The only major tweaking I&amp;#39;ve tried to do is merging Turner and Buckley (2008) with Pol et al. (2009), unfortunately, I have trouble running their data sets in PAUP (with and without modifications), I never seem to be able to recover their topology (I suspect PAUP gets bogged down).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There&amp;#39;s a few key papers I&amp;#39;d like to read (e.g. Pol&amp;#39;s recent one on Dakosaurus) but haven&amp;#39;t had the time. There are definitely some areas that the AMNH matrix is weak in, and that would be within the crown clade. The position of those taxa seems highly affected by what the conditions are throughout the rest of the tree (specifically the topology of basal Neosuchia wrt peirosaurids).</content><link rel="edit" type="application/atom+xml" href="http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4744407490678412102/7335550655614059987/comments/default/3878970753893577419" /><link rel="self" type="application/atom+xml" href="http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4744407490678412102/7335550655614059987/comments/default/3878970753893577419" /><link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://whyihatetheropods.blogspot.com/2009/08/two-cent-history-tour-of-sebecosuchia.html?showComment=1249825466169#c3878970753893577419" title="" /><author><name>Nick Gardner</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/08718847558790015112</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd="http://schemas.google.com/g/2005" name="OpenSocialUserId" value="16722016362350481742" /></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr="http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0" href="http://whyihatetheropods.blogspot.com/2009/08/two-cent-history-tour-of-sebecosuchia.html" ref="tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4744407490678412102.post-7335550655614059987" source="http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4744407490678412102/posts/default/7335550655614059987" type="text/html" /></entry></feed>
