MP3 Audio Format Is Officially Dead

Short Bytes: A German Foundation, which owns the patent for MP3 audio format and licenses it, has announced that it’s abandoning the licenses to the format. The foundation has supported the use of better formats like AAC family or MPEG-H. While this move won’t end the use of MP3 instantly, it’s a symbolic move that’ll help other audio formats grow.

MP3, the de-facto music file format that helped Apple and Spotify become music giants is approaching its inevitable death. It’s not that people are ditching the use of MP3 and its popularity is decreasing, but its license is being terminated.
Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, the German foundation which owns the patent for MP3 audio format and licenses it, has announced that it’ll be no longer be supporting the format. Wondering why? Because they believe that better ways to store music have appeared on the scene and MP3’s retirement should help those formats.

Here’s what Fraunhofer Institute’s official statement has to say:

On April 23, 2017, Technicolor’s mp3 licensing program for certain mp3 related patents and software of Technicolor and Fraunhofer IIS has been terminated.

Fraunhofer Institute says that most of the well-known streaming, TV, or radio service providers are now using ISO-MPEG codecs like AAC family or MPEG-H.

MP3’s termination won’t be killing its usage instantly. People will continue to use MP3 as they don’t need a license. However, this move is symbolic and is in favor of superior audio formats. Still, MP3 music format is something we grew up with and it’ll find a place in history books.

Finally wait is over, Nokia launched Nokia 6 and entered in Android Smartphones.

Finally wait is over guys. Today, Nokia has announced their first Nokia branded Android Smartphone via release on their website. The phone named "Nokia 6" will be exclusively available in china on JD.com.

The phone comes with 5.5inch Full HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. It has Octacore SnapDragon 430 processor along with the 4GB RAM and massive 64GB internal storage which can be expandable using MicroSD card.

We are very exited about the actual Camera performance in the Nokia phones. On the paper, it has 16MegaPixel Rear camera with pixel size 1micron and aperture of f2.0 with dual tone LED flash. Front facing camera of 8MP 2.0 aperture with 84degree wide, and has 1.12 micron pixel size.

The dual SIM 4G phone will have 3000mah non-removable battery. It will run on latest Android OS 7.0(Nougat). The phone has Dual Speakers which 1st at the top and 2nd at the bottom of the phone along with the Micro usb port and primary mic, the secondary mic is located at the back side near camera. The phone has Dolby Atmos support, Fingerprint scanner. The Power button is at the right side with the volume buttons.

The first Nokia branded Android phone looks very good with the very good specifications. In India, their are lot of fans of the nokia. But the HMD Global, the new custodians of the Nokia brand launched first phone in China. Their is no confirm information is out there about bringing Nokia 6 in the indian Market.

The famous smartphone maker OnePlus, has opened its first ever Experience Store in India. The Store is located at Hira Property at No.5, New No.213, Brigade road in Banglore. The store will be open for all from 7th of January 2017 at 2:00 PM.

The Experience Store will not sell any products. OnePlus remains to be online only Brand, selling phones exclusively on Amazon India. Xiaomi is planning to launch its new product globally at CES event 2017

Xiaomi have become known for launching excellent products in their home country of China. It have been Welcomed by India Market, and have developed a massive fan base in India. Now they are planning to go further and launch their all new product in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 Event.

According to the official Xiaomi Twitter account, "an all new product" launch is to happen "globally" during CES 2017. Xiaomi has scheduled an event on 5 January 2017, the first day of the Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas.

For now,it is unclear that which new product xiaomi is going to launch. But it will be 'innovative' product for global Market. The tweet just hints at "an all-new product".

Recently Xiaomi has launched their powerfull new smartphones 'Mi Note 2' and 'Mi Mix' in China. The devices are one of the best devices from Xiaomi, currently they are only available in China. They have lot of different products that they sell in China, like smart routers, smart TVs and even robot vacuum cleaners, so it’s possible that instead of launching a new smartphone, Xiaomi is to launch a new product in these lines.

According to speculations online, the surprise product could be a tablet, a smartwatch or even a 3D Printer. However, nothing is known for sure. Earlier this year, Xiaomi had quietly launched its Android 6.0 Marshmallow supporting 4K Mi Box for $69.

OnePlus will launch its latest smartphone OnePlus 3T in India on December 2. It is an upgraded version of OnePlus 3. The general manager of OnePlus India - Vikas Agarwal had said that he would announce the date later after a "Truth or Dare" contest. On November 24, he delivered on his promise announced that the new phone will launch in India on December 2.

The OnePlus 3T went on sale in several markets - The US and some European countries on Tuesday. The phone has a starting price of $439, which is $40 more than the launch price of the OnePlus 3. But OnePlus has not released the price for OnePlus 3T in India till now. OnePlus 3 costs 27,999 in india so it can be said that the OnePlus 3T cost more than 30,000.

The OnePlus 3T is very similar to OnePlus 3. But it comes with a bigger battery - 3400mAh and a new 16-megapixel rear camera. It also has a front camera that has big 16-megapixel image sensor. The OnePlus 3T, just like the OnePlus 3 continues to use the Oxygen OS which is based on Android Marshmallow. It also has dash charging support and uses the same 5.5-inch AMOLED screen that is there inside the OnePlus 3.

Nokia will launch new smartphones in 2017

Nokia is set to make its big comeback to smartphone industry in 2017. Nokia has broken the silence, Nokia in its Capital Markets Day 2016 event shared a slide that shows its agenda for 2017, Which includes "Nokia brand's return to smartphones". Nokia's non-competent deal with Microsoft ends this year. The company will start launching Android devices next year.

