself to the kind of energy, enthusiasm, revelation it provided...

Also, some people use failure as an excuse to give up, to become bitter, or cynical. Other people look at failure as an opportunity to revisit past decisions and to devise new strategies. But what is important is, for every failure, there's an alternative course of action. You just have to find it.

Cribbing is better than haste, because it shows the fire in your belly to achieve more and of course if you really deserve it ... - Just believe in yourself and be honest with your approach - You will certainly find a solution... Remember, when you come to a roadblock, take a detour

That's what learning is, after all; Life is like a ballet of games and we have many choices , it's not whether we lose the game, but how we lose and how we've changed because of it and what we take away from it that we never had before, to apply to other games. Losing, in a curious way, is winning.

You're doing great, so raise your expectations even higher and keep going strong.
If you fail to make as much progress as you had planned, don't get discouraged. Remind yourself of why you're making the effort, and re-commit to getting it done.
Consistent, purposeful effort will reliably bring the results you seek. On some days you'll move faster than on other days, yet every day you'll keep going forward.
Never forget that there is great power in small actions that are repeated again and again. Though the path may be long and winding and uneven, by continuing to put one foot in front of the other, you'll reach your destination.
Celebrate the small victories and learn from the small defeats. Then, keep on moving steadily toward the goal you've chosen.
Put the power of consistent effort to work. And each day, you'll bring new value to life.
That is completely for you to decide. What happens outside of you has an influence. Yet it is what happens within you that have the final say. You can choose to be brought down by the worst aspects of the situation. Or you can choose to be lifted up by the best positive qualities of that very same situation. What do you think about the possibilities of this day? How do you feel about the circumstances you're in? What you think, the way you feel, the things you believe combine to create the filter through which you experience life. What passes through that filter is exactly what you allow to pass through. You cannot change what already is, yet you can decide precisely what you will take from it and what you will do with it. No matter what happens, you have the power to make of it what you will.
Today, you can make amazing progress. Today, you can reach higher than you've ever reached before.
All your mistakes are behind you, and you've learned much from each one. All your experience is still with you, and you can use it in innovative new ways.
What is draining you?
Are there negative habits or thought patterns that steal your energy away? Make the effort to identify them and make the commitment to change. Are there people in your life who drain your energy with their negativity? Choose to get yourself more often around more positive, enthusiastic, empowered and empowering people. Are you being constantly depleted by your focus on the world's difficulties? Challenge yourself to identify the positive possibilities that are present in every difficult situation, and remember that the future is what you make it. Is too much of your energy being consumed by a particular shortcoming in your skills or abilities? Take the time to make improvements in those skills, and transform weakness into strength.
Whatever may be draining your energy, you can find it and successfully deal with it. Once you do, you'll find you have all that is necessary to accomplish whatever you choose.
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” ~ Helen Keller (1880-1968) American Writer
"Is there an ending to this story? Exactly who was it that saved the two billion lives? Is there a specific person to whom we could point? How far back would we have to go? How many lives would we need to examine in order to determine who it really was whose action saved two billion people...a number that continues to increase every minute? And how far forward would we need to go in your life to show the difference you make?" ~Andy Andrews The Butterfly Effect
“Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are.” —Malcolm Forbes
“Positive self-esteem is the quality of simply saying thank you and accepting any value that is attributed to you by others.” —Denis Waitley
“The core of your personality is your self-esteem, ‘How much you like yourself?’ The more you like and respect yourself, the better you do at everything you attempt.” —Brian Tracy
“No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.” —Eleanor Roosevelt
Meaningful challenges will awaken those capabilities and get them working for you. It is in the effort that you fully develop the ability to successfully make that effort. The way to know what you can do, is to do. Go ahead. Get started, and as you go forward you'll get better. As you go forward, your skills, your knowledge, and your effectiveness will grow continually stronger. In your commitment to take on the challenges, you'll find everything necessary to successfully meet those challenges.Set your goals based not on what you know you can do. Set your goals based on what you're most passionate about. Choose to do what you know, at your very core, you must do. “To be alive, to be able to see, to walk,...it's all a miracle.” ~ Arthur Rubinstein (1887-1982) Polish Pianist
“Faith is a passionate intuition.” ~ William Wordsworth
"The human spirit is nurtured by praise, as much as a seedling is nurtured by the soil, the water and the sun." ~Mario Fernandez
"Noted psychologist Dr. Abraham Maslow provided the most popular theory on motivation and its impact on human behavior. He wrote that all human beings have a hierarchy of needs that control behavior. Once our physical needs are met (i.e. food, water, shelter) we are motivated by what he calls our basic human needs. In Maslow's hierarchy, recognition, or the desire to feel important in the eyes of others, plays a key role in influencing our behavior at home and in the workplace." ~Tom Mathews

