You will have to decide how
to build the model, how to incorporate the radio transmitter,
and how you want to paint it.

You will also have to decide how you want to power your car.
There are several different choices, and unfortunately there
isn't one that stands out as better than the rest. Each powering
method has its own benefits and tradeoffs that may affect your
decision. You will have to consider these benefits compared with
what exactly you want to do with your car. Here are the three
main ways that you can power a radio controlled car.

The first and most basic way to power a remote controlled car is
to have a battery pack running the motors. This is the kind of
system that you will see in beginning cars. If implemented
correctly, it can be fairly effective. Its main strong point is
that it is very light.

Cars using electric power can reach all new levels of lightness.
However, like all of the options, there is a tradeoff: electric
cars are the slowest of them all.

So, you will have to decide whether you want a light car that
handles well, or a speed demon that will tear up the
competition. And that brings us to the next choice, which is
definitely a bit speedier than the electric option.

Gas-powered cars are by far the most common when you are looking
at hobby grade cars. The equipment required to handle all of the
gas and combustion weighs quite a bit, and tends to make the car
less agile. However, it makes up for this deficiency by being
one the fastest choices. These types of motor kits are very easy
to find.

If you want one for your car, your best bet would be to look in
some online specialty shops, or your local hobby shop. While it
is not necessarily a positive aspect in my book, the fact that
the cars are much louder when they run on gasoline seems to
attract some people, who enjoy creating the noisy little
machines.

RC cars that run on nitro gasoline are quickly becoming the most
popular and fastest growing segment of remote control cars.
Nitro vehicles can come in many different forms. You can build
the popular and durable trucks that will take jumps at high
speeds and go on off road driving courses.

Alternatively, if you are trying to reach very high speeds, you
can build the type of racecar that is meant to speed along
pavement, tracks or other prepared surfaces. As with gas, nitro
requires the heavy motor equipment that some people find
cumbersome. However, they are perfect if you want to swap out
your electric motor during a race or other event.

If you build your car the right way and avoid attaching the
engine in permanently, you can switch whenever you feel a
different one would be more appropriate.

The average remote control enthusiast will accumulate quite a
few different engines over the years, and will become familiar
with which ones are best to use in a given situation. Tristan
Levis is the webmaster of unblock myspace

So don't worry too much about buying the wrong engine and being
"stuck" with something that you didn't want. Just consider the
pros and cons of each one, and compare them with your goals with
your remote control car project. Think about how much speed you
want, compared to how much agility or how much turning speed.

If you have a local hobby store that stocks all of the different
types of engines, then go in and ask to test drive a few of them
to get a feel for the type of engine. You will be glad that you
put so much thought into it.

About the author:
Tristan Levis is the webmaster of unblock myspace
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

A guide to gas driven RC vehicles

RC or radio-controlled cars, which run on a nitro methane-based
fuel or glow fuel, allow great power and performance. Gas
powered RC cars are often highly customizable, allowing
hobbyists to use a array of engines and design category. There
are even different types of transmitters available depending
upon how you would prefer your car to work.

Engines obviously, one of the more vital aspects of gas sun RC
cars is the engine. A array of different engine models are
available for you to choose from. Instead of the spark plugs
that a full-size automotive engine would have, these engines
have a "glow plug" that is initiated by what is known as a "glow
starter".

Fuel it's a particular fuel that is nitro methane-based and
formulated for the car's engines. Special lubricants are
supplemented to the fuel combination to guard the engine from
extreme heat and wear.

Radio The radio that you use to manage your gas powered RC cars
can be the similar type that is used to manage an electric model
of RC car. In addition to the battery that runs the radio
controller, you might find yourself in require of batteries to
give power to the radio receiver in the vehicle itself.

Sport vs. Competition a number of different options and body
styles present for gas powered RC cars. You can decide from
trucks, sedans, buggies, popular car models, and even stock
cars. Many of the vehicle types available commercially come in
two different version; a sport version, and a competition
version. Sport cars tend to price less, and provide basic
options that are popular with beginners and casual hobbyists.

About the author:
Robert is the owner of FlatFee MLS articles. Gas or electric? Truck or car? Helicopter or plane?
There are many considerations you must address before making
these decisions. However, there are 5 top factors that will help
you on your decision.

Battery or gas?
The major factors determining your
choice here are run time and noise. Gas RC cars, trucks, planes, or helicopters
are usually loud, even with a muffler installed. The advantage
of gas RC’s are that they can run a lot longer with a tank of
fuel versus a battery powered RC. The average battery life on a
RC vehicle will give you roughly 10 to 25 minutes of run time"
at full speed. Some radio control trucks and cars deplete energy
faster due to accessories like lights, horns and other gadgets.

Kit vs RTR?
When buying a new RC car or truck or
even a plane, there are 2 directions you can take based on your
patience, budget, and skill level. If you’re the adventurous
type and enjoy working on a project from beginning to end then a
Kit package is your best option. Kits involve putting together
the entire RC car, truck, or plane together from a box of pieces
into the final product, which you can be proud of your
accomplishment! Kit packages are usually more expensive but are
more modifiable. RTR or “Ready to Run” packages are ready to
go outside of the box. Charge the battery or fuel up the tank
and you’ll be enjoying your new RC within minutes, versus
hours or even days compared to kits.

Location, Location, Location Gas powered RC cars and
trucks require space and are not ideal for apartment complexes
or homes which could have neighbors calling in noise complaints
to your local authorities. Radio controlled planes and
helicopters need wide open spaces with little obstruction for
safe operation. Electric RC’s can normally be operated
anywhere as they are considerably less noisy than gas RC’s.
Another consideration is terrain. Is your RC truck or car an
off-road buggy or stomper truck or is it a track racer? For
example, street RC’s perform better and tires last longer on
pavement versus asphalt.

Wear and Tear
There are great deals out there on
unwanted RC models, however it is important to understand the
wear-and-tear of these vehicle before you shell out your
hard-earned cash. Start with the heart. That is check the motor,
the most important piece to the model. If it’s gas, check for
oil leakage around the head and base of the motor. Shocks when
worn out tend to leak oil as well so look at these with a close
eye as well.

What’s your Budget?
With prices for used buggies
around $75 to fully loaded USED RC Helicopters peaking over
$1,500, it’s best to have an understanding of your purchasing
budget, but also your operational budget as well. After you buy
your new or used radio controlled model the spending doesn’t
stop there as you will have maintenance costs for tires,
batteries, fuel, bushings, blades, servos, and more. Depending
on how serious you are involved with your RC model will
determine how much of an operating budget you will need.

About the author:
Contributor and frequent shopper of RC gas trucks, cars, and helicopters on www.kyosho-rc-store.com the leader in new and used rc cars, trucks, planes, and helicopters by Kyosho.
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Jot Down Your RC Car's Numbers

Think of the most important tool you need for your RC car both
on and off track. If you answered the motor, tires or battery
then you didn't get it right. Perhaps, the mentioned objects
have their own designated purpose and task for a remote
controlled car but for the hobbyist itself, a pen and paper are
two of the greatest tools ever.

Really, the pen and paper are the useful when dealing with RC
cars. There is no joke here since listing down the numbers of
your RC car is the subject; nothing else can do it better. Have
you ever thought of experimenting before? If you have, surely
you have also thought of writing down everything you discover,
right? This is actually the same point why securing a written
record of your RC car and its performance is very important.

