Why You Cant Cheat Google Adsense?

Google adsense is a great way to supplement your income, but there is a darker side to this great system. Many people attempt to cheat Adsense and as the cheats get more sophisticated so do the Geeks at Google Adsense. Bloggers, webmasters and the semi literate IT geek think to themselves this is my road to becoming a millionaire - little do they realise that eventually Google Adsense catches up with you and closes your account without any explanation.

Many scammers spend sleepless nights thinking of new ways to cheat adsense and unfortunately a handful are able to succeed at this.

Here are 7 ways Google Adsense catches scammers and fraudsters, if you have ever entertained the thought then the following reasons will make you realise that its not worth it. It is better to concentrate on consistently posting quality content.

1. When the IP address of the clicker matches the IP address of the publisher then this is sheer stupididy, the TOS of Google Adsense prohibits this and if this is the best plan you have come up with then dont give up your day job!

2. When the CTR which is the click through rate is higher than 10% this flags the publisher for a potential audit. Seldom does the CTR get above 10% even for the best websites. When this happens Google may close your account down.

3. Cookies are tracked by Google Adsense too, if you log into your google adsense account and then start clicking on your ads from different computers then this is asking for trouble. Google employs some of the best hackers to find ways to hack google so any lame ideas will not measure up.

4. When the ads being clicked for a split second before going to the next ad shows google that you are disinterested in the actual site, this rings alarm bells at the adsense HQ and when it is determined that no site ever loaded properly its time to ban your account.

5. Google sees and hears everything, it can track all the impression it gets and the location of all the clicks. If most of your traffic comes from America and all your clicks come from the UK then this just shows that you are in fact cheating the system. Its just not that worth it.

6. When the traffic source is poor yet you still get high views on your sites then this must mean that you are artificially creating searches that find your site rather than using natural searches. When Google sees that the Traffic to your site is nonsense then it will slap you with a ban.

7. Requesting people to visit your sponsors link is the most absurdest thing you can do, not only is it against the TOS but it also highlights how desperate you are, when google find out you will become even more desperate.

So now that we how the cheats are caught, but we also know that some cheaters get away with it - This begs the question "How do they do it?". All I can say is its not worth it.

To do well with Adsense, you need to have a great content page. There are some tips and tricks you can use to have a better site, but trying to cheat the system is a waste of time. You should have a white hat site for Google Adsense. Using black hat techniques to get more good targeted traffic is probably your only hope of getting an edge, and for those techniques I recommend you read Project Black Mask.

Cheating with Google Adsense?

1. Basic clicker cheat

This is a noob. This guy knows almost nothing about web technology or network architecture. He clicks on his ads every time he has chance. It can be a few clicks to hundreds of clicks daily. Most likely he doesn’t even read the AdSense Program Policies and Terms and Conditions.

2. Proxy clicker cheat

She knows a thing or two about cookies and IP address. Or she doesn’t know, but somehow guessed that if she use the things called anonymizer, Google will not be able to trace her, because her identity is hidden. She may use anonymizer / proxy websites or specialized anonymous software like tor (The Onion Router).

3. Multiple computer clicker cheat

He knows that somehow Google will detect if the clicks are originated from his own computer. So he will try to even out origin of the clicks. He will recruit his friends, family members, relatives, neighbors, his cats, and his dogs on single mission: to click on the ads. He will also click on the AdSense ads when he is using the library computers, or his office workstation.

4. Software clicker cheat

Graduate to the next step is buyers of clickbots / click-bots. These are specialized robot software to click on AdSense ads. It will browse around your websites, clicking on the ads every few minutes. The more advanced ones will cloak the IP address too, so the website seems to be very popular worldwide. To cover the track, this clickbots will browse around the advertisers sites too while continuing its "click quest".

5. Paid-clickers cheat

If you don’t like automated things, there is always other option for you. Just pay $50 dollars a month to the professional AdSense clickers. These are groups of highly specialized Internet surfers with office in the dark rooms in street corners of India, Pakistan, and China, helping AdSense account owner to earn good amounts of money ? before the AdSense account is disabled, that is. They will browse around your websites, clicking on the ads every few minutes. Because they use human eyes, they know which ads worth more. And to be more convincing they can click a link or two, or sign up free offers / newsletters on the advertiser sites.

