There’s no getting around it. In this world, you’re better off being good-looking. At all ages and in all walks of life, attractive people are judged more favourably, treated better, and cut more slack. Mothers give more affection to attractive babies. Teachers favour more attractive students and judge them as smarter. Attractive adults get paid more for their work and have better success in dating and mating. And juries are less likely to find attractive people guilty and recommend lighter punishments when they do. (Psychological Science: Beauty is in the Mind of the Beholder)

Beauty is one of the world’s greatest motivations. Men and women struggle to be attractive since this world is a visual world and what you see (especially if it is pleasing to the eyes), is the one that you want to get.

Being beautiful has so many advantages. A recent study of the University of Texas-Austin found that attractive people are generally happier and make more money than their mediocre-looking counterparts. But the irony of it all is not everyone can be born with great genes as well as with a beautiful face. However, there are still things that can be controlled in order to beautify those flaws on our face and body. Make up and beauty treatments are the solutions.

Today’s post is all about beauty treatments that many women (and even men) had been through just to be attractive. Sad to say, all of these treatments that I will mention are considered bizarre and even dangerous by many medical practitioners in lab coats and scrubs Landau. Check this out.

Let’s Start With the Upper Portion of the Body:

Hair:

Brazilian Blowouts

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued a Hazard Alert for people working with the products because of the dangers associated with exposure to the chemical formaldehyde. During the renaissance period, men and women alike removed unwanted hair with homemade depilatory creams containing severe abrasives like quicklime and arsenic to burn off unwanted hair. Then, in the 1940's due to wartime scarcity, women used sandpaper to eliminate hair from their bodies.

Fat for Baldness

Fat was the fad with the ancient Greeks. Rancid fat from human and animals as well as other nauseating substances (urine, menstrual blood, feces, etc.) were said to treat everything from the common cold to baldness. Folklore has it that men used the fat of animals to make a paste and would slather it on to promote hair growth.

Face:

Eyebrow Waxes

Repeated waxing is said to cause permanent damage to the hair follicles so that, over time, the hairs stop growing. Other risks or eyebrow waxing includes "burns from wax that is too hot, skin peeled off from waxing that is too vigorous and infections after waxing when bacteria may get into microscopically traumatized skin."

Facials

A careless facial performed by an untrained technician can result in serious problems, such as infections or skin that is literally burned off.

Bird poop facial

A Japanese powder made from songbird feces, was used by 18th century geishas and kabuki actors to wipe the heavy white makeup off their faces. The droppings are rich in the amino acid guanine and are said to impart a soft, porcelain-white appearance. A favorite of Victoria Beckham’s, a Shizuka NY Geisha Facial involves slathering your face in bird poop for fifty minutes at $180 a pop. It is said that it brightens and softens the complexion with the birds poop natural enzymes.

Snake-venom wrinkle cream

A replica of viper’s venom may be a little less natural than anything else on this list, but it's by no means any less astonishing. Syn-Ake is the key constituent of UltraLuxe 9, an anti-aging potion by Beverly Hills dermatologist Sonya Dakar, whose A-list clientele includes Drew Barrymore, Fergie, Ben Kingsley, and Gwyneth Paltrow. The $185-per-ounce cream works by blocking the neurotransmitters that tell muscles to contract, just not on a level that leaves you completely paralyzed.

Gold face mask

Originated by Japanese company UMO, the Midas facial involves gilding your face with gold leaf (24 karat), which is said to diminish wrinkles and fine lines, stimulate cell growth, lighten age spots, and revitalize your face.

Kohl for Make-up

When it comes to lead or heavy metal poisoning for the sake of beauty, it's hard to beat the Egyptians. Both men and women wore Kohl (a mixture of soot and galena, a dark grey lead) and copper ore to color their eyes. They lined their lids daily with this mixture as it served spiritual and aesthetic purposes. Low levels of lead exposure like this over a long period of time can cause seizures, coma, and death.

Animals and Chemicals for Red Lips

If you wanted a luscious red pouty lip, you could act like an Egyptian, Cleopatra for that matter, and crush up some ants, add in some beetle blood and beeswax and be set for a hot night out. Or you could create a mixture of red clay, iron oxide (rust), henna, seaweed, iodine and bromine mannite, which is extremely poisonous that it could result in serious or fatal illness to both the woman wearing it and her makeout partner.

