Tilda with Koala in pink

I got a new card to show you today! This is one done with the special made Tilda stamp, Tilda with Koala. They are so cute. On this card I colored my flowers to match the colors in the stamp, so they are done with a mist with victorian velvet. The papers are from Kaiser Craft and the text stamp from Stempelglede. The doillie in the back is Cheery Lynn and the swirl is Magnolia. At last, the border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Wedding Card with Nellie Snellen and Wild Rose

We are already in the end of the month and our challenge in Kortgleder is already over. But I would like to show you some inspiration for the Love-Challenge anyway. I made a wedding card. (Sorry for the blury photos, the camera was not my friend today). The papers are from My Minds Eye and the flowers from Wild Orchids Craft.

Here you can see all the products I have used from Kortgleder. The stamps are from Wild Rose Studio and the dies are all from Nellie Snellen.

Tutorial: Stationary Box (StampARTic DT)

Today I am going to show you how you make a stationary box. You can put what ever you want in this box, cards, notepads, pencils and everything. Under here you see the picture of the box we are going to make.

The first thing you got to do is choose your papers. I have used the beautiful papers from Maja Design. The good thing is they match well together as well as they have mixed patterens.

Start by scoring your paper at 5" and 7". Then turn it an score at 3" and 9" in the other direction. I scored at normal cardboard but you can also score straight on you pattern paper.

Cut on the two scoring lines like the picture is showing.

Add doublesided tape like the picture show you. Bend this one in and glue it down. This is for extra support.

This is our base.

Now we are creating the inside folders. Cut a piece of cardstock 8 ½" and 4 ¼" . Score both short sides and one of the long sides at 1 ¼”.

Trim the sides.

Add doublesided tape and glue it on like the picture show you.

Cut a piece of cardstock 5 ½" and 2" and a piece 4 ½" and 2". Score both pieces at ½” and 1” from each end. Add doublesided tape to outer pieces and attach them to your box like the picture shows you.

Now we are making the lid. I did cardboard in the lid to. I prefer to decorate the lid with pattern paper later. Cut the paper at 10 1/8” and 6 1/8”. Score at 2” on all sides. Fold ends up to form lid. (The pictures will show you what to do).

Here you can see the paper I choose for my box. The Maja Design papers makes it easy to mix and match together on your cards or projects.

Inside I decorated with a small rosett on the side. On the right side I placed a little notebook that I decorated in the same pattern paper.

Here is my finished box again. I added a big rosett on the outside to. Under the rosett I placed some Tim Holtz Photo-tape/roll. Not sure of the right name on english.

This is my finished inside. I made 4 big cards, 4 small cards and 4 tags.

Here you can see all the cards out for the box. The little pocket under the sentiment is for stamps ;-)

Blue Tilda Card

Last weekend I was so lucky that I got to go with Scrappidoo at Brisbane Paper and Craft Festival. So I did some shopping. Some beautiful papers, some amazing dies and some cute rub-ons. So this card was just to try out all the new stuff that I got. The doillie in the back is a dies from Cherry Lynn. The card is made out of XL-dies from Quick-Kutz. On this card I´ve also used the new Tilda that I bought for a couple of weeks ago. The heart in the back on my Round and Scalloped Spellbinders is a Kaiser Rub-on. Inside and on the back of my card I have also used my new Walzing Mouse stamps. These stamps fit perfectly in the Spellbinders dies. Here I have used Lable 4. As usual the flowers, pearls and brads are from Wild Orchids Craft.

Christmas Album (DT Scrapping Clearly)

As a design team member in Scrapping Clearly I get to work with some really nice, high quality acrylic albums. Here is my first finished album. This is made from the Christmas pictures in 2011. I was so lucky that my family came down to Australia and spent 3 weeks here. We had a lot of fun and hopefully you can see that in my pictures. Just missing some text some places, but otherwise this is ready to be sent home to my mom and dad.

The papers, flowers and other embellishments are also from Scrapping Clearly.

Lurer du på hva vintage er? Eller hvordan du kan gjøre noe vintage?? Fortvil ikke!! Vi i Vintage Udfordringen lanserer nå, Henrikke VintageSkole. Her kommer jeg til å ta for meg forskjellige ting som teknikker, tutorialer, tips osv. Vi vil gjerne vise dere at vintage ikke er en spesiell ting du gjør eller en farge du bruker, men at det finnes mange stiler innenfor vintage.