6. Click-rings cheat

Network is power. So says many business gurus. Instead of taking things to their own hand, this people realize that they can join hands with those with similar goals and distribute AdSense clicks among themselves, the so called AdSense click-rings. Joining this click-ring network means that your website address will be made known to members, who will regularly browse the website and click on your AdSense ads. In exchange, you will also browse other members’ sites and click on their AdSense ads. The medium used varies. Some click-ring groups use mail-list for communications. Some are using bulletin boards/forum, Yahoo groups, or Usenet. IRC is another popular way. Slightly more complicated is specialized AdSense exchange software for collecting member’s website address and displaying others’ websites for clicking.

7. Other medium cheat

I have tens of thousands email address on my newsletter subscriber list. If I include AdSense ads on my newsletters, with 5% CTR, I can get a thousand clicks per one email. Not bad. Or I can pay someone to write some useful/nice/funny/cute toolbars or firefox extensions or screensavers that people can download and use for free, and display my AdSense ads there.

8. Visitor cheat

Simply putting "Visit out sponsors" or "Check out the ads above" on your website is cheating. This might not be very clear-cut cheat to some. But Google AdSense program policies has stated clearly, the only text allowed are "Advertisements" or "Sponsored List"

9. Spam cheat

This is the highest level all click-frauds, the Maestro of Fraudsters. She spams millions of emails regularly, offering to "satisfy your inner needs if you can help me check on the links on my website". Of course, email is not the only way. What IRC and instant messaging (IM) are for, after all. She will look for unsuspecting victims, offering something too-good-to-be-true "if only they will visit the website and click on the links".

10. Click-through-rate cheat

Whichever method(s) above used, there is one limiting condition: the CTR (click-though-rate). Any CTR that exceeds certain percentage (probably around 10%) will raise red flag in Google AdSense back room. To lower the CTR, the professional cheaters will create some pages on the same domain that attracts very high traffic. Some interesting freebies will sure do the tricks. AdSense code is pasted there, thus creating a very high page impressions. Whether or not the ads are clicked does not matter anyway, because they are targeting low paying keyword that does not have much competition. The fake clicks are, of course, on where the big money is, the low traffic pages stuffed with high-paying keywords.

Get More Links And Higher Rankings With Link Building

How to Get Traffic to your Website or Blog

In general there are two free sources of traffic online. These sources are broadly defined as Social traffic and Search Engine traffic. 99% of all newcomers online set up a blog or website and proceed to try and obtain social traffic. They do this simply because everyone else does it.

Social traffic consists of using social networks like Stumbleupon, Digg, Reddit, Entrecard, Forums and hundreds of other services that allow you to sign up and promote your site on them. These services are the backbone of what is known as Web 2.0 and has evolved into a newer version centered around Facebook, MySpace and the current craze - Twitter.

The general idea is to get out there and make friends online using these networks, draw them in to your site, wow them with your content and wait for the links to come pouring in from your adoring fans. As the links increase your traffic increases as more and more people find your site and in turn tell more people through the use of more links and one day you will become famous just like Darren Rowse of Problogger or failing personal fame you may still develop a hugely popular site like Engadget or the Huffington Post.

There is a certain appeal to all this - becoming popular has many advantages aside from the most obvious monetary considerations. Many people blog because they have something to say and just want an outlet for their views. Others dream of being a writer and use the net to publish their stories. Get your work out there and get discovered. Musicians and filmmakers use the net in the same way. Whatever your reason for starting a blog or website there will come a day when you say to yourself, “what is the point if no one is reading or watching or listening to my creative output?”

It is at that point that you will begin your quest to find traffic and invariably you will turn to the social networks. You will discover quite quickly that you can get social traffic fairly easily using Stumbleupon or even easier using Entrecard. Twitter might be the easiest of all. You will join forums and work at becoming an “authority” in your niche. You will make friends. They will send links. All will be wonderful… for a while.

Six months to a year down the road two things will happen - it always happens and it happens whether you have achieved a large readership or not. You wake up one day and realize that you are working like a dog and there is little to no benefit from all that work. Driving social traffic is a constant grind. If you stop posting, twittering, digging, stumbling, dropping entrecards, leaving comments on other blogs or any of the other daily chores needed to keep your name out there the traffic dries up. Moreover your health deteriorates and your friends and family are neglected as you spend hours and hours sitting in front of your computer single mindedly developing your brand. Even if you have managed to develope a few thousand RSS subscribers - something most beginners think of as a successful blogger - you will still ask yourself “is all this work worth it?”

