Fever

Here are (in random order) some of interesting surfing spot in regards to the surfers, unfortunately I am not a surfer myself so I can not tell you more about the challenge or the beauty of the wave in each spot...

Padang Bai Beach, Padang bai beach known as the beach with Flatt bottomed mixed reef and sandy bottom with some walls.

Padang - Padang Beach, This beach will only works when the big swell of wave is running, it is of an easy paddle out through the channel.

Ketewel Beach, The surfing crowd of Ketewel Beach commonly are local & Japanese surfers including girls and body-boarders. It seems suited well for beginners to intermediates may enjoy the beach but not fot people looking for epic surfing.

Impossibles Beach, located in between Bingin Beach adn Padang - Padang Beach and well known as the least crowded surfing spot and if you are either of those two places you can see what is happening at Impossible beach.

Padang Galak Beach, located in the North of Sanur the surf break is quiet popular here but only works under certain condition and season.

Lebih Beach, the surf break in Lebih beach as the surfers said is affected by direction of the swell.

Sanur Reef Beach, Sanur reef is a sheltered reef break that only works once n a while November - April - during wet season provides optimum time of year for the waves.

Dreamland Beach, One of the famous surfing spot for its waves that can peel perfectly for hundreds of meters over the reef. This surfing spot are reserved for expert surfers only. Swimiing here is advisable only on low tide. Dreamland Beach also a very good spot for those with interest of photographic or taking picture of your lovely one.

Sri Lanka Beach, located on the North of Nusa Dua, a bowly right, whcih breaks into a deep water channel.

Balangan Beach, The reef in this beach is close to the shore and short paddle out. Balangan beach is a very well-known break and can get very crowded in the peak season.

Nusa Dua Beach, To get to this reef you have to drive into the town itself and then weave your way south, there are a couple of other good waves in this area. Doing a bit of exploring is advisable.

Kuta Reef Beach, Is an exposed reef break that is often working well on May to October during dry season.

Green Bali Beach, spotted on the bottom of a cliff, to go down to the spot is a nice and easy but after spending few hours paddling and surfing in this beach the return leg can be hard.

Canggu & Pererenan Beach, those are places that most surfers will know about waves are larger than Kuta Beach, black sandy beach and not much else. Canggu however is becoming better known in tourist and expat residential area.

Nyang - Nyang Beach, Hidden from the crowd of people yet famous surfing spot for the surf lovers to be in a great place away from the crowd. The people, big and huge waves of this place makes this place a little secret paradise for the surfers.

Balian Beach, Balian gets some swell and is a quiet place in North of Bali, as this beach located on the road side makes surfers has easy access to this beach.

Uluwatu Beach, can be considered in 4 different section, Temples which is a long and hollow wave that works on the mid to high tide. The Peak right in front of eatery area (warungs) in line with the cave also best on the high tide. Racetrack is a super fast with a barrel that works on a low tide, but gets seriously shallow. Outside corner is considered by many as the best waves anywhere in the world. The corner won't even start to break unless the swell is at least in the 8' range.

Medewi Beach, Medewi is a perfect fun wave for all surfers, suggested to come early to avoid onshore winds. The swell is generally smaller that Kuta reef, located in the west side of Bali.

Bali Again wins Best Asia Pacific Island Award 2009

Bali has again received an award as the Best Island in Asia Pacific 2009 from Hong Kong - based DestinAsia Magazine. As the news said that Bali won the honor through a vote for DestinAsian Readers choice awards in a survey which sought readers opinions on their favorite destinations, hotels, airlines in the Asia-Pacific region and announced every February.

Voter (s) were asked to nomintae the winner in each category and provide a short explanation on the reasons for their choice. Destin Asia itself is a travel magazine published and marketed in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Taiwan, Australia and several Middle Eastern Countries.

Without being prejudice, as a person live and stay in Bali for the last 10 years, personally I am assuming that this kind of awards by factual must be someway is another propaganda to promote and gain advantage for the magazine itself because is simply that many aspect of 'living' in Bali is not properly captured in the survey.

If you visit Bali for only a couple of days and stay mostly in the hotel or driven to the nice dinner and shopping area then the essential of what happen in Bali lately will be far from your awarenes as you only experience the early chapter of what Bali now.

