Hello MARCH 2013

As a new month is ushered in I am much to share with you!

Work has been abundant and fun, February was the month of OSCARS, SAG AWARDS, GRAMMY'S Parties galore, TV pilots and MTV RUSSIA!

Lets begin with the SAG AWARDS I was so thrilled to be booked with Amy Nuttall one of our favorite characters Ethel on Downton Abbey She is one gorgeous and charming woman.

This is my 2nd time working with Downton Abbey cast I was honored to work with Hugh Bonneville who is Lord of the Downton Abbey for Emmy's awards last September! For Amy we decided to give her a elegant Chignon style for her hair based upon her gown she was wearing I set her hair with a 2 inch barrel curling iron using REDKEN hot sets my absolute favorite heat protector. I always start with the hair first so it has a chance to set and hold for the long day ahead for the actress. I then prepped Amy's skin with Bio Elements moisture cream and over I used Two Faced cosmetics Beauty Balm in cream. Amy has amazing clear skin the BB was all I used no foundation. Just RCMA for concealer. Her eyes were a Dior quad in smokey with a Dior coal eyeliner. We used Ardell demi wispy lashes and 3 coats of L'oreal mascara. Her elegant look can be found in People Magazine Sag award winners edition !!

My 2nd Awards show was with Grammy nominated Josh Ramsey He is lead singer for Mariana's Trench and songwriter of "Call me Maybe" with Carly Rae Jepson What a fun morning with Josh and his lady Amanda. I worked on them both and created fun edgy looks for them!

I also worked on a amazing hilarious pilot called "This is why your still single"
The two main characters also wrote this funny edgy comedy Avital Ash and Danielle Rene

Such fun I had creating and collaborating with the actresses for the characters Hair and Makeup to set the tone for the series !

And, OSCARS 2013 My Favorite redhead Challen Cates and I worked together to create this retro and gorgeous hair and makeup style for Seth McFarland's Oscar Party.

Onward into March !
Loving all of the abundance and blessings that have come to me thus far in 2013 and looking forward to a fabulous Spring using all of my favorite products Dior, Two faced, Ardell Lash, Redken, Big sexy hair !!

February 8th

The month of love, the Victorian's created Valentines Day as a day to express our love and gratitude for friends and our true loves. My Mind thinks of red lips, red fingernails and a simple sexy black lined eye. Maybe a little flutter of an eye lash to bat your eyes at your lover this Valentine's Day .

I also think of Downton Abbey and the romance and Mystery in the characters.
This brings me to 2013 Sag Awards I was booked with Amy Nuttall who plays the role if the scandalous maid Ethel on Downton Abbey. The show won the SAG for best cast ensemble.
Amy is beautiful I gave her a chignon hair style with a side swept fringe area, for her makeup the eyes were a soft plum with a black liner smudged into her lash line I did add Ardell demi wispy lash and her cheeks were a soft pink from Inglot cosmetics. For her lip we went with a red/plum stain with DIOR'S lip plump over top.

Next up is Grammy's with Mariana's Trench lead singer Josh Ramsey and his gorgeous girl Erin !

Here we are into January its 2013 and a new year has begun!

I received a lovely gift from Ardell Lash in December just in time for all the Golden Globe parties and editorial shoots that started happening in a mad rush at the beginning of the month.
My favorite Spray wax is being discontinued I bought 7 cans of it Joico Spray wax, Why Joico why?
Found fun new blush colors from Inglot, I love them so buttery and blendable.
I have been working on a ton of TV commercials and recently worked on DVD for TV getting the hosts ready for the filming of their fun critique of "Grown Ups" the show airs on F/X. Look for it !

I am making photo collages so you can see what I have been up to!! Thank you for reading and ck back for more fun!

December has been a fun filled, celebrity filled, Christmas celebrating and eating and 2013 is upon us...wow did that ever go fast!

I always say if you want to be great make mistakes ....
Every day we can stumble and bumble don't take your self so seriously!

I had a action packed DECEMBER ! Worked with Challen Cates creating a new hair cut for her and giving her a more fierce red hair color. A new season of her show "Big time rush" starts filming Jan 7th I will see her again to retouch her color so its fresh for the show! Did a fun and gorgeous editorial with Sarah Hyland from Modern Family for Glamizon Magazine. So lovely Sarah is; and such a fun day!
Shooting and creating for 3 TV commercials ...a costume company and Italian Magazine team! Met so many amazing creative stylists, photographers, makeup artists and hairdressers!
Whirl wind of fun fashion and creativity!

End of a fantastic 2012 1 year fully clocked in of Los Angeles living and beginning of a new year and new beginnings, new clients and meeting new friends 2013.