Ear Candles

Ear candles are 10-inch-long, hollow cones that are burned in the ear to supposedly remove wax, impurities and toxins while improving hearing. Aimee Adams, a celeb make-up artist with clients that have included Madonna, Sienna Miller, and Rachel Weisz, swears by it.

Ramen Noodles

Tips suggested using white lead to create a fashionably white complexion and to cover any sores. The use of lead to powder the face poisoned and killed many, yet pale faces continued to be a huge trend. Some women in the sixth century even resorted to bleeding themselves to achieve that lovely alabaster glow.

Feet and Nails:

Pedicures

An unsanitary pedicure could lead a viral infection (such as warts), bacterial infections from ingrown toenails and aggressive filing, or a fungal infection of the skin and nails, among other serious health problems, says Jackie Sutera, a New York City podiatrist.

Manicures

Manicures have many dangers. You can get fungal infections, bacterial infections and permanent nail disfigurement depending on what happens to you there.

Gel Manicures

Initially research on the popular gel manicure treatments has found that the UV-A nail lights used throughout the process could possibly contribute to risk factors for skin cancer, according to research published in the Archives of Dermatology. Certain gel procedures may also be counterfeit, some experts warn, causing serious health problems.

Fish pedicure

This fish pedicure is a kind of exfoliation treatment that uses the toothless chompers of tiny carp, known as Garra rufa, to nibble away at dead, flaking skin. However, according to PETA, "confining thousands of fish to a tiled pool in a beauty salon—in 94°F water—is anything but harmony with nature! In fact, it's exceptionally cruel," it notes in action alert. "Furthermore, these fish's lives are very much at risk. In fact, 7,000 of these helpless animals were reportedly cooked to death recently after an Yvonne Salon staff member left the heat on in the animals' tub." It should also be warned that regulators in many US states have banned fish pedicures for being unsanitary, since the same fish feed on many customers.

Bizarre Fads and Trends

Humans hate boredom. Maybe one of the reasons is that we are made to be active, to do something and to achieve our potential as a person. No wonder that lately there are numerous recreations that we can find on the web that keeps other people busy on their daily living. Somehow these became fads and internet sensations that people are crazy about. Check this out.

Planking

Planking mimics the wooden planks rigidity through lying down. It is a creative activity that consists of lying your face down in an unusual location. The hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an essential part of this pastime. On May 29 2011, Max Key, son of New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, uploaded a photograph to Facebook of himself planking on a lounge suite, his father standing behind him. After the photograph was reproduced on the front page of the New Zealand Herald two days later, the Prime Minister's office initially declined comment, but later that day, confirming that the photograph was indeed genuine, Mr. Key remarked that he doesn't see anything wrong with planking when done safely, and that it was he who had actually introduced Max to planking in the first place, having seen a video of the phenomenon on YouTube.

This fad was criticized due to its similarity with the slave trade-era practice and manner of stowing African slaves upon the planks of a slave ship's lower hold, as illustrated in the Brookes abolitionist poster imagery. It is also unusually hazardous to some especially that there are cases back from September 2009 that seven doctors and nurses that usually have home medical equipment and medical products working at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, England were suspended for playing the lying down game while on duty. On 15 May 2011, Acton Beale, a 20-year-old man, plunged to his death after reportedly "planking" on a seventh-floor balcony in Brisbane, Australia.

Teapotting

With its 6220 fans on Facebook, teapotting is one of the variations that arose shortly after planking went viral. This activity consists of a teapot post or bending the arms in a shape of a teapot in reference to the children's song and dance "I'm a Little Teapot". This variation was created by psychology teachers Alison Coate and Olivia Campbell in Mortlake College as an attempt to create a new fad after viewing the amount of attention planking received. Unlike planking teapotting is not death defying and still there are no records of death till now.

Balling

Balling is an activity of people posing for photos wrapped up in a ball. This is another trend that came out after planking. You can actually do it on desks, chairs and anywhere as long as it’s safe.

Owling

Owling is a variation on planking in which a person squats "like an owl" in unusual places. It consists of nothing more taxing than crouching on one's haunches and staring into the middle distance, like an owl. It was first documented on July 11, 2011 in a post on the social news website Reddit.