Nokia CEO already promised to deliver the trademark design and build quality we come associate with the brand. Nokia will not be making its smartphones itself. It will just be acting as the owner of the brand and its patents, while overseeing the development of new phones,which will be made by HMD global, a new company that was created earlier this year. HMD will be pairing Nokia’s patents and brand with Foxconn’s R&D and manufacturing.

XIAOMIs MIUI 9 TO COME SOON WITH NOUGAT.

MIUI (MI User Interface) developed by Xiaomi, is a stock and aftermarket firmware for smartphones.

One of the biggest Chinese firm is in the news that it is going to launch its much awaited Xiaomi MIUI 9 ROM. This latest version of the Xiaomi’s skinned OS with Android will bring various interesting features that have been teased by the company.

The previous MIUI 8 was available for almost every Xiaomi handset, so users are hoping to see the same thing from the next major OS update. Although a few of images of MIUI 9 were spotted online, we have no specifics on what to expect from it. What we do know is that the update will be big in size, as the previous build versions were around 1.8 GB big.

As the officials haven't officially declared the release so the one only thing we can do is to wait up for the to come from XIAOMI.

OnePlus 3T is an upgraded version of OnePlus 3 flagship phone and here are the specifications and price.

OnePlus has launched the upgraded version OnePlus 3 - The OnePlus 3T. The things which are upgraded form the OnePlus 3 are the faster SoC, increased Storage, an improved front camera, and a larger battery.

In the announcement, OnePlus says both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will get Android N update in the future.

The new OnePlus 3T comes with same 5.5inch FullHD(1920x1080) Display with 401ppi pixel density. It has optic AMOLED screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on the top. Dimensions of OnePlus 3T are 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35 mm,and Weight 158g. The 4G LTE phone supports dual nano sim cards but no microSD card support.

The processor given in this phone is Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 (Quad Core, Kryo : 2x 2.35 GHz, 2x 1.6 GHz) and the GPU is 530. The RAM is 6GB LPDDR4. The phone comes with two storage variants 64GB and 128GB UFS 2.0. It has Fingerprint sensor, Hall sensor, Accelerometor, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and Electronic Compass.
It has larger 3400mAh NON-Removable battery and it supports Dash charge(5V 4A) technology which can fastly charge the phone.

Camera : It comes with the 16MP Autofocus PDAF rear camera with aperture f/2.0. It also has the Sony IMX 298 sensor and OIS, EIS Technology. It can record 4K resolution video at 30fps and Slow Motion 720p video at 120fps. The front camera also has 16MP Fixed Focus with aperture 2.0. It can record 1080p video at 30fps. The OnePlus 3T also supports RAW image files out of the box for expert post-shot editing.

Overall it is very good phone in every aspects, you might be like to buy this phone. The OnePlus 3T will be available in the US from November 22, in Europe from November 26, and in the UK from November 28. But this time, no India details were revealed by the OnePlus.

Here is the Guide to Change Font in MIUI 8 without root!

Xiaomi has launched MIUI8 ROM with many new features but their is some thing missing in this ROM. Yes, the latest version of miui rom does not provide the option to change the font style. So, here is the guide to change the font style in the MIUI 8.

Follow the easy steps :

First of all download these two files: 1. QuickShortcutMaker_link 2. iFont_link
Then install both apps. Open QuickShortcutMaker app and scroll down, find "Settings" marked with "com.android.settings" under Heading.
Tap on "settings" then new list will be open, in that list find and Tap on heading "Settings" with sub-heading "Font".
Tap "Tap to change label" change it to "Font" and Tap on "create" then new shortcut will be created.
Then open iFont app, choose your font, download it, now see the upper side. Their will be option named "THEME" tap it. Press ok, again press ok.
It will redirect you to the themes app, tap on offline and see at the last.. tap on import
Now go to miui>theme folder, your font will appear here, select font and tap ok.
Now all set, just open the shortcut which we have made.
Two options are there, "system font" and "text size" choose system font and choose your font and reboot phone.
You have now changed the font style.

If you get errors like "error 402" then go to this link and log in with your mi account which is in the phone. Fill the form with your real name and real photo alse your request will not be accepted. Then wait for the confirmation mail for the xiaomi. after accepting request, you can now change the font of your device.

Quick Guide To Turn OFF Windows Updates in Windows 10

If you have limited internet data connection or want to stop irritating windows updates, this guide is for you. It not only save your data but also save your valuable time.

Many of you have Windows 10 Operating System running in your computer. In Windows 10, in the settings/control panel you did not find any option for disabling windows updates, so they get automatically downloaded. After that, you cannot Shutdown or restart your Computer without updating the windows updates. Many times you get in trouble while updating the automatically downloaded windows updates.Many times the process takes too much time to update the windows.

So, to stop the windows from automatically downloading Windows Updates and save your data and time follow this steps :

Right click on "Windows" or press "Windows" + "X" key.
Click on "Computer Management".
New window will open, Find and double click on "Services and Applications"
Click on "Services".
New list will showing, End of the list find "Windows Updates" Double click on it.
New window will open, look for the "Service status" just below their will be "STOP" button. Click it and wait for the process to complete.
Then look for " Startup Type" and from the drop down menu select "disabled".
Now press "Apply" and "Ok"
Restart your computer to take affect.

In case, if you want to update you windows then just follow the steps given till no.5 and select "Automatic" in Startup type and restart the computer.

This trick can be work with the Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 7 also.

rumours and leaks ahead of the launch have turned out to be true.

Apple has launched the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus smartphones starting from $649 along with Apple Watch Series 2, Apple Watch Nike Plus for price starting from $369 and Wireless Earpods for $159.

For now iPhone 7 will launch in India at a starting price of Rs. 60,000 for the new 32GB base storage model. There's no word on the price in India of other variants.
