My predictions were way off for Group A as Greece moved on over Russia, who was the high favorite of the Group. Czech Republic disappointed an entire host nation by eliminating the Polish. Both of these teams await the results of today’s game as they will each be heavy underdogs against any team they play against in Group B.
The Group of B meanwhile is as complicated as it gets. Germany needs a tie or win for a quarter finals berth.
Denmark needs a win. A tie would force them to pray for a Dutch victory, because a tie would pit them in a tie breaker with Portugal. Since head to head is the first tie breaker in the UEFA Euro Cup, then Portugal will pass on virtue of a 3-2 victory over the Danes.

Portugal needs a win and a German victory. A tie in both games would also put Portugal through.
Netherlands has it most complicated of all. They need Germany to win and then need to beat Portugal by 2 or more goals. With a win and German victory Netherlands would tie Portugal and Denmark in points. The head to head matches all nullify one another as Netherlands would have beat Portugal, Portugal would have beaten Denmark, and Denmark would have beaten Netherlands. The next tie breaker would be Goal Differential and with a two goal victory, Denmark would have a 0 goal differential, Portugal would have a -1 goal differential, and Denmark would have a -1 goal differential as well.

Portugal and the Netherlands reignite a rivalry that has spanned numerous World Cups. In 2006, both teams got into a battle of attrition in the Group of 16 with Portugal coming out on top. Circumstances were a tad different then as Portugal was a favorite led by the legendary Luis Figo. Now Cristiano Ronaldo is the central focus for the Portuguese, but the Dutch, led by Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, and Robin Von Persie were expected to be contenders after an impressive 2-1 World Cup. The World Cup success has not translated to the Euro thus far. However, this may be this particular group of Dutch superstars' last chance to ever achieve greatness on the international stage. Van Persie, Sneijder, and Robben are all 28 and will be right on that dreaded 30 years of age line in the 2012 World Cup. Who knows how efective they will be then or how many opportunities they get to star as younger stars take over the team. Look for the Dutch to put it all on the line in this one.
The Dutch have not fared well against the Portuguese in past international matches and have the most pressure heading into this match. They must win and must win by 2 goals at least. And they must pray for a Germany win. Portugal can afford to tie if Germany ties or wins.
The player to watch will be Cristiano Ronaldo who has not performed up to expectations. He blew two golden opportunities to win the game against Denmark and his misses almost cost his team as they blew a 2-0 lead in the final 10 minutes. Fortunately his team bailed him out, but Ronaldo needs to play the way people expect him to. He is after all considered the best player in the world in many circles.
Prediction: Portugal wins 2-1. Ronaldo will finally have his moment.
Germany Vs. Denmark (Group B) 2:45 P.M., ET on ESPN2
With the exception of Spain, there is no other team so highly favored as the Germans. Led by a youthful core that includes Mezut Ozil, the surprising Mario Gomez, Thomas Muller, Bastian Scweinsteiger, and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, this team has been more dominant than score lines have indicated in their first two games. Denmark has played valiantly with a 1-0 defeat of Holland and resiliently rebounded from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game in the waning minutes against Portugal. They were the heavy underdog in this group but are now just a win or tie away from moving on. Of course, a tie would be contingent on a Portuguese loss.
Denmark will need to quell the Germans’ aggressive attack because the German offense is capable of undressing any defense. They were the highest scoring team in the 2010 World Cup and when all is said and done, they might be able to do the same in this tournament.
Prediction: Germany 4-0. Denmark will likely play an open aggressive game looking for the win, but the Germans will not only contain them, but exploit them with their aggressive counterattack. Think Argentina in 2010.

The Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi whose father was abducted was abducted on Friday,August 12, 2011, has been found hale and hearty,but seriously beating in Kano. Michael Obi was abducted on his way back home from work in Jos when he disappeared and afterwards the abductors got in touch with the family. The abductors on the 18th of August have demanded an (N12 million) ransom.     With the English premiership football league actions on air,the eyes of many football fans will most likely turn to the TV screen, towards the UK and one of the country's football team, the Chelsea football club. Many of those football fans , who can't afford to visit the famous Stanford bridge stadium, which is the home of the team, will love to watch and admire their favorite eleven players and their skills.
   With so many football fans at home,who can't visit or travel , i decided to write a short history of the Stamford bridge to show you how it has become one of the most famous football stadium in the world and it's nickname, The pride of London
   The Stamford bridge was built in 1876 and opened in 1877, the stadium was used by the London Athletics Club until 1905, when new owner founded Chelsea Football Club to occupy the ground; Chelsea have played their home games there ever since. It has undergone numerous major changes over the years, most recently in the 1990s when it was renovated into a modern, all-seater stadium.   Stamford Bridge had an official capacity of around 100,000, making it the second largest ground in England after Crystal palace, the FA Cup final venue. As originally constructed, Stamford Bridge was an athletics track and the pitch was initially located in the middle of the running track. This meant that spectators were separated from the field of play on all sides by the width of running track and, on the north and south sides, the separation was particularly large because the long sides of the running track considerably exceeded the length of the football pitch. The stadium had a single stand for 5,000 spectators on the east side only.
In 1945, Stamford Bridge staged one of the most notable matches in its history. Soviet side FC Dynamo Moscow were invited to tour the United Kingdom at the end of the Second World War and Chelsea were the first side they faced. An estimated crowd of over 100,000 crammed into Stamford Bridge to watch an exciting 3–3 draw, with many spectators on the dog track and on top of the stands.Get the live view here!

Stamford bridge has four side or stand as any stadium will, but this is interesting, the first - The Matthew Harding Stand, previously known as the North Stand, is along the north edge of the pitch. In 1939, a small two storied North Stand including seating was erected. It was originally intended to span the entire northern end, but the outbreak of World War II and its aftermath compelled the club to keep the stand small. It was demolished and replaced by open terracing for standing supporters in 1976. It is named after former Chelsea director Matthew Harding, whose investment helped transform the club in the early 1990s before his death in a helicopter accident on October 22, 1996. His investment in the club enabled construction of the stand which was completed in time for the 1996-97 season with the capacity of 10,884.

The second stand - The oldest stand, the East Stand is located along the east side of the pitch and was built in 1973. The stand has three tiers and is the heart of the stadium, housing the tunnel, dugout, dressing rooms, conference room, press center, AV and commentary box. Previously it was the home to away supporters on the bottom tier, however at the start of the 2005/2006 season then-manager Jose Mourinho requested the move of the family section to this part of the stand to boost team morale away fans were moved to the shed with the capacity of 10,925.

The third stand - The Shed End is located along the south side of the pitch. In 1930, a new terrace was built on the south side for more standing spectators. It was originally known as the Fulham Road End but supporters nicknamed it 'The Shed' and this led the club to officially change its name. It opened in time for the 1997/98 season and along with the Matthew Harding Stand is an area of the ground in which many vocal fans congregate today. The Shed also contains the centenary museum and a memorial wall where families of deceased fans are able to leave a permanent memorial of their loved ones indicating their eternal support for the club. A large chunk of the original Shed End terrace still stands today and runs along the south side of the stadium, it has recently been decorated with lights and large images of Chelsea legends. Since 2005 it has been where away supporters are housed, they are given 3,000 tickets towards the east side which is roughly half of the stand with capacity of 6,831.

The fourth stand - In 1964-65, a seated West Stand was built to replace the existing terracing on the west side. Most of the West Stand consisted of rising ranks of wooden tip up seats on iron frames, but seating at the very front was on concrete forms known as "the Benches". The old West Stand was demolished in 1997 and replaced by the current West Stand. In 2001 the construction of the stand was aided by Roman Abramovich. Now complete, the stand is the main external 'face' of the stadium, being the first thing fans see when entering the primary gate on Fulham Road . The Main Entrance is flanked by the Spackman and Speedie hospitality entrances, named after Nigel Spackman and David Speedie former Chelsea players with the capacity of13,500. More live action here!

Article 70 of UEFA's disciplinary regulations state that any banned manager may sit in the stands, but 'may not enter the dressing room, tunnel or technical area before or during the match, nor may he communicate with his team. Wenger appeared to break the rules.

The Arsenal boss watched from the directors' box last night as he served a one-match suspension.But, unfortunately,wenger was captured by photographers clearly giving instructions to his coach Bora Primorac.