Batting

Batting, is hanging your body upside down like a bat and folding your arms in a V-shape onto the waist. I actually want this pose to be printed through digitizing service on one of my shirts.

Horsemanning

This is another pose that I want to be printed on one of my t-shirts through digitizing service aside from batting. Horsemanning is a revival of a photography fad in the 1920's wherein it involves posing two people so that they appear to be a single body with a detached head. It is thought that the name comes from the Headless Horseman in Washington Irving's short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The objective of horsemanning is to make it appear that the photo’s subject has been beheaded.

Leisure Dive

This is the leap and splash "mid dive" photography fad. Invented by John Lewis and Alex Scott, it started on the LeisureDive.com last July 1, 2011. Within the month, a million people had visited. I guess, home medical equipment and medical products could be use here if ever you don’t know how to dive or swim, eh.

A leisure dive is a jump into a body of water (or at least something soft), striking a ‘leisure pose’ in mid-air. Ideally, a photographer captures the moment when the diver has reached peak height above water, when his or her hips are parallel to the waterline. Oh, and Leisure Dives are actual dives, not superimposed images. That would be so much less cool.

A recent study found that people who wear visible designer logos are perceived to be more capable and valuable than those who wear middle-of-the-road duds. A new piece of research confirms what many, not least in the marketing departments of fashion houses, will long have suspected, that it is not the design itself that counts, but the label.

Researchers at Tilburg University in the Netherlands showed subjects two videos of the same guy wearing a polo shirt on a job interview. In one clip, the shirt had a designer logo and in the other, his shirt had no logo. The subjects rated the man with the luxury shirt "more suitable for the job". And they suggested a salary that was nine percent higher than the salary they recommend for the dude without the logo.

Come to think of it, you need to have wardrobes with labels of the famous clothing designers just to have the perfect job for you. That means you must budget your money more on your clothes and even for the digitizing service of those famous logos of apparel.

Crazy for diamonds? Well, how about a diamond contact lens to add on your collection?

You've read it right; a diamond contact is already in the market nowadays. I can't even believe about this not until I read the article from YahooShine asking its readers if they want to try a diamond contact lens. Consequently, upon reading this, I can't fight the urged to search for contacts and if diamond contact lens could really be a good idea, maybe aesthetically, yes, but I guess, it's unhealthy for our eyes and we end up looking for ophthalmologists in discounted scrubs and eye chart.

What is a contact lens?

According from Mr. Wiki, a contact lens is a corrective, cosmetic, or therapeutic lens usually placed on the cornea of the eye. The first man to introduce the concept of contacts was the famous Leonardo Da Vinci and was developed by many marketers and inventors as time passed by. And now, we have what we call contact lens in varieties of colors and designs just like the designs of shirts in digitizing services.

Advantages

1. Practicality/Health Purposes

When compared with eyeglasses, contact lenses are less affected by wet weather, do not steam up, and provide a wider field of vision. They are more suitable for a number of sporting activities. Additionally, ophthalmological conditions such as keratoconus and aniseikonia may not be accurately corrected with spectacles. Above all, compared with eyeglasses, contact lenses generally offer better sight.

2. Appearance

Contact lenses move with your eye, allow a natural field of view, have no frames to obstruct your vision and greatly reduce distortions. They do not fog up, like glasses, nor do they get splattered by mud or rain. Also, numerous people feel they look better in contact lenses.

Problems associated with contact lens wear may affect the eyelid, the conjunctiva, the various layers of the cornea, and even the tear film that covers the outer surface of the eye. The Rise of the Metrosexuals and Pretty Boys

When you go shopping to a mall or a clothing store or to a medical scrubs store if you are a nurse or medical personnel with medical instruments, did you ever observe that many of the customers and buyers are not just consist of female but of men also? And when you look outside and all around you, did you ever observe that like women, men also have a high sense of fashion nowadays? Now, if you don't know about this, you might not heard of the word “metrosexual” yet.

A straight man that spends a lot of time and money on shopping for his appearance is called a metrosexual. Metrosexual is more associated with being a consumer rather than sexuality. According to Mark Simpson, the one who coined the word “metrosexual”, a metrosexual man is found everywhere and he’s going shopping.

