DotA 2: Getting overboard over a "custom" map?

It's popular in Asia(especially Philippines), and in other countries in EU, and some parts of the US of A. To be frank, this game is monotonous, shallow, and as a matter of fact, the fanboys/fangirls think it's the next big thing after their beloved Ragnarok Online, and for some fanatical DOTA maniacs here in the country says that it will be the downfall of Blizzard when this game(DOTA 2) will be released in public soon.... Wow, that's just plain..... stupid.

Yeah, I know it's a team game, but haven't these people know what a true gaming sport is? Have they heard of Magic: The Gathering World Championships, or maybe of Warcraft, you know, where the sprites and skills of your much loved DOTA heroes got their skill concepts and character models, and oh, did I mention it's only a custom map? Yes it is, just like Castle Fight, Tree Tag, and Vampirism, with more hype than Justin Bieber's popularity(which most of these Filipino fanboys are craving, haha! In your faces!).

On a serious note, I play the game too, but I'm not blinded nor stupid to say that "DOTA is Warcraft", or "DOTA will annihilate Blizzard, because DOTA rulllzzzzzzz!" and any related comments inside those quotation marks. Hi-hi-hi, they(Filipino fanboys) are so excited to this game, maybe they don't really know what are the things in the gaming world that are an issue today, like this one bitch ranted about her date, who by the way is the immortal Jon Finkel, you know a MTG World Champion, and of course, the cancellation of the Megaman 3 Legends by Capcom, which stirred up a nerd outrage, especially the fans of this game. Well what the heck, as long as they have DOTA, and other mediocre games that is fed upon them, it doesn't matter. For them it's cool.

And oh, DOTA 2 only had better graphics, but it's still DOTA, that doesn't change that fact that "Defense of the Ancient" is STILL a Warcraft 3 custom map. If you don't notice that, then you're stupid.. That is all..... And you DOTA fanboys/fangirls from the Philippines, get a life. ^_~

Calling the attention of Square Enix, why not remake Rudra no Hihou(Treasures of Rudra)?

Face it, you cannot hide this game any longer! Before Squaresoft merged with you, Enix, they released this game that may be for me could surpass the popularity of the FF franchise, and in my own honest opinion again, could rise you up from your decreasing hopefuls that you(Square Enix) have built up throughout the years.

This game is sought by many gamers, and to think that you just keep on turning a blind eye on us, and not giving us quality games in the years past is somewhat a disgrace to Squaresoft. Rudra no Hihou is real hidden treasure, and too bad it was only exclusive on Japan by the time it was released, but come on, listen up! This game, if you will consider to remake maybe for Nintendo DS, or in the Virtual Console(translate it into English if it's the case), and I'm sure many would be happy to play this! I'm not kidding, even I'll get a hand on this bad boy!

Square Enix, hear us out! Please, there are somewhat fans who are still hoping for this game to surface in the international market. Please, listen to us!

Filipino "gamers"/"nerds" fanboyism: A disease that disgusted most of the gaming and other communities.

I want to be frank and I want to get straight to the heart of the matter. Most of the Filipino "gamers" are just nutcase fanboys. Yeah and I am not kidding, even my friends from other online gaming community are saying these kinds of things. And by mean fanboys(and fangirls), as in, real fanboyish over something that they are so deluded that games like Ragnarok Online was dubbed by most of them as the first "MMORPG"(I call it MMOPG because it doesn't qualify to be as a RPG to me, if you know what I mean), and ignoring the fact that Runescape(1996) was the first true MMORPG, followed by Odyssey Online(1997) which are still in existence, until to this day.

When it comes to anime, Filipino "nerds"(by this I mean fanboys too), Naruto, One Piece and Bleach are the best animes ever conceived. Wow, that's totally fanboyish, but I'm sure when their cosplay royalty introduced something new, they will not think twice and ride on the bandwagon. They also think that the TV show "Glee" is what nerds is all about, when they don't even have any idea what nerd culture is, and what it is like in other countries. Such delusion, it makes me puke, and it's also a sad thing that I have to defend that most of the time, while these miserable go-with-the-flow mediocre peoples' ears and eyes closed, because they think they are better than everyone else.

