So it's officially been over two years since I posted last (absolutely ridiculous Georgina).

That's a lot of time, and trust me- A LOT has changed.

From finishing high school, to re-arranging my entire social calendar, it's safe to say I've had enough stress, laughter and chocolate to last me a life time.

While that's all well and good I think it's about time to take a step back and re-visit the old me- a makeup crazed teen (who was ridiculously mis-informed) simply wanting to get her opinions out into the world.

But now, after almost 3 years of endless makeup videos, I think i'm ready to say something useful.

However it's time to change things up!

Rather than simple reviews and hauls- I want to give you all a leg up so-to-speak. Let's call it a sneaky "in" that'll save you the 3 years of youtube learning, countless blog watching and makeup counter "ooo[ing]" and "aaaah[ing]", and put you right on the path to becoming a ridiculously informed makeup maniac.

On top of that I'll give you plenty of sneak peaks into my other interests (and yes, this may include something of the social genre)!

So, get ready for some great new posts and keep those comments flowing!

WOHOO! That's right, I finally got my hands on a couple of (what I think are the most gorgeous things on earth) MAC paint pots!
I know, I know - TOOK YOU A WHILE GEORGIE. But hey, I'm new at this, so let's all give Georgie a break yeah? hehe.

Cost: $35each (AUS pricing)

And of course before I start my review, It's time for another famous Georgie Backstory (I should copyright that). Once upon a time.... Haha just kidding. Ok -
It took me a seriously long time to get my head around spending a whopping $35 each on these paint pots, but I had been wanting them forever, and I had a bit of birthday money left over- so I thought, hey this can just be like a birthday present to myself.

I initially went into the store looking to just purchase the one colour Rubenesque (reccommended to me by Ingrid from missglamorazzi whom I am an avid follower of and basically hang off her every word - check out her youtube channel here: ps. it opens in a new window)

but, whilst I was doing a swatch of it on my hand (and testers on my bestfriend Emily- which by the way thank you so much for putting up with me all day long!) I tried out a couple of other ones as well, and the Bare Study definitely caught my eye. It's a gorgeous peachy, champagne couloured pink that is super pigmented and shimmery- so how could you not like it!

So to sum up my story, I basically only bought the one pot of Rubenesque, feeling a bit guilty already for even considering spending so much money on one paint pot, let alone two - and I left the store (sadness I know). But, as we were shopping I couldn't stop thinking about the other paint pot, so I put aside my guilty money spending feelings and just went ahead and purchased it: and yes it was incredibly embarrasing going back into the store with the sameeeeee woman in there and purchasing more, but hey sometimes we have to put these feelings aside and just keep doing what we love, right?!

ACTUAL REVIEW: Sorry I was rambling.
Both these paint pots in my eyes are worth every cent you spend on them: they last forever, you get a generous amount of them, they make both great eyeshadows/eyeshadow bases and the colours are to die for!
I would also reccommend going into your local MAC store or counter and checking out some of the other paint pot colours for one that suits your skin tone specifically.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about these products at all except that they are a little pricey so make sure that you really really want one, and you pick colour that is right for you.

Hey Guys,
I am so sorry for my horrible lack of post, posting. I do however have good excuses - IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY :D (April 1st just incase you cared) And I know what you're thinking- your birthday's only one day, don't be so silly. But, to be perfectly honest with all the planning and family stuff that i've had going on, it didn't leave me with much room to make posts.
But, to make up for it, I'm dedicating my day today to getting as many posts done as possible!

REVIEW: KONAD Nails

Hey guys!
How's life?

Last weekend I tried out Konad stamping with my friend Em (which she bought in New York) and it worked awesomely! So I thought I would give you guys a little preview of what it looks like.

I did mine with this gorgeous turquoise nail polish from OPI (can't remember the name of the colour oops.) and used just a plain white polish for the stamping. It literally took about 10 minutes all up which considering how amazing it looks is totally awesome!

I'm pretty keen to do a tutorial at some point, and I think this would be a great opportunity to do one. But, exciting news, my friend Jordan (who's doing a course at TAFE for beauty therapy) is going to properly show all of you guys how to make your nails look snazzy.
It'll be up soon with info about the product (where to buy it, price etc.) as well, so keep checking back! Ps. Jordan is going to be my nail expert for Georgie's Glambition, so if you want to see a tutorial on something specific just drop me a comment/request below and i'll make her do it. Oh goodness I am so sorry that I haven't posted in so long!
I've been swamped with work, exams etc. so i'm pretty much dyeing at the moment (yes, yes I know you probably don't care all much).

But, I just wanted to let you all know that i'm getting started on some awesome posts and they will be out by no later than next week. :)

Random point, but i'm so excited for tomorrow alskjfhadkjlghqlergqe. I'm going to see the hunger games at midnight with a bunch of my fabulous friends and I honestly can't wait!! Just thought you should share my joy, or be jealous or whatever ;).

