India protest against Pakistan Apex court order on Gilgit Baltistan

On Monday, India lodged a Strong protest against Pakistan SC's Court order allowing to be held in Gilgit Baltistan, by declare that Pakistani institutions have “no locus standi on territories illegally and forcibly occupied by it”.

On 30th April, the Pakistan Supreme Court allowed the federal government to amend the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan Order 2018 to conduct the general elections as well as setting up a caretaker government during the interregnum period. In short order allowed the government to hold general elections in September in Gilgit-Baltistan and setting up a caretaker government during the interim period.

India Protested every time on PAK took decision in POK. Statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, India lodged a “strong protest” through the demarche, that “clearly conveyed that the entire Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, including the areas of Gilgit and Baltistan, are an integral part of India by virtue of its fully legal and irrevocable accession”.

“India completely rejects such actions and continued attempts to bring material changes in Pakistan occupied areas of the Indian territory of Jammu & Kashmir”.

“Government of India’s position in the matter is reflected in the resolution passed by the Parliament in 1994 by consensus," it added.

According to the Pakistan constitution, POK (Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan) are not a parts of PAK. Pakistan considers Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan as autonomous region, it has made special effects to make sure Gilgit Baltistan in control of PAK. Currently Gilgit Baltistan is neither a province nor a state. It has a special provincial status.

Why PAK crumble autonomy of Gilgit Baltistan?

Because of China and CPEC(China Pakistan Economic Corridor) factor. The CPEC project is passed through the Gilgit-Baltistan region and China have a fear of invest on disputed region. So by eroding autonomy Pakistan give reassurance and made comfortable China by changing demography for investment in Gilgit-Baltistan region.

During Coronavirus pandemic, Pakistani Army is trying to take advantage of the crisis and push militants into Jammu and Kashmir. Recently, on the Handwara encounter, Gen. Naravane said India is proud of the five security personnel who laid down their lives saving civilians from terrorists at a village in the North Kashmir locality.

Last week, Trump raise the issues by saying that he has seen evidence that the virus came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, but he declined to elaborate.

In return, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman said "The U.S. government has ignored the facts, diverted public attention and engaged in buck-passing in an attempt to shirk its responsibility for incompetence in the fight against the epidemic."

The US secretary of state,Mike Pompeo, mention on Sunday there is “enormous evidence” the coronavirus outbreak originated in a Chinese laboratory.

Many people believed that it may be possible that the cronavirus outbreak started from China but it just an scenario based on the theory that Coronavirus naturally transmitted from bat.

China always reject that the virus is escaped from Wuhan Laboratory. So why Chinese authorities did not allow foreign experts of other countries and WHO for investigation of the origin of corona and take samples of Wild animals. Let see how and when will China give answers.

British Doctors warn people may be killed if we use Chinese Ventilators

On April 4, Cabinet ministers proudly announced that they buying 300 ventilators from China. "I'd like to thank the Chinese government for their support in securing that capacity," said by Michael Gove, a important member of Boris Johnson's government. Unfortunately, nine days later, a group of senior doctors and medical managers issued a serious warning about 250 Chinese ventilators that they received.

The doctors said the machines had a problematic oxygen supply, could not be cleaned properly, had an unfamiliar design and a confusing instruction manual, and were built for use in ambulances, not hospitals. "We believe that if used, significant patient harm, including death, is likely," British doctors said in the letter. “We look forward to the withdrawal and replacement of these ventilators with devices better able to provide intensive care ventilation for our patients.”

China narratives seemed to be failed

LOCKDOWN Extends by two weeks

Lockdown 3.0 due to increasing in the number of the Corona cases reached 35,365 and Death toll stands at 1,152 in India.

According to latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, 9,065 people have been cured so far. The third time the government has imposed a nationwide lockdown after March 25 and April 14. "After a comprehensive review, and in view of the Lockdown measures having led to significant gains in the COVID-19 situation in the country, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India (GoI) issued an Order under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, today, to further extend the Lockdown for a further period of two weeks beyond May 4, 2020," an order by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs stated. COVID -19 Vaccine in the Market likely by September

A vaccine for coronavirus may be available in the market as early as the end of September, the chief of the world's largest vaccine maker. The Pune-based Serum Institute of India is working with scientists in the UK and the US to manufacture a vaccine for the global pandemic. The cost of vaccine would be roughly around Rs 1000. Vaccine production will take till 2021 with Codagenix and other US partners. The human trial of the Oxford's vaccine -- one of more than 100 being developed across the world -- started on April 23. Clinical trials of seven others -- some of them located in China and the US -- are also being held.

