I stumbled across this article on MSNBC.com and thought it's worth mentioning.... It turns out that Wal-Mart has got us cover from the cradle to the grave...You can buy infants milk at Wal-mart as well as coffins online, that's right, coffins.... Now it is truly your one-stop shopping destination...The best part is that you can find the caskets under the "health and beauty" section:) I would love to thank Wal-mart for reminding us that one day we all are getting up out of here...Way to go Wal-Mart!

Phyllis Schafly the well-known conservative activist son Andrew...Has decided to fix something that I did not realize was broken-the Bible...Now this Harvard Law and Princeton undergraduate who's major was in electrical engineering has the urge to fix something... Andrew has actually taken it upon himself not just to mis-interpret Scripture, which would at least leave room for discussion, but to change the actual wording of Scripture for his purposes....Clearly, Andrew believes that Jesus would be a Republican.... Worse than that, he wants to strike out any evidence to the contrary....Andrew is the one who created Conservapedia which is the conservative’s answer to Wikipedia, an on line encyclopedia that he believes has a liberal bias.... Conservapedia, however, is more than a conservative encyclopedia.... It has undertaken the translation of the Bible that will correct the liberal thoughts that's in the book...The best translator of any thing especially the Bible is the Holy Spirit... who merely points to Jesus’ words and meanings as He intended them to be... Gospel rapper Da’ T.R.U.T.H. announced that:

“in light of a moral indiscretion in my personal life, I will be taking a sabbatical from music ministry and teaching upon fulfilling my current commitments to work closely with my pastor, church, and restoration team.”

When we sin and fall down is it best to just be quiet about it and let it be discovered or put it out there and let's deal with it? What's done in the dark always comes to the light...Da' Truth could have hide this from his wife and the public but he chose not to....But by taking this path it seem to say that he's more honest, more repentant and more mindful of the path to recovery and restoration...Mine-you he was the first one to come forward and admit that he fell.... I respect Da Truth a lot more because he came out and said something... Right now, there’s talk going around about Tye Tribbett…Right now he’s not acknowledging or admitting to anything...But if it turn out that he did get someone pregnant who was not his wife and he has lied and denied his sin and wouldn't take responsibility for his actions, let’s just say I’m not gonna be a fan any more....That's how Jay Moss lost me as a fan of his music....You can not receive from someone you don't respect bottom line....Da Truth is not justifiying his actions... he acknowledges they're wrong and he's not leading people in the wrong direction by kind of excusing his behavior.... Out of all the mess that's come to light lately.. so far.. this one has been handled the best....Right now marriage is under attack!

Sammy Sosa’s previously dark skin is now Michael Jackson-pale, and fans want to know exactly how one of their favorite players of all time has drastically changed so much over the past few years...Retired MLB right fielder Sammy Sosa seems to have undergone a bit of a strange transformation after his last appearance in baseball in 2007....Sosa hasn’t commented on his new, lighter complexion, but the internet is speculating that Vitiligo or fashion bleaching may be at least partly a cause.In addition the cat-like green eyes seems to suggest the latter may be more likely than the former.

Michael Jordan was one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game!” And there’s no denying it...He ruled the air, claimed the victory, and his induction into the Hall of Fame, on September 11th , proved his greatness... But when I ran across his induction speech that was post on Youtube it revealed a seemingly unhappy man... (TO ME)...Why watching Jordan’s speech ...I noticed one common theme: Bitterness with a hint of anger.... Jordan took shots at everyone he could think of, even his children...(All I could think as I listened was, “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.” (Proverbs 27:2 ESV) It was kinda like he was assuring the listeners how spectacular he was, how important he was, how he alone won the games and built the Bulls Dynasty....What’s strange of course is that Jordan had no reason to say this.... He had already clearly shown how important to the game and the dynasty he was.... So why the speech? I can only guess, but I think it’s a good guess: Empty and Unsatisfied... Maybe Jordan is like a lot of us reflecting on our life and realizing that we have not lived our life for Jesus...I don't know what’s going on with Jordan, maybe he’s just becoming a bitter middle-aged man having a hard time transiting to the next phase of life...I don't know! but there’s no denying that if basketball or whatever is your life, when the game ends you have nothing left. All our idols, all our gods and some friends will leave us only Jesus will be true....Question:Could Jordan’s underlying obsession with competition and winning made him bitter and angry?Here's an analysis of Jordan’s and Robinson’s induction speeches....There's nothing more important than character...No matter how rich or successful you become, when you lose your character you've lost everything.