Regardless RC cars, trucks, planes and buggies are customized or
not; they all have individual standard measurement. Along the
way, you will need to change some parts of your RC car to make
it run faster and perform better. It can be the tires, the
distance from the main body, the height and others. Elements
such as the batteries, caster, running temperatures and many
others are also important in the performance of your RC car.

If you still can't see why writing down these things are
extremely important in having RC cars as a hobby; try to imagine
a time you test-drive your RC car down a rough path you are not
familiar with (granting you haven't written down the numbers of
your RC car and performance for that particular time of the
day), when a huge rock came rolling down the hill and missed
your RC car by centimeters. Pretend the rear part has been
altered from its original state. How do you solve this problem?

The point is, anything that can significantly affect your RC
car's performance is important in improving it. So, for the
scenario given above (although we're not saying that it will
likely happen), if you have put your entire RC car's numbers in
to writing, it wouldn't be such a big problem. All you have to
do is turn to your record, and replace everything damaged
according to what you have taken note of.

About the author:
Racing Radio
Controlled Cars is a perfect site in the internet to learn
all about RC cars, tips on racing and maintenance.
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

The R/C Specialist

The world's premier supplier of radio control models.
rcx-hobbies.com has been serving R/C modelers since 1994 and is
widely known for its professional, premium service at
competitive prices.

r/c, rc, hobbies, model, hobby, radio control, radio, control,
aviation, pilot, military, airplane, car, truck, boat, heli,
cars, trucks, boats, helis, helicopter, helicopters, simulator,
mail, order, battlebot, battlebots, robot, robotics, real,
flight, pilot, model, warbird, veteran

RCX Aeromodelling adalah forum komunitas aeromodelling di
Indonesia . The 1/8
gas cars go 70 - 80 mph in racing competitions. Also called
nitro Remote
Control Car because the hobby fuel used contains nitro
methane to increase speed and power. Popular are the 1/10
on-road nitro touring cars. For beginners, electric remote
control cars are the best... easier to control, build, and
maintain. There are even ready to run (rtr) models that sell for
less than $100. But I would recommend better models such as the
HPI Sprint RTR and Associated TC3 RTR. Great reviews have been
posted in rc car forums. If you prefer playing or racing indoors
or have limited space to play, there are small but fast micro
and mini remote control cars. Popular models are the 1/28 Kyosho
Mini-Z and the 1/18 HPI Micro RS4. One of the hottest segment of
the hobby, and companies are scrambling to produce their own
mini remote control cars and trucks. For exciting dirt action,
the 1/8 off-road gas remote control buggies are the fastest
around an off road track. These 4x4 machines reach speeds of 40+
mph. There are also 1/10 off-road electric remote control
buggies such as the RC10B4 which are great racing buggies for
beginners.

The new craze... 1/18th Scale Mini Nitro RC Cars! I believe that
small, 1/18 scale nitro rc cars will be the next big thing in
the remote control hobby. Combine the popularity of nitro with
mini size, definitely a fun model to buy. XRAY is starting the
trend by producing a 1/18 scale remote control model car powered
by a nitro engine. So cool! Remote Control
Cars have arrived. Fast nitro RC cars achieve stock speeds
to 80 MPH+. Not into nitro RC cars? There are electric RC cars
too. Electric remote control cars can be used indoors and
outside. Electric rc cars, trucks, helicopters which make
amazing gifts for all ages. Whichever remote control car or rc
truck you choose, you will not be disappointed.

Lightning F1 Race Car 1:8th Scale RC Electric Car is a ready to
run vehicle, which means you are racing within minutes of
opening the box. The Lightning comes with all the batteries you
need, a charger and a trigger style transmitter. The Lightning
F1 Race Car is a very detailed car and at 22 inches long is big
enough to turn everyone's head. The Lightning F1 Race Car 1:8th
Scale RC Electric is super fast and won't disappoint. The reason for the surge in
popularity probably stems from the fact that RC nitro monster
trucks have steadily improving in performance over the years. In
fact, the latest models can actually outperform many RC cars.

RC nitro monster trucks can be bought either ready to run or in
a kit that allows you to actually build it yourself. Both types
are quality vehicles, built for strength and durability.

In fact, RC nitro monster trucks can handle an amazing amount of
hard driving and even though they appear top-heavy and ready to
roll over at any moment, the truth is that they rarely do roll
over. This is because the wheels of RC nitro monster trucks are
designed to provide a low center of gravity.

For many people, the appeal of RC nitro monster trucks is that
they mirror the abilities of their real-life counterparts. The
enjoyment of watching monster trucks comes from watching them
ride roughshod over any kind of surface, including other
vehicles. Well, RC nitro monster trucks can be let loose on the
kinds of terrain that would leave other RC vehicles spinning
their wheels. And, yes, if you ever get the opportunity, you can
drive your RC nitro monster trucks right over your friends'
little RC cars.

Although you might think that all RC nitro monster trucks are
4-wheel drive, you'd be mistaken. There are 2-wheel drive RC
nitro monster trucks available, and even some that give you the
option of switching back and forth. Just as in real life, the
4-wheel drive model allows for driving over areas that are
rougher or steeper than the 2-wheel drive model could handle.

So why would anyone want 2-wheel drive RC nitro monster trucks
then? Well, while the 4-wheel drive allows for more flexibility
in where you can take it, the transmission system is also more
sophisticated. Since engine maintenance is routinely required to
keep any RC nitro vehicle running in peak condition, expect to
spend more time and effort with a 4-wheel drive transmission.

But this drawback shouldn't be a deciding factor when choosing
from among the various models of RC nitro monster trucks. Engine
fine-tuning has never been easier for nitro RC vehicles. A
bigger concern will probably be price. RC nitro monster trucks
may have gotten their name from their appearance, but they could
just as easily have earned it from the size of their prices.

Here's the skinny: don't expect to purchase one of these babies
for less than $300. And, frankly, only expect that price from an
older brother looking to sell his RC vehicle so he can raise
money to buy a real vehicle. Seriously though, although
unexpected bargains have been lucked into on eBay or by someone
listing one for sale on a message board, brand new RC nitro
monster trucks typically list for well over $400.

About the author:
June Mala © 2006 www.FkNk.com
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Having The Fastest RC Car - Which Are Best And 6 Essential Speed

The first thing everyone wants to know when buying a radio
controlled car: which are the fastest RC cars? If you are
looking for a long-distance radio controlled racing car, gas
models are known to keep up the speed for a longer amount of
time. Nitro cars are great for any racing, drag or endurance. In
general terms, 1/8 scale on-road cars or dragsters will make the
best racers; able to run at top speeds of 70 miles per hour and
over. The Traxxas Nitro 4-tec, or Team Associated's Nitro TC3
are one of the fastest models available going over 75 miles per
hour.

One of the fastest cars recorded topped out at 111 miles per
hour - these things are fast! Cliff Lett modified his RC10 L3O
in order to achieve that amazing speed in 2001, certified by
Guinness World Records. You'll need to think about which cars
handle the best in racing conditions, so that you can practice
drifting with ease and precision. Drifting is an important
element in racing; the fastest nitro drivers will all have this
skill down perfectly. If you want to be the fastest nitro racer,
learn about drifting!