Why? Because at some point everyone wants to be compensated for all that work. You may say now that you are just doing it because you like to “write” or you just need an outlet to release your opinions and I believe you. The problem is that you will not be satisfied just writing or opinionating if no one is reading your output. You will get sucked into the social traffic cycle and find out that it is work. And when you work that hard you will eventually want a monetary reward for it - in one form or another. Having 10,000 readers coming and reading just wont cut it if a book deal doesn’t materialize. Or you can’t make money from advertisers. Or JV (joint venture) offers don’t show up. No matter what your reason for blogging at some point you are going to want a reward for it and the more work you put into it the more return on time invested will be expected.

And that is the problem - you wont get a return from social traffic. They don’t spend money - they don’t click ads and the advertisers are no longer supplying inventory to social sites as that fact has become known. Today.com claims 10 million page views a month. That is fairly significant traffic. So why don’t we see the big advertisers on this site? Where are the finance/credit/bank advertisements? The auto company ads? The big brand names? What we see are ads for dating sites. And Adsense.

The advertisers are not coming to this domain in spite of the traffic. Today.com has had to find a means to monetize this site using affiliate marketing platforms which they are currently rolling out. Adsense does not perform well as the sub-domains are not targeted for premium CPC (cost per click) and are smart priced. They get pennies per click from adsense and the CTR is dismal at best. Today.com is a successful domain based on traffic but like many others online they have found out that all traffic is not equal. The majority of this domains traffic comes from social networks and social traffic does not convert well - meaning they can’t make much profit from it.

If you are reading this then chances are you have a site yourself and you spend a fair amount of time reading blogs and surfing the net. You are social traffic. When was the last time you bought something on a friends site? Or clicked on an Ad? You don’t do it often if at all and neither do all the other social bloggers and social network users. You are here to read. You are online looking for information and not looking to buy something.

Search engine traffic is quite different. Most people use the search engines - Google by far - when they need to find something. You don’t go to Today.com when you want tickets to a Broadway musical or are looking for a hotel in New York. You use Google. You have a purpose in mind and that usually entails buying something or at the least you need specific information about a specific thing. Search traffic is targeted and whether you are trying to make money online or just want readers, search traffic is the traffic you want because it consists of people looking specifically for what you are offering.

If you have a humor blog for no other reason than just to entertain then why not target people looking for humor blogs? The easiest way to do that is to rank number 1 in Google for the term “humor blog”. On average 2400 people a month will find your site. If you rank for more related keywords like “humorous photos”, “Humor writer”, “humor”, “funny pics”, “funny stories” etc then you will eventually have thousands of daily visitors to your site. And this is the best part - you can post when you want or not at all and the same traffic will show up every day. Moreover you will never have to spend 1 minute commenting on other blogs or stumbling or dropping entrecards or doing any of the other chores involved in social marketing. And the icing on the cake - your search traffic will click your ads. They will read your humorous post and because they found you while searching for humor they are likely going to click on those ads that point them to other humorous sites. They don’t care if they make you money or not - they are not bloggers. They are civilians looking for something and will click anything that leads them to their goal.

The process for obtaining search traffic is actually very simple but it does take work and most of all patience. It can also be done in conjunction with social traffic. The problem is 99% of bloggers only chase social traffic and completely shut the door on search traffic right from the get go. This doesn’t have to be and I will show you how to optimize for the search engines using some basic SEO techniques that will pay off hugely by the time you wane on social traffic. You can use social networks for immediate traffic while building your site for long term search traffic. If you don’t achieve search traffic then you will eventually burn out and all the social traffic in the world will not change that fact.

SEO Basics that must be used in order to drive search traffic to your blog are as follows;

You must use your keyword in your URL.

You must use your keyword in your Blog Title.

You must use your keywords in your Post Titles.

You must use your keywords and related terms in your post content.

You will get the best search results by only posting one post per page unless all your posts are related to the same keywords.

If using Adsense then always stick to one post per page.

If using photos then your keywords should be used in the alt tags.