Beauty's Newest craze! BB CREAMS!

Hi readers and followers

I wanted to talk about the new fad of BB creams..What is it, where did it come from, and why all the hype? BB=Beauty Balm . What is it exactly=All in one moisture and tint plus SPF. Where=Japanese and Korean women have been using BB creams since the early 80's. And we know how beautiful and perfect Asian women's skin can be. The hype=the benefits grow after time and use your skins appearance is smoother in texture.
I am loving the Bb creams and have tried for my self Dior, Smashbox and Garnier Prices range from $8 to $55. The pricier does not mean its better then the lesser price.

I use this in my kit and for myself and find that when I use BB cream I rarely use foundation after. My clients skin texture is smooth and does not require foundation. Its amazing for every day use if your looking for a minimal makeup look. How to apply use your regular moisturizer and in a pea size dot starting at your forehead smooth onto skin. Its very pretty in appearance and the Smashbox BB has a little pearlized finish to give you a subtle glow. This is me with Dior's BB cream, a little bronzer, mascara easy breezy! Hope you find this informative and will give BB cream a try.

Last week I worked with my favorite redhead Challen Cates for Design for a cure Susan G Koman red carpet event. I love using DIOR makeup with Challen and we decided to do a softer eye look for this event. I used DIOR'S 5 color shadows in Rosy Tan its beautiful chocolate brown, ivory pearl shimmer, taupe shimmer and silver taupe shimmer. I mix the colors and applied to Challen's eyelid, blending into her crease I used the ivory pearl in the corner of her eyes and on the brow bone blending the whole eye with a big fluffy blender brush. I then used a white pencil to line the inner eye to brighten, DIOR show mascara and ARDELL individual lashes in the outer corners of her lash line for a butterfly effect. I prepped her skin with BB cream and used DIOR skin forever compact makeup for a matte finish. Her cheeks were also rosy glow blush. And rose butterfly for her lips.

Challen's hair for the event was executed with REDKEN hot sets to protect her hair before I set it with two different sized rod irons 1.5 inch Brazil heat iron and 2.5 inch of the same iron. Curling away from her face and to her face every other curl I then brushed out her hair with my Mason Pierson brush which is a miracle to not destroy curls after you have set them in. I used TIGI design cream to shine her hair and sprayed with big sexy hair soy workable hairspray. we did a soft pin back of the front pieces and created a romantic hair style for the event. I was very happy with the way it looked and Challen was absolutely beautiful on the red carpet.

What a amazing year its been.

Almost one year in!

Last Saturday evening I readied my favorite red head and amazing actress Challen Cates for the Alma Awards Dinner
Its always a pleasure to glam Challen, she is a natural beauty and so incredibly gracious and nice.
I was so excited to use DIORS new shadow trio smokey (blacks and greys) and the BB cream that DIOR has released to the USA after it exploded on the Asian market.

For Challen's look I prepped her skin with Diors BB cream and Bioelements moisturizer.
I used the DIOR skin foundation and the Dior skin pressed powder and Dior skin nude anti- cern concealer. Can you tell yet I AM A DIOR ADDICT??? We decided to do a smokey look for the evening, I chose Diors new trio called "Smokey"...
Blending the shimmering black with the grey over the eye lid and into the crease. The lighter grey I used as a blender shadow up to the brow bone. I then lined with Diors eyecoal pencil in black and Dior show brow styler for Challen's Eyebrows. Her cheeks we gave a flush with Dior blush in Passion fruit, we decided to give her lip a neutral gloss. Challen's own. And of course amazing Ardell demi lashes completed the look
For her Hair, I added MOP texture spray and use my Sam Villa blow dryer with ion power to add shine with a large boar bristle Marilyn brush. I then brushed with the amazing mason Pierson mixed boar brush and parted in the middle, sprayed with Big Sexy Hair SOY light hold spray for a sexy glam evening look.

I wanted to share with you my latest commercial for DOVE. I worked on this about a month ago and it was a wonderful day of inspiration that I wanted to share with you. The concept was to find woman with stories that have changed and affected the world around them and their own lives.
So many wonderful women who have changed their lives and touched the lives of others in a meaningful way. Today the clip I share is with Toni Blackman poet, freestyle artist and leader and teacher to young women.
I had the fortune to do her makeup and had the chance to be touched by her knowledge and power as a woman. I walked away feeling proud to be a woman and asked myself what makes me special. Finally !!! Capitol recording artists Nightmare and the cat "Blackbird Smiles" Music video is released! Hair and Makeup by me. It was a fun long day and by the end of it I knew the song by heart and fell in love with the band!