These are some good tips for making your racing career more
successful (if you want to break some records with the fastest
nitro, your car may well need some modifications!):

Use a motor with less than 12 turns

Increase
the size of the motor pinion gear

Use a brushless
motor

Use high quality racing batteries

Pick a
car with a rounded shape

Use special drifting
tires

Always remember to play around and get to know your radio
controlled cars before attempting top speeds and drag racing.
Tiny details will change the speed, and you will only realize
what these are after a lot of racing with your car. No product
comes with modification recommendations, but it may be best for
your radio controlled racing career. Just be careful!

About the author:
Lee Brain is a successful business writer and an expert in the
field of RC Cars and RC Trucks. Of
course, building a quality RC drag car racing track does require
some cash in the bank.

Finding a smooth, level area is the first consideration in
building an RC drag car racing track. The finest surface for RC
drag car racing is ultra-smooth asphalt; the kind found in
playgrounds and skateboard parks. Besides finding a level
surface, it will also have to meet certain area requirements.
Including a shutdown area, 200 feet is ideal; 150 feet should be
considered a bare minimum. You'll also need a width of at least
ten feet for each lane.

The ideal RC drag car racing track requires extra traction.
Although many tracks get by using a blend of sugar and water,
for the best conditions possible you should use a special
traction compound known as VHT. The problem is that VHT doesn't
come cheap; if you find a gallon for less than $10, pick it up.
Of course, you can always invest in a drum of VHT for somewhere
in the $750 range. Even so, a drum may only last you around ten
races. Because VHT is so pricy, most people cut it with alcohol
to make it last longer. Typically, VHT is applied only to first
60 feet of the track.

Of course, RC drag car racing wouldn't be drag racing without a
timer. Various types of timer units can found in most hobby
stores, or you check out eBay for an older system. A new timing
tree will probably set you back anywhere from two to three
grand; unless it's in mint condition, you really shouldn't pay
more than $1500 for a used one, and shop around if the price is
even that high. If you're patient, you might even be able to get
a used RC drag car racing timing tree for under $1000.

Although certainly not a requirement, you might want to invest
protection for runaway cars. The excitement of RC drag car
racing stems from the thrill of breakaway speed and often
results in out of control cars. You can buy and decorate boards
for anywhere from $250 to $500, depending on how realistic you
want them. In addition to protecting runaway vehicles, the
boards also serve to mark boundaries; they add realism to the
look and feel of the track that you can't get from using pylons.

These are the primary expenses associated with building an RC
drag car racing track. Once you get it up and going, however,
you may want to look into the cost of trophies, a lighting
system for night racing, and even cash awards. Of course, those
kinds of expenses should only be considered after you've started
bringing in money by charging entry fees for your races.

About the author:
June Mala © 2006 KEO Business
News
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Thrilling rc car action - 80 mph nitro fuelled fun!

Rc cars are cool! RC car batteries are
important parts because basically, your electronic RC car will
not run if it doesn't have batteries in it. On the other hand,
even if it has batteries in it, it should be the correct
batteries. There are in fact a lot of checking and testing first
before you put it to use for your RC car.

RC cars and trucks that runs electronically need to be the
rechargeable ones to compensate for the running hours of your
practice and competition duration. Since there are so many types
of batteries out in the market, you need to make sure that you
have the correct information regarding the needed battery device
for your RC car. So, first of all, know that rechargeable
batteries are the NiCD and NiMH ones. NiCD stands for
nickel-cadmium while NiMH is for nickel-hydride. Other than the
two, it is not rechargeable so be very careful with this detail.

The brand that you prefer comes next because there are
affordable rechargeable batteries on sale but ones which do not
meet the needed requirement for running RC cars and trucks.
Regardless though, make sure that you choose a battery brand
that conforms well to your RC car/truck's running time needs.

The battery charger that you use also counts and lengthens the
life of a rechargeable battery. Make sure that you select a good
charger that automatically stops from charging when the battery
is already full.

A battery pack has a specific voltage (V), power consumption (W)
and Maximum Current Drain (A) limit and so it is also important
for you to know these things. Take for instance the required
volts of a battery to run a RC car is 7.2. This is already good
for running a car for about 10 minutes but then, there are also
conditions which affects the running time of a RC car.

Batteries are usually sold by packs, each pack consisting at
least six or more batteries. The difference between the two NiCD
and NiMH is the shelf life of each. A NiCD can last up to six
months where as a NiMH battery can last up to 12 months.
Regardless, keeping your RC car in its most top condition and
making sure that you drive it with extra care helps your
batteries perform at its best.

About the author:
Racing Radio
Controlled Cars is a perfect site in the internet to learn
all about RC cars, tips on racing and maintenance.
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Volkswagen Formula 3 Engine Ready For Competition

In the past, Volkswagen has been an engine supplier for
motorsports but it pulled out in the 1980s. But the largest
European automaker is now making a comeback as it announced
earlier this year that they will be supplying engines to teams
competing in DTM. The announcement was welcomed by enthusiasts
of the sport who remembered the championships won by teams
supplied with engine by Volkswagen. Recently, the automaker
announced that the engines are ready to see action and it will
be used come August 31.

The new engine is a 2-liter engine with an output of 210
horsepower and it will be used on three cars. Maximilian Gotz
and Jonathan Summerton, both driving for Italian Team RC
Motorsport along with Marco Holzer driving for AM Holzer
Rennsport, will be the first three drivers who will be using the
new engine from Volkswagen.

Volkswagen Motorsport Director Kris Nissen said that the engine
has been tested already in the lab and it is now time to see
what it can do in competition. "The new Formula 3 engine from
Volkswagen has completed many hours of rig testing and reeled
off plenty of test kilometers on the track. Now it's time to
test it in direct competition," said Nissen.

Nissen added that the first races that the new Volkswagen
engines will be used will provide them with information on how
to further improve the performance of the racing engine. "The
first races are intended to help us assess where we stand and to
give us new information we can use in the unit's evolution for
the coming season," said Nissen.

According to the manufacturer, the engine that they will supply
to racing teams competing in Formula 3 is based on the design of
an engine used for production cars. The production version of
the engine is only rated to produce 150 horsepower but it has
the reliability that Volkswagen is known for. The engine that
will be supplied to Formula 3 teams uses lightweight materials,
has a robust design, and is compact. Although the racing engine
is much more powerful than its production version, it would be a
perfect fit for production cars which are equipped with Volkswagen splash shields
and other auto parts.

Jonathan Summerton have been testing the new engine on the
tracks and the driver said that the engine is performing well
and that he is now looking forward to competing with the new
Volkswagen engine to see how they match up against other teams.
"Power and performance of the Volkswagen engine are already at a
high level. I'm eager to see where we stand compared with the
competition," said the Florida native.

Aside from Summerton, the other two drivers will also be testing
the new engine for three hours on Thursday. Gotz said: "The
possibility to test suits us well because it allows us to work
out the optimal set-up for our car without being pressured by
time." Marco Holzer, on the other hand, said that the
partnership with Volkswagen is a step forward for his team. "The
collaboration with Volkswagen is a major step forwards for us,"
said Marco Holzer.