"That's what we hope to do by the end of May- we hope to start producing this vaccine so that by the time the trials get over in September, we could have a product that we can give to the Indian people and the world and not have to wait another 6 months after that to manufacture the vaccine," Adar Poonawalla, the chief of Serum Institute of India

Serum Institute of India, the world's largest vaccine maker by number of doses produced and sold globally. The 53-year-old company makes 1.5 billion doses every year, mainly from its two facilities in the western city of Pune. (It has two other small plants in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.) Around 7,000 people work for the firm.

The company supplies some 20 vaccines to 165 countries. Some 80% of its vaccines are exported and, at an average of 50 cents a dose, they are some of the cheapest in the world.

How India will play a major role?

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said last fortnight that India and the US were working together to develop vaccines against the coronavirus.

The two countries have run an internationally recognised joint vaccine development programme for more than three decades.

They have worked on stopping dengue, enteric diseases, influenza and TB in their tracks. Trials of a dengue vaccine are planned in the near future.

India is among the largest manufacturer of generic drugs and vaccines in the world. It is home to half a dozen major vaccine makers and a host of smaller ones, making doses against polio, meningitis, pneumonia, rotavirus, BCG, measles, mumps and rubella, among other diseases. Now half a dozen Indian firms are developing vaccines against the virus that causes Covid-19.

Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor is survived by his daughter Riddhima, son Ranbir Kapoor, and wife Neetu.

Condolences were posted by President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "He was so full of life that it's difficult to believe that he is no more," tweet President Kovind. PM Modi described Mr Kapoor as "multi-faceted, endearing and lively" and said he would remember their social media interactions.

Rishi Kapoor began his career with roles in his father Raj Kapoor's films. As a child, he made an appearance in the Shree 420 song Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua. He played a young version of his father in 1970 film Mera Naam Joker, winning the National Award for Best Child Artist for his performance. Three years later, he made his debut as a leading man in Bobby. Rishi Kapoor swiftly became the top romantic hero of his day with films such as Rafoo Chakkar and Karz. Mr Kapoor worked his entire life, delivering some of his best performances in later films like 2012's Agneepath and 2018's Mulk.

Irrfan Khan, an icon of Indian cinema who had a string of Anglo-American successes under his belt, including Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi and Jurassic World, has died in Mumbai.

Irrfan Khan, one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars who had achieved considerable success in the west, has died aged 53. Actor Irrfan khan's last rites took place in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon, soon after he died in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Mr Khan, 53, was being treated for an colon infection and just hours before he died, his spokesperson said "he was still fighting the battle". A statement released by his family said, "Irrfan was buried at the Versova kabrastan in Mumbai at 3 pm this afternoon soon after the news of his passing away was announced.

Irrfan Khan's family members, including his two sons, were photographed exiting the Mumbai hospital in the afternoon; filmmakers Tigmanshu Dhulia, who worked with the actor in Paan Singh Tomar, and Abhinay Deo, who directed Mr Khan in Blackmail, were also spotted.

Irrfan Khan's death has left a void in Indian cinema and millions of broken-hearted fans. He was "a rare talent and a brilliant actor," tweeted President Ram Nath Kovind. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Irrfan Khan's death as "a loss to the world of cinema and theatre" in his condolence tweet.

Irrfan Khan's mother Saeeda Begum died at the age of 95 on Saturday morning in Jaipur.Mr Khan paid his last respects to his late mother through a video conferencing session.

Irrfan Khan was last seen in Angrezi Medium, which released a little over a week before the lockdown was imposed in India. The actor wasn't part of the film's promotions because of his health; he spoke to his fans via a video message ahead of the trailer release of the film. His movie credits include internationally acclaimed offerings such as The Lunchbox and the Hollywood blockbuster Jurassic World .

Recent FDI changes, the Indian Government $G o v e r n m e n t$ amended its Foreign direct investment (FDI) policy to put a blanket ban on investments through the automatic route.

As per the new amendment, FDI investments into Indian companies from the neighbouring countries will now require a nod from the government. This will be applicable to all countries that share a land border with India – such as China among others.
This move is aimed to curb opportunistic takeover due to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially from China, now puts all investments from India’s neighbors under the approval route.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has by Press Note No. 3 (2020 Series) amended the FDI policy for curbing ‘opportunistic takeovers/acquisitions of Indian companies due to the current COVID-19 pandemic’.

1. This comes after China's central bank recently raised stake in Housing. Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) to a little over 1 percent.

2. Globally, transactions by Chinese firms and institutions have come under observation recently since the assets are being purchased at low valuations. Nations such as the US, Japan and Australia have already placed restrictions on Chinese companies buying assets.
