It is told that the buddha garden was build by a single man, if you take a tour there this is hard to believe.

Khao niao mamuang is the all time favorite Thai national dessert. The sticky rice is cooked in sweetened thick coconut milk, served with slices of ripe mango and sweet coconut milk. In Koh Samui there are many restaurants offering Khao niao mamuang but there are also big differences in quality. Ask the locals where they eat sticky rice with mango they know for sure!

Chaweng lake view is the home of the biggest open-air Party (with capacity of over 4,000 people) in Koh Samui. The party starts about 3 times a month and is one of the best Party´s you can get while your holiday, check out at Chaweng Lake view for party dates.

Many of the best Dj´s in the world are playing house and techno sounds the party starts about at 10 pm but i can recommend you to go there not before 2 am this time the party start to fill.

at Namuang Waterfall Number1 there is an Elephant trekking Camp where you can feed the elephants with bananas (20 Baht). There is also sometimes an elephant Baby and it is a lot of fun playing with the elephants for the whole family.

The elephants are directly left to at the car park after playing around take the walk to the about 18 meter high Namuang Waterfall swimming is allowed and the water is very refreshing!

Hin Ta Hin Yai - Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks

Hire a jeep or motorbike and explore the surrounding area of Lamai as there are plenty of interesting attractions to see. Ko Samui's most popular tourist sites are in this locality so if you're getting bored swimming all day, try some exploring around the area instead.

Between Lamai and Hua Thanon lies two famous rock formations: Hin Ta and Hin Yai also known as Grandpa and Grandma rocks. These formations look like the male and female genitalia, respectively.

What makes these rocks even more strange is that they are close to each other, giving way to a legend explaining how they came to be.

Near Hin Ta and Hin Yai is a small beach. It is not for swimming but it gives you time to cool your feet. Small souvenir shops sell clothes, postcards, drinks and snacks including the local sweet "galamae". Parking is convenient and viewing these popular formations are free.

The Rocks are not that amazing like it sounds but it is well visited and the view is amazing! I also have an Koh Samui Mostwanted insider tip for You, near the Grandfather Rock is a small hammock Bar build from wood. There you can relax and enjoy the view!

Koh Nang Yuan - Paradise Island

Ko Nang Yuan is a small island very close to Ko Tao. It is famous for its diving spots and its great snorkeling beach (where fish can be fed by hand).

Many day trippers come from the islands of Ko Tao, Ko Pha Ngan and Ko Samui, as well as from Surat Thani on the Thai mainland.

There is only one restaurant which is part of the Nang Yuan resort. It has a selection of Thai and Western food. One of the best dishes on the menu is the BBQ fish.

You can reach Koh Nang Yuan Island by many Day Tour Operators or you can Stay at the only Hotel on The Island the Nang Yuan Resort reservation is a must! As i have been many times at Koh Nang Yuan Island for snorkeling i can Higly recommend it.