Further up in the news of 'Antara news on May 14th, 2009' says that Most of the awards were given to Bali for its unique destination and natural beauty found nowhere in the world, not long a go Bali also received an awards as the Best Spa of the Wolrd from Senses Wellness Magazine hmmm.... I wonder who are the owner of those fantastic spa all over Bali? are they real Balinese or just an oppotunist business people who manage to use the Bali and its popularity to boost their business and act like they are salvation-ist of the poor Balinese who (still) doesn't realize that the most 'golden egg' are already token away from this island.

Indeed Bali still has some of the call 'natural beauty' but surely that part are belongs to a private and not everyone can enjoy the beauty unless if you pay expensive admission fees... and agreed or not this island is become more and more 'money oriented' a person are valued by how thick is your wallet, what car you're drive in, in which restaurants you go for a diner, what club you're joining.. hmm all of those materialistic and plastic...

The truth of Bali now are suffering more from the traffic jammed, growth of criminal rate, and environmental problem as well as poverty... so let me ask you something, is those international chain stores, fast food restaurants, spas, hotels, medication institution and plenty of a very exclusive 'international school' nevertheless the neglect of rubbish and in-proper infrastructures development, blocked rivers and gutters helps this island to be awarded with the Best Island in Asia Pacific for it's Unique destination and Natural beauty found nowhere in the world? So i guess the award is questionably, sorry, I think this is an insult, have a good day.

A long season over, a piece of silverware in the bag and the prospect of a long hot summer ahead, life is good! Staff, management and players would like to congratulate you on winning the FA Cup. We see every victory, and for that matter defeat, as a shared experience and without you our loyal supporters, none of this would be significant. While we narrowly missed out again on both Champions League and Premier League glory we hope, like us, you feel proud of the manner in which we approached the final third of the season, despite the fact we don't have the additional silverware that we perhaps deserve.

No one feels the highs and lows quite as intensely as our captain John Terry and he was keen to sign off the season with a special message for you, the fans:

"Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you once again to every single one of you for your support this season. Each of us in the dressing room and behind the scenes fully appreciates the lengths you go to all year round to support the team, whether it be at the Bridge, or at away games around the country and in Europe. I would also like to say a special thank you to Guus Hiddink, who has been just brilliant since he arrived here in February. He came at a difficult time when things looked like they were slipping away from us, so to lead us to an FA Cup Final and within a whisker of the Champions League Final, is a great achievement.

That said, third place in the league isn't good enough for Chelsea anymore. It's our worst finish since Mr Abramovich bought the club and we all know we need to do better. It is fantastic to win the FA Cup but we want more and that's the way it needs to be for us these days. We will all enjoy the time we have off now and come back for pre-season as determined as ever and of course looking forward to achieving great things with the.

This year we are off to America for four games in the summer, and we'll be hoping to see some big crowds against an impressive line-up of opposition. Enjoy your summer and see you next season.

Fenomena Facebook memang luar biasa diberbagai penjuru dunia semua orang pada demam facebook, enggak ketinggalan juga Indonesia yang menurut syahibul hikayat pengguna Internet sudah mencapai lebih dari 25 juta orang (CMIIW).

Setelah sekian waktu dan gelombang pemakai Facebook semakin dahsyat...rupanya mulai mengusik beberapa orang untuk mulai mencari - cari sudut gelap dari media pertemanan ini untuk berbagai aktifitas yang bisa jadi kurang tepat atau negatip, nah rupanya ini yang akan menjadi landasan untuk menelurkan lagi suatu fatwa atau himbauan atau apapun bentukya untuk sekedar menegaskan sikap dari sekelompok golongan bahwa Facebook itu bla..bla..bla...

Saya jadi termangu - mangu, manggut - manggut seolah - olah paham dengan jalan pikiran mereka padahal cuma pingin ketawa sekeras - kerasnya... jadi inget dengan fenomena goyang ngebor, patah2, gergaji dan lain - lain, trus juga jadi terngiang - ngiang lagi dengan undang - undang pornografi dan pornoaksi yang ternyata implikasinya juga mandul alias impoten.

Adalahlah bagus kalau selalu waspada terhadap hal - hal baru yang bisa menimbulkan hal - hal negatip tetapi juga bukan sikap yang baik apabila kita selalu apriori terhadap perkembangan serta dinamika dunia secara global karena kita, Indonesia juga bagian dari dunia yang global.

Saya rasa yang terpenting bukan mengeluarkan fatwa - fatwa tetapi mind-set dari tiap2 individu bahwa banyak sekali hal negatip bisa dilakukan walaupun menggunakan sarana yang positip... dari hand phone bisa juga jadi hal negatip seperti penipuan, hubungan gelap (tanpa lampu maksudna....) sms-an jawaban soal ujian dan lain - lain.. bahkan koruptorpun bisa juga ketahuan melalui HP lho..

