Colonial Williamsburg

Busch Gardens... maybe more than once :)

Jamestown

But mostly... just spending time with family that we love and miss!

Happy Easter 2014

2014-04-20T18:52:00.000-06:00

It was fun spending Easter with Grandma, Grandpa, Bryan, Tami, Chase, and Easton in VA.

Fun day at the races in Charlotte

2014-04-12T18:01:00.000-06:00

We couldn't let Grandma and Grandpa come to visit without going to some races :)

Third Grade Play

2014-03-27T17:51:00.000-06:00

I couldn't be more proud of Brendan, my third grade class, and all of the third graders at NES that did a wonderful job in their play "Go Fish"!

Spring Pictures at the SWAMP??

2014-03-23T16:58:00.000-06:00

We decided to go to the swamp because we were told it had beautiful bridges for Cam's baptism pictures. Well, we weren't sold on the location, but we enjoyed the day and took some pictures anyway :) We had a lot of fun going on a boat tour through the swamp and saw lots of gators, turtles, and other fun stuff! This is the swamp where they filmed a lot of movies like "The Swamp Thing", "The Patriot", "North and South",... It was pretty cool.

Here are some baptism pictures of Cam (we might try to find a different location).

We also took some Spring pictures of all three kids because they are so cute :)

Weekend in Charleston

2014-03-23T16:37:00.000-06:00

We had another fun weekend in Charleston. We went down for Brendan's state gymnastic meet, but found some time to play and enjoy the beauty of Charleston.

Brendan got a gold in high bar, a silver in rings, a silver in pommel horse, and a bronze (third place) in all around in the men's state gymnastics meet this weekend! Way to go buddy.. third in the state is GREAT for your first year!!

Kitchen Re-Do :)

2013-12-28T10:22:00.000-07:00

Here is what our kitchen looked like before... (this was actually taken when we were walking through the house for the first time before we bought it).

Old School :/

And this is what it looks like now... (New floors, re-finished the cabinets, painted, updated the entercom system...)

I LOVE my new kitchen :)

Yes, that new little white box on the wall is the new entercom system... much better :) Merry Christmas to me!!

Christmas 2013

2013-12-26T09:51:00.000-07:00

Getting ready for Christmas :)

2013-12-21T21:26:00.000-07:00

Cameron did a great job at his Christmas concert... he is quite the singer and dancer :)

Brendan did a great job at his Christmas gymnastics showcase (he was even tough when he got trampled by a bunch of older girls during the show)

I had to dress up each day for 2 weeks at school! There was a different theme each day. Here is a picture when I had to be a Who from Whoville.

We also got to go and see the origami tree that Daelyn helped make at school. It was displayed at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. We were able to walk around and see all of the Christmas lights after as well :)

I may have even gotten a kiss under the mistletoe :)

Christmas Card Pictures

2013-12-15T10:04:00.000-07:00

We may have had a little too much fun snapping some pictures for this year's Christmas card :)

Getting all the giggles/tickles out.

Where did Sammy go?? He jumped through the heart...

Being Silly!!

Ok, so some did turn out nice :)

And here is our actual Christmas card for this year. Merry Christmas!!!

Charleston

2013-12-08T21:06:00.000-07:00

We had to go to Charleston for the weekend for one of Brendan's gymnastics meets. So we were able to take a carriage ride, do some shopping, eat some fresh seafood, see some sites, and enjoy some 74 degree weather :)

Brendan the gymnast

2013-12-07T20:44:00.000-07:00

Brendan made it on to a USA gymnastics level 4 team. He has been extremely busy with gymnastics this year, putting in a lot of hours each week at the gym and it is paying off. He is doing an awesome job. Here are some pictures from his first few competitions.

Don't worry, competitions aren't all stress and no fun... he still squeezes in some video game time ;)
Way to go buddy, we are SO proud of your hard work!

Daelyn's 11th birthday slumber party!

2013-11-16T20:26:00.000-07:00

Daelyn begged us for a slumber party for her 11th birthday.... so we gave in. Let's just say it was a lot of fun, a lot of crazy, and a lot of NOISE!! However, Daelyn had a great time, and she deserved it. We love you Daelyn! Happy 11th birthday!