I dagens aller første time skal vi ta for oss det vanligste spørsmålet av alle!
Hva er vintage og hvordan kan jeg få tingene mine til se vintage ut?

De aller fleste scrappere/kortlagere bruker ikke 100 år gamle ting i kreasjonene sine. De aller fleste bruker forskjellige triks til å gi tingene dine en vintage-følelse.

1# Farge tager

Det første jeg skal vise dere er hvordan dere kan forandre fargene på tagene deres til en litt mer gammeldags farge. De aller beste tagene du kan bruke da er Craft Tags fra Ranger. Dette er fordi at de er laget til å ta til seg farge og ikke gå i oppløsning.

Lag en sterk kaffeblanding med pulverkaffe. Dupp tagen din nedi og strø over litt ekstra kaffe på toppen. Jeg lager tagene mine ligge i vannet natten over. Neste dag tar jeg de ut og de får tørke i minst 24 timer til.

Slik vil tagene dine se ut etter et lite kaffebad. Tagen på toppen har fått en dose kaffe over seg, mens tagen under bare har badet i kaffeblandingen.

Her er en kreasjon hvor jeg har brukt kaffetagene mine. Den er nede i høyre hjørnet. Etter kaffebadet har den fått svertet kanter og stempel trykt over alt over seg! Andre vintage detaljer på denne LO´en er bruk av gamle boksider, knørvet ark og bruk av gammel emballasje.

2# Vintage Spisebrett

For å gi dere en ide til vil jeg gjerne vise dere hvordan dere kan forvandle et helt nytt brett til noe som ser gammelt og vintage ut. Det du trenger er et serveringsbrett, spraymaling, teip, neglefil/fotfil og rub-ons.

Begynn med å teipe over de delene du ikke vil skal ta farge. Jeg har lyst at de rustede stengene mellom håndtaket å brettet skal være slik som de er, så jeg har prøvd å dekke så godt jeg kan med teip.

Her har jeg lagt første strøk. Her har jeg brukt fargene Ivory for å dekke over teksten som stod i bunnen av serveringsbrettet. Som dere kan de hadde brettet en gul/grønn farge da jeg begynte.

Etter 10 timer tørking og omtrent 5 strøk manling begynner brettet å bli helt hvitt.

Da tar jeg fotfilen min og rasper opp kantene på brettet. Ikke ta for hardt i, men prøv deg litt frem.

Slik ser det ut etter alle kantene har fått seg en omgang. Her ser du også hvordan vi klarte å beholde den rustene strengen mellom håndtaket og brettet.

Som en siste finish har jeg brukt noen vintage rub-ons på sidene.

3# Detaljer på kort/LO

Som et tredje tips i dag vil jeg gjerne vise hvordan små detaljer kan fremheve vintagepreget på kortene dine eller Lay-outene dine. Her ser dere kortene jeg har laget til dere som inspirasjon. (Kortet til venstre er liftet fra Beata).

En fin og enkel deltajer er rammer. For meg har deltajerte rammer ofte et vintagepreg fordi det minner meg om barokken, gamle store malerier og kunst. Hvis du har litt forskjellige dies er dette en enkel sak. Kombiner to av diesene dine med den samme formen, bare forskjellige detaljer. Her har jeg brukt Label 18 og Oval Spellbinders i lag.

Slik ser rammen min ut. Om du kjører gjennom og embosser etterpå får du en kjempe fin detalj.

Et annet enkelt tips er å brukt vintage bilder. Bilde i kortet til venstre er rett og slett platene til perlene jeg kjøpte fra Melissa Frances. Om du ikke har slike ting kan du enkelt søke på google. Husk å bruk engelsk da får du enda flere treff: Vintage Easter, Vintage Girl, Vintage Christmas osv.

Dette kortet er laget med restepapirer fra det første. Alle kantene er svertet i fargen Walnut Stain i tillegg har de fått revnet kanter. En annen ting du også kan gjøre er å sette fyr på enden av papiret ditt. Det gir en deilig lukt på kortet ditt ;-)

Brukt post-stempel og andre små deltaje stempel til å stemple rundt på arkene, på kanter og på skrivefelt.

