Work Tsar

It is scandalous to think that this so called Tsar was employed by the Government to try and put people back into work and found work for some of the unemployed for periods of ONE day and as a result got paid for her work - it shows yet again the abuse that is taking place of us the tax payers money.

Today there has been calls for her suspension and I agree with this wholeheartedly.

Student Finance

I do think Student Finance needs to be reviewed as I know of cases where so-called students take the option to study and get the grant rather than work - work would mean a five day week some students only go to Uni one or two days a week.

If you look at learning to drive - you have to study to drive and take the test and pay for it so in my opinion studying should be a similar thing - one of the problems we as a country is having is that students are studying and then not using the qualifications gained, hence the loans are not being paid back - I know this is not always the fault of the student as they may not be able to find work but .................

It beggars belief that this individual has been released on a curfew - he should as most are calling for be deported out of the country - personally I do not care if it is Jordan or any other country as long as he leaves the UK.

We already have the security of the Olympics hanging over the capital without having undesirables included on the list- it is time that we put Human Rights to one side and look at our security first and foremost not wait until we have more atrocities when it is then to late.

I have no sympathy with Vicky Fowkes - she is old enough to know better - we hear of cases on a regular basis about women that are fleeced but yet still more fall for it - well be it on there own head that's all I can say - she says she is not a gullible person - I beg to differ !!!

Millionaires on Benefits

Why does this story sound about right as far as benefits go - I do not blame the couple as they are just claiming what they are entitled to but a couple of points come to mind - firstly do the couple not have a conscience and see that it is morally wrong - another point would be that an old lady who may need to go into a home would have to sell her property to pay for the home - how is that right when we are handing out benefits to millionaires ?

Family Life on Benefits

Not sure I should have read this as it makes my blood boil - in a previous post I may have stated that some people have to get by on less than £26K and do so without any help from the state.

This individual has seven children - who in there right mind has seven children - but of course the more children you have the more benefits you get, note he did not give his real name - if nothing to hide why not ? and finally if there is no work for his expertise then the logical thing is that you retrain in another area.

West End Theatre Sales

That is good news but surprising nevertheless taking into account the cost of theatre tickets - in December I paid £70.00 a ticket for a West End show - if you then add a meal on top and drinks etc you are talking in excess of £250 for two - not a cheap night out !!!!

Benefits Cap

I agree with the benefits cap that is being proposed - I know several people that are on a take-home income of less than £26,000 who work full time, so how is it right that a claimant who does not work and may not have worked have the right to such high benefit.

I do understand that there is a percentage of claimants who need benefit and they should receive it if genuine - the problem is that we have developed a benefit culture where some see it easier to claim than to work - you will see someone who is on benefit fathering five + children - right or wrong ? WRONG in my book, if you father them then make sure you can support them.

Perhaps those of us that do not have children should get a benefit for not claiming from the state.

HM Prisons

There was a discussion on LBC last night regarding how our prisons differ from overseas - having read a lot about prisons overseas and seen what conditions the prisoners have to live in during there sentence I feel it is justified and the reason our prisons are at bursting point is that we have to many re-offenders - if you had to live in squalor for ten years you would think twice about reoffending.

What is sad is that prisoners are living better than some pensioners who are on a breadline even after having worked all there life and not been involved in crime.

Celebrity Coach Trip

Not a big follower of Coach Trip but having seen the line up on this occasion thought it may be worth watching - wrong. Will start with worst bit first - Nikki Grahame must be one of the most annoying people on television - I now understand why she does not get much work - she is described as a reality star - in that case she should get real, she is like a spilt child - Bonnie Langford springs to mind - I will squeem and squeem until I am sick - mind you that is insulting Bonnie Langford - to say Nikki is vile would be to give her credit.

She is quoted in the paper as saying Paul Burrell is a snob and slime ball - a bit rich - and she took great offense when told about etiquette with regards to applying her make-up in public, she did start applying her make-up but even if she had not been evicted I don't think she would have looked any better at the end of the two weeks.

Paul Burrell has made a reappearance on TV after saying he is enjoying not being in the public eye - surely then you would not take up the offer !

John Major's favourite curry Edwina is good along with her husband, Cannon and Ball are ok along with the guys from Eastenders - we have got rid of the dross so lets see how the shows progresses.
