The second Thursday of every month, Downtown Los Angeles goes artsy. An array of mysterious food trucks, eye-opening art galleries, diverse faces, lowkey non-Hollywood-esk bars and a different feel of the outskirts of Figueroa Street may overwhelm many, but what else would you do on a Thursday night? Go to an over rated HW club, see a movie, circle jerk? No thanks, I'd rather explore and engage in an intelligent conversation over an EXTRA dirty martini about which piece I would buy if I had an endless amount of cash on me. I'm not talking about your usual canvas painting, some sculptures cost over ten G's, you would be astonished. Every time I go it's different, however last week was interesting, not sure if it's because of summer but something was in the air and I'm not referring to the distinctive smell of bums (tip: shower AFTER).

Walking On a Grave

Walking on a Grave....literally. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to watch Wizard of Oz at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Buried people, the Wicked Witch, Dorothy's sequined red slippers, tombstones and odd balls...I might as well should have been asked by the scarecrow himself to follow the grave brick road. However, being the curious and sick minded Cancer I am, I was thrilled. An order of take out from Bottega Louie and five bottles of wine later, I was sitting on a hippie blanket the size of a Cali King and watching Dorothy get sucked out of Kansas. Despite the hectic swarm of people, the experience was well worthy. I presume it's lights out for the vamps during the summer because this season is the only time the cemetery screenings take place. Then again, I wouldn't mind an all year round schedule, getting my blood sucked in a cemetery is exactly the kind of night I would look forward to.

This proverb may directly sound like breaking through a woman's shell, exterior or excuse my vulgarity; virginity. It appears simple, you know, digging your spoon into a crème brulée and lifting it to your mouth for an excitement of a crispy yet warming embrace of heaven. Yet again, once you have devoured a couple of mouthfuls, are you satisfied? Are you yearning for more or are you ready to switch flavors? Perhaps even put the spoon down? What if we just want you to have a taste, who allows you to refuel your sugar high? We are that dish you oh so craved for when you picked up that spoon in the first place, right? So yes, we are often impenetrable, hard at the exterior, tough shelled but after a few tries you may be in for a creamy surprise, depending on boundaries.... but it is us who are the treats you picked off the menu and whether you decide to take big spoonfuls at a time or slowly enjoy it, it is us at the end of the day who let you enter our delicate, caramelized surface.

Chatroulette.com? Chat...Roulette. Really? A roulette of chatters, let me explain: There are two video boxes, one for yourself and another for a COMPLETE stranger along with a chat-box to type a conversation. You click "Start" and automatically a stranger pops up. Well, from my experience, I feel a little awkward "face to face" with a random so I often click "next" which accesses you to another random person, hence the roulette aspect of the site. In some cases, such as my own, I have not only come across faces but have been surprised by below the waist acquaintances and yes, I clicked "next"...if I wanted such interaction I would log onto a virtual porn site. Some may believe it's for bored, lonely or horny individuals but there could be some use to the site. It's our generation's one-on-one alternative world and communication through the internet. It is the new and improved late nineties and early zerozero's live and real chat rooms. It's actually fascinating and I don't know how it wasn't created before MySpace. I assume it's because of all the past few years of high demand in MacBooks with built-in camera's. Remember when some people bought separate web camera's, that sounds like another era now. Chatroulette.com arises a new and quirky epidemic, must label this a you neek and freakish newbie to the world wide web.

Whether you're studying, writing a paper, updating a blog ehem, or being that loner starving author/artist, most people would love to drink a black coffee and have a smoke. Ok, so you may not smoke...doesn't it feel so OUT OF LA to be at a coffee shop and smoke inside? Let's excuse the second-hand smoking ideal, there's always the outside area. That doesn't exist here right? WRONG. I heard about this place a year ago, my friend was actually taken on a date there. Being the chain smoker she is, I'm pretty sure that sealed the deal for the night with the two. There was a rumor of it being closed so I never bothered to go out of my way and check. However, a few months ago my friend was leaving to Israel and invited me there with his friends. It was eleven at night, I had an exam the next morning, but sacrificed to finally see the place nonetheless. I purchased a hot coco and indulged in a few games of Dominos...don't ask. Located on little Santa Monica, Cacao Cafe is that insomniatic nicotine and caffeine fiending hole in the wall. Regardless of the size and location, if you want a late night smoke and coffee, you go there. Definitely a YOUNEEK find, only thing is that you can only smoke inside past ten at night...aren't smokers always up late anyways?

Thank you for always being the highlight of my year and finally coming out with a legitimate line-up since 2006. I hope your sugary frozen lemonade melts the same in my mouth and cools me down like a mother fucker. I promise to know every lyric by heart to every song and be the wildest flower child I have been for the past four years of attending. According to the LA Times, yes I read the paper and intend to include news in this blog especially concerning this issue, Marijuana is now legalized for "for those 21 and older to possess up to an ounce... for recreational use." For those of you who DON'T read the paper, most are either dwelling on not being 21 and some of you may be heading out to smoke your first joint in public. Regardless, for the first time in seventy years with a passing vote of 4-3, brutally close, we're almost close to turning California into the new Amsterdam. Personally I believe it should have been over 18, and even though many people still light up after the age of 21, prime ages for dope smoking are in the teen ranges. We can buy cigarretes at 18, why not add marijuana into the category? I'm waiting for someone in Los Angeles to finally open up an Amsterdam themed marijuana cafe, so I can entice and inform you all. Unless I'm unaware of this secret cafe, which I doubt, enlighten me.

This blog has gone through more changes than Jessica Simpson's jean size. At first it was a molding of a tripod's in- the- moment-idea: "the stud muffins" but due to the overwhelming sun in the summer and out of mind adventures, we never pulled through. Who wears studs for longer than a season anyways? You're just going to buy curtain patterned dresses next week. I finally began a few posting attempts but I had to stumble upon my last inspiration for a push to religiously work on this blog. Thank you Isabella Bardou, you have not only taught me how to take a pleasing breather during oral sex (not that I have ever engaged in such activities), but you have opened up a new perspective for feminism and how woman express themselves sexually. Some may call you an attention whore, literally, but your lyrical sexual experiences and advice have been embedded vividly into my mind. I basically dispute the idea of someone speaking so openly on the internet. It's an admired skill to pull this kind of writing off , definitely, a "you neek tease." You have to see for yourself....
