KMPlayer is one of my favorite video players since it has the simple user interface as well as 3D capabilities. It supports almost all media formats. Most of us require subtitles while watching movies in other languages. However most media player support subtitles, I use VLC media player and KMPlayer for watching videos with subtitles. In either case, some subtitles that you've downloaded from internet may not be synchronized with the video file. This makes audio either lagging or leading the subtitle making it no use. to correct this issue we have options in re-syncing the subtitle texts to audio in both VLC and KMPlayer.

Here I'll show you how to sync subtitles in KMPlayer.

You have two options to sync your subtitles. one is to edit the subtitle file or to sync the subtitle using the subtitle resync option. We''ll consider the second one since its much easier to do.

1. Make sure that the subtitle file has the same file name as the video file and put them in the same folder. This is very basic thing.

2. Play the video file. Carefully watch how the subtitle is misaligned with the video sequence if it leads or lags.

3. Now right click on the video and select Subtitles > Subtitle resync > Resync Subtitle

In the small box, enter the time in milliseconds that should be adjusted to play the subtitle in correct sync. Try different values until you get the best one. Click OK. Now you should be getting your subtitles playing in synchronization with the video file.

Run Debug & MASM in Windows 7 , 64Bit (x64)

MASM and debug are great tools for students to assemble 8086 based codes using a windows based system. usually debug can be accessed in a windows computer simply typing 'DEBUG'in command prompt and MASM needs to be installed separately. But the story is different for Windows 7 x64 or 64 bit version. These programs are not available for this windows version. But using a simple technique using a software called DOSBox, you can run these Debugging tools in 64 bit versions of Windows.

DOSBox is a free emulator software may be used to run old windows programs and dos games in higher versions of windows.

To run MASM and DEBUG, you need to follow these steps in your Windows 7 (x64) based PC.

Download DOSBox from here.
Install the software, just use usual installation options. The DOSBOX now allows you to run any 16 bit and 32 bit exe files.
Download 8086 MASM Assembler from here. extract the file and you'll get a folder named 8086. This folder contains MASM.exe, DEBUG.exe and some other files for code compilation.
Copy this folder to C:\ so the path C:\ 8086 will contain these files.

To run Debug or masm, just follw this procedure.

1. Double click on DOSBox.exe. In the DOSBox window, type 'mount c c:\8086'. Now the c drive will mount as a local directory c:\8086. then type C:\ to move from Z:\ . Now type the file or program that you need to run such as masm or debug.

Now you can assemble programs as you do in windows xp in microprocessor lab by using the usual commands.

CyanogenMod 7.2 - Some Noticeable Changes From Stock Android

A few days ago, I've flashed my Samsung galaxy ace GT-5830 and now I'm running the CyanogenMod 7.2.0 - RC0-GalaxyAce-KANG. This CyanogenMod version includes Android version 2.3.7. There are many later versions of CyanogenMod available for Ace(CM 9) which includes android 4 but the fact is that there's no stable version I found which got all the phone functions working. The main reason to flash my device to CyanogenMod is that it slowed down much before while running the stock android version. The RAM usage was on its peak (above 230MB using on running no apps) and even simple phone features took long time to load.

So far after this upgrade, I must say I am very happy about the performance of this software except for the battery draining tendency. The stock ROM was far better than this one in case of battery backup. The main intention was to speed-up my phone which is done perfectly and it works almost perfect without any lag even if I'm using Go Launcher themes and live wallpapers.

Some unnecessary apps including maps are deleted from this version so that we've feed that much of internal memory.
Average RAM usage is 170MB/270MB which is better than older one.
The camera application is really nice. You can set the volume button as a hardware capture button which is very nice.
However the contact application misses the groups feature which you can create groups from your contacts. The messaging app also sucks but I use Go SMS Pro running smooth.
Pre-installed DSP manger and Volume has increased significantly. However distortion occurs when extreme effect is selected.

Swipe Telecommunication, another company from India launched the first 3d tablet in the country. The Swipe Tab X74 3D is a 7 inch screen device with a price tag under 10K. As an introductory offer, the company gives Premium 3D Goggle to customers. The company called the device as "3D life" which is loaded with a lot of multimedia features, definitely a tablet under this price range can give.

