Motivation - Part 1- Linear Aspect Structure

Every planet has a radial orb of influence that interacts with any planet within close proximity. Planets within the same radial orb of influence, but not conjunct, apply their energy to each other through a variety of energy lines called aspects. Conjunctions aside, when aspects in a horoscope do not conjoin three or more planets into an aspect pattern, energy moves in a linear manner from singular point A to singular point B.

The compulsion to do and a deep, impatient drive to move forward, causes a 'Linear Motivated' person to take 'dynamic shifts' in their life direction. Tenacity harnesses self-control to single-minded purpose so their capacity to endure prolonged states of mental, and physical fatigue is astounding. Because they literally block out anything considered insignificant, they don't easily tolerate anyone disrupting their concentration. Nor is it likely that they will handle trivial interruptions with either finesse or grace. Even states of relaxation have the power to make them edgy, as reflexive urges incite these people to muster themselves to action. Perhaps, one could rightly say, 'they willingly toil a day away - but find it hard to stop and play'.

Failure is never an option a linear person considers as they strive, so when they're focused on an undertaking, an irresistible impulse to uncover one more detail or best a task, pulsates deep within and summons them onward, heedless of a need to rest. This is especially true if what they're doing electrifies their mind. While the possibility of health problems owing to mental and physical burnout, is a real and ever present danger, it's not the only issue of which they must become fully aware. Intimate relationships, not to mention children or pets if they have them, will suffer from their inability to put things aside and interact.

A person with linear motivation, gains recovery through alternating states of action. They don't require prolonged states of rest, but do need phases of renewal other than a normal sleep period. Sleep must be more than falling into bed when they've completely emptied their resources and their whole being is screaming rest now or collapse. When their stamina is running low, they need to stop before it gets depleted and put efforts on hold, even if this interrupts a train of thought. They must force themselves to keep energy usage within reasonable limits and learn to enjoy life's other pleasurable pastimes to release built-up stress. Then they must take the time to fully revitalize, so they can vigorously continue to gratify their uncontainable incentive to progress.

The Meaning of Color

Therapists researching the use of color as a healing tool, suggest that certain shades of color can produce a predictable reaction within our psyches. In Huber Astrology we see color as signifying our unconscious impulses and when a color is missing from a chart it indicates a disproportional approach to life.

Red represents dynamic energy in motion. This active energy incites us to participate, preform and accomplish. Red energy is found in the Square and Opposition aspect and if there are none it's hard to get things started or become self-reliant.

Blue represents undynamic energy at rest. This passive energy urges us to maintain the status quo and heed our security needs. Blue energy is found in the Trine and Sextile aspect and without it we find it difficult to relax and enjoy our lives.

Green represents sensitive energy. Although this energy motivates us to learn and search for meaning it can also chafe us into an awareness of karmic issues in need of resolution. Without the Green energy found in Quincunxes and Semi-sextiles we tend to see life through a black and white perspective with little if any shades of gray.

A lack of a color in a profile gets compensated for by an over-abundance of another. For example the odds are good that an all red chart lean towards workacholisim. Red and Blue, works till it collapses and rests until inactivity leads again to frenzied activity and the cycle repeats. If Green is the predominant color there is an endless search for meaning. Answers to questions come but, those answers always seem to beget another set of unanswered questions.

Still, there is a solution because 'Energy always follows Thought'. It doesn't care if we want it or not so when we focus on it, we energize and experience it. The first step is bring the missing color or colors into awareness. To do this add Red, Blue or Green decor to your home and clothe yourself in the missing color(s). Jewelry with brilliant red, blue and green stones such as rubies, sapphires and emeralds, which need not be real can also be worn.

Through an act of willpower you can create dynamic energy by refusing to rely on others to an extreme extent. You can also let yourself go into sensitive energies through 'Transcendental Meditation', a method that teaches you to find your center through relaxation.

Aries Energy - The Indomitable Dandelion.

1st. Zodiac Sign - Fire

Blown by the winds of autumn, a dandelion seed falls on soil anticipating a suburban sidewalk and is bulldozed deep within the ground. Awaiting germination and unaware of the changes above or challenges ahead, the seed lies dormant, as autumn turns to winter and winter warms to spring.

Sensing heat, the seed sprouts and from the taproot that nurtures and holds it firm, it reaches upwards seeking the life sustaining energy of the sun. Things progress nicely until colliding with the concrete colossus above it, the plant is halted on its chosen path. Starting over is not an option, nor is there time to search a way around this obstacle, yet somehow the dandelion must reach the surface or be undone.

Unaware of the size and strength of the barrier overhead, an instinctive urge to live sets the plant to find a way to overcome it. Thin roots inch into gravel and thicken. Pressurized stones break mortar nodules and slowly but surely a pathway forward is created. Finally breaking through to the surface, the dandelion bests a city sidewalk and basks in the light of a morning sun. Lodged now in the crack it forged, it's free at last to become all that nature intended it to be and does.

