Additions to the game include new locations around the world from cold Antarctica to warm Bora Bora as well as new ships (including official licensed Greenpeace vessels) and new dynamic and more realistic weather and water systems. Most vessels from Ship Simulator 2008 are also part of the choice of ships. The cruise ship "Ocean Star" from Ship Simulator 2006/2008 is also included, except outside colors have changed and the name changed to "Orient Star". Vessels have more usable controls and more realistic ones, unlike Ship Simulator 2008 in which only the whistle, binoculars, thrust, rudder and thrusters (if applicable on the vessel) are usable, although you can listen to the ship's radio but not send out calls. Sinking dynamics and physics have also improved in Ship Simulator Extremes. Also unlike Ship Simulator 2008, you can launch lifeboats/motorboats off a vessel with them equipped. Following a campaign by members of their growing fanbase, VSTEP agreed to include the ports of Dover and Calais (in one environment).

The year is 2035. Almost 20 years ago the citizens of The Republic had to search for a shelter from the hell of the Third World War. Yet, only few were fortunate enough to have a place waiting for them in the prepared shelters. With the passage of time the fear of death on the surface has bcome only an unpleasant memory, however, the seemingly safe hideout has turned out to be a curse which cannot be escaped. It was only a matter of time before somebody would snap, and thus the dream of safety becomes a nightmare prison.

The protagonist of Afterfall: InSanity is a member of medical team which takes care of the mental and physical well-being of citizens living in the shelter. He specializes in the mental disorder caused by being locked-up for too long, yet he himself is not free of its symptoms. When all hell begins to break loose Albert has to find the answers to many questions, the where and the why, who is a real enemy and who a trusted friend. He will have to face the dangers lurking in the darkness of the shelter and in Albert’s own mind, battling with his own weaknesses and fears.

InSanity as a survival horror genre provides a healthy dose of fear and adrenaline to any lover of this particular game setting. Deep in the underground, trapped in the claustrophobic space with no hope for escape, the shadows hide secrets more dark and terrifying than the madness that takes over residents of the shelter.

Albert will have to square off against countless riddles, monsters and difficult to make decisions. He has been given a challenging task. He will have to show superb reflexes, the ability of logical thinking and deduction, not to mention nerves of steel.

Harry reveals to Ron and Hermione that the Elder Wand answers to Harry as Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore, the wands previous owner, and Harry disarmed Malfoy.

FIFA 2012 (titled FIFA Soccer 12 in North America) is the nineteenth game in Electronic Arts' FIFA series of association football video games.
It is being developed by EA Canada, and will be published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA Sports label.
David Rutter, the line producer for FIFA 12, promised "a revolutionary year for FIFA ... especially in the gameplay department."

An "Ultimate Edition" of the game will be available through Game and Gamestation stores.
It includes 4 monthly Ultimate Team gold packs, with each pack containing 12 items including players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, footballs, kits and badges.
Each pack contains one rare item, such as enhanced player attributes, longer contracts and the most coveted players.
On 22 June 2011, EA Sports announced that the Microsoft Windows version of FIFA 12 will have the same engine, features, and competitions as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.

Along with several other new EA Sports titles, FIFA 12 will be available three days early to purchasers of the EA Sports Season Ticket.
The release date of the FIFA 12 demo was announced at the Gamescom event in Germany on 16 August; the demo will be available from Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store and EA's Origin Store for Microsoft Windows on 13 September 2011,though the Playstation 3 demo will not be available in Europe until the following day.

FIFA 12 sports several new features and improvements over its predecessors.
For the first time in several years the game's presentation and front end has been radically redesigned with the familiar vertical menus being replaced by a side-scrolling menu bar system.