About the author:
Anthony Fontanelle is a 35-year-old automotive buff who grew up
in the Windy City. He does freelance work for an automotive
magazine when he is not busy customizing cars in his shop.
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

About radio-controlled cars, tanks, planes, helicopters and

Nitro RC Cars Nitro RC car or Gas powered RC car is a
radio-controlled model car that runs on a special fuel - a mix
of oil, nitro-methane and methyl alcohol. The ESP of a Nitro RC
car is that it is far more powerful and runs longer compared to
Electric RC cars. They are a little more expensive than their
electric counterparts - both to own and maintain. While electric
RC cars are ideal for beginners, Nitro RC cars are ideal for
serious hobbyists and racers. Basically, a Nitro RC car has an
internal combustion engine of 2-stroke or 4-stroke type. Fuel is
supplied from a little tank that contains its special fuel.
Normal gasoline will not work in these engines. It starts either
with pull start cord or starter box. As with real cars, these
engines have a carburetor, air filter and such other subsystems
of the internal combustion engine. They also have the universal
subsystems like, electronic radio control, servo speed control,
transmission / gear system, drive train, differentials, steering
system, shock absorbers, and batteries for head lights. OK, then
what makes an RC car so special and expensive? First, the
complex internal combustion engine and its subsystems are
costly, compared to the simple motor in the electric RC car. In
addition, the battery is a simple one time investment compared
to recurring fuel cost of Nitro RCs. Also, Nitro RC cars gather
more dirt and grease. More the running components in any system
mean there will be more wear and tear. Both these add to the
maintenance cost. But for the sheer power and racing range, the
Nitro RC cars are the leaders in RC toys. For your choice, they
are available in 1/8, 1/10, 1/12, 1/20 scales as well as mini
nitro RC cars. The 1/8 and 1/10 scale Nitro RC cars are popular
with racers and serious hobbyists. One can buy them in any hobby
stores or in internet commerce sites for between $200 to $400.
This is a hefty price, indeed! But it does not cost you a
fortune like the real racing cars, yet helps fulfil your racing
dreams. At 60 to 100 kmph speeds, they are very fun and
exciting!

Nitro RC Car Kits Want to buy a Nitro RC car? You can either buy
a ready to run (RTR) car or build one on your own using the
Nitro RC car kits. Why take those pains? Well, ready to run may
be a few bucks more and hassle free to run, but you would be
saved of many tuning steps involved in an assembled RC car.
Though a little of tuning is inevitable with assembled Nitro RC
cars. However, it pays to assemble one because it's fun and
economical too. Besides it gives you useful insight into your RC
car. The Nitro RC car kits usually contain the following.
Engine: Depending on your choice, it is either a simple two
stroke engine or a four stoke one. Its essential parts are
cylinder, piston, piston sleeves, piston rings, cranks, valves
etc. It also has the following auxiliary parts: 1. Air filter:
To prevent entry of dirt and dust into the engine causing
damage. 2. Carburettor: This helps control flow of oil into the
engine. It has a 'Low End Adjustment Screw' to make the engine
fuel leaner or richer, thereby controlling the speed and an
'Idle Adjustment Screw' to increases or decreases the idling
speed. 3. Gears: A clutch operated gear system to transfer power
from the engine to the transmission of nitro RC car. 4. Heat
Sink: The fins on the engine cylinder are air cooled by a
cooling fan. 5. Flywheel: Like a real car, a Nitro RC car needs
a Fly wheel to conserve momentum. 6. Pull-start cord: To start
the engine. A starter box is optional. 7. Glow Plug: Similar in
function to a spark plug, it has a little coil whose heat
ignites the fuel in a Nitro RC car Engine. Drive traction and
transmission: Transmits power from gear box to differentials. It
differs slightly as whether the car is 2 wheel driven or 4 wheel
driven. Servos: These are tiny motors for control the
acceleration, speed and steering of car. Batteries: Even a Nitro
RC car need a battery pack to power its servo, electronics and
head lights etc. Other systems like Chassis, body, wheels and
axles, etc. are similar to Electric RC cars. So, before choosing
a Nitro RC car kit, decide on what kind of car and engine you
want. Also, check what additional accessories the pack contains,
in addition to necessary parts. Finally, seek advice to save on
money, time and trouble of assembling.

Electric RC Cars An Electric RC car is a radio-controlled car
operated on batteries. In comparison to the Nitro (gas-driven)
RC cars, which are powered by a small engine that runs on a
mixture of nitro methane, methanol and oil, the Electric RC cars
are economical, and easy to operate and maintain. Due to their
low cost, and ease of operability and maintenance these are very
suitable for beginners. Electric RC cars are, therefore, very
popular with both beginners and serious hobbyists. In late
1970s, Japanese firm, 'Tamiya' was the first to pioneer the art
of radio controllable model cars. Modern electric radio
controlled cars appeared on the scene in America in the early
1980s. Today, like others varieties, Electric RC cars are also
available in on-road and off-road versions. An Electric RC car
essentially consists of a battery pack, motor, servo, radio
electronics, etc., in addition to basic transmission and
steering mechanisms. To the uninitiated in other countries,
these modern miniature model cars were bafflingly similar to
real cars. With aircraft grade aluminium alloys for the body,
high impact resistant polymers for wheels (which even take
little tires), fully functional shock absorbers, transmissions,
drive systems and multi-channel radio controlled electronics,
these little machines were both toys and hobby gadgets for the
people in developed nations. To cap it all, these are available
in ready-to-use cars for novices and as do-it-yourself kits for
the mechanical enthusiasts. Electric RC cars are supported by
good after sales service and wide availability of spares. You
can purchase anywhere from a $20 toy Electric RC car to a few
thousands of dollars worthy monster cars depending on your
taste, budget and purpose, either in shops or online. The
toy-grade cheap Electric RC cars offer less-scope for
disassembling, repair, renovation / upgrading etc., compared to
the hobby grade expensive electric RC cars. Hence, the toy grade
makes sense for children and beginners for practice. As with the
thriving industry, there are thriving RC car races, racecourses,
trainers, forums, RC car enthusiasts' clubs and communities. One
would completely be immersed, once entered this world. As usual,
the Internet is replete with guidance and resources. Just Google
in it!

RC Monster Trucks The RC monster truck racing is a rapidly
growing hobby that can be enjoyed by both young and old. RC
monster trucks have become a favorite remote controlled vehicle,
because they can maneuver around and over almost anything
providing hours of fun. In addition to racing many RC monster
truck enthusiasts enjoy building and upgrading their own trucks.
There are many hobby stores that carry the materials to build an
exceptional RC monster truck. Hobby stores may also provide
information for where races are being held. There are many clubs
and organizations dedicated to the RC monster truck enthusiast.
Attending a race is an excellent place to find out about clubs
and meet other people who are interested in RC monster trucks
too. Another enjoyable part of driving RC monster trucks is
building obstacle courses and tracks. Many hobbyist build tracks
in their own backyards using any materials they have laying
around including boards, RC cars and dirt. However, there are
many store bought obstacles that can be purchase as well. RC
monster trucks can be purchased ready to run or can be purchased
as a kit that needs to be built. Additional parts are available
to make your monster truck unique. The starting price for
beginning a hobby with a RC monster truck starts at around $300
and can go up depending on the type of truck desired. There is a
large variety of RC monster trucks available for beginners and
advanced racers. RC monster trucks come as 2-wheel drive or
4-wheel drive. The power source can be electric, which requires
recharging, or it can be gas, nitro being one of the favorite
fuels. The bodies can be painted and some can be interchanged.
Almost any part on a RC monster truck can be upgraded to give it
more power or better aerodynamics for the race. RC monster
trucks can provide fun for an individual or a family. The
intricateness of building a RC monster truck can provide a
science or engineering project for a student. Or driving the
monster truck can provide a relaxing time in the backyard while
barbequing. Whichever direction you are interested RC monster
trucks has a little something for everyone.