REVIEW: Sephora's Ultra Smoothing Primer

Hey guys!
Hope you all had a great weekend. Today I'm going to be reviewing Sephora's Ultra Smoothing Primer - which surprisingly (considering its not a top brand) is actually fantastic!
I decided I would buy this product after my previous shop to Sephora, where they dumped a huge amount of samples in my bag (benefits of being apart of their membership- which I strongly recommend you get!), and this primer happened to be in there.
For me personally, I prefer a very thick primer just because I often suffer from dry skin (ugh) and a thick primer is the only thing that can consolidate it. So at first I was a little bit sceptical of the Sephora primer, but once I opened it I was very very presently surprised!!

Cost: $15 (WOHOO!)
Recommendation: 4.5/5
Benefits of the product:
No oily
Thick
Great for dry skin tones
Easy to apply
Lasts all day - holds your makeup

Alright, let's get started!

So, primer's are very important in your makeup regime if your wanting a good even base to work on, and if your wanting your makeup to last all day long. Thats why it's so important to find the one that works the best for you particularly. And trust me, there are loads and loads of options on the market, so that's why I was so utterly relieved to have found this product!

In all seriousness, I don't really have anything super bad to say about the Sephora Primer.
It's cheap, effective, works well, has all the right qualities and yeah, its just all roundedly (yep, cool that's not really a work, buttttt ok.) great!

I'm thinking that the only downside to this product would probably be if you weren't really looking for a thick primer, but for a more cream/moisturiser constancy like product (thin).
But really, thats not something bad about the product itself, just to do more with personal preference.

Oh you know what, another slight downside would be that you do need to apply quite a lot to your face, just because it doesn't spread out very far- but that's pretty much what happens when you use a thick primer anyway. I apply this primer with a flat foundation brush, just because its quick and easy and I find that this type of brush picks up an deposits the product on my face well.

Haha I don't actually have all that much to say about the product, sorry peeps!
But, if you leave here with one note from this article/review, it should be that this product is definitely worth every cent you spend on it (not that you even have to spend that much, because it is most certainly on the cheap side for a primer) and so much more!

FAVOURITES: Top 10 Lipgloss Products

Now I'm not the biggest lipgloss wearer in the world. I think it may be because I just can't eat with it (and trust me, I eat all the time).
But regardless, here we go,
My personal favourite top 10 lipgloss's:

1. Benefit's Benetint Lip Balm: W/ SPF 15 + and Vitamin E, this gorgeous gloss gives your lips a lovely ruby red shine - plus it feels like jelly and smells like gummy lollies!

2. Bloom Aromatherapy Lip Balm: Yes, I know it's not exactly a "lipgloss" as such, but it does give a nice natural shine to your lips if your looking for something a little more low key. Plus, it moisturises!

3. Urban Rituelle Lip Gloss: This amazing gloss smells of mint, lime and vanilla and not only moisturises your lips, but it's great for a top coat gloss over your favourite lipstick or alone for some added shine.

4. Elf's Hyper-shine Gloss's: These gloss's are perfect! I love the applicator at the top, and they all smell like cotton candy. Perfect for a natural look.

5. Max Factor's Vibrant Curve Effect Mini Series: I love these gloss's, these are only two of the five colours that I have, but even so these are by far my favourite ones. They are perfect consistency and add a lovely shine. Plus, they're cheap and last forever!

6. Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss (Mirror Shine): Smells lemon and strawberries and gives the lips a plump, finished look. Perfect for single use or over a light coloured lipstick.

7. David Jones Ultra Shine Lipgloss's: I'm not normally into "home brand" buying, but I thought I would give these a go, and it was DEFINITELY worth it. The gorgeous colours, and especially the clear gloss work fantastically over lipstick and don't wear off easily.

8. CATWALK Glass Like Finish: Love this for night-time wear. It has a great shine/sparkle to it and the colour is utterly to die for (the photo doesn't do it justice).

9. Choose CHI CHI Pop Gloss: Haha. I know the colours look funky, but honestly that purple colour is beautiful and fabulous, and actually leaves more of a silver shine on your lips.

10. Last of all: Revlon's Lip Gloss A Lé Res: Great colour, great consistency and a fabulous colour! Only downside is you can only wear it on its own because the colour is very strong.

REVIEW: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder

I'm supposed to be studying right now (big maths and english test coming up) but, hey reviewing product is totally more fun right!

So for today I'm going to do a review on yet again another MAC product (I know, I know bare with me here) but you would know how addicting there products are if you a liberal user like myself. So seeing as I have so much of it, I MUST MUST MUST review it all!

Let the review begin!
Ok, let me just start off by saying that my feelings are constantly changing toward this product.
I think it may be because the colour I got (medium plus) is too closely matched to my skin tone, and a little too orange- obviously meaning that if I ever have the intention of applying this all over my face I end up looking like a barbie doll pumpkin (not a very good look hey?)

So going on the basis that I won't apply this product everywhere, it's GREAT!
This is just the thing you need if your looking to get rid of that horrible, oily, shininess that can be caused by your foundation (liquid of course, OH haha mine happens to be MAC as well, review later).