Gameplay

A "trinity" of major gameplay changes have been implemented in FIFA 12; these are the Impact Engine, Tactical Defending, and Precision Dribbling.
In development for several years,the Impact Engine improves collision variety, accuracy, and momentum preservation. A new advanced procedural animation system is used along with collision physics to produce different results depending on the players and physical forces involved.
This affects all players, so even those off the ball may have collisions.
The Impact Engine has been cited as a game changer, making FIFA 12 less structured and synthetic than its predecessors,and has been described by producer David Rutter as the biggest technological change to the series since the transition to the current generation of consoles.
The Impact Engine also directly affects injuries sustained by players during a match.
The new Tactical Defending system aims to change the approach to defending by placing equal importance on positioning, intercepting passes and tackling.
When defending there will be more of an emphasis on slowing attackers down and containing them, and pressuring them into making mistakes.
The defensive "press" button, which would cause an AI player to automatically home in on the player in possession of the ball, has been removed from FIFA 12 in favour of a more manual form of defending, requiring greater timing and precision.
The Precision Dribbling feature allows players to dribble whilst shielding, meaning you can still move around the pitch whilst holding players off, rather than being rooted to the spot.
Close control has been added below jogging as a way of allowing players to take smaller, more frequent touches, keeping the ball closer and keeping tighter control.
Players will now be much more aware of their surroundings. As an example, players in possession near the touchline will understand their position, and keep tighter control of the ball to stop it running out of play.
An improved artificial intelligence system named Pro Player Intelligence aims to make AI-controlled players react to the skills and capabilities of other players with appropriate actions. For example, a winger will be more likely to cross the ball into the box when he has a waiting team-mate with aerial ability, whereas he might look for support and play the ball along the ground if that team-mate is less of an aerial threat.
Players will also make better use of their own strengths, so for example a creative player might look for less obvious opportunities such as playing long accurate passes, where another player in his situation would be more likely to play it safe with a short pass.
Match presentation has also been overhauled with a new default camera angle and improvements to the broadcast-style match build-up.
Some in-game cutscenes have been removed, such as those before throw-ins and corner kicks. Instead, a player will simply run to perform the task in question with no interruption.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 (abbreviated to PES 2012 or PES12 and known officially as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2012 in Asia) is the eleventh edition in the Pro Evolution Soccer series developed and published by Konami with production assistance from the Blue Sky Team. Lionel Messi, who has been the cover star for the series since PES 2009, will be replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo, while Shinji Kagawa replaces Messi as the cover star for the Japanese version.

Like previous versions of the game, it will be exclusively licensed by UEFA to contain the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup competitions along with a license from CONMEBOL to feature the Copa Santander Libertadores. Referees' governing UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup matches will wear the official UEFA Champions League uniforms, which is a first for the series.

On July 28, 2011, Konami confirmed that PES 2012 will be released for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on October 14, 2011 in Europe and October 6, 2011 in Japan. At Gamescom 2011 it was announced that the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 versions will follow on October 28, 2011 and the Nintendo Wii on November 4, 2011. The publisher has also confirmed that versions for Nintendo 3DS and iOS formats are also in development, with firm dates to follow.

There will be two demos, both of which will be available for the PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and PC. PES 2012 game play

PES 2012's gameplay is primarily a refinement of PES 2011, with fewer big changes than the previous iteration but many smaller improvements and changes in areas such as artificial intelligence, speed, animation, and physics.

Among the new features is the Teammate Control system, where a secondary player may be controlled, either during play, or at a set piece or throw-in. This allows players to be placed precisely, make runs, and shake off markers before calling for the ball. Manual and assisted versions of the feature are available for varying degrees of difficulty and control.

Refereeing has been improved and includes a full implementation of the advantage rule, with the referee pulling back play for bookings after the ball goes out of play. The "catch-up bug", where defenders would catch dribbling attackers too easily, regardless of the attacker's pace, will be addressed. Gameplay is more fluid, with better response when controlling the ball, and goalkeepers have been improved with new animations and generally more reliable goalkeeping performances.

Artificial intelligence has been improved over previous PES games, for example AI players will play more thoughtfully when defending rather than simply applying pressure, and AI teammates will make more intelligent movement decisions.

New Features

The hub in this game is Port Royal. From here, players advance through the game, unlock characters and extras, and as players get further through the game, The Port will evolve and get bigger, revealing new areas to unlock and discover new things.
Like past titles, different characters have different abilities.
For example, Captain Jack Sparrow has the ability to use his compass, which points him to whatever his heart desires, (this in the game being the next part of the level).
Will Turner has the ability to throw axes at targets to complete objectives, while Elizabeth Swann, along with the other female characters, has the ability to jump higher than other characters, and get to areas unreachable to other characters. Another feature is the ability to swim. Normal human characters have an oxygen bar, and as this runs out, it determines how long they can stay underwater for before they die.
However, certain characters such as Davy Jones and his crew do not have an oxygen bar when underwater, meaning they can stay underwater for as long as they like without dying.
The 3DS version uses the StreetPass feature to activate sword fights.

The Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video game has received positive reviews.
GameSpot gave 6.5/10 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii, while 6.0/10 for PSP, 3DS, and DS. IGN gave 7.5/10 for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS, while 8.0/10 for 3DS. BioShock Infinite Plot

The events of the BioShock Infinite game take place in 1912. The player assumes the identity of Booker DeWitt, a 37 year old disgraced former agent of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, who was dismissed for behavior beyond the acceptable bounds of the Agency.

He is hired by mysterious individuals, aware of Columbia's location, and tasked to infiltrate the air-city and rescue a young woman named Elizabeth, who has been held aboard the air-city for the last twelve years.

Though DeWitt finds Elizabeth easily enough, he quickly discovers that Elizabeth is central to the civil war raging in the city as each faction seeks to use Elizabeth to turn the tide of the conflict in their favor, forcing DeWitt and Elizabeth to trust each other in order to escape.

Elizabeth also seeks to understand the powers that she has been given, believing Comstock to be responsible, and refuses to leave Columbia until she learns the truth.

To complicate matters, the pair is chased by Songbird, a large, robotic bird-like creature who had been Elizabeth's friend and warden over the last twelve years of her imprisonment.

Songbird was designed by its creator to feel betrayal should Elizabeth escape, comparable to an "abusive husband", according to Hilary Goldstein of IGN, and Elizabeth notes she "would rather be killed than be recaptured by Songbird."

In addition to the internal strife, Columbia is ravaged by tears in the fabric of space-time.

A strange shimmering effect as seen by DeWitt causes momentary changes to pictures, banners, and people, representing the nearby presence of a tear.

The tears have brought seemingly anachronistic elements into the Columbia of 1912; for example, an early gameplay demo footage features a record player in a bar plays a woman singing the lyrics to Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".

1UP.com's preview of the 2011 E3 game demonstration denotes that at one point, DeWitt and Elizabeth find themselves in 1983, evident by a movie marquee showing Revenge of the Jedi (the original working name for Return of the Jedi), a result of a misfire of Elizabeth's powers involving tears in the fabric of space-time when she tries to help revive a horse.

Though the game takes place before the events of the previous two BioShock games (occurring in 1960 and 1968, respectively), Irrational Games has not confirmed if BioShock Infinite shares the same universe with these titles; Ken Levine left the question of the possibility unanswered in an interview stemming from the game's announcement.

BioShock Infinite Story and setting

Irrational had been working in secrecy on BioShock Infinite for two and a half years since completing the original BioShock;2K Games gave them the freedom to develop their sequel at will.

For the first six months of BioShock Infinite development, the team prototyped several possible ideas to brainstorm on what concepts would be effective for the next game.

The idea of the air-city came early in the development.

The open-air environment gave them an opportunity to use color schemes that sharply contrasted with the darker palettes that were a staple of their earlier games.

Even then, their initial designs of the flying city were darker and closer to Art Noveau, making the BioShock Infinite game world too claustrophobic and appearing similar to the city of Rapture.

The period of American exceptionalism allowed them to create a brighter, expansive system.

According to Irrational's Ken Levine, the name "Columbia", in reference to the female figure that personifies the United States, and the idea of American exceptionalism did not come about until six to eight months before the game's reveal.

The idea came to Levine after watching a documentary about the late 19th century, which quickly caught on with the rest of the team.

In particular, Levine pointed to one quote of U.S. President William McKinley on the eve of the Philippine–American War, which spoke to the need of America to "uplift and civilize and Christianize" the natives of the Philippines.

Though the accuracy of the quote is disputed, Irrational's lead artist Shawn Robinson noted that BioShock Infinite's goal is "not to teach any history", but felt such historical aspects helped to ground the work's fiction.

Levine stated that in the same manner that BioShock was not built specifically around objectivism, BioShock Infinite is not built around jingoism, but only uses the concepts to help set the stage to tell the story of individuals caught up in the conflicts.