RC Boats The hobby of rc boats has four main categories: nitro,
gas, sail, and electric. The advantage of electric is the ease
of maintenance, the relatively cheap price, and the quite
electric motor which allows you to play without disturbing other
people. The basic entry level, ready to run boat kits can go 15
- 25 mph. Gas, Nitro Boats Speed, noise, and maintenance are
important factors to consider. Before buying, make sure you have
enough wide open space, as these boats reach 30 miles per hour.
Nitro rc boats are generally faster but the run time is shorter.
The nitro fuel is also more expensive than the regular gasoline
/ oil mixture used by gas boats. Gas rc boats have much longer
run times, but are usually slower and more expensive. However it
is cheaper to operate in the long run because gasoline is much
cheaper than nitro fuel. Speed of nitro boats achieves 65mph.
Models that sell for less than $400 are usually nitro powered.
Models that sell for over $1000 are usually gasoline powered. I
would recommend starting out with the cheaper nitro boats.

RC Planes RC Airplanes have acquired an international status
mainly owing to the availability of smaller, comparatively
inexpensive parts and fast-paced development in technologies.
The broad range of models and styles available on the market
suit the tastes and budget of just about any customer. Also, a
significant number of hobbyists are flying electric powered
craft instead of fuel-powered ones, mainly because they are
easier to construct and they don't require fuel consumption.
There are many different types of radio-controlled planes such
as park flyers and trainers for beginners, glow plug engines,
electric powered and sailplane aircraft for advanced pilots and
jets, pylon racers, 3D aircraft, and other high end competition
aircraft intended for expert flyers. There are also numerous
ways to construct and assemble RC Airplanes. Today, lots of
construction kits are available in the market requiring varying
degrees of assembling, cost, skill, and experience.

RC Helicopters RC Helicopters are usually constructed using
carbon fiber, aluminum, balsa wood, foam, or fiberglass, and are
available in a variety of designs. Models that are more
maneuverable, such as helicopters with collective pitch, possess
greater aerobatic capabilities, but are mostly more difficult to
fly. Gas turbine and electric helicopters are rapidly evolving,
but the nitro types are currently the most common. Learning to
fly by radio-controlled helicopter isn't as difficult as it is
sometimes made out to be. With the latest advances in
technology, flight simulator software can teach amateur
hobbyists to handle their toy. Starting out on a personal
computer, this flight simulator software can guide amateurs to
learn all sorts of aviation and manipulation tricks.

Read further about radio-controlled cars, planes, helicopters,
tanks, boats, sailing boats, hovercrafts, submarines at the site
below. They are made of non-serviceable
parts and are produced in bulk. The RC Toys are not very robust
in their speed or abilities.

A RC device of one toy cannot be used in another toy. They are
not durable and are of "soft" material; these RC toys are mostly
not able to take on the rugged terrain outdoors. They are
available in "ready to use", "buy and play" models and need no
assembly. The only thing that will be required is to open the
battery case and put in the batteries, and then the toy is ready
for use.

On the other hand, hobby grade RC toys are made of durable
material, and are custom made. They are mostly simple in their
design. The design is simple and can be re-used / remodeled, and
can be serviced. The radio controller and the parts can easily
be used in another hobby grade toy. They are durable and more
robust. They are not always available in ready-to-use state,
though there are many hobby-grade RC stores that will deliver
the toy in assembled state.

Many hobbyists like to buy the RC toys in parts, and prefer to
do the assembly themselves. The design, assembly, and driving of
the radio controlled toy is in itself a hobby. The serious
hobbyists also indulge in the RC sports that have their rules
and specifications, not to mention the winnings, which usually
will be an enhancement to their current RC toy or another RC
toy.

RC toys are available as a toy grade or a hobby grade toy
nowadays. They can be airplanes, helicopters, boats, cars and
robots.

Airplanes come in various sizes and shapes ranging from
small flyers to gas turbine driven aerobatic models. The models
can be tethered to a fixed pole via rope, or can be free flying
models. They can be electrically propelled, or fuel driven
models. The latest RC models can reach up to 250 mph.

RC airborne toys require a high level of knowledge and
control, and will need supervision of adults. They are not
suitable for younger kids. They are relatively more expensive
than the rest of the RC models. This is another reason that
younger kids cannot use it safely, since a crash can result in
damage that can be too costly.

The RC car is the one most common toy among radio
controlled model hobbyists. The cars come in various sizes and
shapes and can also be fuel driven or electrically powered. Just
like the cars come in various sizes and shapes, so do the
enthusiasts! RC cars are relatively safe compared to the
airborne toys, and can be controlled even by a child. They can
be "off-road" or "on-road" models, referring to the terrain on
which they can drive on. The RC car races are common for the RC
model hobbyists.

Helicopters: Another airborne RC model. It is different
from the airplane in design and flight, and some say that it is
much more interesting to fly. However, the same considerations
that apply to helicopters apply here too.

A RC boat was the first of the RC toys, that was Radio
controlled. Tesla demonstrated the RC boat model which he showed
to the public as a device that "obeyed people's commands", where
in reality it was him controlling the boat according to the
people's commands.

Robotics: These are most popular in Japan, but the
popularity is quickly catching up in other nations in the west
too. Robotic hobbyists who design, control and model the
robotics for various activities are common, and there are
various competitions held regularly for them to create the best
robot.

Robotics however, are actually moving from RC models to the
latest artificial intelligence models and voice controlled
models. But, RC models of robots are still very popular as RC
Toys, as hobbies as well as a safety tool for remote handling of
bombs and such.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
--------------

Have fun with your RC Toys.

About the author:
Morten Hansen has been working with the Radio Controlled Hobby
area for several years and is mainly writing about subjects,
that makes it easier for Internet users to learn about Radio
Controlled Hobby subjects. So, their imitating radio controlled
cars also have all those kinds. While a touring Electric RC Car
is the most popular one, the Electric RC Sprint Car is no doubt
the strangest of the bunch. Real Sprint Cars are small light
weight high powered cars designed for very fast racing at more
than 200 kmph. These cars have a very high power to weight ratio
or, in other words, they are relatively very light for the
speeds given by them. Being very fast, they use cage like metal
structure mounted on top for safety of drivers, in case of
overturning, rolling during high speed racing. Being very light,
to increase tire friction and to prevent easy hopping off the
track/ ground, a wing typically made of aluminium is mounted on
top in the centre, which increases the downward thrust while
racing. Electric RC Sprint Cars also imitate their real
counterparts, point for point, with only lesser speed but same
design. Due to the very high speeds, these are popular for
training of NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto
Racing) drivers. Indeed, these are designed primarily for racing
on dirty tracks in short stretches. Likewise, Electric RC Sprint
Cars can also be used for rough training on dirty bumpy tracks.
The typical features of an Electric RC Sprint Cars are as
follows: 1. Lightweight carbon-composite chassis. 2. Location of
Motor at the centre of chassis for equal weight distribution. 3.
Aluminium alloy roll cage. 4. Aluminium side guards and bumpers.
5. Adjustable aluminium wing mounted on top and with side wings
to help turning. One can even find wingless sprint cars. The
popularity of sprint cars led to the formation of the 'World of
Outlaws' sprint series. It is then little wonder that Electric
RC Sprint Cars also have devoted fans, who adore them for the
sheer pumping of adrenaline. Go Sprinting Now!