You must use html for the bulk of your pages content. (plain old text)

These simple little steps are all you need to do to optimize your site for the search engines. You will get indexed for your keywords and ranked well. How high you get ranked depends on the competition. If there is little competition you could achieve top ranking doing little else. (Many of you experience some Google traffic for long tail keywords. This is because you used a term in your content that has little competition and Google found your site when someone searched for that term - unfortunately these terms don’t often provide much traffic) If there is a lot of competition then you will need backlinks pointing to your site using your keyword in the anchored text of the link pointing to you. That is all that is required to dominate any keyword online. Simple yes. In practice the hard part will be obtaining all the anchored backlinks needed to dominate a competitive keyword but following my on-site advice will make this task much easier - especially if you use social networks.

Now let me demonstrate what I am talking about.

I mentioned “humor” a few paragraphs ago as a lead in for my example site. But first a pre-amble to fill you in.

It seems I ruffled a few feathers in a post on my main site a few weeks ago. I mentioned that the bloggers on Today.com were beginners and the reason was to point out that most of the bloggers on here are following a failed strategy. They are almost without exception chasing social traffic and will eventually quit blogging for all the reasons I mentioned above. They will work their butts off making a few dollars a day and burn out. Most will not even do the social chasing and will quit long before they make a few dollars a day. This isn’t any different here or with beginners who start a self hosted blog or use free domains like Blogger that can be fully monetized. The fact is most of the people blogging today will not be blogging in six months. They give it a go, fail to attract readers, fail to attract money or both and quit. I have seen this cycle for years and anyone that has lasted as long as a year knows this is true. We see it time and again. Very few people actually do the work - the majority of my readers have been reading my blogs for a year or two and still haven’t built a site. It is what it is.

I highlighted one blogger in particular in my post - not to bash her - but because she is one of the few on Today that has the work ethic to succeed. She has a “humorous Photo ” blog and drives the most traffic to her site of all the Today bloggers. She does it using social traffic and works her tail off to do it. She is the type of person who could succeed online with a little SEO knowledge. It is unfortunate that her reaction was quite negative.

Tact is not my strong suit and those who know me have seen this kind of reaction before. The thing is you also know I am going to show Melissa how she can improve her traffic stats whether she wants to listen or not. Her site is the perfect example of what not to do in regards to search traffic and by illustrating the mistakes it will become clear to both her and others how some simple tweaks could make a huge difference in her long term success. If it’s any consolation to Melissa she should know I only “pick on” bloggers who have the talent to succeed - there is no point in highlighting those that don’t.

This post is long enough so I will demonstrate on-site SEO next post and illustrate exactly why you should follow my advice regarding keywords using both Melissa’s site and mine. The results will not leave you in doubt about how effective it is at building links and traffic

SEO Generated Traffic and Backlinks

In my last post How to Get Traffic to Your Website or Blog I listed several basic SEO techniques that all bloggers should follow - regardless of whether you are trying to make money online or just blogging for fun. In either case you will want visitors. Many beginners chase social traffic only to find out later that they don’t make money from this form of traffic and all too often they find that this traffic doesn’t convert into loyal readers either. They come, browse and then leave without so much as a comment. I have called this type of traffic useless. Some have taken offense at this description and usually tell me that it isn’t useless as it helps them build links. This is true - social traffic can produce backlinks for your site. Unfortunately most often the backlinks are useless as well.

If you follow my directions then you can use social traffic to provide you with useful backlinks which will in turn help you to rank well in the search engines for terms that people search for. Search engine visitors are targeted which mean they have an interest in your topic before finding your site. Unlike social browsers the search visitors will click ads, buy products and even become loyal readers who will leave comments. There is a certain irony to all this - I have found that the best way to grow a readership and a social network isn’t with social networks - it’s best done with the search engines.

Rather than getting into a long winded explanation of why you should follow my Advice I will just show you an example of a site that uses Keywords for all of the above and a site that doesn’t. The benefit of using Keywords will be crystal clear when I’m finished.

I said that social traffic can indeed produce backlinks but that these links are all too often useless. By useless I mean that they don’t use anchored text in the link for any useful terms that people search for in the search engines.