Levine considered how the founding documents of the United States can be interpreted in several ways, leading to conflict between those that hold various interpretations of those ideals, leading to Infinite's different factions.

Figureheads of the powers-that-be like Saltonstall are based on both historical and present-day nationalistic personalities, seeking to put the needs of America before others; The Vox Populi were based on historical factions that often splintered into small, independent groups that undertook violent actions, such as the Red Army Faction from the 1970s and the Animal Liberation Front and Earth Liberation Front of present day.

Unrestricted skirmish play against the computer and multiplayer via LAN or online is also available.

Plot

The central premise of all three campaigns is the same, although each follows a different variation of the storyline. Facing defeat at the hands of the Allies (presumably after the end of Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge), Soviet General Nikolai Krukov and Colonel Anatoly Cherdenko use a time machine beneath the Kremlin to travel back to Brussels in the year 1927 at the International Physics Conference and eliminate Albert Einstein. This prevents him from creating the technology that allowed the Allies to defeat the Soviet Union in the previous games. Returning to the present, General Krukov discovers that Cherdenko is the Premier of the Soviet Union and that the Soviets are on the brink of conquering Europe. However in this alternate timeline a new faction, the Empire of the Rising Sun, has risen in Japan who declare war on the Soviets and Allies desiring complete world domination. The world is then plunged into a three-way war between the Soviet Union, the Allies and the Empire.

Soviets

In the Soviet campaign, Cherdenko first sends the newly appointed Soviet commander to expel the Japanese forces from Soviet territory in Leningrad and various Soviet territories, subsequently invading Japan and killing Emperor Yoshiro before continuing the attack against the Allies. The Soviet invasion force lands on Mt. Fuji, although nearly all of it is destroyed. Only a conscript and a bear can kill the Emperor. They manage to get through Japanese defenses and kill the Emperor. However, it turns out to be a decoy and the Japanese reveal a huge base further north, and three Japanese commanders appear, intent on destroying the Soviet forces there. As the Emperor's palace is destroyed an armoured trooper appears and it turns out to be Yoshiro. As he advances on the players base, the ally finishes off the Japanese bases. Soon Yoshiro is dead. The Allies at Geneva and Mykonos research facilities are crushed. Faking an attempt on his life as an excuse to remove his enemies, Cherdenko has the player kill General Krukov at the Von Eisling Airbase. Dr. Zelinsky, the scientist who created the time machine, informs the player that the events that occurred happened only because the Soviets tried to alter the past, and that Cherdenko was originally not the Soviet Premier. Cherdenko tries and fails to kill the player after this, feeling that the player knowing that information is too dangerous. Cherdenko is presumed dead after the player destroys his volcano-fortress after destroying Field Marshal Bingham at Easter Islands. After dealing with Cherdenko, the player follows with an attack on New York in order to force the Allies to surrender. The war ends with the player becoming the next Premier of the Soviet Union, which encompasses the entire world as there is no one left to stop Soviet expansionism.

Allies

The Allied campaign sees Field Marshal Bingham first ordering the player to secure European Allied borders. The player repels the Soviet invasion at Brighton Beach, then recaptures Cannes and destroys the Soviet HQ at Heidelberg. However, these battles leave both sides vulnerable, allowing the Empire of the Rising Sun to send its floating fortresses to blockade the Allies and the Soviets. This prompts the Allies and Soviets to join forces to counter the Empire (despite the protests of American President Ackerman).

The player-led coalition is able to retake the port of Gibraltar. The coalition then mounts an attack on the fortress in the North Atlantic and successfully disables it. At this time, Ackerman becomes angry at Marshall Bingham for his allying with the Soviets, instead of destroying them. He then takes the initiative to destroy Moscow with a laser superweapon controlled in Mount Rushmore. Bingham sends the player to disable the weapon and its defenses, destroy the firebase and kill Ackerman.

With the alliance secured, the Allies plan an attack on Tokyo in order to wipe out the entire Empire military leadership with one stroke. It is a critical battle because the Japanese High Command is about to order the destruction of several Western cities. Around this time, the Soviets led by General Krukov were supposed to bring the "entire might" of the Soviet navy to assist the Allied forces. After many delays, however, the Soviets noted that with their fleet so far away and with them experiencing "personel troubles," they decided not to participate and would leave the player alone to deal with the Empire's forces.