Electric RC Car Racing

Learn About Electric RC Car Racing Clubs, Types, And
Organizations. To the uninitiated, it may seem astonishing to
find the race tracks, the crowds, well organized races, rules
and regulations, even regulatory bodies, all for racing toy-like
miniatures/ model cars. The model RC cars may look small, but
are no less ferocious than their real counterparts once they
begin to race. The fact that the present world record for RC car
racing is at 178 kmph would testify it. The beauty of Electric
RC cars is their neat, quieter working on tracks, though not at
speeds comparable to the highest in fuel (Nitro/ Gas) RC cars.
There are different types of cars to race and as well as
different models and scales (scale is a fractional ratio of a
model against its original counterpart). Also, there can be
on-road or off-road races. Electric RC cars compete mainly in
1/10th and 1/12th scales, mostly on-road. There are Electric RC
Car Racing Clubs and online forums, for support, community
development, interaction and exchange of information. In many
American, European and Asian countries there are official
national RC racing associations/regulatory bodies which in turn
control local regional racing organizations for fair play. There
is also a world level RC Car Racing body called IFMAR
(International Federation of Model Auto Racing), in which the
following four regional blocks of RC car racing are members.

1. EFRA (European Federation of Radio-Operated Model
Automobiles): It has approximately 30 European nations,
including Russia, as members. 2. FAMAR (Fourth Association of
Model Auto Racing): An association of half a dozen Latin
American nations and South Africa. 3. FEMCA (Far East Model Car
Association): It represents some ten Asian countries, including
China, as well as Australia and New Zealand. 4. ROAR (Remotely
Operated Auto Racers): An apex body of the USA's and Canada's
Racing organizations.

Every year many International Racing Events are held for RC
cars. They have separate races for Fuel/ Nitro/ Gas/ Internal
Combustion RC Cars as well as Electric RC cars. Racers selected
by national bodies will participate in these full-fledged
international events like any other sport. No wonder, Electric
RC Car Racing is a very exciting, thriving, well-organized hobby
sport. It's economical too! Buy one, join now in your local
club, and enjoy!

Gas RC Race Cars

Not All Gas Cars Are Equal. Discover The Real Racers! Any Nitro
RC car that can be raced is a Gas RC Car. Here are some
examples: Gas RC Zs and Ts, Gas SUVs, Gas Hummers, Gas Buggies,
Gas Off-Road Trucks, Gas Mini RC Cars, Gas F1 type Racers, Gas
RC Tour Cars. Only Touring Gas RC cars, Formula One Gas RC cars,
and Off-Road Gas Buggies are real racecars. The Touring and
Formula One Gas RC cars have a small rear wing that provides
increased grip to the ground while racing. Most of the time,
they have four-wheel drive with high friction, soft rubber tires
like their real counterparts. There are races for two-wheel
drive and four-wheel drive trucks, buggies, touring cars, and
Can-Am bodied cars. But, there are also classes of races
specific to the Gas RC car type. Just like the real racecars,
racing these Nitro RC Racing Cars is fun and exciting. You may
also need special equipment for Nitro RC Racing Cars. Tamiya,
Traxxas, Team Losi, Kyosho, and HPI are a few reputable
manufacturers of Gas RC cars. Gas RC cars need special care
because they race for much longer durations and distances than
Electric RC Cars. When it comes to hardware, always use high
friction race tires, keep wheel alignment perfect, check all
nuts, bolts and other replaceable parts for tight and snug
fitting, and see if the engine needs to be tuned prior to
racing. Check the fuel, all of the fuel lines and other
accessories. Lubricate all of the moving parts and use ball
bearings as much as you can to minimize loss due to internal
friction. The racecar's tires need special attention. You can
use an automatic tire gluer for correct alignment and an
automatic tire tuner for tuning the tire surface. Racing cars
may need a few more sets of spare tires for races. This is more
applicable to Gas RC racecars because they run longer and
attract more dirt and grime than the electric RC cars. The Gas
RC Racing cars may just be models, but they are no less
ferocious than their real counterparts once began to race. With
the smooth rubber race tires to aid the grip, oil filled shock
absorbers for smooth ride and less wear and tear on internal
parts, very realistic modelling, powerful gas engines, specially
formulated high energy fuels, these can easily attain an insane
70 mph with some modifications. With the increasing popularity
of 1/8 and 1/10 scales, the new supercharged two-stroke gas
engines, and four stroke engines the patronage for Gas RC cars
is bound to increase. The present world record for Gas RC Race
Car Racing is at 110 mph.

Race Nitro RC Cars

Not All Nitro Cars Are Equal.Discover The Real Racers! The
excitement is palpable. Every participant is busy preparing
their cars, making last minute checks, honing tires with
meticulous precision, getting ready and checking again and again
the spare tires, batteries and extra fuel and testing the radio
controls. Only the radio controls and the sizes of tracks to
cars involved in the race betray that it's a model car race
only. The Nitro RC Racing cars may just be models but they are
no less ferocious than their real counterparts once began to
race. The fact that the present world record for RC car Racing
is at 178 kmph would testify to it. Even in normal races, they
attain the insane 120 kmph speeds. To the uninitiated, it may be
shocking to see the stunningly realistic Nitro RC Racing cars
racing with astonishing speeds, familiar auto roars and belching
of smoke! The frenzy of crowds only adds to the excitement.
Well, there can be many types of races like On-road, Off-Road,
Touring etc. choosing a race to participate need a few
pre-assessments. 1. The level of you skill. A beginner can't
race with experts. The kind of training you need also decide it.
2. The choice of model of the race and yours need to match. 3.
Popularity of the model you own and the race you can participate
in need also to be popular in your area. 4. Budget is all too
important. The initial cost of car, its maintenance, transit and
camping of racer all need consideration. 5. If you can't attend
the rigours of maintenance, off-roads are a big no-no. You can
always have good advice from clubs, experts, internet and peers.
If you are reaching a level of respectable skills, its time you
consider racing official races. They are conducted as per the
guidelines of governing bodies like the following. 1. EFRA
(European Federation of Radio-Operated Model Automobiles): it
has some 30 odd European nations including Russia as members. 2.
FAMAR (Fourth Association of Model Auto Racing): an association
of half a dozen Latin American nations and South Africa. 3.
FEMCA (Far East Model Car Association): It represents some ten
Asian countries including China and Australia and New Zealand.
4. ROAR (Remotely Operated Auto Racers): An apex body USA and
Canada's Racing organizations. There is also a world level RC
Car Racing body called IFMAR (International Federation of Model
Auto Racing), in which the above four regional blocks of RC car
racing as members.

RC Racing Monster Trucks

Get Involved, Feel The Thrill. You will find that among the many
batteries there are certain compounds which help power the
batteries in a slightly different manner. A few of these
compounds are found in well known batteries such as alkaline
batteries and nickel cadmium batteries. You will also find
nickel metal hydride batteries.

These batteries can be used in appliances where you need long
lasting power. You should however make sure that the appliance
you need these nickel metal hydride batteries for can work. You
will need to find out from the information that is supplied with
your appliance if it has this capability. There is one item that
you will need to remember about using these batteries.

In general you will find the description of the battery type
that your appliance will take. Now when you look at the nickel
metal hydride batteries you should think about choosing a
battery which will work with a variety of appliances. This
particular battery is in many ways similar to that of the nickel
cadmium batteries. Unlike that battery there is a hydrogen
absorbing alloy instead of a cadmium one.