Along with being metrosexual is believed to have a narcissistic persona, which comes from the Greek mythology character Narcissus who fell in love with his own self upon seeing his reflection on the water. Thus, metrosexual men could be considered men who love themselves to the extent that they want to really look good and the best in every facets of their being. This is of course a part of vanity of men, eh.

Another word that could define the shopping spree of many men today is übersexual, which comes from the book “Future of Men”. Übersexual is a degree of greatness and perfection, an acknowledgment that this is an evolved species of man—he is so perfect as to leave little margin for error and fallacy." So perfect that it’s hard to find flaws on his appearance from head to toe, even the trace of a messy hair, which is a common sight to men and masculinity.

Gone are the days of real man, macho type,strong,brawny and sweaty men such as Chuck Norris. :)

Before, when we think of a man or masculinity as "avoidance of femininity; restricted emotions; sex disconnected from intimacy; pursuit of achievement and status; self-reliance; strength and aggression; and homophobia," yet now, many men are “decidedly single, definitely urban, dreadfully uncertain of their identity (hence the emphasis on pride and the susceptibility to the latest label) and socially emasculated, gay men pioneered the business of accessorising—and combining—masculinity and desirability."

"Gay or straight? Hard to Tell," the fact that women buy less of men's clothing than they used to has, more than any other factor, propelled men into stores to shop for themselves. "In 1985 only 25 percent of all men's apparel was bought by men, he said; 75 percent was bought by women for men. By 1998 men were buying 52 percent of apparel; in 2004 that number grew to 69 percent and shows no sign of slowing."

At present, men cared about what and how they look, similar to women, but according to Simpson, metrosexual are different form homosexual for the latter connotes sexuality preference while the former is more on consumerism.

My question however is; is this attitude normal for real men? Or do they need men in medical scrubs with medical instruments to cure them? Or it is just the society that judge the concept of the borderline between masculinity and feminity and what women must do that men must not do or vice versa?

But upon looking on the list, I researched some celebrities that have metrosexual tendencies and here is what I’ve got. Take a look:

“We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.”

I have been thinking about the topic of my post today for a couple of months already, but I can't find the right time to do this post since I had been very busy on teaching as well as learning some SEO stuffs. But, while browsing some blogs today, I happened to encounter a blog about kids, thus encouraging me to go on with my plan with regards to this post.

Ever encounter a kid so beautiful and fashionable that he/she made you swoon? Personally speaking, I had been encountering some of these kiddos and what really make them beautiful and adorable are there innocent beauties. However, there are also children that already pass through the knife and surgical instruments of people wearing lab coats and scrub uniforms. Thus making their innocent faces into a not that natural one. One example of this is South Dakota first grader, Samantha Shaw who with the help of Dr. Steven Pearlman of the Little Baby Face Foundation gets the treatment necessary to fix her ears. And what is her reason? It is in order for other children to stop bullying at her appearance. Whew! This child had already been thinking about that, huh.

Well, it’s uncommon for children to think about beauty at a very young age, but on parents it is so natural. Some parents dream about their children to have a pretty face and style that people will gonna envy them. Parents want the best for their children, right? Even to the extent of injecting Botox on your own child, eh. Just like the single mom Kerry Campbell, a beautician let Britney, her child that once every three months she prepares needles of Botox and fillers to be injected into her child's face. You see, Britney joins in a pageant that’s why she needs to be pretty and gorgeous even sacrificing her young skin. Kerry further said that "I know one day she will be a model, actress or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer.” The beauty-pageant obsessed single mum also takes her to have her body waxed, in a bizarre bid to stop her growing hair when she eventually hits puberty. "All I want is for Britney to have the best start in life, so it is easier for her to become a superstar.” And she even encouraged mothers to do this unto their daughters too. "When she's a superstar earning millions, she'll always be grateful for what I did when she was so young."

Meanwhile Britney, her child said, “my friends think it's cool I have all the treatments and they want to be like me. I check every night for wrinkles, when I see some I want more injections. They used to hurt, but now I don't cry that much. I also want a boob and nose job soon, so that I can be a star." OMG, what will happen to our next generation, eh?