There may have been some crazy dancing... with tails.

Faces may have been smashed in cake.

I will have to post Daelyn's video that they made of the Harlem Shake :)

Playing in the leaves :)

2013-11-16T19:52:00.000-07:00

This picture was by far my favorite of the day. Cameron was digging in the leaves with his hands like a dog. However, when we saw this picture it didn't look like he was digging. It is now our family joke that Cameron is our "Redneck leaf blower" (just don't stand downwind ;)

Daelyn the tennis player

2013-11-02T20:09:00.000-06:00

Daelyn has been playing tennis and loves every minute of it. Hopefully next year she will be ready to compete :) Way to go Daelyn, we love watching you play tennis!

Halloween 2013

2013-10-31T22:00:00.000-06:00

Cameron was a zombie pirate.

Brendan was the Grim Reaper.

Daelyn was a pretty peacock.

Time to go Trick-or- Treating... Oh ya, and Josh was Santa Clause and passed out candy canes :)

Carving Pumpkins

2013-10-24T19:21:00.000-06:00

Cam the Football Player

2013-10-15T19:10:00.000-06:00

Cam had a lot of fun playing his first year of football for the Raiders. He just made the cut-off date to play this year (it was the end of May and his birthday is May 12th) so he was one of the youngest/smallest kids on his team... I know that is hard to believe :). It was sweet, all of the boys wear pink socks during the month of October for breast cancer awareness.
I LOVED watching Cam play football and I can't wait for next year!!

Bryce Canyon

2013-09-08T18:28:00.000-06:00

Time for Family Pictures

2013-09-08T07:45:00.002-06:00

I can't wait to see how the actual pictures turned out...
But we had fun taking them and trying to get ALL of the cousins together and cooperating at the same time :)

I love my cute kids, I couldn't help but snap a few pictures with my phone while we were waiting for everyone to show up...

Who invited THAT guy?!? ;)

Thanks Becca and Shane!!

Seven Peaks with the Wilson Family

2013-09-08T07:16:00.001-06:00

We had a blast at Seven Peaks with the Wilson Family :)

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's House

2013-08-11T17:38:00.000-06:00

Grandpa was teaching us the important skills in life... the rules of Black Jack ;)

Playing with cousins in the little pool and having water fights is always fun!

Playing at McDonalds and eating strawberry pies :)

We had lots of fun going to the Baseball game :)

There may have been lots of food and treats involved.

And the fireworks were GREAT!!! Happy 24th of July :)

And thanks Aunt Jacque for letting us come swim at your place :)

Lagoon

2013-08-11T15:41:00.000-06:00

We loved going to Lagoon with the Nelson cousins! It was lots of FUN!!!

Cute Sydney is getting SO big!!

Beautiful Butterflies :)

I was SO proud of my kids, they went on all the roller coasters with me... even WICKED :) Hopefully it isn't too long before we get to go back again.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

2013-04-26T13:58:00.000-06:00

Day 6: Disney's Animal Kingdom

We went on an African safari and saw lots of animals (lions, elephants, zebras, gazels...)

Brendan was teaching everyone some cool beats on the drums (now he REALLY wants some drums)

The Tree of Life was my favorite part of the park. It has tons of animals carved into the tree :)

AAAAAAAAAHHHHH, we are going to get soaked... well, Daelyn did anyway :)

Time to conquer Mount Everest and meet the YETI !!!

Dino Land

Bugs Life Movie

This was Daelyn's FAVORITE part. She got to pet and snuggle lambs, goats, pigs... She was upset when we made her leave, she wanted to stay there FOREVER!!!

Day 7: Drive back home :( :( :(

Thanks Daddy for a FUN vacation and all the great memories!!!

Friendly's

2013-04-25T13:31:00.000-06:00

Day 5: Day Of Rest (very much needed)
We stayed at the condo and played at the pools, beaches, game room, arcade (mostly all the pictures that I posted about the condo).... oh and went to Friendly's for dinner and ice cream :)

Friendly's is one of the kids' favorite restaurants, so anytime we go somewhere that has a Freindly's we have to go there (I think the kids just love that they get to build their own huge volcano sundaes any way they want).