The abbreviated form of nickel metal hydride batteries is NiMH.
This battery has the potential to last about three to four times
longer than the NiCd batteries. Now in addition to being used in
your usual consumer electronic products these batteries can be
used for other applications. At present the use of nickel metal
hydride batteries can be found in ASIMO by Honda. ASIMO is the
human prototype robot.

Additionally nickel metal hydride batteries are used to power
the Alstom Citadis low floor tram in France and hybrid cars like
the Toyota Prius. These batteries can also be used in appliances
like flashlights, digital cameras, cordless power tools and also
RC cars.

You can expect to see these nickel metal hydride batteries being
used in appliances in place of alkaline batteries. These
batteries can be found in most retail stores in four different
sizes. These sizes are AA, C, AAA and D. As these batteries are
low in cost and yet high in energy value you will find that
using these batteries for your various appliances is an
economical move.

One of the better aspects to be found in using these nickel
metal hydride batteries is that they are less detrimental to the
environment as compared to some of the other batteries like NiCd
batteries. And when it is time to dispose of these batteries you
will find that there are recycling programs which can help to
safely dispose of the harmful matter in the batteries before a
brand new battery is made.

About the author:
Muna wa Wanjiru is a Web Administrator and Has Been Researching
and Reporting on Batteries for Years. It is of course recommended for novice
RC hobbyists to go for ready made RC cars because it's a lot
less complicated to assemble and doesn't consume such time in
doing so. But when it comes to cleaning, maintenance and general
check up, wouldn't it be a lot better if you knew how to fix and
maintain your car on your own?

When you build your very own RC car, there could be a lot of
work to do but if you're in for a tight budget, this should do
it. Ready-made cars is going to cost you probably more than what
you have been assuming because, after all, it's already made,
all it just needs is a little time for you to assemble. Not only
that, if you build your RC model on your own, it would just mean
you can carefully select the equipment and other important parts
you want, gaining you extra satisfaction of a better RC model in
the end.

Make sure that you have your tools needed for building your own
model. You also have to read and understand everything that's in
the manual before you begin. This is just to make sure that you
don't miss anything and assemble one part on the wrong spot.
Your building area will have to be very conducive for working
which means you need a space for you and your kit alone. The
parts of the kit are all important and losing one is the last
thing you ever want to happen. So if you have kids and pets
around the house, secure your kit and your work to make sure you
don't lose anything untraceable.

But you also have to consider that building things like these
doesn't happen in one go. Remember the saying "Rome wasn't built
in a day", this might not be Rome but still, you wont be able to
build a desired RC model immediately.

About the author:
Learn more about building RC cars at this site
http://racing-radio-controlled-cars.com.
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

RC TRAILER

RC TRAILER - Funny home videos are a click away
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Nitro Engines For Beginners

Nitro engines are usually the best pick for interested hobbyists
but the problem and the real dilemma is always faced by the
beginners. Sure, there are loads of benefits a nitro engine
offers but maintaining it has to be a regular chore. Also,
there's absolutely no doubt that in order to keep up with proper
tuning and extra care for its engine to last longer, it will
have to take more than your precious time and attention - your
budget has to keep up too.

Before you ever try to go for a nitro engine for your RC car,
you have to consider immensely how experienced and knowledgeable
you really are with both its regular and monetary needs. This
isn't a way of discouraging you from getting a nitro engine for
your car though; just a simple word of advice.

Nitro engines can be bought already assembled without anything
else you need to do except for testing it on the road. This is
an absolute must-have for beginners who literally are in doubt
in building nitro engine from assembled parts since you will
have to forgo the trouble of choosing the separate parts for
your engine alone.

Of course, the big and obvious disadvantage here is that already
made nitro engines could cost a lot compared to the ones you
could possibly assemble. But on the brighter side of things,
ready to run kits doesn't deprive you of adding, maintaining and
even repairing it yourself if it happens to require any of the
action words mentioned. All three are possible; you just have to
follow the instructions which come with the box.

But then again, if you're a newbie with regards to the entire RC
cars shindig, it isn't the choice recommended for you...still,
RC cars run by nitro engines are the most popular among RC car
racers and if you want to feel the thrill as if you have a real
nitro-powered car, this is the closes to having one.

About the author:
http://racing-radio-controlled-cars.com has other free
information regarding nitro engins and RC cars.
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

RC Drifters

RC Drifters - For more amazing video clips, click here
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Remote tuners guide

REMOTE CONTROL BUYING AND TUNING GUIDE

Choosing, Buying, Tuning, and Racing Nitro Gas Powered RC Cars
and Trucks Nitro rc cars, gas r/c trucks, and nitro buggies that
run on nitro gas fuel are the most popular and fastest growing
segment of the rc car hobby. Here's a couple tips and
recommendations on nitro gas powered remote control cars and
trucks to help you choose the right vehicle, get the car and
nitro engine started, and tune it for more speed and power...

How to Choose A Nitro RC Car or Truck So you want to purchase a
nitro rc car or truck for yourself or as a gift for someone else
and you're not sure what kit you should buy? Well choosing your
nitro vehicle is the fun part! Offroad Nitro RC Trucks - Can
take on huge jumps and be driven almost anywhere no matter how
rough the terrain. Combination of speed, power, and durability
make them GREAT for beginners to the hobby. Onroad Nitro Gas
Powered RC Cars - Designed to be raced on the street, at the
track, or any prepared surfaces. Fastest top speeds but easier
to damage if crashed. Smaller size makes it lowest priced of the
nitro kits and an excellent value. OUTSTANDING Nitro Buggies -
When you want the ultimate in speed, acceleration, handling,
durability, and absolute fun! Next you'll have to chose between
either a ready to run kit that comes prebuilt and includes a
pull start nitro engine, the radio control, and all the radio
equipment already installed or an unassembled kit that you or a
friend put together and it may require purchasing the nitro
engine, the radio, and additional equipment seperate. I highly
suggest beginners start with a ready to run vehicle like from
Traxxas, Team Associated, Sportwerks, and HPI Racing.

Buying - What You Need to Get Started... While most ready to run
kits include everything you need to get started already in the
box, if you instead choose to buy an unassembled or an
incomplete ready to run kit you'll likely need a few additional
accessories to get your vehicle started and tuned. To run your
nitro car or truck you'll need a radio control with receiver and
two servos, the nitro engine, and a way to start the engine. Of
course you'll also need nitro fuel made specifically for nitro
rc cars and trucks to get your vehicle and the engine up and
running. These nitro gas powered cars don't run on regular gas
fuel from the pump, so make sure you get the right kind of fuel.
But don't worry about it.. Luckily, there are nitro starter kits
made specifically for nitro vehicles which come with absolutely
everything you will need to complete your kit. Many good rc
hobby shops will have a complete nitro starter kit with all the
accessories you'll need to get your nitro gas powered rc car or
truck started plus offer additional parts and accessories to
replace any worn or broken part or to upgrade your kit when you
are ready for more performance!

