Can you guess this man? Is he 60 or 70? . . Jus in case you are guessing this person's age don't be shocked to know that this kid will hardly be a teenager and that he is suffering from progeria. . .
A topic that has very lately put me to
hard thinking is Amitabh's character in the upcoming movie "Paa".Cheeni Kum's Director Balki has given Amitabh a bulky role to perform. The fact was the photo which I saw in google news channel.
The kid in the photo
almost brought tears in my eyes. I was unaware of such a prominent fact(No calling names like disease. It hurts). Though many believe it was amitabh dressed as a progeria kid what matters to me is the pain of the kid. I was in a shocked state and so immediately i started browsing and found some traumatizing facts about this disease. Here are some details about this:
Progeria
is also known as "Hutchinson–Gilford progeria syndrome" and "Hutchinson–Gilford syndrome" is an extremely rare, severe, genetic condition wherein symptoms resembling aspects of aging that are manifested at an early age. Though the number of cases worldwide has been 40 plus but lesser than 50, I found a family wherein 3 out 7 members in the family had progeria. The origin of this disease is Bihar. The children age at a fast pace. I have shown here the photo 3 kids of the same family who are suffering from progeria. Look at the kids smiling in that photo. It gives immense pleasure in seeing it but at the same time it makes me think what is happening here god? Why these small babies! :(
Well,wanted to cover some more details about Progeria
. Mainly the symptoms:
A
s the child ages past infancy, additional conditions become apparent. Limited growth, alopecia, and a distinctive appearance (small face and jaw, pinched nose) are all characteristic of progeria. People diagnosed with this disease usually have small, fragile bodies, like those of elderly people. They tend to develop cardio problems also.
While browsing through the sites i dint find any treatments for progeria. I dont want to call it a disease. It hurts.
But i read about one particluar point that conveys that this is possible when parents are first degree cousins. I did not do a very deep research about this but I went through one organization in Kolkatta that takes of the three kids mentioned in the above photo. sbdevi.org
I would like everybody to support this movie and a sincere request to amitabhji and team. I know this movie wil definitely be a hit. Try to donate a part of the profit to the organisation where these kids are present. It would be so grateful of you to do it Sir! How should I define a Nurse?? The cute angel who comes and helps the patient 24/7 with a cute smile which lights up the dull patient's room. This is how I have seen in all the movies. But in reality it is a tedious and a critical job to be a nurse. How much does she take care of herself?? She has enough time to spend for her patient but does she have the enough strength and the time for herself? Scrubs is an excellent site that gives all tips for nurses to take perfect care of themselves. Starting with easing their mind to cleaning their nails to tips that'll serve good for their personal lives as well are explained. Hands are very important for a nurse. So it is very important that she takes care of it. Some tips like using a moistuizing cream at the right time and using correct shades of nail polishes so that she doesn't look like a witch or a scary creature to the patient. Usage of light shades are advisable and using essential oils to keep her hand soft are mandatory. Waking up as a bright and alert lady is ery important. She needs good sleep to make her look fresh and to make her feel comfortable in the environment. She should not feel frustrated with the patient.. So she needs to take immense care of herself. The most important of all is her correct diet system and the layer she puts between her personal life and career. She should be able to make both her career foundation as well as her relationship foundation strong.. How many of you know about the laughing buddha?? I guess a lot of us would know about him.. Popularly known as Laughing buddha. Hotei or Pu-Tai is popularly known as the jolly laughing buddha all over the world.
What kinda history does he have??
Hotei is based on an eccentric Chinese Ch'an (Zen) monk who lived over 1,000 years ago and has become a significant part of Buddhist and Shinto culture. Because of this monk's benevolent nature, he came to be regarded as an incarnation of the bodhisattva who will be Maitreya (the Future Buddha). His large protruding stomach and jolly smile have given him the common designation "Laughing Buddha."
Various forms of Laughing buddha

* Laughing Buddha statues depict a stout, smiling or laughing bald man in robes with a largely exposed pot belly stomach, which symbolizes happiness, good luck, and plenitude.

* Some sculpture has small children at his feet.

* Another item that is usually seen with the Laughing Buddha figure is a begging bowl to represent his Buddhist nature.