Nah kembali lagi ke Facebook sepertinya para tokoh yang mulai akan mengharamkan penggunaan facebook juga menyajikan fakta tentang berapa banyak kemudharatan pemakaian situs facebook dibandingkan dengan gadget yang lain seperti handphone, tapi kalau isunya tentang selingkuh atau pendekatan antara pria dan wanita wah ini sih bisa dimana aja, di taman, di bis kota, di kereta api atau di lapangan olah raga, di terminal disemua tempat kalau isi kepalanya udah minus ya tetep minus... trus tempat eksekusi juga bisa dimana aja kok, di mobil, di taman umum, dikamar - kamar hotel, dikamar kos...wah pokoknya bisa dimana aja... trus mana dulu nih yang harus diharamkan? mungkin Internetlah yang harus diharamkan lebih dulu...atau komputerlah yang haram..atau lebih kebelakang lagi tehnologilah yang haram....atau mungkin sesuatu yang ada dikepala kitalah yang sebenarnya haram ?

Semua hasil karya cipta selalu memunculkan dua sisi yang berbeda...uang diciptakan sebagai alat pembayaran bukan sebagai alat perjudian tetapi pada perkembangannya memang tetap dipakai sebagai alat pembayaran tapi juga pembayaran judi...Tuhan menciptakan ayam bukan sebagai alat untuk adu ayam dan taruhan tetapi pada perkembangannya Ayam dipakai juga untuk alat bertaruh dan berjudi....nah kalau sudah begini mana dulu yang diharamkan.....uang...ayam....atau semua ini hanya akan berakhir (lagi - lagi) sebagai salah satu debat kusir yang tidak akan menghasilkan apa - apa....kosong...

For anyone who never been in this kind of experience they won't have any idea of how fun, exciting and tiring to improve our own home to a certain level we want.

Still fresh in my mind of how I've been through the whole renovation process of my own home, designing of exterior and interior, filling the empty spaces with proper goods and material, also the color of housewares, chosing the right tile, and bath room even up to the carpet we're going to apply on our new home.

I was so dumb for not to think to go online and get the right information from the mega store where everything you need well presented and easy to mitch - match with wide range of products, price comparison and option of color as well as quality... suppose the discussion with my partner will be much easier....

Mereka terdiri dari mahasiswa, karyawan hingga ibu rumah tangga dari berbagai usia. Di Indonesia sendiri diperkirakan sekitar 1,3 juta orang aktif menggunakan facebook setiap harinya.

Telah terbukti bahwa Facebook lebih memikat jika dibandingkan dengan jaringan social yang sudah ada lebih dulu seperti Friendster atau Tweeter yang disebabkan oleh berbagai kelebihan dari situs ini seperti forum diskusi, atau forum penggalangan opini, bertukar kabar, cerita, comment, jokes, photo sharing atau video, yang semuanya itu bis dilakukan dalam tempo sekejap dan real time.

Mark Zuckenberg masih duduk ditingkat dua diuniversitas Harvard ketika membuat Facemash, 23 Oktober 2003, tujuan dia membuat situs ini adalah untuk melupakan seorang gadis yang disukainya dengan dibantu oleh teman satu asramanya Dustin Moskovitz dan Chris Hughes.

Nilai kekayaannya US$ 1,5 milyar, kira – kira sama dengan kekayaan presenter kondang Oprah Winfrey.

Saya kagum dengan prestasi semacam ini sebagai mana saya juga kagum pada net-preneur muda Cameron Johnson yang pernah saya tulis di-blog ini beberapa waktu yang lalu.

Mudah – mudahan tidak dalam jangka waktu lama, akan segera memiliki net-preneur kelas dunia seperti Mark Zuckerberg sipencetus Facebook, karena kita sudah cukup banyak punya ‘tukang janji’ (politisi) tapi sangat kekurangan entrepreneur muda. Semoga.

My personal opinion of news world especially in my country are makes me really stiff bored from the riot and protest of the election result, the continuous complicated tragedy of Nasrudin, Antasari Azhar and Rani Juliani beside all of those Vice President candidates...hhh... SBY Paired with ... still undisclosed... JK paired with Wiranto, Megawati paired with..... I am not sure either... but those people are competing to be the next Indonesia president who (promise) will bring my beloved country to a better level.....knock on wood!!