Melissa from “Why be Normal” has a social blog here on Today.com. She spends a lot of time driving traffic using social networks and I suspect Google Images. She does quite well but could do a lot better with a lot less work.

Her Keyword “Why Be Normal” has no search benefit. In simple terms nobody searches for the term. It also doesn’t reflect her blog’s topic or niche. Her site is most accurately described as a humorous photo blog. I did a search for “humorous photo” on Google before my last post. Why be Normal was not listed on the first page of the serp’s (search engine results page) for that term. I added an anchored link to Melissa’s blog in that post. And waited.

I did a search today on Google for “humorous photo” and guess what?

All it took was two anchored links using the term “humorous photo” to get Melissa’s blog ranked on page 1. (The term doesn’t have a lot of competition.)

Here is what Melissa’s backlinks look like. Notice that her links all contain “why be normal” in the anchors. This is because most people link to your site using either your URL or your Blog Title. In some cases they will use your Post title.

Now imagine if she had used a term like “Humor Blog” or “Funny Pics” or “Humorous Photos” in her URL, Blog Title and Post Titles. Every one of her links would contain those keywords and she would be easily ranking well or even number 1 in Google for terms that get searched for and drawing in daily traffic without having to do any work what so ever. No new posts, no chasing social network traffic. Search traffic shows up consistently day after day and if they like what they see they will leave comments and click on relevant ads and buy relevant products.

Now let’s look at this Adsense blog. I use keywords in all my titles and URL. I don’t post often and only in order to target more keywords.

Not bad - 9 posts, 1100 comments (which contain a ton of keyword rich content that the Google bot devours) and no time spent chasing social traffic.

You will notice I have very few useless backlinks.

Now I am not generating nearly the same traffic as Melissa is at the moment. But from Today.com’s perspective I am generating better traffic. Traffic that they can make money from using Adsense. When my traffic clicks an ad Today.com receives top CPC for the click as my visitors are targeted to the ads placed on my site.

In Melissa’s case and basically most of the Today.com sites the Google Adsense ads are smart priced and Today.com only receives a few pennies a click. The reason for the poorly targeted ads on Today.com is because the bloggers don’t use keywords in their post titles (this is the main trigger for what ads Google produces on your page) and they have several unrelated posts (and titles) on a single page. The Google bot is forced to determine what your page is about in order to serve relevant ads. If you do not target a keyword in your post title and have several post titles on a page the end result is a mishmash of ads usually not relevant to anything in particular and almost never relevant to what your social traffic is looking for. (It’s worth noting that Social Traffic rarely clicks ads anyway nor do they buy advertising or buy from advertisers. A problem Today.com is having trying to monetize all the social traffic blogs here on Today.com) This means that any clicks you do receive will not convert well for the advertiser and Google will give them a discount by simply paying Today.com a few pennies instead of the bid price.

Why be Normal should be showing ads for various humor related topics as that is what the traffic is looking for. Instead the site is showing ads as follows;

If her post titles all contained related “humor” or “Funny Pics” keywords she would see an instant change in the ads displayed and Today.com would see a much better return as far as CPC (cost per click) is concerned. Changing her blog title to “Humour Photos - Why Be Normal” would have the most impact on both her search rankings and Adsense relevancy. Moreover the blog description should simply read, “Humorous Photos and Funny Pictures to make you laugh”. If her friends would change their anchored links pointing at Melissa’s blog to related keywords like “funny pics”, “humor Photos”, “Humorous Pictures” etc she would see a sharp increase in search traffic as her blog ascends the serp’s for those terms.

These simple tips will work for any site and aside from making you more money with Adsense they will increase your readership and comment levels as you will be drawing in targeted visitors. Melissa averages 3k - 7k visitors a day with un-targeted traffic and has to post often and work the social networks to keep the traffic coming. Is it worth all the work? Today.com isn’t making much from the traffic, Melissa has few comments and her RSS feed subscribers show no readers. (using Blog Perfume Feed Analysis which may be broken? )

This Adsense blog had a whopping two posts for the month of March. How did my traffic stack up?

13,300 unique visitors or 6,650 unique visitors per post. Not a lot of work put in any way you look at it. I even made $40 for the effort but that isn’t why I’m here. I am simply trying to dominate another set of keywords related to the make money online niche. In time I will add more and more targeted keywords to this site and eventually drive 1000’s of visitors here daily without doing much of anything. It’s the ultimate system for passive income and I have reproduced this method countless times before.

