Greetings blog readers, it's Chris Maunder from ADD Specialists. In my first ever blog I'd like to tell you a bit about myself and give you a brief feel for my work at ADD Specialists.

I formed ADD Specialists back in 2010 having left the Regional Development Agency, Yorkshire Forward in the first round of redundancies. The ADD in the company name is an acronym for Appraisal, Development & Delivery and reflects both my experience in assisting clients at any stage of the project or programme lifecycle, and my approach to each commission. My commitment to every client is to appraise each commission carefully before paid work commences - clients do not pay me to learn about their organisation and operation. I am committed to developing simple solutions to complex problems. Finally, I believe in delivering solutions that exceed client's expectations.

My working life started in earnest after leaving Hull University with a Geography Degree. My first job was digging on an Iron Age site in Sutton Common, but after a brief archaeological carrier (for brief read a few weeks) I had the pleasure of picking cucumbers! Thankfully, I was soon able to make better use of my Degree and over a period of 5 years I worked at a range of major public funding distributors assisting businesses and community organisations access major regional, national and european funds. This included 6 years at Yorkshire Forward working first in the Rural Team and then managing the Enterprise Team.
