Drain out excess water until the dal is absolutely becomes dry.
Add jaggery and cook further and then mash into a soft paste.
Add cardamom powder, saffron, and freshly grated nutmeg powder and mix well. Form 20 balls of equal size and put it aside.
Mix refined flour, oil, water and turmeric powder. Make very soft, sticky dough. Knead very well. Use oil to knead. Divide into 20 equal portions.
With greased palms, take one portion of dough and flatten it into a disc of the size of the palm. Place a ball of "chana jaggery" paste in the centre and fold the disc from all sides to cover the paste completely.
On a well-floured board, better over a sheet of clean transparent plastic wrap, gently roll out each poli to a 6 inches disc. This can get tricky as the paste does try to slide out. Use a little flour if that happens. Roll.
Roast each poli on a hot, dry girdle. Do not use oil or ghee. Roast both sides well. Smear with ghee on both sides when done. Serve warm with clarified butter or a bowl of milk.
Indian Food Receipee

Moong Dal Halwa(sweet Dish)

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 124px; height: 78px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiS3p0U3KO6hOzG8r54QN3rpwJ2gpMDJnes8KgIBwif4e-DzBtUmpQ3HUgmXMnnKVZt5acSPG0KU8fd3AvItConG5PMsMIrXTS1e2FCsY9t2k6by5LFjypUileB8Zyj4nO5AoLfkb3xNo/s320/Moong+Halwa.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327111343066296642" />
100 gms Moong Dal
200 gms Ghee
100 gms Sugar
1/2 glass Water
10 pieces Badam
5 pieces Pista
4-5 Currants

Preparation:

Soak moong dal for two hours and then grind it and keep aside. * 2 teaspoons of crushed garlic
* 2 teaspoons of crushed ginger
* ½ teaspoon of ground turmeric
* 1 to 2 teaspoons of chilli powder
* 1 tablespoon of coriander
* 400 grams / 14 oz of skinless, boneless chicken thighs or breasts
* ¼ to ½ cup ground almonds
* 225 gram / 8 oz can of whole peeled tomatoes with juice
* 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
* ½ cup of unsweetened yoghurt

With chicken there is always a risk of food poisoning, so it is important to clean your hands, board and knives before and after working with the raw meat. Trim and cut the chicken into small cubes, cover and put aside. With a clean knife and board slice the onions into thin wedges (lyonnaise). Heat a large saucepan or frying pan and melt 2 to 3 tablespoons of butter until it is frothy. Add the onions and the cinnamon to the pan and fry lightly. When the onions are soft stir in the crushed garlic and ginger. Then add the turmeric, chilli and coriander, and sauté over a medium heat. Add the cubed chicken and sauté stirring constantly until the chicken has turned white. Pour in the ground almonds, tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix thoroughly. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Add the yoghurt and heat through. Serve on rice with a salad and Indian bread if desired.
Indian Food Receipee

Bhindi ki bhaji

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwwJBf3TcD0qU-DHi3GJ0CNkcQtImv9oxIA__MJtjrkWosimYopXXFAdi7vcnDfDbXI0TMXr4VQW9FiAjcXhcQ21h01OP8jtZ3C4TERzCpVV_ftqOicJiXktG7PR3vLPUGvcAia8Rxg2M/s320/bhindi.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5213712792236776258" />
Bhindi bhaji

Ingredients
2 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
½ tsp ground cumin
½ tsp ground coriander
½ tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp ground turmeric
150g/5¼ oz tomatoes, choppedBhindi ki bhaji
450g/16oz Bhindi, cut into 1in/3cm pieces

Method
1.