My main blog produced the following search traffic over the final two weeks of March with only two posts;

and in case you don’t believe that targeted search traffic makes money this shot shows how well each keyword converted into revenue;

No amount of social traffic will give you those kind of earnings for the work involved.

Be smart - blog socially if that is your thing but at least optimize your sites for the search engines. Using proper keywords in your URL’s and Titles will create useful anchored links even from social bloggers who don’t know what an anchored link is. They just send links using your URL so make sure your URL has your keyword in it and you will rank for it in the serp’s. Eventually you won’t have to chase social traffic. Google will send you all the traffic you need.

Adsense has become very popular lately, people even refer to it as the new "internet gold mine". And yes, it is true that Adsense is unique and a very interesting way to earn money on the internet with one or more websites. Sadly, as with anything else new and popular, there are always an increasing number of scam artists that are monetising on peoples urge to learn. Together with the popularity of Google Adsense, a whole new breed of scam artists have been born - The Adsense Scammers.

The Adsense Scammers usually use some very intriguing ad copy (marketing text) on their websites, and tries to lure new customers in with screenshots claiming big Adsense income or big increases in Adsense income from a certain date and forward. The truth about most of these screenshots are sadly, that anyone can do such a screenshot - and then alter it in any graphics program like Adobe Photoshop. The image then reflects a very "coloured" truth, and this is possible due to the changes Google has made in its policies to allow publishers to disclose their earnings, but on the same time not to allow publishers to reveal impressions, clicks and ctr.

So what kind of products should you be careful about purchasing ?

The Adsense scam products can actually be categorised into the following:

1. "The BIG Adsense Secret" E-book.

Adsense Scam claim: Several websites claims to have the "unrevealed Adsense secret" that you simply can't live without! Usually it is claimed that these secrets will "skyrocket" your Adsense earnings virtually overnight. You can buy yourself access to this "untold information" for only $30-$100.

Adsense Fact: There are no secrets to reveal about Adsense. Anyone can earn with Adsense, and to improve performance read up on ad placement, ad colours, website content and website traffic. All this information is freely available here on Adsenseguide, and can also be found on various forums on the internet.

2. "Million Dollar Keyword Lists".

Adsense Scam claim: When you purchase a list of "fresh top paying keywords" you can literally skyrocket your Adsense earnings, simply by changing a few words on your pages. These scam sites claims that they have developed new techniques to finding these keywords, and that their members/customers are making a "killing" creating pages based on these keywords. It is not unusual to meet claims of people making $10-$20 per click using these lists. The Adsense Scam Keyword lists can be yours either on a monthly subscription from $20 per month, or for purchase for anything from $20-$200 per list.

Adsense Fact: Yes, you can improve your earnings per click by changing/optimizing your page content. However, the obscene claims of clicks that pays $10-$20 or more are nothing more then "clever" marketing in 95% of the cases. The reason is that Google (and the advertisers), are very selective about which sites that are allowed to display these high paying keywords. Usually, advertiser select to only show these ads on Google's search result screen, meaning that they never get displayed on publisher websites. The so called "new techniques" used to generate these keyword lists, are freely available to anyone interested, and only requires a bit of work on your part. You can download a 100% Free list of keywords here, and if you want to further examine keywords simply do the following:

Signup with Google Adwords, and then use the keyword sandbox tool to find a lot related keywords to your initial keyword idea. Then simply copy/paste the results into the traffic estimator tool at Adwords, and you will get an idea of the value of the given keyword.

It is crucial to understand that there are many factors that are at work determining keyword value and the actual payout. First off, Google will take its share of the click price (educated guesses is in the range of 30-40%). Then we have the earlier ad placement factor, advertisers might only want to pay high for ads displayed on Google's own sites, meaning that they will never reach your site. And then if the ad does get to your page, your visitors needs to click on the exact ad. The last factor I will discuss here is Country/location. Advertisers can choose to only display their ads based on specific regions/countries/languages. What this means is that they can choose to display their ads on websites that are hosted in i.e. Spain, with Spanish content, and are only interested in visitors from let's say Spain. So if one of these ads, does get served on your site for some reason, there are many factors that will drive the click price down.

