Knee high socks

2013-01-05T15:33:00.001-08:00

Loving the knee high sock trend.

I paired grey socks with a grey shirt and denim inspired button up.

Black riding boots.

Knee high socks can be hard to style,

Wear an appropriately lengthend skirt and closed toed heels, boots and booties.

2012-12-23T07:43:00.001-08:00

Its finally getting a little cold here in Florida.

I layered a long sleeve black sweater under a brown light jacket.

With my black skinny jeans I wore my leather boots for a little bit of an equestrian look.

Casual Day finishing Christmas shopping.

It was cool enough to wear my flannel shirt. I paired it with some ripped jeans and tan flats.

Happy Shopping!

Hello

I love my new Jessica Simpson tan sued wedges!

Paired with dark skinny jeans and my "high-low", mint blue top.

I love this top since the side panels are see through.

Browns and blues are always a great color combination

Enjoy!

Farm Girl

2012-12-17T14:47:00.003-08:00

I know I haven't posted anything new for a while but I am trying to start blogging again.

I finished up my 6th quarter in school and made the following garments for my final.

I was inspired by 1920's 1930's American or European Farm Women.

The hood was made of lace and inspired by head scarves the women wore.

The exaggerated pockets were made by hand, I cut different squares of fabrics to get the quilting affect.

It got super cold for Florida weather this week. I decided to be comfortable a few days ago by wearing grey leggings, black tunic, grey sweater tied with a sudded belt.

A tip for leggings: If you are going to wear them as pants, make sure the shirt covers at least the upper thigh area and butt. Layering is also a good way to wear leggings.

Chocolate Festival

2012-10-15T13:04:00.001-07:00

This Sunday was the chocolate festival at Aventura mall here in Miami. Students from our school made garments out of chocolate and wrappers. I participated and here is the skirt and corset I made. I didn't win any of the places but it was on display at the mall.

I made a corset with a peplum skirt. Covered the bust in hershey kisses.

I made two of the panels out of a hershey kiss package.

The skirt is covered in hershey kiss foil with a red zipper in front.

Casual day. Wearing warm beige hues. Dangle earrings for some bling.

I love my crazy big gypsy earrings with a basic outfit.

I am wearing my faux tan ostrich skin bag.

along with animal prints and faux fur, a big trend this season is leather treated and textured to resemble skins.

Fall.

2012-09-20T08:27:00.000-07:00

Today I felt like dressing for fall,

Even though the weather is still hot.

I wore an army green pencil skirt with a black shirt, and layered it with a grey cardigan.

I tied it together with a thin black studded belt and added my army green boots.

Layering is not a suprise trend for fall but its being featured on the runways and streets.

Layering in new ways is what its all about. Try layering cardigans, sweaters, or jackets over unexpected peices.

You might just like it.

I know im really late with posting.

These are some photos of an outfit I wore for a presentation.

I wanted to be professional but still cute and girly.

I added a pink top to break up the black, pink ballet flats, and a small bib necklace.

The necklace is chunky flowers.

Sorry about the bad quality.

And my mirror is dirty.

And of course for my presentation I switched to my heels=)

I have been wanting some printed pants like this for a while.

So when I found these island printed, silk pants at Good-Will I had to get them.

I sewed in an elastic band at the ankles so they would be more fitted and a straight leg look.

Well they were 4 dollars so either way it was a fun project.

This is how I styled it.

I love this dress. Super comfortable cotton. Type of dress to wear anywhere.

I paired it with a bunch of random silver jewelry.

Whats so Fashionable about it?

Pretty Casual

2012-07-26T09:30:00.001-07:00

I love the way these three colors work together:

Pink, Brown, and White.

I wore my pastel pink shirt with flutter ruffle sleeves,

white shorts, brown belt, and brown lace up boots

I hope to start taking better pictures again, it just takes a lot of time to set up my tripod and camera.

So these will have to do for now.

2012-07-14T12:26:00.002-07:00

Found these really cool shorts from Good Will while I was on summer vacation.

Someone must have made them because they added this awesome tropical print fabric.

Call me crazy but I just fell in love with them=)

Paired with a white tank. Very casual.

Wore it with my new fringe bag.

Again sorry for the iphone pics.

I just recently got it, and its so much easier for me to take photos this way.

Neon trims

2012-07-13T14:58:00.001-07:00

Sorry for the low quality post. I didn't have time to set up my tripod to take decent photos of my outfit so consider this "blogging on the go"

I love this super comfortable cotton top and paired it with khaki pants. Very fresh look.

This top has some great summer trends:

1.neon pink trim

2.peplum bottom

3.cut out back detail

T-Shirt Time

2012-07-10T12:19:00.000-07:00

I have been really lazy with blogging lately.

I had a great three week summer break and went back home.

Its nice to get away from school and the fashion world for a while=)

But I'm back and starting my second school year!

Lets kick it off with an outfit post.

I love this black T-shirt Dress. Why I love it?

-Cute Braided Belt

-Long enough to be worn as a dress

-Breast Pocket

-Super cute and comfortable

Midnight Ballet

2012-06-11T12:37:00.000-07:00

I hand painted a canvas bag with ballet slippers on one side

and on the other side I painted a large bow.

I added Studs along the trim and tied a ribbon around the handles.

This was for a final design project where my inspiration came from the elements of rock and ballet.

My collection is shown in the water color illustration I made, below.
