My KINDER Moments is a tool created by the Moms behind KINDER Surprise to help add a bit of fun to your favorite photos with themed frames. Take a peek at what you can do with your photos, directly from your Facebook albums or uploaded from your hard drive in just a few minutes:

My boys on Halloween

My girls and their snowman

Even the kids can have fun creating frames. My kids don’t have their own cameras, so they are always happy when I let them use my camera or phone to let them try their hand at photography. Now, they can give their photos that extra little touch before sharing them with their friends.

Check it out on the KINDER Canada Facebook page and register to create your own My KINDER Moments album. Each time you frame a special moment you’ll automatically be entered to win a prize in their monthly promotion. The prize for November is a digital camera valued around $500!

Disclosure: I’m part of the KINDER® Mom program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.

This post brought to you by EdenFantasys, an online retailer of sex toys.

The Bandeau ruffle skirt set by Fantasy Lingerie is made out of 100% polyester which has a smooth feeling to it; similar to a swim suit. The inside of the skirt has a layer of mesh which adds to the visual appeal but does not feel scratchy in any way. I ordered the X Large and the skirt is 9″ long and about 18″ across unstretched. The cute bow tops off the look in a way that only a bow can, but should you wish to remove it you will have to carefully cut the single thread holding it in place.

The bra top, at first glance, looks like a fairly shapeless tube top. Laying flat it measures around 16″ across and 9″ from top to bottom. The center scrunches up to give it shape by pulling on the ribbons, but much of this shape seems to be lost while worn. In fact, it looked quite saggy and unattractive. Before completely giving up on it, I decided to pull the ribbon tight and tie a knot in the center before pulling it up around my neck to give the top a little more shape. While still saggy, it works… but still doesn’t look all that good. Honestly, I likely won’t be using the top very often but I do like the skirt.

It comes packaged in a pink box which includes an image of the model wearing the set (just like the photo here). The washing directions on the tag say to machine wash in warm water on a gentle cycle, and tumble dry on low. The tag also says not to twist or wring. However, I chose to hand wash and hang dry so can’t say how it holds up in the machine.

This set is available from EdenFantasys in both One Size (6-12) and X Large (16-18). The pink set is available in both sizes, and there is also a blue set which is currently only available in One Size. The material is very stretchy, so even if you fall in the upper end of the sizing chart (or slightly beyond) you should still be able to wear it.

When it comes to laundry detergent, I’ve definitely used a multitude of brands. I generally use whatever I have available, which is often whatever happened to be on sale. I’m not very picky about which one I use; as long as it gets the job done (and let me tell you, there are several which just don’t cut it), I’m happy.

The small measuring scoop which comes with the 5lb container of Tropical Traditions Laundry Detergent initially had me worried, since it only holds 1/4 cup. I wondered if I should use more than a single scoop, or if it would be necessary to add additional oxygen bleach to the load in order to get a thorough cleaning. Fortunately, I was wrong!

So far, nothing has needed any additional care for stains. If you saw some of my kids clothes, especially their socks, you would know that this is a very good thing! I haven’t found any left over residues or had the need to run an extra rinse, and my laundry comes out of the dryer with virtually no odors.

I’ve been using this detergent without any problems on all of my laundry, including my toddlers cloth diapers. Now, don’t take my word as any kind of guarantee that Tropical Traditions would work for you, but trust me when I say it’s worth a try! With no dyes, perfumes, fillers or phosphates, it’s hard to go wrong.

Be sure to enter my Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent Giveaway for your chance to try it out for yourself!

When I was a kid, there were only two things I loved collecting more than stuffed animals: Kinder Surprise, and McDonalds toys. I had hundreds of them! Every time I went to visit my Dad, he would greet me with a handful of eggs and we would go to McDonalds to get the newest toys. Believe it or not, I was one of few kids who didn’t like chocolate so my Dad would eat the chocolate while I got to keep the toy. If it happened to be one of those darned puzzles, I would gift it back to my Dad who would happily accept them. It might not sound like the most amazing story, but now that my Dad has passed away, these memories are all I have since I (unfortunately) no longer have my childhood toy collection.

I don’t spoil my kids with candy as often as my Dad did for me, but Kinder Surprise is still a well known name in my house and I was quite excited to be chosen as one of the Canadian Moms to be chosen as a Kinder Mom through Mom Central. You see, I’m still a big kid at heart and having fun is an important part of my daily routines. While I don’t have my childhood collection, I do still enjoy joining my children to share the joy in theirs.

It’s because of this that I’m even more excited to share news of their all-new, Kinder Surprise 2012 Toy Collection. Your kids will still enjoy the same great chocolate, but experience a toy collection featuring over 70 brand new toys. Including some extraordinary bigger, better, more playful toys that will knock your socks off! You can take a peek at some of the fantastic new toys on the Kinder Canada Facebook Page.

Nearly Half of Parents are Unaware if Cyberbullying is an Issue at Their Child’s School, Finds New WebWatcher Survey

Other Top Parental Concerns about Children’s Internet and Mobile Phone Usage
Include Sexting and Online Predators

Los Angeles, CA – August 29, 2011– While 89 percent of parents said they talk to their children about proper Internet safety, 40 percent do not know if cyberbullying is an issue at their child’s school, according to findings of Awareness Technologies’ new survey of parents using WebWatcher, the leading parental monitoring software.