But then you would have wasted an entire unique and highly valuable day. You could come up with some very plausible excuses for not taking action. But then you would have to settle for excuses when you could have had accomplishment and fulfillment.
You could avoid the possibility of disappointment and discomfort by hiding away from life. But then you would miss out on all the beautiful, enriching possibilities as well. Choose instead to accept and experience the ups and downs of life as each moment unfolds. Decide to give your very best to the opportunity that is this day. Focus on a truly meaningful goal and put forth the effort to make it happen. Take bold, effective steps in the direction of your dreams. Life is far too precious to just ignore. Step forward, do what you know you can do, and live the richness of this beautiful day.
Give, and you receive. Teach, and you will learn. Offer encouragement, and you'll be lifted up. Listen intently, seeking to truly understand, and you will be understood. The way to improve the reflection is to improve what's being reflected. Be the love, be the compassion, be the strength, be the responsibility that you wish to see in others. Beyond what you already know you can do, there are exciting and fulfilling and new things you'll be able to do. There's a very short distance between what you think you can do and what you don't think you can do. That distance is the size of just one thought. Once you decide that it is possible for you, it is possible for you. Once you have the thought that it can be done, it can be done. The world you experience is contained within the world you expect to experience. Expect more, and suddenly a whole new set of possibilities will open up to you. Ask yourself what you would like to be able to expect. Then go ahead and bring your expectations in line with your desires. Each day is an opportunity to grow beyond yourself while at the same time more fully expressing your authentic self. Touch your highest vision, expect it to happen, and you'll surely see your way there.

Positive quote of the day :

“Don't wait for your "ship to come in" and feel angry and cheated when it doesn't. Get going with something small.” ~ Irene Kassorla
“To love deeply in one direction makes us more loving in all others.” ~ Anne-Sophie Swetchine
“Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.” ~ Abraham Lincoln
“Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier.” ~ Colin Powell
"Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently." ~Henry Ford
"When I'm making a decision that might involve risk (and as a life-long entrepreneur, I've made a few) it's comforting to know that if I fail, I'll learn something and move forward. You take action, and that action successfully brings a result. Success is not really something you must strive to create, for you are always making it happen. What's important is defining and intending the success you do create so that it is a positive force in your world. Many people are successful at just barely getting by. Others are successful at bringing pain and dismay into their lives. Yet the very same skills that succeed at creating mediocrity and despair, can also be used to create rich fulfillment. What's needed is not so much a change in effort as a change in focus. You truly deserve a great and wonderful life, and you have everything necessary to experience that life. Keep your thoughts focused on your most meaningful desires, and your actions will align with those thoughts. You're always succeeding at something. Choose now to make it something great.
Positive quote of the day:
"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little 'extra.'" ~Mac Anderson
"What I've found over the years is that most companies want to do the right thing. They know how they would like to treat their customers and their employees, but they have a difficult time communicating the message in a way that is both inspirational and understood by all." ~Mac Anderson
“The sun shines for all the world.” ~ French proverb
Think of all the value you've created and all the progress you've made. Through the minutes and the hours, with all the days, months and years, there is so much you've already done. There can be no doubt that you've made it this far. Now, you have the opportunity to keep going. Now, you can build upon the positive momentum that you've worked so hard to establish. You are well experienced at getting things done. Imagine what you can now do with that valuable experience.
Though the challenges may be great, you've proved that you have the strength and ability to move successfully through them all. And as you have already experienced, there are great rewards on the other side of those challenges. You've done much to get where you are. Now those same skills of achievement will take you wherever you wish to go.

POSITIVE QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Courage is grace under pressure.” ~ Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) American Writer
“I will take care of me for you, if you will take care of you for me.” ~ Jim Rohn
“Tomorrow is now.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
“Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.” ~ Anonymous
"Throw your heart over the fence and the rest will follow." ~Norman Vincent Peale
"You can't fake passion. It is the fuel that drives any dream and makes you happy to be alive. However, thefirst step to loving what you do is to self analyze, to simply know what you love. We all have unique talents and interests, and one of life's greatest challenges is to match these talents with career opportunities that bring out the best in us. It's not easy-and sometimes we can only find it through trial and error-but it's worth the effort." ~Linda Ellis and Mac Anderson