Another epidemic health problem with Swine Flu also known as Pig Flu or Hog Flu which caused by H1N1 Virus added another worries to the world community and the bird flu (H5N1 virus) hasn't been really over yet. Some information said that Swine Flu virus actually is a mutation of few difference type of viruses here

So for the last couple of weeks I am stay away from the news paper as there is nothing interest me to read, the only great news is on how Many 'Pacman' Pacquiao knocked Ricky 'the hit man' Hatton out on 2nd round, his energy electrify me with the new spirit to never give up and succeed in every goal of life!!

Another disappointment is that Chelsea has to delay their dream to be the Champion of UEFA league as the semifinal bout resulting 1 - 1 against Barca... or is this an indication that the Champion League is not for Chelsea at all ?

The 2009 legislative vote is just pass by a couple days a go and now the ongoing process is continues with counting the votes to determine which party will come out as the ‘winner’ in getting majority voters this day by day activity can be known from daily news on any available media all over Indonesia.

As the counting begin and so there the controversies and as the quick count still going on and so the tension of those party leader goes higher. Ironically it seems that all of those campaign promises already goes up in smoke and forgotten, no more big friendly smile and no more nice faces, no more mass visiting to a dirty alleys, to poor neighborhood, no sympathy to the traditional market or willingness to get muddy shoes from walking over the simple farming area in trying to get voter from the farmers…all is just a matter fake strategy to gain voters as much as they can.

Instead, party leader and their brilliant team become very busy with ‘calculator’ and start designing their balance sheet with profit and loss, this actual conditions of Indonesia party leader obviously shows their capacity and their secret agenda which is not a secret at all, they want to win the power and rule the country they want this country under their preach! I can’t see if they’re really prepare to lift up their sleeves and working hard to build my country, but they will for Indonesia – 1st, a President.

Objections, tendentious statements and cheat accusation are a daily supplement for all of Indonesian citizens but do they ever think that their statements may become the trigger to disintegrate our nations? Is this another (secret) agenda of them to create (again) nation instability?

Why don’t they look back to those beggar on the street, those home less people and kids, those poor people live in a very poor barrack along the rail way or millions of farmers who struggle to survive day by day? Are they sensible and good enough to run our country? Or those people are just a group of people who runs for a short term contract to make profit and then disappear with wealthy-ness?

Cheat? I think this is very mean word to accuse your competitor in any game unless if you can bring solid prove that you never cheat your counter part at all!! Cheat could be the key word if you want to be Super Rich person in Indonesia.

There are millions way if they’re genuinely willing to help our nation without tendency there are enough works for everyone who have heart and swore to build our country and bring it to the higher level of prosperity, please stop those bullshit and political shit, no more promises, we have enough uncertainty, do something good and useful for our people then people will vote and love you because they may be poor but not stupid, they may can’t read but they’re not blind maybe they’re paralyzed but they have heart and knows the different between good and bad, they maybe blind but they can hear!! We need positive actions not just daily statement cursing each other, STOP and be a gentleman to walk away with proud even you’re loose and come back to the competitions next 5 years with dignity, I am tired of waiting in VAIN…. Do you Indonesian? I think so….

Suatu saat dinegri antah berantah sang raja menitahkan untuk menyelenggarakan sebuah pesta untuk bersyukur atas kemakmuran dan kesejahteraan bangsa mereka.... maka dengan serta merta seluruh perangkat kerajaan mulai dari perdana menteri, para hulubalang, para prajurit tak ketinggalan para Pangeran dan Putri calon penerus legitimasi sang raja ikut berbaur memeriahkan serta menyemarakkan pesta yang bakal digelar keseantero negri.

Rapat - rapat untuk persiapan, publikasi, iklan dan sosialisasi mulai dilakukan sejak lama, jauh sebelum hari pelaksanaan pesta tersebut. Mulai pamflet, undangan, baliho dan semua media informasi yang bisa dilihat dan pernah diciptakan oleh manusia dipasang sepajang jalan, dipohon, ditembok - tembok bahkan dilokasi jamban umum supaya semua penduduk negri mengetahui bahwa perhelatan besar akan segera dilakukan.

Suasana seluruh negri segera berubah dan berwarna - warni sangat meriah dan para petugas tidak berkeberatan untk mengeluarkan dana yang luar biasa banyaknya agar semua rencana pesta bisa berlangsung dengan meriah dan menyenangkan semua orang, tak ketinggalan para bintang panggung dan penghibur ikut dilibatkan untuk memperontonkan keelokannya atau sekedar jadi kembang disetiap sudut tempat acara pesta digelar....seru, sungguh suatu meriah...