Ivanka Trump, is getting a lot of flack from Christians because of her “conversion” to Judaism in order to marry billionaire real estate titan Jared Kushner, an Orthodox Jew who is said to “take his faith very seriously.”Traditional Judaism has always discouraged such conversions.... The idea is that one should choose to convert to a religion through study, prayer and discernment...I don't believe that God would bring any one a mate that was so, so different in religion....Not denomination but religion!.... It's one thing to go from Baptist to Methodist,which both are Christian religions that lists Jesus as it's savior; to one that acknowledge Jesus never existed. Christianity is unique among all other faiths, Christianity is more about a relationship than religious practices... Instead of adhering to a list of “do’s and don’ts,” the goal of a Christian is to cultivate a close walk with God... That relationship is made possible because of the work of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit...Would you leave Jesus for love?

Debra Winans tells TMZ she’s “hurt by Oprah’s decision to have Bebe Winans on her show” — especially after she refused to have Chris Brown on her show in the wake of the Rihanna beating...Some are hollering foul...The chatter in the blogs is that Oprah has "Double Standard" when it comes to Domestic Abuse....Oprah has been friends with the Winans Family since she had them on her newly nationally syndicated talk show back in the late 80's , along with gospel singers Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Wintley Phipps on the same broadcast... She even had the entire Winans Family on for a Christmas broadcast in December 1990...So, it’s no surprise that BeBe (and CeCe) continue to make appearances on her show....I remember the time she allowed BeBe to do a whole show around his 2000 CD release, “Love and Freedom” with guest appearances by many of the guests (mainly secular) who performed on the CD with him....BeBe and Oprah are friends! We all do this ;we treat friends differently that we do a stranger...I am not saying it's right but what good is a friend if they don't have your back?Question: Is it a double standard? Or Is it a friend helping a friend? Clip here!

Pastor James David Manning has been restricted from posting new material on YouTube for “hate speech”Now, I don't for one minute believe the good pastor was preaching hate as in bringing physically assault against any one because of their race, sexual orientation, or nationality...I believe his speeches do have a hateful and ugly tone to them...But mostly what I have heard from the good pastor I don't agree with but, I believe he has the rights to say it...I don't like the fact that he referrers to the president as a long legged mac daddy....Nor do I care for the name he used to describe the president mother...Is it hate speech?I don't think so!

For some this song may appear silly and to others crazy....But for us who earnestly have a desire for Christ and a will to know Him it makes sense....The idea of the song is a story of a little boy who became hungry for God after hearing about Him in church....So after service one Sunday he told his mama he was hungry, so she went to fix him a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich....Mother was assuming his stomach needed food... But what he needed was for that void in his soul to be filled....It was a void that he couldn't explain...That void is the one that's in all mankind and it's the one that only Christ can filled...That food was the Word of God.... The bible says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God...Jesus is that "Bread of Life"At first hearing this song in the 70's I didn't get it....I thought why peanut butter and jelly...But I get it now! And by the way it was one of my MOMS favorite songs.

A pregnant woman reportedly requested every person attending the delivery of her birth be white... As in Caucasian - not the color of the doc’s coat...According to the Independent, the hospital refused although they’re under investigation for how the situation was handled...I am not a race hater nor do I believe that every thing that happens to us as a people of color is racists...But when something like this happens you have to ask that question...But the repeated comment in media reports is it’s “unknown why” the woman made the request she made... Is it possible it could have been made for another reason other than racism?Like maybe: Ne·gro·pho·bi·a

Behavior based on such an attitude or feeling.