* In some scenes the Laughing Buddha may be found sitting on a cart drawn by boys, or wielding a fan called an oogi (said to be a "wish giving" fan -- in the distant past, this type of fan was used by the aristocracy to indicate to vassals that their requests would be granted). All of these images display Hotei as a wandering monk who goes around and takes the sadness from people of this world.

Unknown Fact:
According to legend, if one rubs the Laughing Buddha's great belly, it brings forth wealth, good luck, and prosperity. Hotei is also referred to as the patron saint of restaurateurs, fortunetellers and bartenders. When one overeats or over drinks, friends jokingly attribute it to the Laughing Buddha's influence.

Gifts are always special and they are more special when it is gifted by our special one. Sometimes we used to get gifts which costs more but not worth the price. But at times we get gifts which are seriously worth its price which means its of good quality. Well in that case getting any gift worth its value gives pleasure for both the buyer and the accepter of the gift.. Well in that case I want to tell some gifts which are seriously worth its price.. Some good looking key chains which is specific to a person's interest like for example a basketball player would like to show off a good basketball as a keychain or the popular sandals keychain and many dolls too.. Another fine example for a present worth $2 is some favorite chocolates. Some other gifts worth buying are coffee mugs and books and piggy banks!! Gifts are always special! :) I love getting it as well as giving it to my good and best friends.. :) If you like somebody and you don't know how to express yourself then give them a present as a token of your love they might like it.. But I am sorry there can be a lot of side effects at times!! This post has reminded me of the number of presents that I have given some of my good friends and the humpty number of presents that I have got from my friends. This a good rewind of some of my memories.. How about some precious gifts for the kiddos?? After 7 months of 'intense' training in mysore I am back here in Chennai.. Hey people don't think I was chucked out.. :P I got my posting back to my hometown and enjoyed last weekend at home.. Though the tedious phase of working in a project for 10 t0 12 hours,maybe 18 too, has not yet started. But its always said that 'idle mind is the devil's workshop', so I am keeping myself busy by going to each of the food courts so that my tummy gets adapted to some tasty food after quite some time and regularly visiting the facilities area to prevent my mailbox from overflowing.. Hee Hee.. Very Busy!! Scene thaan ena panradhu!

Wow!!! The taste of Big Apple and the scent of caramel and jasmine. These are the fragrances that I adore. I enjoy using Impulse... It makes me feel great n bubbly and fresh.. The limited edition versions of IMPULSE New-York and Paris are indeed the two set of fragrances that I have enjoyed!! I use them for parties with friends but I use Emotion de pierre cardin when its a eve with my beloved.... *blushing* Have you watched the movie Perfume:The story of a murderer. This is the first thing that striked me when I saw this topic!! :) I just remembered the curiosity of Jean Baptiste Grenouille to give the best fragrances to his master in order to learn the art of keeping the smell!! :) Some parts of the movie are really good.. Well after visiting perfume blog I have some more choices added to my list of perfumes that I should try out!!! I am a proud owner of a XBOX 360 and a PS3. I like to play games on both my consoles but with a lot of gamers preferring the XBOX, i have shifted a little bit of my attention away from my PS3. I have graduated and moved on to a corporate life. The difference has not sunk in yet. However there has been a phenomenal change in the way people view me for the past few months. Times have changed. They now consider me an adult who has the capacity to make it big in the world today.

This seems to be a change for the good. They think i am responsible. The tough thing is to prevent these new roles from getting to my head and sweeping me of my feet.

As the tagline in the Spiderman movie says " With great power comes great responsibility"; I know i have a lot of responsibilities.

Hello everybody. Welcome to the new Year. Hope all of You are having a great time. I had a blast on New years eve. The celebrations went on all night. My friends were at Times square. The celebrations were top notch. A lot of people had come to The Big Apple to enjoy the festive and merry atmosphere. The Clintons visited Times Square to ring in the New Year. People from all over the world had come to visit the excellent and grand celebration.

This time of the year has always been my favorite. It snows and the mood is excellent. i love the candy that santa offers. My favourite has always been the pepperoni pizzas. they just rock. I wish Santa could get me a year long free paid home service of Pizzas from pizza hut. 2009 would be fun.