Para pedagang dan orang yang pintar mencari peluangpun kebagian rejeki pada saat seperti ini , sebab pesta sebesar ini tidak dilakukan setiap hari, jadi mereka memanfaatkan situasi ini semaksimal mungkin.

Setelah semuanya dirasa siap dan seluruh rakyat negri itu sudah gegap gempita ingin menyambut pesta yang dinjanjikan...mereka berduyun - duyun mendatangi setiap tempat dimana mereka sudah mendapatkan undangan dan jatah, dan untuk menghindari kecurangan maka mereka harus mau salah satu jari tangan mereka dilumuri tinta yang menurut hikayat dijamin tidak luntur dalam waktu sekian hari.... semua persiapan yang dilakukan hampir sepanjang tahun, sejumlah besar biaya yang dihamburkan semuanya ludes hanya dalam waktu satu hari saja...kemudian sang penguasa memerintahkan untuk mengakhiri pesta walaupun pada kenyataannya memang pesta ini harus berakhir...

Tetapi ternyata pesta ini tidak hanya meninggalkan kebahagiaan dan kegembiraan tetapi masih ada yang tercecer....rasa tidak puas... sepertinya ada khalayak yang belum klimaks.... maka mulailah golongan ini mencari - cari kesalahan dan pembenaran atas apa yang mereka yakini sebagai kecurangan... terjadilah pertikaian kecil - kecilan sampai besar - besaran, adu argumentasi dan adu bukti, tebar wacana dan banyak lagi yang disisakan dari pesta maha dahsyat ini yang juga menyakitkan hati rakyat... ehhh ada juga kelompok - kelompok manusia yang menggerutu karena merasa tidak mendapatkan undangan... hmmmm jadi runyam !!

Mereka berteriak "Panitia tidak jujur, panitia tidak adil... aku dobohongi...dan lain - lain.." tapi dibagian lain ada rakyat yang senyam - senyum dan berguman 'siapa juga yang nyuruh kamu ikutan pusing sama pesta itu kalau untuk makan besok kamu masih harus susah payah lagi....?"

Pesta dinegri antah berantah itu adalah sebuah pesta yang penuh keniscayaan dan bertabur makanan serta minuman sebagaimana layaknya sebuah pesta.... tetapi yang terjadi dinegriku sendiri yang kebetulan juga baru saja menyelenggarakan pesta super besar adalah sebuah pesta yang katanya untuk menjamin supaya "kelak kita bisa tetap makan....."

hhhh jadi bingung, ini pesta atau.....

Sekarang baru terbukti setelah beberapa waktu yang lalu seluruh bagian dan sudut negri ini diributkan oleh gegap gempita dan gema akan Undang - undang Anti Pornografi dan Pornoaksi, yang sempat menyita waktu, tenaga dan tentunya biaya bagi para wakil rakyat untuk bersidang, bersitegang dan juga anggota masyarakat yang berdemo untuk menentang atau mendukung.....

Sekarang baru terbukti bahwa semua itu ternyata tidak banyak berguna dan tidak berdampak sama sekali untuk merubah 'kegemaran' dari sebagian besar warga bangsa ini.....

Sekarang baru terbukti kalau sebenarnya semua masih juga gak sadar bahwa undang - undang tersebut sudah diketok dan diterapkan, tetapi pada kenyataannya undang - undang anti pornografi dan pornoaksi sudah impoten dari awal.....

Sekarang baru terbukti kalau sebenarnya undang - undang itu sama sekali tidak diperlukan karena ukuran akhlak dan sopan santun itu bukan menggunakan ukuran matematis tetapi menggunakan ukuran nurani.....

Ini buktinya...

Ketika sebagian partai peserta pemilu disibukkan untuk menggelar hajatan meraih simpati dari calon penusuk kertas daftar caleg...

Ketika banyak orang dari berbagai kalangan tua muda, lelaki, perempuan, waria dan sebagian anak - anak dikumpulkan untuk mendengarkan jlentrehan janji - janji semanis madu para calon legislatif dan capres mereka disuguhi pula dengan goyangan erotis dari para penghibur dipanggung - panggung kampanye....

Wah ..wah..wah... ini memang dahsyat! tentunya bukan perkara mudah untuk mendatangkan para pesohor dunia hiburan yang mempunyai ukuran pantat, pinggul dan dada proporsional untuk membuat penontonya berdebar - debar dan membayangkan apa yang mereka bisa lakukan diruang tertutup...