Like I stated I am not the one to cry racism at every turn, but in this case the label might apply... Of course I have never been around the world...And neither have I heard of a religion that would call for one particular skin color at the delivery of a child...So that excuse is out...Is there a medical answer to her request?Maybe!....If so the only thing I can think of...May-be she has some kinda phobia...If that be the case we have to consider her action as an illness ...So, if she has Negrophobia would that may her a racists or a person with an illness?... Wasn't it just a few weeks ago that we heard about a judge who won't marry a couple because he feared they’d create biracial children?...What's going on? What do you think?

I was reading this article were Sean Jerguson, a Republican state representative in Georgia, has bought his 4-year-old daughter her own hot pink .22 caliber gun for her birthday...His son's fourth birthday is coming up, and he plans to buy his little boy a blue gun of his own...Jerguson says he supports the right to bear arms, and he is buying these guns to prove how strongly he feels about the issue. Question:Whether you are for gun control or against it, do you think that this dad should have bought his 4-year-old a gun (even if he never actually lets her use it)?

In my opinion I never thought Barbies did a particularly good job of representing black girls/women ....Especially when it came to the hair and the nose..... In fact,remember the new black Barbies a couple of months ago and how they caught quite a bit of flak for their hair?In fact alot of people thought it was a step backward, since the hair was straight and light brown...Any how, there's this artist Loanne Hizo Ostlie ...Who has been modifying the dolls for over 10 years, and what she came up with are much more diverse and realistic-looking , even if they do still have cat eyes and tiny waists.... But what is so impressive is her ability to change the hair of a doll . The artist has a Web site with over 300 mods of Barbie , Skipper and even a few Kens. Amazing...These Barbies actually looks like a real person. What do you think?

Prayer Changes Things!

Now when I was 21, I wouldn't have told you that, but at age 63, I can tell you that one of the most amazing surprises of the presidency was the fact that people's prayers affected me... I can't prove it to you... But I can tell you some days were great, some days not so great. But every day was joyous."

That statement was made yesterday by Former president George W. Bush...In which he made his debut as a motivational speaker.... He spoke at the Get Motivated! seminar in Texas...The president attributed alot of his joy to the prayers of others....After reading the article I was thinking did I pray for formal President Bush? I know that I voted for him...And on occasion I may have prayed for the president...But it wasn't a daily thing.

I would like to take this time to thank all prayer warriors for there many years of praying daily for formal President Bush....Now, I am asking if it's any way possible if we could do the same for President Obama.

If you're a female African-American college graduate making less than $30,000 a year and running around with a mobile device there's a study out saying you're probably tweeting more than anyone else....And if you're online, the chances are 1 in 5 that you're updating your Twitter or Face book status, according to a new study by the Pew Internet and American Life Project .

The report is another indication of how researchers are trying to figure out who we are and what you're doing on social media... A look at a new Nielsen study has put us Americans into 1 of 66 demographic segments and then goes on to described how we use social networking sites. Major trends: Facebookers are more upscale than MySpacers; bloggers are more urban than rural.)

Pew found that among those who tweet: (Hey! Carey are you reading this?)

Women (21 percent) tweet more than men (17 percent).
African-Americans (26 percent) tweet more than whites (19 percent) and Hispanics (18 percent).
Those 18-29 years old (33 percent) are the heaviest tweeters. The lightest? Those aged 65 or older (4 percent).
College graduates (21 percent) out-tweet high school graduates (17 percent).
Folks making less than $30,000 a year tweet the most (22 percent). Those making $70,000 a year or more tweet the least (20 percent).
Mobile users are much more likely to tweet than folks chained to their desks, by a margin of 25-8 percent.
The median age of a Twitter user is 31. For MySpace it's 26. LinkedIn users have a median age of 39. Facebook "is graying a bit: the median age for this social network site is now 33."

Don't Mock Me While I Am Praying.

