Telestrations - SOOO Much FUN!

How awesome is it just to walk in a store and earn some points towards gift cards?

Recently, I downloaded the Shopkick app on my cell phone. I was a little skeptical at first but after a few minutes I was on my way to earning a gift card of my choosing. All you do is download the Shopkick app and follow some simple registration instructions to start earning points. Just make sure you allow location services when it pops up on your phone.

When I walk into a participating store, I open the Shopkick app and it registers that I am in the store and gives me the points that particular store is earning for walkins that day. You can also use the app to scan particular items throughout the store to earn even more points. I told my husband about the Shopkick app and now both of us get the points when we go places. Kidecals

Kidecals are an awesome way to label your items so that they don’t get lost. My kids are the sweetest but sometimes not the most conscientious about remembering their back packs or lunch boxes. Kidecals allow me to find them easily and prove that indeed those items are actually my kids and not someone else’s .

Example:

My lovely sister purchased a really nice coat for my daughter to wear. She wore it all winter but one day, when it was starting to get warmer in the afternoon’s she lost her coat. I went back to the school the next day and the coat was nowhere to be found. Little did I know, I would find the coat months later in a pile. Another little girl had taken it home and was wearing it up until then. If I had a label inside her coat, this may have been prevented.

Simple Green recently sent me some other great products to try. First off, I love the fact that their products are safe to use. Not only are they safe for all the fine sufaces in your home but they are also non-toxic and biodegradable. I don't know about you but I have been more and more aware of all the chemicals we use on a daily basis. Who really knows what contact with all those harmful fumes does to us. I am sure it is not good.

The line of Simple Green products I was sent to try was formulated especially for high-end surfaces and materials found in modern homes. We have had a busy last few weeks at the "White" house. Life can be so boring and mundane and then all of the sudden everything happens at once. All in the same week we had a wedding to attend, a birthday party to go to, and my sister came to visit from Pennsylvania (we LOVE Aunt Bobbi.) I was a little nervous about how all this would be accomplished since the wedding and birthday party were on the same day but it all turned out perfectly.

We attended the kid's cousin Celie's birthday party. I was very apprehensive about taking both kids by myself because I just never know how it is going to turn out. The party was perfect though for my situation. The setting was in a gymnasium... great for not having to worry about where you kids are. Paisley mainly played on the blow up slide with the other kids and Britt and I played with the various balls laying around the room. He was such a good boy, I was so proud of him. The food was even extremely kid friendly which was awesome. Paisley's statement about the party was, "Mommy, I had SO MUCH FUN!" A big "THANK YOU" to Matthew and Sarah for inviting us to their well thought out party!!!

The wedding was planned for that night and both of my sisters said they would keep the kids. Let me tell you, it is so nice to have someone you trust to watch your kids. I had no one when we lived in Gainesville and that was difficult at times. The wedding was very nice and it was great to go with Adam and relax for a little while.

Sadly, I have no pictures from our time with Aunt Bobbi :( I honestly, did not think about it until after she left. They kids had so much fun spending time with her. They don't get to see her that often but every time they see her, they just pick up where they left off. Never that awkward shyness you sometimes get when kids haven't seen their relatives in a while. I guess they can just sense how much she loves them. Thank you Aunt Bobbi for coming to see us!!!

Here is a random picture taken when we went to pick up Britt from school yesterday. I think the goggles just make the outfit.... Don't you?

P.S. Paisley was such a big girl this morning. Usually, I have to really coax her out of bed but not this morning. She was wide awake smiling when I went in to get her. I left for a minute to check on Britt in the shower and by the time I got back she was dressed complete with shoes and was making her bed. Such a big girl!

I'm Back!

Well, it has been an extremely long time since I have updated my blog. Quite frankly, I hadn't decided until this very moment if I was even going to post anymore. I thought about it though and I do enjoy doing reviews and it is great to have an online documentary of my children's lives. I enjoy looking back and seeing what my children were up to at a certain time. I will recap the last few months briefly and then move on.....

We have been pretty busy with the holidays and life as a whole. Christmas was nice we got to spend it with most of our family (my parents came for a visit.) I miss my family all the time but over the holidays it is exceptionally hard for me, so having them here was a nice treat. The kids had a blast and were spoiled rotten (as usual) with all the presents they received they are not lacking anything.

Soon after Christmas, we headed to Disney World. Adam's parents were extremely generous and took us there as a family. It was great being with everyone and enjoying Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Britt absolutely love Hollywood Studio's, it was right up his alley. He did have a bad cold that kept him from being up to par but he was still good most of the time. Paisley was happy with anything we did. She had a blast! We really created some great memories on that trip that I think we all will cherish.

Since getting back from our trip, life has slowly been getting back to normal. It seems as though there is always something though. I guess that is what makes life interesting.

I was a little skeptical at first that the crackers would taste good but was pleasantly surprised. Trick Or Treat

Monday night, we took Britt and Paisley trick or treating. Our town has a main street that closes and a lot of stores hand out candy to kids as they walk by. Britt was not really into the trick or treating at first, I am not exactly sure why because he loves candy. I just don't think he liked the work involved. His mood brightened when he saw two of his friends from church. He loves hanging out with them. They are considerably older than him but he doesn't care. Britt dressed up as a Ninja and Paisley was Bat girl.

We ended the evening by going down two different streets that the homes were handing out candy. Britt's Children's Church teacher lived there and she told us to stop by. The kids really had fun carrying their bags up and saying "trick or treat." I told Adam that was the best part of the night.

My Memories Suite Review

Thanks to the makers of My Memories Suite, I was able to download and try out this awesome digital scrapbooking software. Using this software, anyone can create digital scrapbooks, photobooks, cards, calendars and gifts without having to buy expensive and complicated software programs.

With My Memories Suite, you can create digital albums with one of the professionally designed album pages or use your own creativity. I really liked looking at some of the ones already done because it allowed me to have extra help when I didn't feel very creative. It also gave me ideas to create my own unique pages.

Besides some church functions, I have not printed any of my digital photos in the last year. I just haven't had the time or energy to upload and print all those photos. Instead I have a massive amount of pictures just sitting on my computer.