RESOLVE

“I like a person who knows his own mind and sticks to it; who sees at once what, in given circumstances, is to be done, and does it.” —William Hazlitt
“The one resolution, which was in my mind long before it took the form of a resolution, is the keynote of my life. It is this, always to regard as mere impertinences of fate the handicaps which were placed upon my life almost at the beginning. I resolved that they should not crush or dwarf my soul, but rather be made to blossom, like Aaron’s rod, with flowers.”—Helen Keller
“Resolve says, ‘I will.’ The man says, ‘I will climb this mountain. They told me it is too high, too far, too steep, too rocky and too difficult. But it’s my mountain. I will climb it. You will soon see me waving from the top or dead on the side from trying.’ ” —Jim Rohn
“Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing.” —Abraham Lincoln

THE SPIRIT OF FRIENDSHIP :

“We should render a service to a friend to bind him closer to us, and to an enemy to make a friend of him.” ~ Cleobulus
“One does not make friends. One recognizes them.” ~ Garth Henrichs

Decide in detail what you intend to do and commit to making it happen. If you sit around and wait for events and circumstances to pull you along, you'll end up getting nothing accomplished. If you have no firm and resolute plans, you'll waste all your time on meaningless distractions and interruptions. Certainly unexpected situations will come up that require your response. Yet you can choose to respond from a position of power and control, rather than from a position of weakness and ineffectiveness. Decide what you will do with this day, and get busy doing it. Make a difference, establish a positive momentum, and get your goals accomplished. Time is here, right now, for you to use. Transform the passing time into lasting value by making effective use of it. This day is filled with great possibilities. Choose certain, specific ones, and make the effort that will make them happen.

POSITIVE QUOTE OF THE DAY

“You see things; and you say, "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say "Why not? ~ George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) Irish Playwright
“The kinder and more thoughtful a person is, the more kindness he/she can find in other people.” ~ Tolstoy
“Remember every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.” ~ David Boufford
“Act with courage and dignity; stick to the ideals that give meaning to life.” ~ J. Nehru
"The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight but has no vision." ~Helen Keller
"'What could be worse than being born without any sight?' She replied, 'Vision is non-negotiable for anyone who wants to succeed. It is the blueprint of the inside of a leader, before she ever sees the plan on the outside.'" ~Marcy Blochowiak

PRODUCTIVITY

"Productivity is determined not by work... but by EFFECTIVE actions disguised as work." -- Doug Firebaugh
"Companies think they ‘save money’ by cutting back on employees who serve (help) customers. Big mistake. The only people happy about that are companies who have plenty of people (and make plenty of money) like Home Depot." -- Jeffrey Gitomer
"You can always find reasons to work. There will always be one more thing to do. But when people don't take time out, they stop being productive. They stop being happy, and that affects the morale of everyone around them." -- Carisa Bianchi
"One should guard against preaching to young people success in the customary form as the main aim in life. The most important motive for work in school and in life is pleasure in work, pleasure in its result, and the knowledge of the value of the result to the community." -- Albert Einstein
That makes it impossible to truly stand still. If you're not moving forward, you're falling behind. So every day, in some way or another, take action to move your life forward. Just a small improvement, just a subtle positive step, is infinitely preferable to doing nothing. Always, there is some little something you can do to better your life and your world. What can you do right now to solve a problem that's been frustrating you? What step can you take in the next few minutes that will bring you closer to the accomplishment of an important goal? There is something you can do, and those small efforts quickly add up as time goes on. So instead of complaining that you can't get it all accomplished at once, do a little bit, and then do it again. Always, your life is filled with energy, and is moving in one direction or another. Harness that energy, align it with your highest purpose, and proceed constantly in the direction of your dreams.
“Courage to start and willingness to keep everlasting at it are the requisites for success.” ~ Alonzo Newton Benn
“Love and intimacy are at the root of what makes us sick and what makes us well.
“The best piece of advice I know for dealing with change at work comes from flying: If you lose your way, keep moving -- no matter what.” ~ Christine Shipp
“There is no failure except in no longer trying.” ~ Elbert Hubbard
That's because when you focus on your fear, you give energy and fulfillment to that fear. The moment you begin to feel the fear of loss, stop. Take that powerful energy and redirect it. Instead of obsessing over what you could lose, imagine what you can create. Visualize the magnificent details of the best outcome you can imagine. When your thoughts are completely filled with positive purpose, there is no room for fear. Direct the power of your mind toward what you desire. Create a believable, realistic scenario that takes you from where you are to where you would most like to be. Expand on it again and again with rich detail. You'll encounter very real opportunities to bring your vision to life. Instead of focusing on fear, focus on your best possibilities, and as you do you'll make them happen.
“Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death.” ~ Thomas Paine (1737-1809) British-American Writer
“Happiness is never something you get from other people. The happiness you feel is in direct proportion to the love you give.” ~ Oprah
“We all have gifts and each of us must decide what that gift is and what you are going to do with it.” ~ Butch Lumpkin
"Put fear and self doubt aside and allow wonderment to win." ~ Mark McIntosh “The Comeback Coach”
Negative assumptions can become so thoroughly familiar and ingrained in your thinking that you don't even realize they're there. Assumptions guide your perceptions, and your perceptions determine the way you respond to each situation. It's important to make sure those assumptions are not working against you. When you come upon a situation that seems negative, challenge yourself to explain to yourself why you consider it to be negative. There's a good chance that you'll discover your own assumptions are making it worse than it really is. When you assume that something is distracting, or painful, or annoying, it will be. Yet you can significantly change things by letting go of the assumption, or by choosing a more empowering one. Just because you've always assumed something, does not make it always true. Make the effort to be more aware of your assumptions, and challenge them. With a new set of assumptions, the same old situation could be completely different. And you'll suddenly see a whole new world of possibilities.

