I had a discussion with my mother today about leading. I'm not sure how I feel about the word or concept. Group Lead is more along my lines, however people can not really fathom the idea.

People are expecting to have their hand lead, but that's only because of presense. All they have learned through our politics, media, sports, and just about everything else has perpetuated an idea that we need 1 leader for a group to make decisions. I kindly disagree.

We as humans are so far from our peak of spiritual conciousness. The evolution of our species is highly qualitative, but still marginal. The question I ask myself all the time is, "What is the human purpose"?

I must say that it is to engage and share experiences with other humans. This is the simple nature that we should live in, however we are taught to fend for ourselves and become these trained lemmings that need to survive. Nowhere it is shows that we shall work collectively to live sustainable with each other.

Darwinism is just like the bible in how you can take the context out of the true intentions.

Music Update : GZ, Dabooth.com, & More....

Goodfellaz was established in the summer of 2003, while Dave Golombos, Eric Eden, and I decided to make a hip-hop CD with our producer Jerzey Brown.

It was one of the most invigorating experiences in my life. The lyrics we wrote were kind of tactless, but had some catchy punch lines like,

"I treat my girls like beer pong and let the bitches blow"
Around the fall of 2007, I decided to take this a step further & create an audio production studio with my homeboy Andres @dabooth (http://www.dabooth.com). Social Media

Social Media as said by Wikipedia

"Social media is online content created by people using highly accessible and scalable publishing technologies. Social media is a shift in how people discover, read and share news, information and content;. It's a fusion of sociology and technology, transforming monologues (one to many) into dialogues (many to many) and is the democratization of information, transforming people from content readers into publishers. Social media has become extremely popular because it allows people to connect in the online world to form relationships for personal, political and business use. Businesses also refer to social media as user-generated content (UGC) or consumer-generated media (CGM)."

I agree on many levels, however everyone is still looking to monetize everything. Haven't we discovered by now that money is useless and a pure poison to our entire civilization? Companies like google are empowering individuals and groups to collaborate at the same speed as any corporation who's incentive is to dominate the market.

This fusion discussed in the Wiki excerpt fails to recognize the sense of Quantum Mechanics involved. My personal theory, which I will write and share in the future, is the relationships between the internet & Quantum Mechanics.

Furthermore, these conversations are transforming into a real-time dimension of realization. Does this make sense? If not, lets take this Iranian war for instance. The only thing the people have to survive without becoming beasts is their connectivity with the world through social media via the internet. This then creates a dimension for 'now-thought' which has never happened in the past because our communication has always been filtered.

Now, this brings up the conversation of freedom. The internet has enveloped this idea of freedom to be truly expressed. However, we have some guys that think the internet should be governed & unequal.

We need to use this information to create sustainability for mankind. Not just a couple greedy bankers. As presented by a friend John Lee Blackwell.

Please give me your thoughts. Lets just have a conversation :)

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://princeus.blogspot.com/2009/07/what-people-do-not-get-about-social.html" title="What people do not get about.... It is a very exciting time and I am looking forward to the journey.

http://www.facebook.com/username/

2nd Heat

This is my 2nd heat and I am off to the races.

blogging will be back

sharing is eminent

gratitude is life

Looking forward to sharing the rest.

We have been at a break for a minute since the 'team' per se has been developed. Maybe you should too?!

----------------

1. My middle name comes from my Grandma Pracilla "princess" Cabrera?

2. My family has shown me the world, literally... I have 5-6 Potential sets of different grand parents... THey come from the Phillipines, Germany, Florida, Massachussetts, California, and I still have yet to find more. Plus the majority loves having children, so we multiply by the day.

3. I love the internet. It was 1990 when my dad set the computer up with an internet connection at my grandma's house in LA. It was called Imagination Networks, an online platform where you could connect with people around the world. It was kinda like the sims/facebook retro style. Yahoo was around and I could search on EVERYTHING. mIRC was my playground of thinking I was in the movie 'hackers'.

4. i don't know what I beleive in

5. I wish to speak another language, but I have yet to understand English

6. Nine Inch Nails & Marilyn Manson were my favorite groups in 7th grade.

7. i have 2 dads and it's really dope

8. I would do ANYTHING for my friends and family. I think they know this.

9. Music can last a lifetime, but a lifestyme can not last music.

10. Several nick names. they all kinda have their own charachter that i'm going to put in a movie someday. chedda bouch, mongoose, boucher, waterboy, zcoolx, booger boucher, chinkabator, bouch, and i'm sure there's a couple more.

11. entrepreneur since birth. I sold pogs in 3rd - 5th grade, flipped baseball cards 4th - 6th, sold hemp clothes in school and made custom t-shirts for rival HS games, and I made sure that everyone at La Salle could come out to the bars!!!!! ;)

12. In college I played this game Counter-Strike for over 18 hours straight at one point. I didn't leave the room for over 48 hours.