Writing about this topic, is a little bit depressing, for I am beginning to think that as the generation passes and another generation begins, people are becoming more and more vain even those children that must first prioritize play rather than their appearances and school rather than the surgeon’s in lab coats and scrub uniforms office. Anyway, here I’ll post some of the most beautiful and stylish kiddos that we have in this generation. A little warning though, some of their apparels are not that child friendly, eh.

This is in accordance with the news from London's Telegraph. In fact, Djokovic is said to be very upset that he can't bring his pet, Pierre and considers this situation a very serious issue. Whew! Indeed, the truth of the famous adage, dogs are man's best friend could be seen here. Guess he needed aid from people in nursing scrubs and nursing shoes in order for him to be stress free.hehe. Just kidding.

As a part of being grateful for making this blog from pr0 to sudden pr3, I will post today, the vanity of man when it comes to their bestfriends from the animal world- the dogs. Men are generally a being for pleasure and for love. No wonder that many people adopt different pets, since pets will give you both pleasure and love without asking for anything in return. Dogs, specifically will even consider their caregivers (not men and women in nursing shoes and nursing scrubs but their owners) as their masters. Furthermore, they consider their masters as their gods. This post is for the vanity of humanity when it comes to the most beautiful dogs we want to have (if you are a dog lover). Here are some breeds of dogs you can’t resist to bring home with you.

Lhasa Apso- This breed of dog was bred as an interior sentinel in the Buddhist monasteries, who alerted the monks to any intruders who entered. Lhasa is the capital city of Tibet and apso is a word in the Tibetan language meaning "bearded," so Lhasa Apso simply means "long-haired Tibetan dog."

Beagle- Beagle is a breed of small to medium-sized dog. Has a similar in appearance to the Foxhound but smaller, with shorter legs and longer, softer ears. Beagles are scent hounds, developed primarily for tracking hare, rabbit, and other game. They are intelligent, and are popular as pets because of their size, even temper, and lack of inherited health problems.

Basset- Basset is a short-legged breed of dog of the hound family. They are scent hounds, bred to hunt rabbits by scent. The name Basset is derived from the French word bas, meaning "low", with the attenuating suffix -et, together meaning "rather low". Basset hounds are commonly brown and black and most often spotted, but also exist in a variety of colors.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel- Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a small breed of Spaniel-type dog, and is classed as a toy dog by most kennel clubs. It is one of the most popular breeds in the United Kingdom. It is a smaller breed of spaniel, and Cavalier adults are often the same size as adolescent dogs of other spaniel breeds. It has a silky coat and commonly an undocked tail.The breed is generally friendly, affectionate and good with both children and other animals.

Yorkshire Terrier- Yorkshire terrier is a small dog breed of terrier type, developed in the 19th century in the historical area of Yorkshire, England to catch rats in clothing mills. The breed is nicknamed Yorkie though it is a terrier.

Miniature Schnauzer- Miniature Schnauzer is a breed of small dog of the Schnauzer type that originated in Germany in the mid-to-late 19th century. Miniature Schnauzers developed from crosses between the Standard Schnauzer and one or more smaller breeds such as the Poodle and Affenpinscher. The breed remains one of the most popular world wide, primarily for its temperament and relatively small size.

Welsh Corgi- A small type of herding dog that originated in Wales. Two distinct breeds are recognized: the Pembroke Welsh corgi and the Cardigan Welsh corgi, with the Pembroke being the more common. Corgis are healthy dogs, living into their early or middle teens; however, both do suffer from a few hereditary diseases.

French Bulldog- French bulldog is a small companion breed of dog, related to the English bulldog and American bulldog. The name suggests France as the origin of the breed; The dogs are commonly called the Frenchie and are nicknamed "clowns" and "frog dogs".

Pekingese- The Pekingese, Pekinese or "Peke" is an ancient breed of toy dog, originating in China. They were the favored pet of the Chinese Imperial court, and the name relates to the city of Beijing where the Forbidden City resides. The breed has several characteristics and health issues related to its unique appearance.

Chihuahua- The smallest breed of dog and is so named for the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. Chihuahuas come in a wide variety of sizes, head shapes, colors and coat lengths.