POSITIVE QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Not a day passes over this earth but men and women of note do great deeds, speak great words and suffer noble sorrows.” ~ Charles Reed
“Love is like war: easy to begin but very hard to stop.” ~ H. L. Mencken
“Action is the foundational key to all success.” ~ Pablo Picasso
“A man of courage is also full of faith.” ~ Marcus Tullius Cicero
"There is often in people to whom 'the worst' has happened an almost transcendent freedom, for they have faced 'the worst' and survived it." ~Carol Pearson
"Dancing in the rain isn't something that most of us are born knowing how to do. We learn it. We learn it from others; we learn it from Life. The more we dance, the better we get at it. With practice, dancing in the rain becomes almost automatic. We no longer seek to run from storms... instead, we toss back our head, throw out our arms, pick up our feet, and DANCE!" ~Mac Anderson & BJ Gallagher

RECOGNITION

"The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread." -- Mother Theresa
"Appreciate people. Nothing gives more joy than appreciation." -- Ruth Smeltzer
"We can secure other people's approval, if we do it right and try hard; but our own is worth a hundred of it." -- Mark Twain
"Praise is a powerful people-builder. Catch individuals doing something right." -- Brian Tracy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FIND YOUR JOY

"On with the dance, let joy be unconfined" is my motto, whether there's any dance to dance or any joy to unconfine. ~ Mark Twain
“When you finally allow yourself to trust joy and embrace it, you will find you dance with everything.” ~ Emmanuel [Pat Rodegast]

It's a great strategy for successfully handling changing conditions. When something that previously worked no longer works, accept the fact that things have changed. Embrace the new reality of what is, so you'll have the power to work with it. Adjust your approach based on what you see. No matter what has happened to change things, there is always value to be found and always a way to utilize that value. Go ahead and take action. Your new approach may or may not work, and the way to know for sure is to move forward with it. Evaluate the results you get. Learn from what went wrong and from what went right. The world is constantly changing, and new possibilities are being born every moment. Accept what has changed, adjust to it, take action, learn, and keep going until you get the results you seek.

“Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles.” ~ Helen Keller (1880-1968) American Writer
“Look at people; recognize them, accept them as they are, without wanting to change them.” ~ Helen Beginton
“It is the very essence of good leadership to give away all credit for positive achievement, to identify only team goals and always to refer to them as such.” ~ Joe Klock
“An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.” ~ Winston Churchill
"Winning is not everything-but making the effort to win is." ~Vince Lombardi
"Unless a man believes in himself and makes a total commitment to his career and puts everything he has into it- his mind, his body, and his heart- what is life worth to him? If I were a salesman, I would make this commitment to my company, to the product, and most of all, to myself." ~Vince Lombardi & Vince Lombardi, Jr.

LET’S GET REAL : by Jeff Olson

"Okay, doubling a penny in a story is all very well. But I don't see anyone offering to double my money every day for a month, not in real life. Besides, even if I could get compound interest on a money account, how am I supposed to add up compound interest in health, or relationships, or knowledge?"
Fair enough. Let's change the question. Forget about doubling for a minute, and let's forget about compound interest, too, for the moment. Let's just add a penny every day, not double the penny. Do you think you could improve yourself-your health, your knowledge, your skills, your diet, your relationships, whatever area of life you want to look at - just one percent?
Wait - before you answer that, let's make it even smaller. What if you were able to improve yourself, today, just three-tenths of one percent? That's a 0.003 improvement - a very Slight Edge indeed. So slight, in fact, you might have a hard time even knowing how to measure it.
Now, what if you did that again tomorrow, and the next day, and kept it up every day for the next year? Remember, you're not going to add up compound interest this time, you're just adding on another three-tenths of one percent each day.
Here's what will happen. The first day you'll improve by 0.003, so little it will probably be impossible to notice. The second day, your improvement will be 0.006; the next day, 0.009, almost a full one percent. And by the end of the year, you will have improved by one hundred percent.