The University of Minnesota has apologize for its mascot, which appears to have mocked a praying Penn State player at a Oct 17 Saturday's game...Dan Wolter the Minnesota spokesman says that Goldy the Gopher didn't intend to offend anyone or trivialize religion...In the clip the mascot is seen kneeling close to the defensive end Jerome Haynes in the end zone...Hayes ignores the mascot all together...This is one of the reason I love America the country...You have the pleasure and rights to embrace "freedom of speech and expression" I believe the mascot was wrong in mocking the player... But I also believe the player was wrong for taking that particular praying position that time.... I don't think it's ever alright to MOCK anyone... Satire, sarcasm and mockery are expressions used for the soul purpose of belittling someone. we should at least respect a person religions view.

On October 21 Tiffany Evans let loose a Twitter rant, blasting Rihanna 's new single, 'Russian Roulette...And in the tweet, she made a bold statement that the track might have a "negative effect on some people and that the suicide rate going to sky rocket!" The 17-year old singer went on to point out that artists have a responsibility to be aware of the messages they're promoting in their music...I have made mention many of times on this blog; about how me, myself and i believes today's music both secular and gospel have/has taken a ugly and evil turn away from any thing positive are good...Now when you here the word "Russian Roulette" what comes to mind? A gun with one bullet in it laid up against ones head....Hell! the title along is pretty dark. Just because it's dark we can't use that as an excuse for not educating our young people on reality...The reality is there's evil in the world....Superstars can't raise our kids that's our job...There's nothing pretty about putting a gun to your head. "You gotta watch what u say. Because there are a lot of weak people in the world. They are susceptible to anything so anything you say or do some people actually do listen," Evans said. "So make sure its nothing bad. Its okay to be deep, but not murder deep...(Some people are upset because she linked the music industry and celebrities to devil worshipers.) "Some of your favorite people pretend to worship God but they only do that to save face. Or seem innocent. Satan was head of music in heaven. He uses influential people ... to help influence the world." It's understood in orthodox christian theology that one characteristic of the end-times is DECEPTION! Yeah, you can you tube stars in the music industry and discover all kinds of conspiracies and secret agendas.... But the reality is, demonic influence are real and they go far beyond the scope of the music industry...Our major media outlets, corporations, news broadcasting, government and CHRISTIAN MUSIC and CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATIONS all have been demonically influenced for decades! I believe there's a lot of evil going on behind the scenes that its scary! The very things we think of as wholesome and innocent are actually the things that will FOOL THE VERY ELECT....I believe Tiffany has every right to express her feelings and share her thoughts....But again I wondering why there's so much anger aim at Tiffany?....Could she be onto something? Now, I've read a couple of comments about a gun shot being heard at the end of the song....That's DARK!

Good lawd! I guess the hair talk isn’t going to end anytime soon!...First off, I truly believe it takes confidence and a whole lot of guts for any one to take this hair style outside....Talking about creative! When I first spotted this picture... I were thinking to my self would I rock this look...Now or back in my youthful days?...Most likely not! I am your typical shy person... who doesn't like attention! A style like this is screaming look at me.... But what I will mention is it show you love you and your level of confidence is higher than mine....Also you appreciate what God has given you a great shape head that can pull this look off.... Now that's the kinda of self- love that produces confidence, and alleviates fear...Which is something we can all agree is beneficial for our community....Question would you do this?

I was reading an article were a youngman were advocating for the use of food stamps for the underemployed... And,some of the commenter seems to be making fun of people who needed them...Any way The New York Times covered a NYU journalism graduate student who is receiving food stamps, since he only makes $450 a month through freelance writing jobs...The young man in question made a wonderful and valid point—food stamps exist to help anyone who qualifies for the program, whether a struggling family of four or a grad student, and nobody should feel ashamed to participate in the program. I checked out the website for the Department of Agriculture's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the agency that supplies food stamps. The primary requirement is that the family or individual's income should be 130 percent or less of the federal poverty guidelines, which is why the grad student was eligible...You have to apply for food stamps on a state level, and a handful of states even offer online applications —handy! Question: Do you know anyone on food stamps? Does it surprise you to read about a grad student using the program? Would you apply for food stamps? What's wrong with seeking help if needed?

Do Halloween Have An Alternative?