Card with 9 masked stamps

This is a new card I made for Scrappidoo. On this one I used the new stamps from Kaiser Craft. I have actually masked together 9 stamps this on this card. The flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchids Craft. The rub-on is also from Kaiser. If you see on my spellbinder I´ve used the new stamps from The Walzing Mouse. It the border that´s suitble for Lable 4.

Artical nr. 2 - Maja Design (StampARTic DT)

Here is my first card that I made for the StampARTic artical in february. The whole team were so lucky to be sponsored by Maja Design. This is a feel-better card. The flowers are from Wild Orchids Craft and the stamp is Whiff of Joy. The butterfly punch on the sides are from Martha Stewart.

This is my second card. I have a real spring feeling about this. And it´s for all you people home in cold Norway. The spring will come soon ;-) I don´t know where any of the stamps are from I godt all of them. The stamp is colored with distress inks.

My last alterede project for our artical is this stationary box made for my mother and father in law. Clean and simple design on this one, and not any flowers or embellishments, but the rosett. After I took the pictures I places a little notepad on the right.

Easter Card with LOTV

Even another new card from me today! I don´t normally make as colorful card as this one, but it was FUN! This is the first eastercard of the year. I´ve used my new stamp from Lily of the Valley (LOTV). The sentiment is also LOTV. The flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchids Craft. And I´ve also used my new borderpunch from Martha Stewart. Made a simple inside with sentiment from LOTV and a simple backside with my personal stamp.

Folded card with Flower Tilda

The last challenge is ready for Anonyme Timeglass and it´s anything goes! But we still have to use the main theme, Love or Valentine. Since valentines day is today, I went with both, Valentine and love. I made a folded card which I found in Martes amazing blog.

I have used papers from the new collection from Kaiser Craft. The "Love" sentiment are also from Kaiser. The ribbon, pearls and flowers are from Wild Orchids Craft. And the main stamp is Tilda with flowers. She is colored in with distress inks. The color on Tildas dress is suppose to match the paper and it´s Peeled Paint and Stormy Sky mixed together. On the inside tags I´ve used my new stamps from Glitz.

Mother´s Day card to Grandma

Yesterday it was mothersday in Norway. My mom got a card on e-mail because I dident have time to send it to her: But I think it is a nice tradtion to give something to our grandparents to on motherdays/fatherday. So I made a card for my grandma this time. This card is going to Thailand this time. Anyway I´ve used products from Nellie Snellen and from Wild Roses. Go to the buttom of the post to see the pictures. All my flowers are from Wild Orchids Craft and so are the pearls. The text stamp in the back is from Kaiser and the "Happy Mothersday" stamp is from Lily of the Valley.

Shadow Box with Valentino

The third challenge at Anonyme Timeglass was "Hearts and roses". For me, the roses were perfect! I use them in every creation anyway. But I was stuck on what to make. I already made a heartbox, a card, a round box and a gifttag. Intill I visited my dear friend, Marianne. She had just posted this amazing box with a picture in the lid. Like a shadow box. So I started the project. And it took time. You can se my final result here.

I´ve used my new adorable Magnolia stamp, Valentino. He is colored in with distress inks. The papers are from Maja Design. The two sentiments are from Lily of the Valley. And as usual all my flowers, ribbon and pearls are from Wild Orchids Craft.

Valentines Box with gifttag, "You are my heart"

For the second challenge at Anonyme Timeglass we had to make something that was not square. So we could chose between oval, round or heart shaped. Since I made a heartbox the last time I when with a round one this time.

I´ve used to of my new stamps, Edwin with heart and the text stamp is also from Magnolia, You are my heart.. The box is made with a Martha Stewart punch, swirling lace. To the box I made a round gifttag with Edwin on. He is colored in with distress inks. The papers are from Maja Design and all the flowers, ribbon and pearls are from Wild Orchids Craft.

Mother´s Day Card and Heartbox

For a couple of days ago I signed up to Anonyme Scrapperes Hourglass Challenge. We are making 4 cards/creations in 8 days. The first challenge was to make something with red or pink as a dominant color. I´ve choosen pink as you can see. I made a card for Mothers day for my mom. And than I made a matching heartbox. This one I can fill up with candy.

The papers are from My Minds Eye, the stamp of the mouse is Whiff of Joy and the Happy Mothers day stamps is from Lily of the Valley. All flowers and ribbon are from Wild Orchids Craft.

The products used from Kortgleder is: MFD Heart, MFD Oval and MFD 2-borders, nr.2.