Its been a fun, action packed June, Its already July 3rd. Where did the time go?
So much has been going on and in the process of working and giving the CLCGLAM touch, I have discovered a few new lovely products I want to share with you...

First product I am falling for is Stila's Brighten and correct concealer pen. Its just magical and does it all for your under eye area; conceals darkness and brightens all in one ! Its just $28 not hard on your makeup budget and its always great to find something that double duties in your makeup bag, Right ladies?

Another product I love, is for your summer hair woes. Too long out in the sun having your tresses feeling dry? Biolage has a new product called Exquisite Oil its pretty amazing. It can be used as a masque over night, add a few drops to your favorite shampoo for magnificent shine, or after a blo-dry for a smoothing serum. It shines shines shines! Who doesn't love Shiny sexy hair?????Retail this product is $18 to $20 and can be found in Biolage support salons or in Ulta stores.

Hi ! What a crazy fun short this weekend Called Sleep Attack I worked as Key H/M.
The crew was amazing we even had Peter Holland as our DP and he is right on and really talented!
My co artist Jen Grable and I created bruises, contusions and scars. It was a long two days of working and boy did I need to sleep !

Here are some images of the actors cut lip and chin, bruised eye, and contusion forehead!
I loved doing this type of makeup and hope more comes my way! Its much different than my Beauty H/Mup! Will blog about NYC when I return to the city of the Angels!

Hello May!Last week an amazing package come to me from Tarte Cosmetics, Thank you for the goodies!
I have been using the pallets on every shoot, such amazing colors super blend able and long lasting.
Its only May 10th and the first week of May was a TV Commercial for Sensa Diet program, 5 days of filming with the days filled with action packed fun! Worked with the talented designer Maria Pinto for her show at Chicago Historical Museum its a curated show of her designs. Joselyn B Lawrence photographed and I rocked Makeup and Charles Lord rocked the Hair. Wow can't wait to see the finished product and share it with you all.
Sunday I worked and produced a shoot with Jared Ryder, Liz Betzen my Absolute MUSE and a project start up for Art Basel in Miami spring 2013. (we are crossing our fingers for Art Basel)
I was in Santa Barbara working, such a beautiful place to be working for two days.
Today I worked with the Beautiful Challen Cates talented Actress from the new Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush. What a pleasant shoot and fantastic day Jeff Katz photographed and captured her personality and Beauty perfectly.
Thus Far; May is jammed, I will be starting filming for a short May 19th, and jet off to New York for work and play May 24th. Looking forward to all the opportunities ! Had my first Thai Massage that was scarey have never had anyone walk on my back. The next day I was sore but felt like a noodle.

Good Morning Its a sunny lovely day in Los Angeles !
I have to share with my followers an amazing website that I am addicted to
Beauty.com. The site now offers skincare from Arcona A huge favorite of mine. The company is LA based and believes that what your skin absorbs goes directly into the body and should be all natural! AMEN to that I have to say I am hesitant to talk about scrubbing your skin but, Ladies and gents we must exfoliate and the best way is with a fruit enzyme versus a scrub with a nut shell crumbled up inside of it. Arcona has amazing fabulous fountains of youth in a bottle! I love the golden grain grommage. Its simple wash your face get all of the residue from the day off and apply your fruit enzyme exfoliant in a thin layer over your face. Leave on for 5 minutes rinse, don't forget to apply your moisture and eye cream. You will look at your face in the mirror and think wow I should go out not go to bed I look so GLAM!

Wow: did we see all the red lips on red carpet last night, Lovely, pretty and springy!

I worked for Joseph Cedar and his lovely wife. His film was nominated for Best Foreign
language feature. We decided to do a glamorous red lip. Spring is all about a bright lip and a subtle eye The color I love and used was DIOR's Hynotic Red #862 it is the most perfect blue red lipstick.

I incorporated the Springy trend and did a very soft grey palette by DIOR for her eyes, the palette I used is Cannage Whisper Grey 002. The look was amazing and she looked beautiful. I am still looking for images but, it seems she lets her amazing husband shine in his achievements. Beside every great man is a great woman!

It was a fun weekend filled with Oscar Glam!
All DIOR can be found at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue stores!

