Google Chrome Makeover - Chrome has updated

Whoa! A recent major change has hit the giant of Web Browsers few minutes ago. Let's take a look at how my Chrome looks after the update.

Some of the major changes are-

Google search available on Home Page making Chrome Mozilla look-alike.
Apps Page shifted along the Bookmarks bar. You can no longer scroll left and right on your Google Chrome Homepage.
Your Google+ profile information being displayed on your Chrome Home tab similar to the way it looks on Google search if you are logged in.
Greatly reduced size of the most visited Webpages making it a little difficult to navigate.
Recently closed webpages shifted to the drop-down Menu on the top right of Google Chrome.

It can't be said whether it's a good or bad update. It will become clear over time. But every time Google, Google Chrome or YouTube brings in a new update people hate it initially but adopt it and love later on.

Google AdSense 10th Anniversary

Probably you already noticed this cute party look 10 number inside your AdSense account that marks the 10th anniversary of Google AdSense.

The '10' party image in AdSense account

Well, it doesn't only says 10 but hides inside a cool Pong game. Clicking on it will take you to another page about the 10 years of Google AdSense, of course you can check that too. But hovering you mouse cursor over it will load a Pong game inside your AdSense dashboard.

This simple game reminds me of games and interactivity that Google doodles provide on some special occasions. So, Google has given us something completely new to do inside our AdSense accounts as a mark of Google AdSense tenth anniversary.

About the Pong Game

You play this game against computer. The game sort of looks like 8 bit games. The game is dynamic which is the best thing about this game. So, it re sizes as you re size your browser. I was playing for like 1 minute with 0 scores from em and computer because of my high monitor resolution. So, for higher monitor resolutions I'll recommend you re size them to smaller sizes and then play the game. Actually more smaller makes it more fast, high scoring and more fun. Higher resolutions can make it boring.

Python Program To Generate Diamond Pattern

Hey there! Trying your hands on Python programming? Here's a simple program to illustrate the concept of loops in python. The resulting diamond can be generated with slightly different versions of the program. Also you can alter the shape and size of the diamond according to your wish. You can do so by adding spaces in the #'s to make it more cleaner or increase or decrease the range of the loops to make the diamond shape bigger or smaller.
But the central idea will remain the same. Here's the code -

You can copy and paste this code into your code editor and run it. Python supports three kinds of loops namely for, while and if. In this program i have used for and while. Python doesn't includes periods or semicolons to indicate the end of the line. Also, there are no braces to initiate or end the loops. Python uses intends to indicate the beginning and end of the loop. So, unlike other programming languages like C, C++ or Java intends are important. You can use TAB to shift the code or use 2 spaces which is the standard for coding at Google. If you are using a code editor like Eclipse as i do, it will take care of the intends for you. About Google Search Engine's new results page

Well, if you have not already seen, go check out the new look of the Google Search engine's new result page. It doesn't looks a lot different than the previous one but it really has changed a lot. Just visit Google.com and search anything to experience the change!
If it directs you to local Google search for your country than either it may ask you to go to Google.com instead of other search engines like Google.in, Google.ca, etc. or you can go to Google.com manually.

After search it will look something like this -

Now, a user that visits Google not so often may not find any change at all into the search results page. But i see a lot of differences in there. Let's have a look at the new search results page closely. First of all the most noticeable thing is that the tabs or the search options have been placed horizontally on the top, which were in a vertical row on the left side of the search results page earlier. I find it more clean than the previous view. Also, you get the chance to alter the world view of search results or the personal view. In case of Personal view, you will see the search results tailored according to the sites you have visited before. But in the world view, you will just get the appropriate answers. This worked in my case as well, as i always wanted to see the normal results by Google but i was given the links i already visited. So, i switched to world results in the new Google search results look or theme. Also, i see some not expected things like ads on the search results page. Voice Search, a feature that was seen in limited applications of Google, is now totally a part of the Google search. You can see the mike symbol or icon along the search text field. Click on the mike icon and speak what you wish to search for. The icon is visible on Google Homepage as well as the Google search results page. Well there is one more difference i noticed in the new search results page. Due to the shift of the tabs to top and maybe they moved it a little bit more to left, now there's more space to provide information about popular topics and people on the right side of the search results page. Notice the lot of empty white space on the right side in the picture above. Also, the cached copy of a site will be easily shown with that much space on the right side of the search results page. With all that information about Google SERP's new look, i end this post here.

A secure place with no memory failures, no virus attacks and accessible from all your computer and mobile devices is the best possible solution to this problem.
Also, we need to make sure that our data is private and there is no chance of theft. So, many organisations have already developed this thing called as Cloud Computing to facilitate home, office and educational institution users to save their data and access it anytime anywhere with a lot of memory space.

There are many cloud computing services available over internet competing with each other and providing a sort of similar features. Google and Microsoft are one of the major organisations in the race. Many others are also there. But the most widely used and really worth using is Dropbox. Dropbox provides a lot of cool features and very user-friendly environment that is attracting more and more Dropbox users everyday. Dropbox is really easy to get started with and even more easier to use.

Now, why we all need account on dropbox? Well, we all have some or many files or programs that are important, that are not available anywhere except our computers or mobile devices. We do not want to lose them all of a sudden because of memory failures or virus attacks. Because reconstructing them from scratch may not be a good idea. Also, you may want to use a file on home computer, office computer and mobile device but do not want to mail it or transfer it because it's a time consuming and non convenient process. If you have installed Dropbox, then you just drag your file into dropbox folder and then it's not only 100% secure, but also accessible from home, office, mobile and Internet.

Intel's Awesome new project

Surfing across the web i came to discover a new project by Intel called as Intel's ME MUSICAL. It's tag line says "Bringing your Timeline To Life". So that tells us that it has something to do with our Facebook timeline. Well, it's like a movie or a short video clip that takes in your data from your Facebook profile. The movie starts with your birth date and shows some historical events that happened since your birth till date. I loved the music that played throughout the presentation. But the best part was the integration of the Facebook with the video or the presentation. It is so amazing that it starts with your birth date, shows some buddies born in the same year and shows many other school, college and other random friends inside the video. So, the integration of the video with the Facebook profile is the best part for sure and it really brings your Timeline to life.

Not So Good Week for Microsoft's Internet Explorer

German Government has requested it's people to not use Internet Explorer due to the security breech that happened this week.
The web browser has been on a security risk and is more vulnerable to the hackers now. So, the German government has requested the people of Germany to switch to a different browser like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome until the security hole is taken care of. This is sure to increase the tensions in Microsoft, as people already know Mozilla Firefox was the most secure browser and the Google Chrome has been dominating the web ever since it's launch. After this bad week for Microsoft, people specially from Germany will be shifting to the more secure browsers. But the thing worth noticing is that for most of the people this change may be permanent and they may never use Internet Explorer again.