Shar Pei- Shar Pei, or Chinese Shar-Pei, is a breed of dog known for its distinctive features of deep wrinkles and a blue-black tongue. The breed comes from China. As puppies, Shar Pei have numerous wrinkles, but as they mature, these wrinkles disappear as they "grow into their skin". Shar Pei were in 1978 named as the world's rarest dog breeds by Time magazine and the Guinness Book of World Records, and the American Kennel Club did not recognize the breed until 1991.

Pug- Pug is a "toy" (very small) breed of dog with a wrinkly, short-muzzled face, and curled tail. The breed has a fine, glossy coat that comes in a variety of colors, and a compact square body with well-developed muscle. They have been described as multum in parvo ("much in little"), referring to the pug's personality and small size.

Turkmen Alabai- A molosser of very ancient origins, originating in Turkmenistan. This dog may reach 90 kg (200 lb), and be over 80 cm (31 in) tall at the withers. Its main function is to protect livestock from predators. In Russia, it has earned the nickname of "volkodav" ("wolf crusher").

Irish setter- Irish Setter, also known as the Red Setter, is a setter, a breed of gundog and family dog. The term Irish Setter is commonly used to encompass the show-bred dog recognized by the American Kennel Club as well as the field-bred Red Setter recognised by the Field Dog Stud Book.

Collie- Collie is a distinctive type of herding dog, including many related landraces and formal breeds. It originates in Scotland and Northern England. It is a medium-sized, fairly lightly built dog with a pointed snout, and many types have a distinctive white pattern over the shoulders. Collies are very active and agile, and most types have a very strong herding instinct.

Afghan Hound- Afghan Hound is one of the oldest sighthound dog breeds. Distinguished by its thick, fine, silky coat and its tail with a ring curl at the end, the breed acquired its unique features in the cold mountains of Afghanistan, where it was originally used to hunt hares and gazelles by coursing them.

Borzoi- Borzoi is a breed of domestic dog also called the Russian wolfhound and descended from dogs brought to Russia from central Asian countries. It is similar in shape to a greyhound, and is also a member of the sighthound family.

Chow Chow- Chow chow is a breed of dog that was developed in China, where it is referred to as Songshi Quan, which literally means "puffy-lion dog". The chow is a sturdily built dog, square in profile, with a broad skull and small, triangular, erect ears, rounded at the tips. The breed has a very dense double coat that can be either smooth or rough. The fur is particularly thick around the neck, giving the distinctive ruff or mane appearance.

Coton de Tulear- Coton de Tuléar is a small breed of dog. It is named for the city of Tuléar in Madagascar and its cotton textured coat.

American Eskimo- American Eskimo Dog is a breed of companion dog originating in Germany. Despite its name and appearance, the American Eskimo dog is not from Alaska; the dog's heritage is traced back to Northern Europe. The breed's progenitors were German Spitz, but due to anti-German prejudice during the First World War, it was renamed "American Eskimo Dog". In addition to serving as a watchdog and companion, the American Eskimo dog also achieved a high degree of popularity in the 1930s and 1940s United States as a circus performer.

Doberman- The Doberman Pinscher or simply Doberman, is a breed of domestic dog originally developed around 1890 by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann. Dobermann Pinschers are among the most common of pet breeds, and the breed is well known as an intelligent, alert, and loyal companion dog.

Samoyed- The Samoyed dog takes its name from the Samoyedic peoples of Siberia. An alternate name for the breed, especially in Europe, is Bjelkier. These nomadic reindeer herders bred the fluffy, white dogs to help with the herding, to pull sleds when they moved.

Akita- Akita Inu is a Japanese breed of large dog. Named for Akita Prefecture, where it is thought to have originated, it is sometimes called the Akita-ken based on the Sino-Japanese reading of the same kanji. In most countries it is considered a separate breed from the American Akita and is also colloquially known as the "Japanese Akita". "Inu" means "dog."

Australian Kelpie- The Kelpie is an Australian sheep dog successful at mustering and droving with little or no command guidance. They are medium-sized dogs and come in a variety of colours. Kelpies have been exported throughout the world and are used to muster livestock, primarily sheep, cattle and goats.