If your planning on purchasing the product, the best thing to do would be to get it in one shade lighter than your skin tone (like if you were buying foundation)
This then means that you can use it for highlighting your face, giving it great depth!
Another benefit to the lighter colour of the Skinfinish would be that it shields shine perfectly! And it can be blended down perfectly to make your face flawless and b-e-a-utiful.

It's not a loose powder, which for some products means endless, time-wasting, rubbing of your brush onto the surface of the powder just to get even a little bit of residue off - But, not it this case! phewww.
The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder goes onto, and off of your brush effortlessly so that means not more wasting, no more effort and no more worries!

However this review wouldn't be complete without the downsides (aww).
Firstly, the powder is a bit pricey ($60) which means that if your on a tight budget, this probably isn't the best way to go. Luckily I picked this up in New York for a mere $25 so to me it was totally worth it!

On the other hand if you do decide to fork out some cash for this product and you pull a Georgie and get the wrong colour (too dark would be the worst), it totally limits your usage of the product- unless your keen on going Jersey Shore Sheek, which I certainly am not.
But a little plus to a minus, it does actually work really well as a bronzer! Obviously not on its own, but if your going for some contrasting colour on your cheeks then this is great on the upper cheek bone with a darker bronzer to compliment on the lower.

BRUSHES

Depending on your use of the product, I'd say an all over face and body powder brush (wide, with soft bristles) is probably the way to go if your looking to reduce shine and use the powder to finish off your face.

REVIEW: MAC Two Glow Eyeshadow.

So, here we go -

I didn't actually purchase this product as such (it was a gift), and to be perfectly honest with you, considering the price - i'm glad I didn't!

This warm golden, bronze colour of this eyeshadow shimmers like fairy dust and comes in a typical mac pot (only available in pot form unfortunately), with not one, but two intertwining swirls of eyeshadow delight. This pot of gold is most certainly a party favourite.

Before I go on, funny story first: When I was given this item at the begining of the year I was using it as a bronzer for the underside of my cheekbones for practically a month before I flipped it over and saw that it was actually an eyeshadow! But I have to say, it does make a FABULOUS bronzer if your going for that slightly tanned, shimmery, party goer look - which is always a must.

Although, when I did find out it was an eyeshadow it got me thinking (not that it stopped me from using it as a bronzer), this product was HUGE for a mac eyeshadow pot (which I suppose there are multiple ones like this, but bear with me here) - To be perfectly honest with you it's either an oversized eyeshadow (which is completely unnecessary) or an undersized bronzer (not cool bro, not cool).

Oh goodness i'm making this product sound awful.

- Ok, so apart from its stupid size, and annoying price, it is actually both a fabulous eyeshadow and bronzer!

If your actually planning on using it on your eyes, its great for defining your upper crease, or as an all over lid shadow (its just so sparkly how can I resist!).
But if you not into the whole: "All that glitters is FAB" thing, then this product probably isn't for you - being highly pigmented and all.

So for me, considering I didn't have to actually purchase the item and I love this natural glittery look, i'd give it a 4/5 - but if you do have to buy it, probably more around a 3/5 unfortunatley (but hey, there are always birthdays and Christmas for these kinds of things right?).

I use an all over eye blender (for my lid) or a contour blending brush (for my crease) when i'm using it as a shadow.

REVIEW: Clinque Blush, Precious Posy.

So, I decided what better way to kick off my blog that with a couple of reviews/recommendations of the items in my essentials, everyday kit?

REVIEW 1: Clinique Blush, Precious Posy.

This blush is one of the two blushes in my essential kit - the other being mac's mineralize blush.

but both are absolutely fantastic!

I bought this blush from Sephora on my recent trip to New York and it was only about $20ish. But, i'm guessing here in Aus its probably closer to around $30 (which in my eyes is totally worth it, seeing as it's fantastic!)

I don't think I can rave enough about this blush!

It's been lasting me for around 4 months now, and i've only just started to make a dent in it, so, considering I use it almost every single day that's pretty damn good.

I have quite an olive skin tone, and it sits so beautifully on my cheek bones ahhhh i just love it!

It's got a lovely rosy posy pink tone with a hint of shimmer to make your cheeks pop! Plus, it's great for layering- you can go with a little light touch of pink on the apples of your cheeks with one coat, or layer it up for gorgeous stand out cheek bones!

The Clinique line is just so wonderful and reliable (oh and definitely worth every penny!).

However, the only downside to this product for me is the packaging, I mean don't get me wrong I love the reflective mirror case, but almost as soon as i got it, it got all scratched up completely ruining its fancy shine.

But apart from that I would definitely rate this blush a rocking 4.5/5!!

Oh PS. i did some research and you can pick it up from all department stores (david jones, myer etc) in the clinique makeup section. ENJOY!

oops, PPS. I apply this blush all over my cheek bones (and a little on my chin and forehead to give me some colour) with an all over face and body powder brush - which i picked up online for about $15.

But, if you're looking for something that gives a more defining line, an angled bronzing brush would do the job just as fineeee.
