Jhpiego is hiring for the position of State Program Officer based at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. This position will be responsible for providing technical, functional and operational support towards improving the Ante Natal care. S/he will work closely with the government officials and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of Project. This position will report to National Program Officer.

State Program Officer - Shimla, Himachal Pradesh

Responsibilities

Help monitor and supervise timely implementation of program activities in the intervention districts as per the agreed annual program work plan.
Coordinate with State Program Officer/State Program Manager and concerned staff working on this program (M& E, Technical, procurement etc) minutely on progress and smooth roll-out of planned activities.
As per programmatic need, supervise and guide program Officers to achieve the goal of Born Healthy program in the assigned district.
Develop and produce documents, program related reports and presentations according to the program and Jhpiego guidelines for internal program needs and for external dissemination.
Support State Program Officer/State Program Manager in day-to-day operations and management of activities for program.
Liaise and establish a good working relationship with concerned government officials in the State. Coordinate and collaborate with government officials, other stakeholders, and Jhpiego staff for effective implementation.
Coordinate with State M&E team and Field staff to review the status of proper collection, collation, analysis and dissemination of the program data.
Facilitate project activities including workshop planning, logistics planning and management, travel arrangements and other activity support to ensure smooth implementation.
Contribute in the development of technical content required for the program.

Required Qualifications

MBBS /AYUSH/BDS/Nursing with respective council registration with Post Graduate Degree in Public Health.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience of working with public health programs, especially in MNH is desirable
Experience of working with the Director Public Health / National Health Mission at the project or State level is desirable.
Experience of conducting training, managing programs, and providing clinical support to public health workers.
Knowledge of the health sector and Health and wellness centers is essential
Technical knowledge and field experience in Maternal Health program specially Ante Natal Care
Familiarity with the Indian health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government policies/strategies particularly National Rural Health Mission would be advantageous.

Project Manager – Ecotechnology

Job Description

In MSSRF, at the Ecotechnology Programme Area undertakes multi-sectoral, interdisciplinary projects supported by diverse funding sources including FCRA-funded initiatives, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, and Government-funded programmes, PFMS Projects. These projects span eight sites across India: Puducherry, Villupuram, Pudukottai, Thiruvaiyaru, Kannivadi, Vadugapatti, Ganjam, and Aurangabad. Each funding agency brings distinct financial and administrative compliance requirements, making effective project management critical for operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Financial Management

Extend support to monitor expenditure in alignment with funder-specific guidelines.
Provide necessary support to prepare and submit financial reports, including reimbursable cost claims, PFMS uploads, and donor-specific documentation.
Ensure timely documentation and submission of bills, vouchers, and related compliance materials.

Administrative support

Facilitate team for ERP entries on transactions, purchase requisitions, and inventory management.
Coordinate logistics and procurement processes in accordance with organizational and donor protocols.

Operational Coordination

Support the Programme Area Head in planning, tracking, and reviewing field activities and outputs.
Assist in compiling and reviewing monthly/annual staff work plans and progress reports.

Stakeholder Liaison

Coordinate with finance, procurement, administration, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Serve as a liaison between site offices and the central office for operational updates and support.

Other Duties

Carry out additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Programme Area Head.

Qualifications and Skills: Prior exposure to donor-funded projects (FCRA/CSR/Government) and familiarity with PFMS and ERP systems is highly desirable.
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and across multi-location teams.

Essential Qualification
Graduate/Postgraduate degree – MSW or Bachelor’s in Management, Commerce, Economics, Public Administration, or related field.
Experience desirable
Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in project financial management and administrative coordination.
