The objective was to recreate 30 seconds of the movie Battle Los Angeles .We spent a lot of time in pre production during which we obtained a similar uniform to that of a US Marine. We combined two guns into one and painted it black to get the desired look of a rifle. After searching the whole of Delhi we finally found an appropriate place to shoot but we were unable to attain the permission. Finally we found a location in Nehru Place, Delhi. One major problem we had was the constantly changing daylight, still we managed to wrap up our final shoot quickly. And this was personal too, had some unfinished stories that now, have a proper ending. Many thanks to the entire team.

And I woke up

The blanket of stars were eminent.

As if I could see EVERYTHING.

All the connections. One energy from another. One thought to another. One soul to another.

I understood the meaning of Eternal.

I was falling inside of me.

And I realized by standing still how blind I have been.

How dead I was.

I was mesmerized..first time in my life I had no thought in my mind.

No emotion.

No feeling.

I was at peace.

I could feel my breath. I could hear my heartbeat. I could see what sketches in my hand meant. I could actually SEE.

Even my grey matter. My void. Was accepted here.

Every part of me belonged here.

I, belonged here.

But I wasn't alone. I could feel it.

I could feel the whole world. But there was more, there was something more i could hear!

It wasn't a voice, it was like a thought. Coming from inside of me. To listen, I closed my eyes for the last time.

"Listen to the sound of quietness..dance to its tune..

Feel the rhythm, let your instinct take over..let your mind do what it was meant to do..open the doors..

Empty ur cup

Free your mind

Accept this infinite knowledge

Start believing. Start breathing. Start hearing. Start feeling Start looking.

Evolution and change is inevitable. That's the nature of earth. But destiny..fate..kismat..that's a conversation between a soul and the stars.

Why is the salvation hidden?

Cuz frm that perspective, it permits experience, growth and eventual fulfillment of destiny..

Some mindblowing footage from the space expedition. Makes you feel how small the world really is :P

and the crew of expeditions 28 & 29 onboard the International Space Station from

August to October, 2011, who to my knowledge shot these pictures at an altitude

of around 350 km. All credit goes to them. I intend to upload a FullHD-version

presently.

HD, refurbished, smoothed, retimed, denoised, deflickered, cut, etc.

All in all I tried to keep the looks of the material as original as possible,

avoided adjusting the colors and the like, since in my opinion the original

footage itself already has an almost surreal and aestethical visual nature.

In this world, from time to time i get a feeling i am living someone else dream, and sometimes nightmare. Chasing ghosts. Praying myths. Uncontrolled self. Dependent. A blind man trying to find colours.

I wish i could say i am any better than the society i live in. We are pretty much alike. Specialy in knowleddge. Both of us know grass isn’t greener on the other side. Both of us know we aren’t leading our lives nywhere wid deadend jobs. Both of us know everyone lives in fear. Both of us know how fucked up the world really is. The only difference is, they have decided to ignore it, i have decided to express it. And sometimes fight it.

I would be lying if i told u i never imagined myself a hero who saved the world from all its blasphemy its greed, its hunger to destroy in order to create. But then so would you. But this isn’t about u. Neither its about the damn world. Not about the purpose of life. Not about any grand meaning of this utter chaos. This time is about me. Yes, “me”.

The term “I” which they so bluntly told you to throw it away for the greater good. Truth, as i have come to realize, is this “I” where it all begins.
“I” is the question “I” is the answer. “I” is where it all begins, and where it all ends. How much do we truly know about ourselves? I am not taking about sudden euphoria within you, neither about preaching of dead gods, nor i am talking about the religious fanatics. I am talking about you. YOU as a whole. The being. The being who have some amazing powers. The power of will. The power to think. To imagine. To have endless possibilities. And the biggest power - to act on these.

The society, where we live and breathe, where we “contribute” is nothing more than an idea bestowed upon us. The reason, very few question it, is simple. Its difficult to see something u live everyday. Its just hiding in plain sight. Its the idea of society on which our Governments, our religion, holy books, and our conditioning is based upon. “Society” is the biggest idea ever conceived by humans. As damaged as it is. Its hard not to see its beauty. The beauty of an idea gone indestructible.

The power to think. The power to question, anything and anyone. Thats what makes us unique in creation. Now what if i tell you that is not it. What if i tell you every living being is connected. That your dreams are another reality. That there is no reality. What we are looking for, in deep seas, on another planets, in micro-organisms is already within us. Control of your physical self, freedom of your inner self, peace, chaos, connectivity, access to the universe, origin, god.

“I”, “me” is bigger than what we think. If i have brought you any closer to this prespective, it sholdnt be hard to see. All the origins of all the gods and thee holy books, is just a coma on another beginning. The connectivity which starts within all of us.

All this laced with plenty of sex, some complicated ideas you won’t be hit over the head with and may even find interesting. And finally onto a full-blast ending in Hollywood with our hero gobbling up all its rewards, money, fame, beautiful women. And don’t go away-don’t go away-how it all turns to ashes.

“That’s not enough? You’ve heard it all before? But remember I’m a master of magic. I can bring all these people truly alive. I can show you what they truly think and feel. You’ll weep for them, all of them, I promise you that. Or maybe just laugh. Anyway, we’re going to have a lot of fun. And learn something about life. Which is really no help.

“Ah, I know what you’re thinking. That conning bastard trying to make us turn the page. But wait, it’s only a tale I want to tell. What’s the harm? Even if I take it seriously, you don’t have to. Just have a good time.

“I want to tell you a story, I have no other vanity. I don’t desire success or fame or money. But that’s easy, most men, most women don’t, not really. Even better, I don’t want love. When I was young, some women told me they loved me for my long eyelashes. I accepted. Later it was for my wit. Then for my power and money. Then for my talent. Then for my mind-deep. A short vfx movie made by a gang of 7 students..the movie took 8 months in the making and is very close to all 7 of us :) we had lots of fun while creating this movie and obviously learnt a lot..i hope u like it :)

I worked as a matte painter, compositor, editor, modeler and shading artist in the movie.

Our first movie :) we completed this under 2 months with the crew of 7 people.

"Uttar gayii" won the VFX war 2008, an annual VFX short movie competition.