Perlu sesaji berupa setumpuk kemenyan tipis yang sering disebut rupiah sebagai sesaji kepada mereka sebelum mereka bisa menggoyang hati dan pikiran para penontonya dengan goyang patah - patah, gergaji atau ngebor....

Dan persembahan ini dilakukan oleh sebagian besar peserta pemilu yang tentunya partai - partai yang berdana cukup... tidak perduli partai mereka berbasis agama atau nasionalisme atau dasar yang lain, semuanya larut dalam ayunan pinggul dan putaran pantat sang penghibur...

Ironi ? ya iyaaa lah....

Sebagaimana bisa dilihat pada tayangan media, semua orang yang berada disitu ikut bergoyang menghilangkan rasa panas, haus, lapar, sekaligus melupakan 'janji - janji' dari para jurkam yang baru saja teriak - teriak sekeras - kerasnya sampai mulut mereka berbuih dan ludahnya muncrat - muncrat...

hhhh aku gak tahu musti nulis apa lagi, tolong deh dilanjutkan sendiri - sendiri aku juga sudah kebelet joget ....

The above picture is not a three fingers salute we can find in a rock band concert or other concert, but it’s a picture which I took from one of Balinese ceremony so the picture above is not a Rocker symbols…

Bell or also known as ‘Genta’ is an important instruments in Hindu ceremony and the bell is treated very special by the Mangku or Pedanda (monk), each of Mangku or Pedanda or Pendeta has their own bell, and some of them are have a very nice looking and design made from a special metal so the bell will have ability to produce echoing sound to the surrounding ceremony area.

If we are willing to look deeper into it, every time the bell rings are some kind of reminder and a warning to everyone who lived and stay in Bali island to wake up and awakened of what’s going on around us…for those who are not staying in Bali for a longer period they will find Bali is a very nice and unique place but if you stay long enough then you will find the real Bali which could be opposite from what it looks…increasing of poverty, suicide, crime, road / traffic accident (mostly are motorbike), and many more social problems and native frictions beside the global warming (Global Heating is more suitable I suppose!!).

What we can do? (Please note that this is not lecturing any person!) Appreciation and respect to the nature resources, correction of our bad behavior because Mother nature can be mad and angry to…please put down hates, jealousy, envy, greedy and those bad mentality and accept the diversity as we are all human being. In my understanding there are 2 types of person: 1^st: always look at others as a threat and are a thieve only haven’t caught red handed and the 2^nd type of person: always looks to others as a good person until he/she found out that the person are steal something from her/him.

How many times we spend each morning to greet the beauty of nature and to feel that flowers and tree leaves are looks so nice and blue sky also looks pretty…. Do we still have time to appreciate our children effort to present their sweetest smile and warm hug to greet us and doing lot’s of naughty things just to gain a bit of our attention to their existence? Are we really having time to be grateful that we have family who always accept us no matter what we are? we will never feel loved until we loose it, we will never feel appreciated until we are dumped etc…etc…

So every time the bell rings is another reminder to us all to behave…have a great day everyone…

Catatan: Postingan ini dibuat sama sekali tanpa tendensi dan sinisme terhadap agama apapun.

Kita sudah sama - sama mengetahui sejarah bangsa ini yang pernah menjadi koloni beberapa bangsa yang berbeda dan sudah juga dibuktikan betapa bangsa kita sangat menderita lahir dan batin, tidak punya hak atas tanah kita sendiri dan bahkan harga diripun harus tergadaikan selama ratusan tahun.

Saat ini ketika kita sudah memiliki negara yang berdaulat dan merdeka sekian lama serta sudah memasuki era demokrasi dan yang paling mutakhir adalah era reformasi dimana setiap pribadi boleh lebih memiliki kebebasan untuk berpendapat dan menetukan hajat hidupnya, saya ingin menyampaikan kekhawatiran saya yang bisa jadi tidak perlu dan tidak cukup untuk dikhawatirkan.

