Starting with AutoCAD 2012, when you start to type a command, AutoCAD auto-completes. If you pause, you see all commands starting with the letters you typed and you can choose the desired command.

You can do minor editing as you type, in case you make a mistake (before pressing Enter):


Home: Moves the cursor to the beginning of the line
End: Moves the cursor to the end of the line

Some coordinates are easy to find. For example, to find the endpoint of a line, you just use the Endpoint object snap.

But others are more elusive.

For example, recently someone asked me, "I would like to ask if there is a simple way to select a center of a rectangle."

My answer was: If you press Shift and right-click, you'll get the OSNAP menu. Choose Mid Between 2 Points, and choose

We are using the trial version of Acad 2011.  If this is  a problem of licencing,  why it appears only when we try the surface modeling module?   We will see…

Suppose you have executed the preliminary design phase of a project. Suppose you have not been awarded the next phase say the execution design phase. Then do the best. Order your CAD manager to do it. Bind all xrefs in one huge drawing. Dont purge anything. Scale anything from meters to milimeters.

And it was an interesting experience. What we know until now is that our partitipation has beenreceived succesfuly by the commitee's FTP server and our BIM model stands between the models of the other participants. It was not a straight through

The management thought it was a participation as usual.
Today we received the competition program.
The main competition deliverable will be the IFC model of the building proposed.
Could any one even suppose this two years ago?