I would like to say that I don't celebrate Halloween nor do I take part in Celebrating: Harvest Fest, Harvest Party are Fall carnival....Which is nothing but an alternative to Halloween...It's the same thing as Halloween but wrapped up in a different package as to disguise it's meaning.

Of course what it really mean is that you don’t believe in Halloween but want to celebrate it anyway...I hear the word alternative being used but an alternative of kids dressing up and getting candy by having kids dress up and come to your church or to the mall for candy…That's not and “alternative.”Who are we fooling? What kind of message are we sending?

It's plain and simple...If you don’t like Halloween,just don’t celebrate it... We Christian have a legitimate argument that could be made against it....By giving it a new name doesn’t change a thing and the only one we're fooling is ourselves...And what about does “no scary costumes, God honoring costumes and “bible characters only”? I think that's just silly! A costume is a costume....In other words we are telling people they can come to our party, fest or whatever – if they look like a character out of the Bible...I understand the reason why Christian don't have “Halloween” parties in the house of God but if you think Halloween is evil don’t rename it, just skip it... But if you’re going to have a party, be the place to be... Knock it out of the park... Have the most fun, the best candy, the biggest games…make church the place to be on Halloween...Use it as an opportunity, not a stumbling block...As a child growing up, Halloween night was not that bigger deal for us country folks....Now I was raised in a Christian family that never questioned tradition we did what every one else did...But as I got older, I started seeing that a lot of things Christians participated in like Harvest Fest, Harvest Party are Fall carnival don't line up with God word either.

The Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Canton, N.C. will celebrate Halloween this year by burning Bibles...Yep! if it's not the King James Version into the fire it will go...Along with music and books and anything else the man of God says has a satanic influence.

Among the authors whose books the pastor plans to burn are well known ministers like Rick Warren and Billy Graham because he says they have occasionally used Bibles other than the King James Version, which is the sole biblical source he considers infallible.

The church’s Web site , also says members will burn “Satan’s music such as country, rap, rock, pop, heavy metal, western, soft and easy, southern gospel, contemporary Christian, jazz, soul (and) oldies.

They also have a list of popular books they believe to be Satanic an written by heretics like Billy Graham, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, John McArthur, James Dobson, Charles Swindoll, John Piper, Chuck Colson, Tony Evans, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swagart, Mark Driskol, Franklin Graham, Bill Bright, Tim Lahaye, Paula White, T.D. Jakes, Benny Hinn, Joyce Myers, Brian McLaren, Robert Schuller, Mother Teresa, The Pope, Rob Bell, Erwin McManus, Donald Miller, Shane Claiborne, Brennan Manning (and) William Young... I think this is ridiculous... There are other ways to protest if you don't like a particular translation(like don't buy it). I like many of the authors he has listed.

For four-month-old Alex Lange he can't get health insurance ... because he's "too fat." His pre-existing condition? Obesity!...He measures 25 inches long and weighs 17 pounds... His height and weight put him in the 99th percentile, and Rocky Mountain Health Plans has turned him down over his weight..."I could understand if we could control what he's eating... But he's 4 months old.... He's breastfeeding. We can't put him on the Atkins diet or on a treadmill," joked his frustrated father , Bernie Lange, a part-time news anchor at KKCO-TV in Grand Junction... "There is just something absurd about denying an infant."Alex's parents were told insures don't take babies above the 95th percentile, no matter how healthy.

What is it with this resurgence of blackface recently? I'm calling it what it is: racist & disgusting.... Ok I'll play devil's advocate for a second, maybe they didn't mean it to be racist but the history of blackface speaks for itself.... They made black people look like simpletons....The Dutch model posing in these pictures is Lara Stone....The photoshoot is for Vogue Paris.... I thought everyone knew how this is, you know, kind of wrong, and racist... Also, just let me mention how the model has white skin, but they made her up with blackface, and then in a later picture they literally paint her legs white...I'm really just a bit confused.... I wonder how the model felt about doing this...Why not hire a actual attractive Black model (there's plenty to pick from!!).