Begini ceritanya, negara - negara yang tergabung dalam UAE adalah kelompok negara yang sangat bergantung dari hasil perut bumi yaitu minyak bumi dan selama ratusan tahun mereka mendapatkan manfaat yang luar biasa dari kekayaan alam mereka, namun ada satu kelemahan dari yang mereka miliki bahwa kekayaan alam mereka tidak bisa diperbaharui dan pada suatu ketika cadangan minyak mereka akan menipis dan habis. Disisi yang lain tanah mereka tidak cukup subur dan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pangan penduduknya sehingga mereka harus mendatangkan dari negara lain yang tentunya semakin lama harganya juga akan semakin mahal. Dengan dukungan dana yang tidak terbatas maka mereka akan dengan sangat mudah untuk mencari koloni baru atau bisa disebut daerah investasi baru untuk menjamin kelangsungan suplai bahan pangan bagi penduduk mereka, seperti beberapa rekaman berita yang bisa dibaca disini dan disini

Saya yang masih sangat pandir ini kok jadi khawatir apabila investasi semacam ini tersebar dinegriku tercinta ini apakah suatu saat anak cucuku masih juga bisa menikmati beras dan hasil tanah air kami, atau mereka harus membelinya dari para pemilik kebun yang sebenarnya adalah investor asing dan bukan petani anak negri.

Sebagaimana investasi yang melibatkan triliunan dollar akan berlangsung dalam jangka waktu yang sangat lama bisa jadi puluhan tahun dan kalau sudah begini, generasi yang sekarang atau pemberi ijin investasi dan konsesi pasti sudah berkalang tanah sedangkan anak - cucu kita harus menerima konsekuensi dari apa yang kakek dan nenek moyangnya perbuat.

Saya rasa kesadaran untuk berani menolak investasi atau penanaman modal asing yang bakal menyulitkan masa depan negri ini harus dipertimbangkan dengan serius sebab investasi juga tidak memiliki agama dan selalu berorientasi pada pendapatan dan keuntungan.

Kalau tanah kita tidak subur mereka tidak akan pernah melihat kita dan mereka akan mencari tempat - tempat lain yang sesuai untuk kebutuhan mereka.

Sudah selayaknya para pimpinan dan pemegang mandat dinegri ini mulai awas dan lebih cermat dalam menyikapi tawaran - tawaran semanis madu dari berbagai investor asing, sudah banyak bukti yang menjadikan kita hanya sebagai penonton sampai meneteskan air liur melihat bagaimana sejahteranya para investor itu sedangkan bangsa kita masih juga berkubang dalam lumpur kemiskinan, disana di Irian Jaya, Lombok, Kaltim, Bangka, Bintan dan lain - lain...

Apakah suatu saat kita akan melihat ada berjuta - juta hektar sawah yang siap dipanen tetapi bukan milik kita tetapi akan dikemas dan dikapalkan kerumah para investor baik dari Eropa atau UAE.

Semoga saya salah dan negriku tidak lagi menjadi koloni dari bentuk kolonialisme baru yang dikemas sebagai investasi.

Young people from Australia and Indonesia will benefit from a new reciprocal work and holiday visa arrangement between two countries, the Minister fro Immigration and Citizenship, Senator Chris Evans said. The arrangement which was signed in Jakarta by Senator Evans and Andi Mattalatta, the Indonesian Minister for Law and Human Rights, allows university-educated Australian and Indonesian travelers who are aged between 18 1nd 30m to work and holiday in each others country for up to 12 months, as Australian embassy media release said here on Tuesday (3/3). "The work and holiday visa arrangement allows young people from our two countries who want to travel and experience a different lifestyle and culture to work and subsidize their holiday," Senator Evans said.

The work and holiday visa differs from a working visa as it requires applicants to have the support of their government, hold or be studying towards tertiary qualifications and speak functional English or Indonesia respectively. Applicants must also meet health and character requirements and have no dependent children. Work and Holiday visa holders may do temporary or casual work for up to 6 months with any one employer.

Indonesia has become the seventh country to agree to a reciprocal work and holiday visa arrangement with Australia. There will be annual limit of 100 work and holiday visa for both countries but this figure will be reviewed on an as-needs basis.

"Indonesia is a key partner for Australia and this new arrangement is an investment in future relations with Indonesia. It will also help develop links between people in both countries," Senator Evans said. He said that it will provide a further incentive for young people from both nations to deepen their understanding of our histories, cultures and economies.

Thailand was the first South East Asian country to agree to a reciprocal work and holiday visa arrangement with Australia in July 2004. Australia also has reciprocal work and holiday arrangements with Malaysia, Chile, Turkey, Bangladesh and the USA.

Mari mencoba cerdas untuk memahami propaganda dari salah satu partai politik yang berusaha untuk memikat hati pemilih dipemilu yang sebentar lagi akan kita jalani.

