Valentines day special - How to take smile on face of your loved ones.

Valentine’s Day is the occasion when you can experience both being Loved and to be loved. Everyone celebrated is their own ways. It's not necessary to break the bank to show your love on Valentine's Day, yes, I am saying the truth! Making your loved one happy and making him/her smile is the best way you can celebrate this valentines day.

Take care of yourself -

Taking care of your self is important. If you are not happy, how you can make some one happy?

Be happy for your life, your love, and whatever you do in your life.

Take some time to paper yourself. Enjoy your company. Take spa. Have hair cut. :) Do facial at home, if you don't want to go out. Do all this before a week, so you can enjoy your valentines day with your loved one.Wear a nice, comfortable clothes with colors she/he likes.

Every one loves flowers, Flowers can be the best thing you can give anyone to make him/her smile. Doesn't meter Roses only, you can give flowers of his/her choice.

Keeping Well When Monsoon Dwells

First showers of monsoon are heartily welcomed by everyone after experiencing the scorching heat of summer. But monsoons reduce the immunity of our body and make us susceptible to many diseases which are commonly associated with this season. It is time for us to keep our body resistant against diseases by boosting our immunity and taking precautions against these diseases.

The diseases associated with monsoon are malaria, jaundice, gastro intestinal infections like typhoid and cholera. Apart from these, viral infections like cold and cough also make their presence felt.

Pollution of drinking water during monsoon is very common. It is very necessary to drink clean and pure water when water borne monsoon diseases.

Precautions to be taken in Monsoon

• Drink only boiled water or use a water purifier. Boiled water kills germs leading to water borne diseases and is safe to drink.

• Avoid eating outside as much as possible especially roadside stalls due to hygiene concerns.

•   Do not eat stale food. This pointer is applicable in all seasons.
•   Make sure that you cover the food, vegetables and fruits all the time, to protect them from flies.
•   Make sure that you close water and mud pools on the road in your area or even water containers as openings like these lead to breeding of mosquitoes.
•   Always carry raincoats and umbrellas with you and avoid getting wet in the rain because running cold, cough and fever are dominant in this season.
•   People suffering from asthma attacks or joint problems may have their conditions worsened. Therefore stay indoors as much as possible.
•   Vaccinations for kids against cholera, typhoid and jaundice (Hepatitis A) can be taken as a precautionary measure as this season is prone to epidemics.
•   Some people tend to get gloomy this weather therefore try to engage yourself in some work, hobby or activity.
•   Lots of accidents can occur due to slippery roads therefore drive carefully.
•   Make sure that any piece of your clothing is not damp as it may lead to fungal growth. Therefore wear dry clothes at all times and have more than two pieces of personal clothing in case of unforeseen circumstances.

• Don't go outside until officially advised it is safe to do so.
• Check for gas leaks and don't use electrical appliances if wet.
• Continue to listen to your local radio for official warnings and advice.
• If you did evacuate your home, don't return until advised it is safe to do so.
• When you do return, use a recommended route and don't rush.
• Beware of fallen power lines, damaged bridges, buildings and trees, and don't enter floodwaters.
• Heed all warnings and don't go sightseeing.
• Don't make any unnecessary telephone calls.

What you should do:

• Store all loose items inside. Put wooden or plastic outdoor furniture in your pool (if you have one) and fill garbage/wheelie bins and dinghies with water (water can be used for flushing toilets if required).
• Disconnect all electrical appliances and turn off the gas.
• Close shutters, board-up or heavily-tape all windows.
• Fuel your car or other vehicles and park it under solid cover.
• Pack an evacuation kit including your emergency kit, warm clothing, essential medications, valuables, papers, photos and keepsakes in waterproof bags.
• Stay inside and shelter in the strongest part of the building (eg the cellar, internal hallway or bathroom).
• If the building starts to break up, protect yourself with mattresses, rugs or blankets or by sheltering under a strong table or bench. If necessary, hold on to a solid fixture such as a water pipe.
• Continue to listen to your portable radio for updates and advice.
• Beware of the calm 'eye' of the cyclone. If the wind suddenly drops, don't assume that the cyclone is over. Violent winds will soon resume from the opposite direction (it is best to wait for the official all-clear).
• If you are driving, STOP - but well away from the sea and clear of trees, power-lines and watercourses. Stay in your vehicle.

