ફેબ્રુઆરી ૧૬, ૨૦૧૨ ના <a href="http://www.metro.co.uk/home/" target="_blank">મેટ્રો વર્તમાનપત્ર</a>માં સમાચાર હતા કે <a href="http://www.metro.co.uk/news/890389-unemployment-highest-in-16yrs-but-uk-will-avoid-recession-in-2012" target="_blank">યુ.કે.નો બેકારીનો દર પાછલા ૧૬ વર્ષોમાં સૌથી વધારે ૨૦૧૨ માં રહ્યો છે</a>, તેમ છતાં યુ.કે. મંદીની પકડમાંથી મુક્ત રહી શકશે. અડધા પાનાના આ સમાચારની બાજુમાં એક નાનકડી બોક્ષ આઈટમ હતી, તે વાંચોઃ</div>

સમાચારમાં કેટલું તથ્ય છે એ તો તપાસનો વિષય છે, પરંતું આ ઊલટી ગંગા વહેતી જોઈને ભારતીયોએ ગર્વ લેવાની સાથે વિચારવા જેવું પણ ખરું. યુવક-યુવતીઓ એવી માનસિક તૈયારી સાથે વિદેશની વાટ પકડતાં હોય છે કે શરૂઆતમાં ટકી રહેવા માટે વેઈટરની કે ક્લીનરની જોબ પણ જો કરવી પડશે તો કરી લઈશું. આટલો સંઘર્ષ કરવાની તૈયારી જો સ્વદેશમાં પણ રાખવામાં આવે, તો ભારતમાં પણ ઘણી તક છે, તે વાત તો પાક્કી.</div>