Often the same keyword lists are sold on many domains, always claiming to be fresh and "unshared". So be careful not ending up buying the same lists more than once ;-)

3. "Automated Adsense Software".

Adsense Scam claim: This is one of my "favourite" Adsense Scams! Visitors are encouraged to purchase some "set and forget software" that will generate Adsense income on "auto pilot". Most of the software does nothing more then steal (yes, I said steal) content from sites through various scraping methods (reads a webpage and gets the content from it, or through rss feeds). All you will have to do is upload the script to your website, enter a few details and the script creates thousand of content pages - just waiting to put cash in your pocket. Each of these "unique Adsense cash scripts", can be yours for somewhere between $100-$1000+.

Adsense Fact: Scripts can be good to help you in the process of writing content (note: Writing). This is usually called CMS scripts (content management systems), and is a great way to create your design once, and from then on only focus on writing content for your pages in a simple web based text editor.

The "Automated Adsense Software" is basically nothing more then a very basic CMS system, but instead of you doing the content the script is configured to grab it from all over the internet. These scripts use many more or less sneaky methods of doing this, but the end result is the same - they are cluttering the search engines with duplicate and useless content. If you decide to use any of these scripts, you should be very careful for several reasons that are not so obvious to most people :

* You risk getting banned from Adsense, because you are very likely to violate the terms of "creating websites purely for Adsense".
* You risk getting blacklisted from the search engines, because you are using "scraped" content.
* You are likely to "turn on the warnings lights" at the search engines, because you have a new site with 1000's of content pages from day 1.
* Don't count on any visitors returning to your site (actually you need return visitors to perform well with Adsense), because they only find useless duplicate content.
* You often have little or no control of SEO optimizing the outputted pages.
* You are likely to getting yourself a "bad reputation". Your name is a "big asset" on the internet.
* You have no idea of what the script is doing, it could be driving traffic to other sites, stealing e-mails etc.

4. "Read/Listen - Learn to how I made thousands with Adsense".

Adsense Scam claim: Oh boy, this is another great Adsense scam category. By simply reading a short report or even a long e-book about Adsense, you will have an "arsenal of Adsense secrets" ready to bring in the big bucks. The first chapters are usually filled with general Adsense information, then followed by the "life story" of the author or a friend of the author. Then we arrive at the "juicy" part (usually only 1 chapter), that again and again describes how to position your ads, what colours to use, ad blending and perhaps you will even find a way to "Skyrocket Adsense CTR". Often these reports and e-books tells you to purchase this and that software, so that you have anything you need ready at hand. These Adsense reports and Adsense e-books are sold from anywhere between $9.95 and up to over $100. Lately it seems that these reports and e-books have "evolved" a bit, so that you now can simply listen to the author or even view a few "power packed videos" online.

Adsense Fact: The first thing that comes to mind with all these products are "Damn - this guy must be a nutcase!". He or she has found the "one and only Adsense secret" and is making a killing (see the usual attached screenshot). If they had really found the "big secret", why on earth would they share it with anyone else? Sure they claim to be a nice person, want to share information etc. The real fact is however, that 95% of these products are nothing less then created to scam innocent people like you to pay. Flashy e-book covers, income statements / examples - usually both Adsense screenshots/checks, affiliate checks, bank statements are all displayed with the only purpose of talking to your greed. It is not unlikely to find testimonials or statements from people worldwide like "John/Canada , Lisa / New York" etc. Adsense statements and testimonials like these are part of the sales page psychology - to make you think "wow! Lisa is from New York like me, and had never done it before - if she can then so can I!".

Often these products are "backed" by a 100% refund policy if you make no money using their Adsense tips and tricks. Great huh? Well, actually they can refuse to give you a refund at any time, because if you use Adsense - how will you prove that even a small increase isn't based on the information they "provided"?

If you're feeling any qualms, don't worry. If you read through the TOS [https://google.com/adsense/policies], no rules are being broken by this method. There is no need to modify any of Google's code.

Next, we need to call logClick everytime someone clicks on an Adsense ad. This is done by loading the ad through an IFRAME and embedding an onFocus event into the IFRAME tag. For example.