“Parents do their best to stay involved in their children’s lives, but the reality is kids don’t always tell them about issues at school or with friends, making it critical for parents to be in the know about who their children are interacting with,” said Brad Miller, CEO of Awareness Technologies.

As expected, eighty percent of survey respondents noted that they’re most worried about their children participating in sexting and other unacceptable behaviors online and on mobile phones, but surprisingly, only 20 percent responded that cyberbullying is their biggest worry. Online predators were the second highest fear with 55 percent noting that as a top concern.

The survey also questioned participants about their children’s mobile phone usage, and found that seventy-six percent of respondents’ children have their own mobile phone. Among other key mobile findings:

40 percent of respondents’ children are using basic mobile phones; 20 percent are using Android devices, 18 percent have iPhones and 12 percent are using BlackBerry devices

46 percent of respondents believe the best time for a child to get his/her own phone is during Middle School (Grades 6-8) and 45 percent believe it’s best to wait until High School (Grades 9-12)

The majority of respondents (49 percent) first purchased a mobile phone for their child when he/she was aged 13-18, followed by 32 percent who bought a cellphone for their child aged 7-12

When asked about how they use WebWatcher, 50 percent of respondents purchased WebWatcher to monitor their children’s online and smartphone activities. The majority (53 percent) of those monitoring children are recording activities by children aged 13-18 years old, followed by children aged 7-12 years, representing 31 percent, and 20 percent are monitoring children aged 2-6 years. Additionally, fifty-one percent of all respondents noted that they purchased WebWatcher to monitor someone other than a child.

The survey found that sixty-five percent noted that of all the features WebWatcher offers, they like WebWatcher’s remote monitoring capability that allows them to access the recorded data from any computer with an Internet connection – a feature that Awareness Technologies provides exclusively. Other desirable WebWatcher features among parents include email monitoring (55 percent) and IM and chat monitoring (47 percent).

Awareness Technologies survey was conducted in July and August 2011 with the objective of gaining a better perspective of the current WebWatcher customer base. Subsequently, the survey asked a series of questions relating to parental issues and concerns regarding their child’s Internet usage and mobile phone usage. 1,398 WebWatcher customers participated in the survey.

About Awareness Technologies
As the pioneer in remote monitoring, Awareness Technologies (www.webwatchernow.com) has set the standard for computer and cell phone monitoring software both from a feature set perspective and from an ease-of-use perspective. Its WebWatcher solution is the leading computer monitoring software and its keystroke logger outperforms all other keylogger monitoring software programs on the market.

Excel in all that you do with an all natural, easy-to-digest, plant-based protein. Kick start your day, use as mid-day fuel, or incorporate into your pre or post workout regime to help your body replenish.

Manitoba Harvest offers five different protein powders; HEMP PRO 70, HEMP PRO 50, our Certified Organic HEMP PRO FIBER and our Organic flavored hemp protein powders in dark chocolate and vanilla. Each of these protein powders have 10 essential amino acids and are rich in essential fatty acids (omegas).

I was sent a couple of small packages of Hemp Pro 70 from Manitoba Harvest to try out, and once those were gone I made a trip to one of my local health food stores to buy a full sized jar. I had called them in advance to make sure they had it since the previous stores I had checked didn’t. When I got there, I was a little disappointed to find that they didn’t carry the water soluble Hemp Pro 70 and ended up buying the Hemp Pro 50 instead. Thankfully all of Manitoba Harvest’s products can be purchased directly from their website, which is what I will be doing in the future since it’s much easier than running around the city trying to find it!

Wondering what the difference in the above hemp protein varieties is? This chart, taken from their FAQ should help:

Here is a great protein smoothie that can be drank as a complete meal. It’s filling, nutritious, and tastes good too! Credit for this recipe goes to Shane Jeremy James, author of Think, Act, Love, Lose Weight.

Pineapple Smoothie: (Makes 2 servings)

1/2 medium or large Papaya (the riper the better)

1 Banana

2-3 slices pineapple (or 1 cup)

2-3 Pitted Dates

1 Tbsp Flax seed

1 Tbsp Coconut Oil (liquid form works best)

1 Tbsp Hemp Protein Power

2 cups water (filtered, if possible)

I tried this with both the Hemp Pro 70 and the Hemp Pro 50, and didn’t notice a difference in texture or taste, but the Hemp Pro 50 is a darker shade of green so it does change the color of the smoothie quite a bit. The smoothie in my photo has a little less than a full tbsp of powder. If you follow this recipe exactly as listed, it will be a few shades darker. The pineapple & coconut oil take over most of the flavor, and the banana is very subtle but noticeable.

I also like to throw in a handful of blueberries with this recipe, which turns the smoothie into a rich purple and alters the flavor wonderfully. The only reason I don’t add the blueberries every time is that it really only works well if consumed immediately. Since this recipe makes 2 servings, I put the second one in the fridge for lunch (or sometimes until the next morning), but the blueberries thicken it considerably. You can always add more water to thin it out if you prefer it with the blueberries though!

The consistency of your smoothie will highly be based on your blender. The blender in my photo has only been used for a few months and has 18 speeds. It slices through everything I’ve put into it to a mush. On the other hand, my several years old 3 speed basic blender leaves the smoothie less than smooth. If you plan on making smoothies daily, or at least often, I highly suggest picking up a good quality blender.