All About Tuning Nitro RC Cars And Trucks The nitro engine is
the heart and soul of any nitro rc car or truck so if you get
the engine tuned and set up right while keeping it well
maintained, it makes everything else a lot easier. I suggest
beginners tune and set up their engines according to the
instructions included in the box which usually call for a slow
break in period with the carburetor needles set to allow more
fuel to keep the engine running cooler than normal race
conditions. If the kit you buy is ready to run "as is", the
default engine tuning settings should be sufficiently rich.
There are several different break-in methods you can use but the
most commonly used one is to run the engine while the car is
sitting off the ground at that rich setting for a tank or two
and then for the next 3 or 4 tanks to run it on the ground at a
low speed and gradually speed it up while you progress through
each tank and leaning the high speed needle 1/8th of a turn at a
time until it runs close to peak performance. Make sure the
engine stays within a reasonable temperature range and make sure
you see a good amount of blue smoke coming out of the exhaust
throughout the throttle range to insure you are not running the
engine overly lean.

Racing Radio Controlled Cars And Trucks For Fun In my opinion,
racing nitro rc trucks and cars is the most interesting and
personally rewarding part of the rc car hobby. Whether it's on
the track in an organized race, in the street, in a field some
where, or your own backyard against your buddies, nothing beats
the speed, power, sound, smell, and adrenaline rush of racing
with these fast and powerful racing machines. a common mistake
for most beginners (and even many experienced racers) make is
driving too out of control. The steering and throttle inputs on
the radio are not an on and off switch, so be gentle! Rolling
onto the throttle smoothly is often a much faster way around the
track. Likewise, the car acts and turns more predictably when
you are smooth with the steering wheel. Before wrenching on your
car and making tuning adjustments trying to find the perfect
setup, you need to be able to get around the track without
crashing. If you can't make a few laps without crashing, "and it
has happened to all of us during tune and test periods, setup
changes aren't going to help much unless your vehicle is just
totally off for the conditions of the track and
undriveable,unbelievible.

About the author:
writes free how to guides and essays
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Rc Cars

If someone is interested in RC hobbies, they almost always start
with a car. Unlike a boat or a plane, RC cars (Radio
Controlled cars) usually won't be completely destroyed if they
fail. It is very easy to make a basic radio controlled car, but
as you do it you will discover that there is a huge amount of
knowledge that can be gained.

As you gain this knowledge, you can start to use advanced
techniques to create RC cars that are stronger, faster,
or more efficient than your previous ones. You can throw one
together in a few minutes, or you can spend months creating an
amazing car with superb speed and handling. The amount of effort
you put into it is entirely up to you.

If you are just starting with RC hobbies, it is probably wise
to just buy a pre-made RC car. You can buy these in toy shops
almost anywhere. It may be slow and clumsy, and it may not
satisfy your technological urges, but it is a good place to
start.

Play with it for a couple of days, and then take it apart. Look
at the way the motors are connected to the wheels, and look at
the general architecture of the RC car. After you understand it
all, you will have much better luck when you start to build your
own. You may even be able to use a few parts, such as the body
of the car or the radio equipment. The motors will probably not
be as strong as you would like.

After you have gained this essential basic understanding of the
way that RC cars work, you can start on whatever you want your
next project to be. For most people, their goal is to build a
model car from wood or plastic, install the electrical
components, paint it, apply decals, and basically get it looking
as good and performing as good as possible.

Others may want to build incredibly fast RC cars to show off to
friends. No matter what you want to do, you will only be able to
achieve it if you take it one step at a time and learn
everything there is to know about RC hobbies.

Many different resources can help you out along your way to
becoming an expert in RC hobbies. You will probably be spending
a lot of time researching all of the different information that
you need. You can find it all over the internet, including many
different tutorials.

For more specific questions, you can go to community groups and
forums. This is where people from all over the world gather
together on the internet to discuss their hobby, support each
other, and brag about their latest accomplishments. Usually they
are very welcoming to newcomers, especially if you are very
clear and polite in asking your question.

RC cars don't have to be without competition. If you want to
put your radio controlled car up against those of other
enthusiasts, you can find many different races and exhibitions
around the world. Just do a quick internet search, and find out
what the nearest option is. You might have to take a weekend
trip, but it will be worth it to be around those who are as
passionate as you about what you are doing.

These meetings may include races, or just a good old convention
to share tips and tricks with other radio hobbyists. You would
be surprised at the large amount of information that you can
learn from the people who go to these events.

Starting a new hobby may be daunting at first, since there is a
wealth of information that you probably know nothing about.
However, if you just get started with the basics and use all of
your resources that are at your disposal, you will be able to
succeed with the building of your RC Cars.

About the author:
Morten Hansen has been working with the RC Hobby area for
several years and is mainly writing about subjects, that makes
it easier for Internet users to learn about RC Hobby subjects.
For more details about the RC Hobby Area visit our site www.RcHobbyTips.com
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

RC buggy top speed

RC buggy top speed - Awesome video clips here
http://1rc-cars.blogspot.com

Rc Devices

Building, driving, and modifying RC car kits or other toys is a
popular hobby among RC enthusiasts. The RC Devices are a popular
hobby, and are a key component in a sport that involves
displaying the skill of the user in controlling the device
efficiently.

RC Devices, or remote controlled devices as they are
also called, are devices that are worked remotely from a
distance. The first demonstration of the remote controlling
activity was perhaps by Jagdish Chandra Bose when he ignited gun
powder and struck a gong from a distance using electromagnetic
radiation.

Tesla was the first to demonstrate a radio controlled ship
calling Teleautomata, using transmitter and receiver showing how
ships and mechanical gadgets can be controlled on a wireless
principle in 1898. He also constructed a wireless tower which
remained unfinished due to economic constraints. This showed the
farsightedness of Tesla. He laid the foundations for the RC
Devices that we have today.

American inventor Armstrong remarked about Tesla: "The world
will long have to wait for a mind equal to Tesla's, a mind of
such creative possibilities and such wealth of imagination."

The Radio Controlled Devices are commonly called RC Devices -
RC stands for Radio Controlled. In 1937 the first radio
controlled airplane was flown by Dr. William Good and his twin
brother Walter. Dr. William was a specialist in radios and
Walter made Aeromodels, and they combined them to create the RC
plane. Radio control had also been employed in WWII. In the
1960s, the availability of transistors revolutionized the
circuits and made them more compact and light.

Principle of the modern RC toys:

In the mid to late 60's, a British company named Mardave, based
in Leicester, began to produce the first commercially viable RC
Cars. Their first cars were Nitro or gas powered cars sold in
the local area in the early 70's. All such devices require a
transmitter with controls, a throttle trigger and the wheels for
turning. The receiver is placed in the body of the toy.

The models can be electric models as well as fuel models. The
electric models work with electrical speed control, and the fuel
control systems utilize the radio control mechanisms to regulate
the fuel input and the such.

The radio controlled models can be toy grade or hobby grade.
The toy grade devices are available in retail shops, and are
available at a far lesser price. They are ready made assembled
models, and usually utilize electric power. Hobby grade models
are available at a greater cost but are more durable and
serviceable. They usually require assembly, and most often run
on gasoline or nitro.

These RC Cars are also used in races, and the cars or toys used
in the races should confirm to the specifications. The RC
Devices can be varied, and include cars, boats, airplanes,
helicopters and robotics.

The small robots, cars and toys are usually for indoor play.
Robotics combined with radio control technology is frequently
seen in the international robotics contests held annually in
Japan and other countries. Robotics are another hobby, which are
even more interesting when combined with radio controlled or
remote controlled toys.

The uses for RC Devices are limitless, and cars only scratch
the surface. In reality, there are hundreds of different ways
that you can enjoy RC Devices.