Prior to the beginning of cyclone season, you can take some basic precautions that may save the lives of your family, your home and your business.

What you should do:

• Check that your home is in a good condition, especially the roof and eaves.
• Trim any tree branches hanging over your roof.
• Clear your property of any loose items that could become missiles during extreme winds (eg sheet iron and wood).
• Know your community disaster plan, check with your local council.
• Prepare an emergency kit containing:
• A portable radio, torch and spare batteries.
• Stocks of fresh water and canned food.
• Matches, fuel lamp, portable stove, cooking gear, utensils, can opener and waterproof bags.
• A first aid kit, manual and masking tape for windows.
• Keep a list of emergency phone numbers handy, including numbers for your local Police, Fire, Ambulance, State Emergency Service, Local Council, Gas and Electricity Company and relatives.
• Find out how and where to turn off power, gas and water supplies.
• Check that you have adequate household and contents insurance and which hazards are not covered by the policy.
• Store your important documents (eg wills, passports, photos, birth certificates) in a fire/water-proof container or safe deposit box.

Cyclone Laila has made landfall on the southern Indian coast, battering the area with heavy rains and strong winds, officials say.

Winds of 90km/h (55mph) have uprooted trees and electricity poles. More than 50,000 people have been evacuated.

Cyclone Laila leaves trail of devastation; 17 dead

At least 17 people were killed and three others were missing as cyclone Laila left a trail of devastation in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh damaging road networks and destroying crops.

Cyclone Phet unlikely to affect UAE weather

The tropical cyclone Phet will have minimal effect on the UAE weather as it is expected to move slowly towards Pakistan and India, according to a weather alert issued by the national weather bureau.

Phet is currently located in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Oman. It has intensified quickly in the last 24 hours.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said the satellite imagery shows Phet is on the northwest Arabian Sea and its eye is about 360km away from the coast of Oman.

Wear cool cloths:

Dress your self light-weight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing, preferably of natural fabrics like cotton.
Use hats and umbrellas outside.
If the air conditioning appears to bother you, use layers such as a long-sleeved shirt or a light cloth over the ankles.

Enjoy fashion for the season:

Its time to wear sunglasses, its offers you sun protection and cute look too.

Avoid direct sun:

Stay indoors during the hottest hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Drive as close to the door of destinations as possible. If you want to go outside, make sure it's during cooler hours and that you are in the shade, on a covered porch, or under an umbrella.

Drink plenty of fluids:

Take plenty of water and fruit or vegetable juice even if you think you are not thirsty.
No alcohol, coffee or tea. Seek medical help if you feel dehydration.

Lemon juice, Watermelon and Mango is the best choice you can ever have for the season.

Cover windows:

During the day, pull the curtains on all windows that are in direct sunlight.
Open windows at night and use fans or cross-ventilation to circulate cooler air.
An open, uncovered window during the day will simply make the inside temperature the same as outside.

Use air conditioning:

Keep the air conditioning on below degrees. If you don't have air conditioning, invest in a room air conditioner or use room fans to circulate inside air.
If possible, Go to short distance to an air-conditioned place where you can sit, such as a library, mall, restaurant or theater. But avoid overcrowded places and rush hours.

Light meals:

Avoid hot, heavy meal. Take light food and enjoy the season.

Take cool showers:

Take a cool shower or bath. Its really good thing you can enjoy in such a hot temperature.

Eliminate or limit physical activity:

If your physician approves light exercise such as walking and movement exercises, limit them to short periods during cool hours. Eliminate entirely on very hot days.