After the battle, Dr. Zelinsky defects to the Allies, informing them of the Soviet Premier having traveled back in time to alter the present, the complications due to the use of the time machine, and warns them of a Soviet invasion force building up in Cuba, proving that Ackerman was right in his belief and that the Soviets have betrayed them. After destroying the invasion force in Cuba, the Allies launch Operation Chronostorm and teleport their forces to destroy Premier Cherdenko's fortress in Leningrad in order to stop Cherdenko from fleeing to outer space. In the end, Cherdenko and his General are placed in a Cryo-prison for life due to crimes against humanity. Meanwhile, Lt. Eva and Tanya both ask the Commander out to a date. The Vice President of the United States, played by David Hasselhoff, then accepts power as the new American President in a public speech.

Empire of the Rising Sun

The Empire of the Rising Sun campaign begins with a full-scale invasion of the Soviet Union, just as the Soviets are pushing the Allies to the brink of defeat. The invasion starts with a disguised transport slipped into a coastal Soviet city of Vorkuta celebrating New Year. When the ruse is discovered, the city is ordered to be sacked. Emperor Yoshiro's tactics initially involve striking at symbolic targets such as important monuments to affect the will and morale of the Soviets—and later, the capturing of broadcasting stations in the United States for use in broadcasting propaganda against the Allies. On the other hand, the Emperor's less-traditional son, Crown Prince Tatsu, advocates the attacking of true military targets—though his father would typically overrule him and instead fight elsewhere. Crown Prince Tatsu is a robotic hedonist, and immerses himself in all things technological in his efforts of modernising the army.

As the Empire of the Rising Sun surges into Allied and Soviet territory the Allies make a desperate pact and try to garner enough forces to counterattack. The Emperor believes he has crushed all hope of freedom for the Allies. The Empire's forces take over much of western Russia and brutally massacre anyone who resists. A Soviet General in the city of Odessa refuses to surrender, and as a result the city is destroyed by a three legged prototype robot named the Shogun Executioner. Landmarks such as a cathedral, an opera hall, and a hospital are targets for destruction. However, the Emperor's complacency soon forces the Empire onto the defensive against the forces of the Allies, who still had enough strength to mount full-scale attacks on Pearl Harbor at the Imperial islands of Hawaii and on one of the Empire's Floating Fortresses. Though both attacks are repelled, a joint Allied-Soviet task force successfully gains a foothold in Tokyo.

Having replaced President Ackerman with an android doppelganger, the Emperor learns of Zelinsky's defection and how he helped Cherdenko alter history through time-travel. This devastates the Emperor, as there can be no Divine Destiny if history can be altered. He surrenders command of the Shogunate (the Empire's military leaders) to his son, destroying the android Ackerman in the process. Under Prince Tatsu's command, the Allied-Soviet invasion of Tokyo is repelled, and a full-scale attack on the Kremlin results in the deaths of Premier Cherdenko and General Krukov—despite a last minute attempt to airlift the time machine to safety after the Kremlin's destruction. This ends the battle against the Soviets with the Soviet Union (and their allies) surrendering to the Empire. The Empire's continued success allows Yoshiro to overcome his guilt and opens him to Tatsu's idea that the Empire can create its own destiny.

In the final mission, the player is ordered to launch an attack against the remaining Allied forces in Amsterdam as they make their last stand defending the Allied Headquarters as well as the FutureTech Headquarters—the company responsible for much of the Allies' technological advances. Fierce house to house fighting results in destroying all of the city and millions of deaths. Despite the Allies being outnumbered at least four hundred to one, most of the Japanese invasion force is annihilated. Despite Dr. Zelinsky's arrival with Soviet reinforcements and the deployment of a prototype FutureTech ultraweapon that annihilates everything in the city, the Empire succeeds in defeating the Allies and destroying FutureTech and what remains of the Soviets—leaving the Empire of the Rising Sun free to rule the world. The commander is given the title of "Supreme Shogun". The commander's briefer, Intelligence Officer Suki Toyama, invites the commander to a private spot on the north shore of Oahu for some time off, heavily implying that she has romantic feelings for him.