The device runs on Android 4.0.3 ICS - Ice Cream Sandwich and powered with a 1.5 GHz Allwinner Boxchip A13 processor which is fast enough to handle all the multimedia and multi-tasking operations on the devices and of course fully supports the ICS interface without much lag. The tablet got 512 MB of RAM and same amount of internal storage which is not very impressive but good. You can insert memory card with capacity upto 32 Gb as external storage.

The capacitive TFT 800X480 pixels touch display is good for watching media content as well as reading text contents while browsing web. Other specifications are:

Samsung Galaxy Beam Projector Smartphone - Rs. 30000

One of the major attractions of mobile world congress held in Barcelona in Feb 2012 was the Samsung's new approach to smartphone - The Galaxy Beam Android projector smartphone. The new member is termed as the first android phone with a projector feature. Now it reached the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 30000/-

Its not a new idea that a device which works simultaneously as a smartphone as well as projector but it happened for first time in a major series phone. The Samsung Galaxy Beam comes with an integrated pico projector which allows you to project the phone display on a wall or desk.

Lets look into some important specifications of the phone. The device runs on Android OS, v2.3.6 and has a 15 lumen Digital Light Projector (DLP). It can project 360p 50 inch large visuals on a screen that is two meters apart. Samsung promises the upgrade to Android 4. ICS.

Beam equips with a 4 inch multi touch capacitive Super AMOLED screen with 8000x480 resolution. The 1 GHz dual core processor and 768 MB RAM gives above average performance among phones in this price range. The device including battery weighs 145gm and has 12.5 mm thickness. The 5 MP camera allows you to take 720p videos and the 1.3 MP front camera ensures full fledged chatting video call. The phone's got 8GB internal storage while ou have an external storage option which can be expanded upto 32GB.

Samsung claims a battery backup of 3 hours when the phone is in projector mode which is enough to watch a whole movie while in the other hand it gives you 20 hours of 2G talk time. Actually the retail pack of galaxy beam contains two batteries and 3 hour projector backup is including this two batteries. in other words one battery gives you 1.5 hour backup while on projector.

CyanogenMod CM7.2 Best For Samsung Galaxy Ace

For about a month I was searching for a decent cyanogen mod custom rom for my Samsung galaxy ace GT-5830. I tried many forums and websites, all suggesting even cyanogenmod 9 with android 4 ice-cream sandwich (ICS) but people complains about it as those were buggy in nature. Finally I found a good make for my Ace which is CM 7.2 KANG-signed ROM release from Xda-developers. I applied the file to my ace and it worked like a charm. No lags or installation problems was there and the process was smooth.

Here's a simple tutorial shows how to upgrade to your Galaxy ace to Android 2.3.7 via cyanogenmod 7.2 rom. Its not required to have root access to do a ROM change but its nice to have root access as most of the android apps works well if your device have root. if you're in official android here's how to root ace.

This method wont work unless you've android version 2.3.* . So if your phone is old and still in froyo, you need to update to android 2.3 first.

Notice: Please backup all your contacts, messages call logs using any of the backup apps from android market. (My method - Use export contacts to a file .vcf and save in sd card, SMS Backup & Restore app for text messages and Call Logs Backup & Restore app for backing up call logs)

Step 1 - Install ClockWorkMod(CWM) on S5830 Samsung Galaxy Ace

CWM is a recovery tool for android phone which should be installed before rom change. It allows to recover the stoch rom.

Download recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip from this link.
Copy the file on to sd card.
Switch off the device.
Reboot by pressing Home+Power button and then release only the power button.
Now you'll have a menu. Scroll using volume buttons and select apply update from sd card. choose the zip CWM zip file. [ center menu button for OK]
After the process completed reboot your phone.

Install CyanogenMod7 CM7 on Galaxy Ace S5830

1. Download cyanogenmod 7.2 zip file (update-23-01-12-cm-7.2.0-RC0-Ga..zip) from here. [95.7 MB]

2. Copy the file to sd card.

3. Switch off the phone completely.

4. Reboot the device into CWM recovery by pressing Home+Power button and then release only the power button.

5. Wipe out all the data by choosing wipe data/factory reset. Scroll and press yes.

6. Similarly wipe the cache partition by selecting wipe cache partition.

7. Now goto Install Zip from sdcard and select the CM 7.2 zip file that you've downloaded.

8. Wait few seconds and that's it. reboot your phone. Have fun.!