13. Work/Living the NYC nightlife for 6 months was a pretty interesting gig. A Promoters movie would be a great story.

14. was my sports # in HS & College.

15. I mean well in 99% of the things I do. Sometimes you have that animal instinct. haha.

16. I see the big picture, then I break it down into the peices, then I realize there are so many peices, so I become confused.

17. I guess I'm a hopeless romantic, so I've been told.

18. Late bloomer, for sure.

19. Instead of buying a new car when an rewarded for my hard work, I'm gonna pimp out my green audi a6 and throw an eco-engine in there with some black hemp-platic 19's and organic plastic tires. hollla back.

20. It is so amazing to realize that you know so much, then at the same time realize that you know nothing.

21. Learning & collaborating are my full intentions

22. world peace anyone? love the earth.

23. yay obama! but thats over.. it's time for US to lead. He got our spirits up, his job is done. Do your job as a citizen and find out how you can help your local PEOPLE to make the change YOU want. That is the only way to change whats really going on. Join your COMMUNITY.

24.I wish I did everything I said. Sooner than later and more each day.

25. happened to inspire me before I could myself. Thanks Jeff!

It is not necessarily a generational gap that define the perception and conception of the poke. I have found it more of a social thing like you say.

The spring of 2004 is when I opened my facebook account because La Salle was not an influencer in this future bandwaggon. When you looked at everyones profile there was always this poke option, which obviously for the college demographic was a way to FLIRT or JOKE with your friends & associates, especially since at that time you could only look at people in your own network.

I felt like this was the prequel to an internet conversation that you were too embarrassed to engage, thus allowing the 'pokee' to qualify you as 'whatever' would engage them to you.

After I graduated and Facebook opened up to the WORLD, then this poking feature seemed to make much more sense. I was opened to engage with people without even having to say a word.

Unfortunately, we do live in a very homophobic society, so poking males in my personal opinion would not work because there is a perception to this tactic. On the other hand, poking a professional woman could come off as inappropriate like you are trying to hit on this educated woman, instantaneously tarnishing the potential relationship.

Anyhow, I feel version 1.0 of poking will step up. Twitter has the nudge, though I have not heard much about it or even used it. I will still continue to grow my poking skills this 09'. GOod luck!

Writing Pains

I am sure you can tell by now, but my writing is average at best. Growing up I never completed a full book until I was in college. Senior year to be precise. For some reason I didn't think it was necessary because of my personal notion that "information is always on the internet", then I learned Einstein said, "Information is not knowledge." Although I think he did not realize this whole social networking phenomenon.

Social relationships could not be analyzed from a large scale process. The internet has changed the game with seamless synergy. Thus, my new approach of interactive learning has discovered that information has evolved into knowledge. A quantum thought.

These beliefs that my parents DID NOT support, somehow Benjamin Buttoned their way into my life. Which I am very fortunate of :)

Anyhow, my point being is that I want to write better, so I will focus on my thoughts and deliver value from my heart.

With love, the future, and a hope that in a couple months when I read the previous posts I can smile with conversations!

Cheers.

1. to spread ideas
2. to put my ideas out there and get them out of the way of the next idea
3. to encourage people to add alacrity to their diet
Seth Godin: My blogging life is basically goalless. I like the zen nature of that, and paradoxically, it improves results.

An interesting fact, for what it's worth: Monday seems to be a good day to post a really viral idea

The real bottom line is that, like Godin, you have to love writing, sharing information, and conversation to sustain an effective blog over a period of time. Writing short and tight is icing on the cake. Add a dose of respect, goodwill, and trust, and you're good to go.

Thanks!

The Difference between Focusing on Problems and Focusing on Solutions

Case 1

When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens wouldn't work

at zero gravity (ink won't flow down to the writing surface). To solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million.

They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface

including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C. And what did the Russians do...??

They used a pencil...

Case 2

One of the most memorable case studies on Japanese management was the case of the empty soap box,

which happened in one of Japan 's biggest cosmetics companies. The company

received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soap box that was empty.

Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly line, which

transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department.

For some reason, one soap box went through the assembly line empty. Management

asked its engineers to solve the problem. Post-haste, the engineers worked hard to devise

an X-ray machine with high-resolution monitors manned by two people to watch all the soap boxes that passed

through the line to make sure they were not empty. No doubt, they worked hard and they worked fast but

they spent a whoopee amount to do so.

But when a rank-and-file employee in a small company was posed with the same problem,

he did not get into complications of X-rays, etc., but instead came out with another solution.

He bought a strong industrial electric fan and pointed it at the assembly line. He switched the fan on,

and as each soap box passed the fan, it simply blew the empty boxes out of the line.

Moral

Always look for simple solutions. Devise the simplest possible solution that solves the problems :-)

LET’S LEARN TO FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS, NOT ON PROBLEMS.
