Google has just launched "Google Play", Google Play is a re-branding of Google various stores under the name Google Play, since all of the content could already be found in the same integrated store already. Starting today, Android Market, Google Music and the Google eBookstore will become part of Google Play.

The services themselves do not seem to be changing at all, it is really more of a destination change to make it easier for users to find the Google media stores rather than having to go through other products. This means that your old bookmarks for the Android Market Web store will automatically be routed to the new Google Play address, although the Market itself still looks the same with sections for Apps, Music, Books, and Video. Similarly, theGoogle Music website has been pulled under the Play subdomain. The changes should be rolling out to Android 2.2+ devices "over the coming days".

As part of the re-branding, Google is also offering a new album, book, video, and Android app at a special price for each of the next 7 days. Although, the Google Music and Books stores have already been pretty rife with sales, so you may not really notice any difference.

Android Market now allows Apps size Up to 4GB, Large Games will be hosted on the Market

Before, Google limited the Android Market applications (.apk) size to 50MB, and developers have had to make smaller apks and the user will download the expansion files after installing the APK, Well Google changed this today by increasing the Market App size Up to 4GB. The new maximum application size of 4GB does not necessarily mean the size of the APK will be increased... but rather the Android Market will host the application expansion files. This will help the Google keep a closer eye on when a user completely finishes the download of a large application to properly start the refund period.

Most of us have experienced a long in-game download like Gameloft Asphalt 6, and then realized the refund period has already passed. In the Android Market, these expansion files are added to the 50MB size of your application so users know how much space the app will really take from his Phone Memory after full Installation.

After Apple introduced Siri personal assistance for iOS, Google had to fight back by improving its voice command software to take a New shape and higher intelligent integrations. A report from TechCrunch showing that this product may have codenamed as "Majel" and to be officially named "Google Assistant" when released.

Google Assistant is now in the hands of the Android team. Reports showed Google goals of this product, There is three goals Google will accomplish on this product :

Gather all information and make it understandable by computers.

Create a personalization layer.

Build a mobile, voice-powered productivity engine, which is focused less on finding information and more on getting things done.

"Asus is very close to Google, so once they have Android 5.0 I think there will be a high possibility that we will be the first wave to offer the Jelly Bean update." Asus VP, Benson Lin.

Well, Asus VP told the truth: Asus is really close to Google, and it will likely be in the first wave to offer the Jelly Bean update, just like Asus was the first to offer the Ice Cream Sandwich update after it was released.

But The Question is... Why Asus able to make this statement truthfully without any info available about Android 5.0 JB yet? Well, That's Because of two important things:

1- Asus does not put a heavy skin on Android, and

2- Asus does not lock its tablets to a carrier. This means that there is little work to be done to get Android working on Asus devices, and no carrier approval to wait on, which are the two biggest roadblocks to Android updates.

Nokia revealed that the Nokia 808 PureView runs Nokia Belle OS Feature Pack 1, which brings a number of improvements. Also, they have some good news and some bad news for owners of current Belle devices too, depending on what device you have.

The good news is that if you have Nokia 701, 700 or 603, then you will be getting the feature pack soon. The bad news is that other devices are not invited to the party.

The Belle Feature Pack 1 update also brings a new, faster, HTML5-capable web browser, the Microsoft Apps and the latest version of Nokia Maps. Like the word processor module, you need to use the Menu button quite a bit to use the module. You cannot create a new PowerPoint document with the software, but you can use it to open up and view edit PowerPoint files, to some extent. I ordered an HDMI cable and look forward to trying it out to see if I can control slideshows through the cable. You can view presentations in portrait or landscape, view the slideshow that advanced by itself, and scroll through slides.

I like the way Quickoffice has quick toggles between page view and reading view. Reading view reflows the text in your PDF document so you can read it with just vertical scrolling rather than full page vertical and horizontal scrolling. It even keeps data in tables quite well in reading view and zooms in to a very readable level. You can jump to pages quickly, conduct fast searches that will highlight search terms in green, zoom in and out, and rotate the document. It is quite a good PDF viewer.

Windows 8 has undergone more than 100,000 code changes since the Developer Preview was released and will feel much more "refined," Sinofsky said. He called Windows 8 a "generational change" in how Microsoft designed the product, as well as in its function and implementation.