They(Filipino "gamers") also think, if most of the players of an online game, even it's an international or any non-Philippine server, are Filipinos then they will just ignore the fact that they are other nationalities playing and will flood the chat gates with Tagalog or any other dialects from the Philippines and going to say they "dominate" that game, which is by the way, one of the biggest, most arrogant, most hideous, narcissistic statements ever said by such group of people that call themselves "gamers", even though their gaming knowledge and awareness are limited, like a glass of drinking water.

Fanboyism, is bad, as in BAD(Powerglove reference, eh?), but my fellow Filipino gamers don't see it that way. They think it what makes them "cool", and "fashionably-in". Little that they know, that if you are a self-proclaimed gamer/nerd, you have to be open to new ideas, and face the fact that there are other games/animes/TV shows out in this world called the internet that are better than what they are used on seeing at. This have to be toned down, because fanboyism can lead to elitism, and if you don't get it, search on how many fansites are there, I'm sure it's not that difficult to do. You don't want to face this when you say something like: "Ragnarok is the first and best MMORPG evah!" or "DOTA is the best game in the WORLD!"

Mainstream animes: Too much, too overhyped, too annoying, too long?! or not?

I'm sure many are head over heels in these three mainstream animes, and mentioning them would make me stupid, why? Because they are very well known, and had a large fanbase, that if you talk about something that might be misinterpreted as a rant, these fanboys and fangirls are going to swarm you with hate messages/mails, cuss and bad mouth you faster than you can say "Game Over" in the game Silver Surfer(sorry for the AVGN reference).

But what I can't make sense at is, these three animes are like competing to one another, on who may have the largest fan community, popularity that causes division between anime fans who sees other animes than the ones in the airwaves, and the one who are "dedicated" to these animes that, if you're not one of them, you're against them. Looks like elitism huh? Well I'll leave that to you.

I know from the business standpoint, these three anime "giants" are having a "race" because they make them tons, and I mean TONS of money out of these, but with that, people who are so "solid" supporting and following these animes cannot see those things, and they think because it's famous, and it's well known, does makes them cool. Does it ring bell to you? Ok, send those hate artillery on me, I'll be glad to accept those, but first consider this:

Are you sure these animes are really "good"?

Is it worth "watching" or you're just going with the flow?

Does following these mainstream Japanese animes makes you feel that you belong into that community?

Have you ever considered watching other animes without comparing them to your fanboyism over the popular animes of today?

Are you really an anime otaku, or you're just a damn poser who thinks you are better than the rest of those who don't appreciated and disgusted by your fanboyish views?

We, the nerds can only watch these lovely ladies, can't even have the guts to talk nor approach them, because these ladies are too good for us. Is there any other reason, or maybe it's just me....

Well in this world, where being beautiful in the cosplay world means you are a "demi-god" or "demi-goddess", and we "low lives" are nothing but a speck in their majesty. But we're still hopeless regardless on how they treat nerds like me(this goes to my fellow male nerd brethren).

I know the issue is already 4 days old, and we nerds must move on but.... this is really a thing that we must not tolerate, nor ignore. The fact that the media is saying "nerds are sexy" and such things really don't translate into reality, when people like these are just around the corner, waiting to bait and stab a nerd in the back, and another fact this biatch insulted a legend himself in MTG, Jon Finkel is such a disgrace.

To my fellow nerds out there, don't be agitated by Alyssa's actions. She's not worth it. For those who are defending her, congratulations, now you'll really see how we nerds react on these things. Alyssa Berzenak is the type of girl that didn't worth your attention, or even talk to. When you encounter someone like her, make sure you invoke "Wheaton's Law", and be the bigger person. And oh, find someone that can understand your passions on games, especially trading card games(in my own experience, they are quite expensive, LOL).