Sembako Murah!! Memang sebuah kondisi yang secara luas diharapkan oleh banyak warga bangsa Indonesia dan hampir setiap hari kita bisa melihat fakta bahwa banyak sekali warga masyarakat yang masih kesulitan untuk sekedar bisa makan sehari tiga kali tetapi dibagian lain ada jutaan orang ‘berada’ yang berusaha untuk mengurangi makan dengan alasan diet, kolesterol, diabetes dan lain – lainnya…bukan karena tidak bisa membeli makanan, he he lucu juga ya…

Yang ingin saya bawa kepermukaan adalah, tetang propaganda yang didesain begitu meyakinkan oleh partai politik tertentu tersebut bahwa mereka akan mampu menurunkan harga sembako (tapi tidak disebutkan apapun kondisinya) … perlu dipertanyakan caranya bagaimana ? dan berapa lama waktu yang mereka perlukan untuk menurunkan harga sembako menjadi murah dan satu lagi murah-nya itu menggunakan ukuran siapa atau masyarakat yang mana?

Propaganda ini bisa sangat menjebak calon pemilih, sebab bila kenyataannya nanti harga sembako tidak juga turun mereka dengan sangat mudah menemukan berjuta alasan untuk mementahkan argumen dan ‘komplain’ karena harga sembako masih tetap tidak terjangkau dan masih mahal. Bisa saja mereka akan megatakan kita masih membenahi infra struktur, kita masih menyiapkan lahan pertanian baru, kita masih melakukan riset bibit unggul dan berbagai alasan lainnya, yang kesemuanya memerlukan ‘tempo’ untuk jadi kenyataan bisa jadi 5 tahun, sehingga sejak saat mereka mulai berkuasa nanti mereka tidak perlu pusing untuk benar – benar berusaha menurunkan harga sembako tetapi hanya sekedar mencari alasan pembenar bahwa harga sembako memang tidak bisa murah.

Sekali lagi mari kita mulai untuk peka dan berpikir cerdas berdasarkan pengalaman sebelumnya. Saya bukan ahli ekonomi dan saya juga bukan ‘fortune teller’ yang bisa memberikan prediksi tentang harga sembako dimasa datang, tetapi secara kasat mata apabila ‘suplai lebih kecil daripada permintaan pasar’ maka harga pasti akan membubung tak terkendali.

Dalam hal sembako berlaku kaidah yang sama! Dari hari kehari jumlah manusia yang mengkonsumsi beras dan sembako pasti bertambah banyak sedangkan suplainya semakin lama akan semakin terbatas akibatnya sudah pasti harga sembako pasti cenderung naik dan menjadi mahal.

Partai politik seharusnya bisa lebih dewasa dalam menawarkan programnya kepada calon pemilih, tidak sekedar menyajikan pepesan kosong!! Semisal merubah kalimat dari ‘Sembako Murah’ menjadi ‘Sembako Pasti Terbeli’ jadi walaupun nantinya harga sembako menjadi lipat tiga, masyarakat pasti bisa membelinya karena tingkat kesejahteraan mereka diatas harga sembako! Mereka tidak lagi khawatir tidak bisa beli sembako tapi lebih berpikir untuk produktip dan kreatip untuk berkarya!! Jadi mari kita cermat serta tidak mudah terjebak pada janji – janji yang jelas – jelas tidak bakal bisa direalisasikan. Semoga.

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe, he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fears can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped.

Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'
He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right.. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'

There is an old saying 'What goes around comes around.' Today I sent you this story and I'm asking you to pass it on. Let this light shine.

I think this guy is the only one of Indonesian Celebrity which never being touch by negative publicity and remain genuinely low profile also away from the crowded and plastic world of being public figure.

On a daily basis, we're all loaded with news about celebrity bad and good story, surely do not ask me why is that happen, as I may have to write a very long posting and make you dead bored.

By natural each human being loves to have attention from its surrounding for their beauty and or achievement and sometime they still got it even they do not wanted it.

The topics may be vary from getting married, pregnant, dating, or even colliding artist in a party fighting to get attention from the opposite sex especially the rich one...

But the guy named Marijan and popularly called as Mbah Marijan is just a simple person with humble personality, he just want to keep the Merapi Volcano quiet, safe and sound as its has been mandated to him from the Jogjakarta King, nothing more!!

Eventually he is now become a star of energy drink advertisement and people all over Indonesian know him very well, but he remain humble and not attracted to the crowd of luxury and celebrity life style!

He's one of a kind!!