I also places this card in the Wild Orchids Craft challenge for the week, LOVE IS .

Romantic pink vintage card

Hi and good morning everyone! Today is a hot day in Australia, but I am spending it inside at Scrappidoo scrapbooking with some friends. Last night I made a new card. This is an easal-card in more of an vintage romantic look. I´ve used stamps from Stempelglede (the bird and the text) and on the sides I´ve used my new stamps from Glitz Design. They give the card a really vintage look. The flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchids Craft and I´ve cut some leaves with a Magnolia dies. The stamp is coloured in with distress inks. The border punch is Martha Stewarts Swirling Lace Around the page punch.

Bookcard (Vintage Udfordringen DT)

It´s already february and we got a new challenge at Vintage Udfordringen. We want you to make something in 3D. It can be anything, but remember, it have to be in a vintage-style. I´ve made a book-card his time. If you put it down on the side you will se that it looks like a book. On this card I´ve used papers from Maja Design and the stamp is from Stempelglede. So we are ready for a new challenge at StampARTic this month. This time you have to try something NEW. It can be anything, a new technique, a new way to color or just a different card. On this card I´ve only used papers from Maja Design. All the stamps are also from there, it´s the new Vintage Winter Collection from christmas 2011. The stamps are colored in with distress inks.

White and blue winter (DT Kortgleder)

We are getting closer and closer to february and we are almost ready for a new challenge with Kortgleder. In january the challenge was White and Blue Winter. As a last inspration before we head a new one here is one more card.

Pink Christmas Card

Today I finally finished all the christmas cards for "Hjertebodens Juleblogg". Every month you´ll make 3 christmas card. In that why you will have plenty of cards done by christmas and you have a chance to win the prize of the month. The first one I want to show you is this pink christmas card. I normally don´t do pink for christmas, but I was really happy how this one turned out.

The stamp is from Nellie Snellen, and you can buy it at Kortgleder. The dies is Spellbinder and the swirl is a dies from Magnolia. The papers are from Maja Design. The ribbon and the pearls are from Wild Orchids Craft.

I made one more card for the one-layer-card challenge at "Ett Trykk". This is a valentines card for someone special. The stamps I´ve used is Whiff of Joy, Henry with heart. He is colored with distress inks in just to colors: Walnut Stain and Victorian Velvet. The rub-on is from Kaiser Craft.

Giftbag (Kortgleder DT)

The january challenge over at Kortgleder is almost coming to an end, but you still have time to add a contribution. The challenge is: "White and blue Winter". For inspiration I made a giftbag in white and blue. I´ve used MFD008 and the new stamp from Wild Roses "Mia with Sammy". The papers are from Maja Design. The stamp is colored in with distress ink. The sentiment is from Maja Design as well.

3D-Butterfly (2)

Once again I´ve coloured in this beautiful butterfly. The 3D-effect is really good and it looks good on a monochrome background. I´ve chosen craft-paper this time. The rub-one is from Kaiser Craft again. And it´s even placed on the same place as the last one.

The distress inks I´ve used is: Peeled Paint (green), Fired Brick mixed with Barn Door (red), Black Shot (grey/black) and Mustard Seed (yellow) with a touch of Worn lipstick (soft pink) on top.

One-layer Card

Today I´ll show you a one-layer card. I never made this before, normally my cards would have at least ten layers. The challenge at "Ett Trykk" really inspired me. The snowman-stamp is from Magnolia (I got it from my mom so it´s extra special), and the textstamp is from Maya Design, The Vintage Winter Collection. The stamp is coloured in with Distress Inks.

3D-Butterfly

Hi everyone!

This will be my first post in 2012. Feels good with a break after a tough December. I had my family visiting me in Australia. Right now I have a lot on the calendar. Crop-night tonight, tomorrow I am holding my first class at Scrappidoo. In just a month I am going to Brisbane with Scrappidoo on the Brisbane Craft Show to help them demonstrate a few products and especially painting with the distress inks. Just got all my inks in the new Tim Holtz Ink Pallet. It´s really good.

Anyway, the first card is coming up. A little bit different card from me. This beautiful butterfly is painted with distress inks. The colours are; Stormy Sky, Victorian Velvet mixed with Worn Lipstick and the Dusty Concord. I will be back with the stamp producer. The rub-ons is from Kaiser Craft. Other than that, I have just added some bling on the butterfly.