A Demo of the Football Manager 2011 game was released on Steam in association with Mirrorfootball.co.uk on 21 October, which as usual is half of a season of game play, which can be continued within the full purchased version when it is released.

On the 11 August 2010, Sports Interactive published a YouTube video announcing a number of new features that will be included in Football Manager 2011.

This video announced the following features To be Included In The new version of the Football Manager 2011 :

    * Agents roles have been enhanced; there will be five types of agents that negotiate contracts. Some will give you a blank page for negotiations, while others will ask for too much and others will be more sensible.
    * There will be around a dozen new contact clauses, including a bonus for players making it into the Team of the Year and a minimum fee release clause if a big club comes in.
    * Negotiations with a player have been made "face to face" in order to increase the realism of the game.
    * Training has been enhanced; there will be fourteen extra areas to train players in, and a new match preparation section allows you to train players in specific formations.
    * Interaction with players and other managers has been improved, including making it possible to have private conversations with players.
    * There are new board requests as part of this improved interaction, including requesting higher percentage of transfer revenue and requesting a new stadium if the current stadium can't be expanded.
    * The news section and inbox have been merged back together with a new look, and there are more options for subscriptions.
    * The match engine has been improved to include player emotion, meaning players will react more visibly to what is happening on the pitch.
    * The much-requested "dynamic league reputation" has been included, meaning that if game-players take on a club in a less fancied nation, and take that club to glory, the reputation of that nation's league will raise.

A number of features as well as the design of the box had previously been leaked on the 23 July 2010,before any official announcements were made by Sports Interactive and SEGA.Sports Interactive Studio Director Miles Jacobson confirmed that some of the leaked information is accurate and some isn't .Moreover, SEGA asked to remove any content regarding FM 2011 from some of the fansites

    * Newgen revamp – Newly generated players, or newgens as we call them, are now created using a new system that looks at player templates for different styles of player, as well as taking national traits into account, to ensure that the types of player in the game are constant throughout the life of your own saved game.
    * B-Team & Amateur revamp – Due to lots of feedback from our community, particularly from Spanish and Danish users, regarding the way that B teams and amateur work in the game compared to real life, we’ve had a revamp on the way they work to make them more accurate than ever before, including the chance to set up your own clubs B team at the start of the season in appropriate leagues.

Civilization 5 Game Cities

As in previous versions, cities remain the central pillar of Civilization gameplay.
A Civilization 5 Game city can be founded on a desired location by a settler unit, and the city will grow in population, produce units and buildings, and generate research and wealth.
The city will also develop culturally and expand its borders one tile at a time, which is critical in claiming territory and resources.
The expansion process is automated and directed towards the city's needs, but it can be accelerated with gold.
Civilization 5 Game Cities can spread up to three tiles outwards, instead of two.

City warfare has been revamped.
Whereas cities in previous versions of Civ relied entirely on garrisoned units for defense, cities in Civ 5 now defend themselves, and can attack invading units.
Cities have hitpoints that, if taken down to zero will signal the city's defeat to invading forces.
Civilization 5 Game Hitpoints can be increased by garrisoning a unit in the city or building defensive structures.
Captured cities can be annexed, razed, or transformed into puppet states, each option having distinct advantages and disadvantages; for example, puppet states will provide resources and have lower unhappiness, but can not be directly controlled.

In the Civilization 5 Game, tactical gameplay will be encouraged over numbers, with the introduction of new gameplay mechanisms.
Most significantly, the square grid of the world map has been removed in favor of a hexagonal grid, a feature inspired by the 1994 game Panzer General, according to lead Civilization 5 Game designer Jon Shafer.
In addition, each hexagonal tile, including city tiles, can accommodate only one military unit at a time, forcing armies to spread out over large areas instead of piling onto a single tile.
This has the effect of moving most large battles outside of the cities, and forces increased realism on sieges, which are now most effective when surrounding the city tile.
Also, increased movement points, simpler transportation over water, ranged attacks, and swapping of adjacent units allows for more versatile maneuvering of units.