Wow what a fantastic 4 months! Yesterday marked 4 months of Los Angeles Living!
Have had amazing opportunity and worked with some pretty cool people!
Groomed David Cronenberg for his new film "A Dangerous Method" Groomed Ryan Kwanten from True Blood for a fun beach shoot in Venice. Groomed amazing nominated actor Brenden Gleeson for the Golden Globes. Did a super amazing music video for the band "Nightmare & the cat" for the tune Black Bird. As soon as it drops I will upload that for you! Tomorrow working with Director Joseph Cedar for his press junket for "Footnote" His film nominated for an Oscar for best foreign language film. And giving him the CLCGlam touch for the Oscars on Feb. 26th!! Such a fun last 4 months, looking forward to what March will bring! Golden Globes!

Hi Beauty Always followers !
As promised I have a photo of My work with Brenden Gleeson at the Golden Globes.

I arrived at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills and was greeted by a very gregarious Mr. Gleeson incredible man, down to earth and. super nice!

I gave him a hair cut and then basic grooming of his beard and just a simple moisturizer. His wife was amazing as well Mary. She had a horrible experience at the salon (not mentioning names) I took her hair down it was very old fashioned looking and redid it to a chic side chignon with very soft fringe and no curls at all very Bridgette Bardot! I also redid her makeup and gave her a smokey eye with Christian Dior palette in the pale greens. Her gown was a chic long green tone. She and Brenden Looked smashing! What a amazing experience and Award season is just kicking off! More to come ...

Wow what a crazy beginning to January!

So many amazing opportunities have come my way.

Spain has come to Los Angeles! What a fun crew, everyone is from Spain except me!! We are shooting for Corte de Anglish a Spain based high end department store and Navadades a fashion magazine based in Madrid! Sunday break and,

Today Iam working the Golden Globes! How cool and what an amazing accomplishment for me to have for my career! Nominated Actor Brendon Gleeson and his beautiful wife Mary. Watch the Red Carpet tonight to see my work on these two amazing people!

I celebrated my 3rd month in Los Angeles while working in Chicago. January 11th marks 3 months as a Angelino!

I believe when you put good into the universe it comes back to you in unbelievable abundance!

A new Year is upon us, Welcome 2012

As we come to a close on 2011, I have much to reflect upon. A move to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams happened in October of 2011. Leaving Chicago was a hard decision but, I knew I had to go in order to advance my career and create. As successful as I was in the east it was time to embark on to a new adventure~ I have been creatively charged and happy to be with a new agency AIM Artists.
Can't wait to see what the universe will hold for me in 2012, I have laid a good path for abundance to bless me this year and, with so many new friendships and energy I am ready to take it full steam ahead!

Yesterday I met a wonderful and beautiful woman Noreen Conlon Hinds. My wonderful Friend Megan Murphy's Mum. I had the honor to create a new glamorous Hair cut and style for Noreen. She arrived at Megan's home looking so chic in her magenta colored blouse, turquoise and red beads around her neck a floral scarf in silk and a faux fur mink vest, and deep blue jeans. Noreen was a fashion model in her youth and is still radiating beauty and grace at 80 years old. I decided to give her a chic shoulder length bob cut with graduated layers around her face and a longer layered fringe area (bangs to the american's)
I also colored her hair a soft blonde with baliage of blonde around her face and into her fringe. The end result Noreen was over the moon! She loved her new Haircut and color!

This image that I posted is Noreen not from yesterday but just so you can all see how beautiful a 80 year old woman is!

Arrived from LA last night late. A week in LA and had great meetings and saw how amazing LA can be!
Planning a move out at the end of the month and super excited to start a new life and complete lifestyle change! So many beautiful places in LA, Venice Beach Abbott Kinney street is so cool. No chain restaurants or shopping there just all Cali local shops and amazing beautiful food!! I love it and will be living in Echo Park and Silver Lake area! All of these looks are beautiful and you can choose which suits you My favorite looks and shown below. I also love the new Navy blue nail look! So hot! From matte to extreme gloss! I love eyeliners, Think Sophia Loren, Bridgette Bardot. Sexy subtle!

Lets be glamorous and explore eyeliners! When lining your eyes you can use pencils, cream liners, or a liquid eye liner. Depending on the look your wanting to achieve.These products are my favorites and I use them on myself and in my kit when working. Milani has a amazing eyeliner pencil, its the softest pencil that glides on the eye with ease. I love this pencil in Metallic Brown its gives a very sexy look with out having to pull on your delicate eye tissue to put it on. And it doesn't smudge all over your eye after wearing it. I also love the MAC creme liners in the paint pot, you need a soft liner brush for this, I love and use SMASHBOX cosmetics brush #20 its the double ended smudger brush. With the MAC liner you can achieve a more dramatic eye look. Liquid Liners are amazing as well L'oreal has a great liner pen that glides on you can be lite with it and have a subtle look or glide it on for a dramatic look.