We all have Aries coloring one or more houses in our birth charts and that area of life is likely to be more stimulated by its coloring. Animated by the Sign, the energy of a planet in Aries is motivated to impact the environment. Much like the dandelion example above, an Aries planet needs to find an outlet to express its energy and for better or worse it always finds a means to achieve this.

My Personal Beliefs & Approach to Astrolgy

It is my personal belief that the full development of our soul is accomplished over numerous lifetimes, which I call life journeys. Although these journeys take on an average of over 80 of our years to complete they are more like a day in the Universal School of Soul. Some lessons are harder to learn than others and sometimes need to be repeated.

Some lessons have Karma from previous lives alongside the lesson being learned and some do not. Others lessons are meant to enhance skills began in other lives that we have made the decision to perfect. And some lessons are at the level of kindergarten as a new way of being has been selected and foundations are now being laid. We each design own course and no two are perfectly identical. We live each life as a fully unique individual and we will never repeat the one we are living now.

Spirit endows corporeal matter with Life and births itself into physical reality and Psychological Astrology is essentially the study of a soul's journey along this current path. Our birth moment can be likened to a seed that contains the potential for how we will unfold. The planetary arrangement at our birth employs the language of symbols to reflect who we are. This arrangement of planets and stars will never be repeated in exactly the same pattern.

Like the genes that determine our body and temperament, our astrological chart is made up of the same basic parts that other people have, but just as the uniqueness of DNA or a fingerprint the arrangement of these parts is uniquely our own. Each planet in our horoscope represents a multi-faceted energy that can express through infinite patterns when combined with energies from house and sign.

Our birth chart enables us to see ourselves from the outside looking in and therefore extend our point of view. It contains the raw materials each of us has been given from which to fashion a life. Each of us have our problems to solve and our special strengths to do this with. There is no such thing as a norm for everyone, however there is a unique pattern that is right for each of us. Enhanced knowledge highlights the energies we were given to work with and enables us to grow in the direction meant for the journey we have chosen.

As an astrologer I consider myself to be a guide, to help others to further their soul's particular goals and light the path meant to lead them to higher levels of meaning, purpose and awareness. My efforts are ever towards a person's greatest good and their least suffering. Human we all be and there are none among us who have not slipped a little as they trod the path to higher consciousness.

Life is never without its struggles, but these conditions strengthen us as we humbly reach for that within us which is divine. My goals are much the same as yours and it's my greatest hope that the text contained on this Blog will shed greater light on your path. If you're just starting out in astrology without enough shekels to buy astrology software and want to be able to cast a horoscope, then I know of just the site for you.

Allen isn't a Huber astrologer but his software can be set to use either Traditional or Huber orbs for aspects. Although I've never met him, he appears to be a kind man promoting the use of Astrology as a tool for spiritual growth and his principles closely mirror Huber precepts. Not only is Allen's software free to anyone it is as good as, if not better than the most expensive astrology software available on today's market. It's easily downloaded and installed and should you run into any bugs in his software a simple e-mail to Allen will solve your problem as he also provides his users with full support.

Beware Fortune-Telling Astrologers

Before I began studying astrology, I didn't know much about it other than what you can read in newspapers on Sun Signs, nor was I particularly interested in learning more about it at the time the following story unfolded. However, I loved mathematical principles and was fascinated by the possibility that numbers could affect the way energy functions, so I gleaned odd bits of data on the science of Numerology.

One day while haunting my favorite metaphysical bookstore and surfing books on numerology, a woman browsing the astrology section asked me....do you do numerology professionally? No I answered, but I do think having a go at it for someone could be fun ....why do you ask? Saying I'm a professional astrologer, she wondered would I be interested in bartering mutual reads? We agreed on this and after deciding with a coin flip that she would read first, we set respective appointments.

Thinking this is going to be a fun experience, I arrived on the appointed day looking forward to my reading. Somewhere I 'd heard to have a horoscope read a person needed to know their birth time and as she had not asked me for it, I pointed out that I didn't know mine. Tossing her long blond hair behind her back she laughed and said I don't need it, I've cast one for your birth date. Psychic shivers ran up and down my spine and although my warning bells had begun to ring, I let this spider lead me to her parlour, arm around my shoulder. Still, I was not prepared for the horror that unfolded over the ensuing hour.

To my questions, this woman adlibbed answers in astro-jargon that made my head spin. I'm not easily impressed and taking note of that fact, she lurched my drifting attention back with ...Your husband will die shortly after his 55th. birthday. In shock, but mesmerized I continued to listen to a string of predictions that would leave a depressed person wanting to jump off the nearest bridge, spew forth from her callous mouth. You phony bitch!! I screamed on my way out as she yelled back...You don't believe me eh! Well just you wait and see! I'm psychic and I'm always right! Tell your friends about me because I could use the business.

She was dead wrong on every count... but....Sadly, she isn't the exception to the rule in this profession. There are many men and women, with or without a quickie 10 lesson course in astrology, who hang out their shingles and profess to be experts in this field.

5 Levels in a Birth Chart