Units take longer to produce than in previous civilization games , making them more valuable.
As they defeat enemy units, units may be either promoted for bonuses or forgo their promotion to be completely healed.
Another departure from previous civilization games is that units are no longer always destroyed if defeated in combat.

Many improvements have been made to FIFA 11 Career Mode, one being that when signing new players, the user will have to agree to a transfer fee with the club, as well as other personal demands from the player; the club could also agree a fee with two teams for a player.
The board of a club can decide to give the manager a contract extension or not; this will depend on certain objectives being met, or if they feel that the user have potential as a manager.
The manager reputation rating is still in the game and will go up or down depending on your efforts.

This gives some flexibility if the FIFA 11 user is trying to buy specific players but doesn't have the wages to cover it, or doesn't need the wages and wants more free cash.
There is a limit, however; when doing this, the user will get the notification that this is only available three times, so the player must make their decisions wisely.[9]

    * Street Football (Wii): FIFA 11 Players can now play five vs. five street football, as well as the traditional 11 vs. 11. Each street player has a distinctive style of play with unique abilities to match, and for the first time, play indoors, with many additional customizable features.

You will be able to choose capacity (between 1,000-100,000), seat colours, edit the adboards and hoardings, edit the turf style (similar to PES 2008), edit the nets (loose or tight, shape and colour), edit the architecture and roofing to a certain extent including tunnel placement and choose whether there is a running track, plain ground, or grass around the pitch.
You can also choose to bring the stands closer to the pitch and choose to have a cage similar to certain stadia present in Germany and other parts of the world.
Once all that has been put together - you can now choose the setting for your stadium.
You are given the option to specify a background layout, with a variety of both urban and rural backdrops.
After that, you can also add a background image, with stock items including city scenes - and a mountain range that looks similar to the one seen in the background on the PES 3 intro.
With this tool it should be possible to recreate many different stadiums from all over the world with lots of variation in style.
There are currently around 25 stadiums in PES 2011 (not all licensed ones).
This is 3 more than PES 2010 which had 22.
There will be a total of 25 slots to create stadiums giving you a grand total of around 50 possible stadiums.
    * Speed of Play: The new level of control means that PES 2011 enjoys a more considered pace of play, which varies dependent on situations.
PES 2011 game will burst into life as counter-attacks come into play, but players can dictate the pace via slow build up or exploiting available space to surge forward.
It is harder to make long runs from midfield, and successful play will depend on making quick passes to make room.
    * Aesthetics: PES 2010 showcased the best likenesses in a football game, and PES 2011 ups the ante further.
Facial animation has been enhanced, but the key advances are over 1000 all-new animations which have been recreated from the ground up using over 100 hours of motion captured footage.
Every aspect of player movement has been reworked, with more organic runs, turns, throw-ins, tackles, and interaction.
The way players speed up and slow down is also more natural, while replays display elements of motion blur that bring your saved goals to vivid life.
    * Tactical and Strategy: The sheer number of options available in the PES series has established it as a remarkably flexible simulation, allowing players to stamp their playing style on each match.
The PES Productions team has implemented an all new ‘Drag and Drop’ mechanism that can be used in every aspect of team management, not just substitutions or formation changes.
These settings are also animated to promote better understanding of the plays that have been altered.
    * Feint settings: PES has always offered a wide range of subtle skills, feints and turns, but PES 2011 allows users to map their favourite move sequences to the right stick, making them more accessible than ever before.

Shortly before the release of the first game in the Dirt series, Colin McRae: Dirt, Colin McRae: Dirt 2 was described by Matthew Horsman, chief game designer for the game, as a game more improved and refined than its predecessor.
The Dirt 2 game was later announced officially on 19 November 2008. The engine, EGO, initially featured in Race Driver: Grid, was updated to better take advantage of the PlayStation's SPUs, as well as improving multi-core processor utilization on the Xbox 360 and PC.
The Flashback ability, allowing players to rewind time mid-race, a new feature in Grid, was kept and improved due to its popularity.

Colin McRae: Dirt 2 features five racing disciplines, all of which are playable offline (against AI bots when applicable) and online.
In addition, three 'special modes' are included.
Colin McRae: Dirt 2 runs on an updated version of the EGO engine, which powered Codemasters' Race Driver: Grid as well.
The engine features, most notably, an updated physics engine, which models realistic weight transfer during turning maneuvers, allowing the player to incorporate advanced driving techniques, such as the Scandinavian flick.