Quick explanation
Once the Adsense ad is clicked, the IFRAME that it has been embedded within will "focus," thus calling the Javascript function logClick. This function will then call trackerScript.php and pass to it the current page's title, as well as the current window status message. (Note: The URL of the clicked ad is displayed in the window status message. Eureka!)

The rest of the work is done in trackerScript.php. Essentially, all this script does it store values into your MySQL database. Here is a quick example:

How to research and promote Clickbank Products - Tools and Tips

Promoting products on Clickbank as an affiliate isn’t as easy as 123. I recently started to research the Clickbank marketplace and it’s products and have found some interesting tools / sites that can be useful in selecting products. At the end I will show a method to promote Clickbank products on Adwords and a ’secret’ tip that can be useful in reducing the cost of aquiring a Clickbank info-product.

What is Clickbank?
If you don’t know what Clickbank is: it is the main portal for selling and buying information products, mainly ebooks, in a wide variety of categories. You can promote these digital products as an affiliate and earn a percentage of the sale, somewhere between 25% and 75% of the selling price, which in most cases varies between 10 and 100 dollars. If done right, this can be very profitable for both seller and affiliate. To quote Cilckbank:

ClickBank has quickly become a global leader in the sale of digital goods online with more than 10,000 product publishers and over 100,000 registered affiliates. Each day, ClickBank completes nearly 20,000 orders from more than 200 countries around the world. ClikcBank.com is consistently ranked as one of the most highly trafficked sites on the internet.

Choosing Clickbank products to promote
There are so many products available on Clickbank that choosing the right one to promote is a not-so-easy task. There are several websites that can help you in this process. Firstly there is CBengine, which stands for … ClickBank engine. Wow It is much easier to navigate than the Clickbank site itself and has a lot more options to check for products, authors and statistics. When you signup as a member, there are even more options available to get inside information. A page I regularly check here is the Clickbank movers and shakers page.

Analysing Clickbank products
Another useful website that I recently discovered is the Clickbank Analytics website. Its business model doesn’t rely on membership fees but on Google AdSense, so all the content is free for the grabs. And content they have! Loads of graphs depicting everything (well almost) you’d like to know about current or new products on the Clickbank Marketplace. On the bottom of the right column of the homepage is an interesting list of top-gravity-gainers. If you are just starting as a (Clickbank) affiliate it may be a good idea to focus on new products (less competition!) which pick up gravity fast, meaning they probably are very interesting to promote.

One method to promote Clickbank products
The following method was developed (or published) by Chris McNeeney, author of some of the best selling Clickbank ebooks about affilaite marketing methods, among them Affiliate Project X, the famous DayJobKiller and lastly Google Assassin. The following article can be found on Allan Gardynes great website Associate Programs. I will quote it here:

The hottest products to promote are invariably the new ones - that is true for physical products (PlayStation 3 anyone?), but it is also true for ebooks, which brings me to the biggest affiliate network for digital products, ClickBank.com.

ClickBank lists its latest products in a separate category, titled “New products”. Here is a simple technique that fits in the above guidelines - each week, 50 to 100 new products are added to the ClickBank marketplace.

In our experience, do you know what factor precedes a product about to blow? The number of brand searches for that product. If five people search for [affiliate project x] today and 50 tomorrow, it’s about to blow, BUT you wouldn’t be able to see this by glancing at the ClickBank marketplace until it’s too late…

So, that’s the background; here’s how we are going to do market research on new products AND only promote on super targeted keywords. First, each time a new product is launched on ClickBank, set up a single AdWords ad for that product targeted the [product name] keyword. Chances are, at this early stage there will be no other affiliates there (and often not even the merchant).

We simply throw up a direct affiliate link (going straight through our hoplink). Ideally, cloak the link and upload it to your website (so you get around Google’s “double serving” rule). We insert a bid price of $0.50 - and let it run. For 90% of the products there, you will get very few searches (but quite a few clicks). However, every so often, the product will suddenly start go gather steam - which is the opportune time to go to the next step and write a full pre-sell for the product, or start promoting it on broader keywords (as now it has been proven to convert). You can see which products are getting popular by looking at the impressions for each product - if any product suddenly starts to get lots of impressions, you should take a closer look.

This method allows you to use AdWords impressions to track market research, and also to pay cents for super targeted clicks that no one else is bidding on. It’s a time consuming technique, but it works.