Rally racing occurs on non-circuit roads which usually involve public (closed) routes and technically challenging courses.
Usually involving staggered starts, each driver competes against the clock.
In addition, during rally events, a co-driver is present, constantly reading pacenotes to guide the driver along narrow and meandering tracks of up to 6 km in length.

Rallycross races involve cars identical to those used in rally events; the races themselves, however, are completely opposite.
Each rally-cross race involves up to eight racers competing in multiple lap events on circuit tracks of mixed surface type.
The tracks, half tarmac and half dirt, exist in closed settings, such as in or around stadiums, and are approximately 1 to 1.5 km in length.

The most similar real-world equivalent of Trailblazer events are hill climbs.
Unlike hill climb events, however, trailblazer races do not require a positive change in elevation.
Similar to rallying, trailblazing features staggered starts.
Trailblazer (and hill climb) cars, unlike rally cars, usually feature massive aerodynamic aids, such as spoilers, diffusers, and splitters to help keep traction at higher speeds, regardless of track surface or conditions.

Raid races are multi-car events involving heavyweight vehicles, such as buggies and trophy trucks.
Each race begins with a simultaneous start of up to eight competitors, with tracks averaging 5 km in length.

Landrush events are similar to raid races, but take place on a circuit.
Each event features eight racers on a dirt track of about 1 km, and involve multiple laps.

Special Modes

In addition to the five straight game types, there are three special variants, each applicable to multiple modes.

Gatecrasher, which uses Rally courses and cars, involves smashing yellow barriers; competitors race against the clock.
When smashed, the 'gates,' strategically placed along the best racing line, add time to the clock; whichever racer finishes the event with the most time on the clock wins.
The format of the race is more similar to a multi-competitor time trial than to a traditional rally race.

Domination, playable Rallycross and Land Rush stages, involves multiple drivers competing to set the lowest time in any given track sector.
Points are awarded based on the final number of controlled sectors, as well as the final race position.

Last Man Standing is an elimination-style race, during which the driver in last place is eliminated in a 20-second interval.

Mount&Blade is an action oriented role-playing game with emphasis on mounted combat. Unlike most other titles of the genre, the game contains no fantasy elements. It does not restrict the player to a certain storyline, but instead presents a sandbox medieval realm named Calradia, in which the player is given the ability to either join one of the five available battling factions, assume the role of an outlaw, or take a neutral side.

Reception on Mount&Blade has been overall positive. Reviewers praised the game for its innovative combat mechanics, complex character skill system, and large modding community,[5][6][7][8][9] but also criticized it for its repetitive quests, dialogues, and locations, as well as low graphics quality.

Mount&Blade makes use of derived statistics, meaning that attributes dictate the maximum level of a skill derived from that attribute.
For example "leadership" skill, which indicates the number of members a party can hold, cannot be raised higher than one third of its base attribute, "charisma".
Weapon proficiencies can also be improved over time by inflicting damage on other opponents.

There are four main areas where battles take place: on the open map when two or more hostile parties meet, in tournaments organized in arenas in towns, in siege combat where the player is either defending or attacking a fortification, or in settlements after a triggering event (village is infested by bandits, guards catch you sneaking in, or ambush is launched upon you).
The number of soldiers each party can hold is limited by the "leadership" skill and the renown of the leader.
Participants in a battle can be either mounted or on foot.
The Mount&Blade player has to indicate the direction in which he wants to swing by moving the mouse accordingly.
Aiming with a ranged weapon is also done by using the mouse.

Damage is dealt depending on multiple factors.
Aside from each weapon's quality, its effectiveness is also influenced by the character's skill with that type of weapon.
The speed at which the character is swinging relative to the opponent also influences this value.
For example, a javelin thrown while running, or thrown while riding a horse at full gallop will be potentially more damaging than a javelin thrown while standing still.
Further, weapons have certain ranges where they are minimally and maximally effective.
A spear, for instance, will do minimal damage when used on an enemy very close to the player, while a hammer might do maximal damage at that same short range.
This gives all the different weapon types a unique feel on the battlefield.