Shetland Sheepdog- Shelties have the herding dog temperament. They are vocal, excitable, energetic dogs who are always willing to please and work hard. They are partly derived from dogs used in Shetland for herding and protecting sheep.

Alaskan Malamute- The Alaskan Malamute is a generally large, wolf-like breed of domestic dog originally bred for use as an Alaskan sled dog. They are sometimes mistaken for a Siberian Husky, but in fact are quite different in many ways. As pets, Malamutes have a very quiet temperament and are often loyal to their owners.

Labrador Retriever- The Labrador Retriever is one of several kinds of retriever, a type of gun dog. A breed characteristic is webbed paws for swimming, useful for the breed's original purpose of retrieving fishing nets. It is one of the most popular assistance dog breeds in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States and many other countries, as well as being widely used by police and other official bodies for their detection and working abilities. Typically, Labradors are athletic and love to swim, play catch and retrieve games, are good with young children, and for protection.

Australian Shepherd- Australian shepherd is a breed of herding dog that was developed on ranches in the Western United States. Maltese- Maltese is a small breed of dog in the toy group. The breed is descended from dogs originating in the Central Mediterranean Area. The breed name and origins are generally understood to derive from the Mediterranean island of Malta; however, the name is sometimes described with reference to the Adriatic island of Mljet, or a defunct Sicilian town called Melita.

Golden Retriever- Golden Retriever is a medium-sized breed of dog. As such, they were bred to have a soft mouth to retrieve game undamaged and have an instinctive love of water.

German Shepherd- The German Shepherd Dog is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany.The German Shepherd is a relatively new breed of dog, with its origin dating to 1899. As part of the Herding Group, the German Shepherd is a working dog developed originally for herding and guarding sheep. Because of its strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training it is often employed in police and military roles around the world. Due to its loyal and protective nature, the German Shepherd is one of the most registered of breeds.

Pomeranian- The Pomeranian is a breed of dog of the Spitz type, named for the Pomerania region in Central Europe. Classed as a toy dog breed because of its small size, the Pomeranian is descended from the larger Spitz type dogs, specifically the German Spitz.

Poodles- The Standard Poodle is regarded as the second most intelligent breed of dog after the Border Collie, and before the German Shepherd Dog. The poodle breed is found officially in toy, miniature, and standard sizes, with many coat colors. Originally bred as a type of water dog, the poodle is skillful in many dog sports, including agility, obedience, tracking, and even herding.

As I browse the web today and read the news all over the globe, I happened to read an article on Time.com about a shirt that could improve our posture. Well, I became curious and suddenly interested that I read the whole article and realized that it is a review of the California-based company called Alignmed, which developed a line of garments being used by professional athletes, MS patients, back-pain sufferers and others to treat and prevent injuries and aches. Alignmed is launching a $95 T-shirt (too expensive) that is called the Posture Shirt, which is designed not only for athletes but also for office workers.

According to Time.com:

...sewn into the Posture Shirt are elastic bands that start at the shoulders and stretch toward the center of the back. The bands have the effect of rolling your shoulders down and rearward, helping give you that sit-up-straight posture. Furthermore, such posture is important in preventing back pain and sports injuries. he Posture Shirt works by helping you pull your shoulder blades and chest muscles into a proud position. That position keeps you from arching and overstretching the muscles at the back of your spine.

However, Dr. Thomas Gill IV, chief of sports medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston was doubtful whether the Posture Shirt could assist a professional athlete. “These sorts of garments are really not going to have an effect on an athlete. With the amount of muscle training and strength they develop, to think a garment would change the resting position of the scapula … It's just too far beneath the skin of these athletes to make a difference.”

This post may look and sound like NSFW (not safe for work) but I don’t know how to make this safe and clean as I really mean it.

Ever heard or seen a brassiere? Silly question, but I just wanna make sure that you know the ordinary bra, as it is. Brassiere, which is commonly referred as bra is an undergarment that covers, supports, and elevates the breasts. Since the late 19th century, it has replaced the corset as the most widely accepted method for supporting breasts. Many women nowadays wear bras. There are a lot of shops and stores that sells varieties of bra in the market. Some businesses and jobs also require their employees to wear undergarments and brassieres. In fact, even if the medical industry is said to be governed by scientific facts, for instance, most hospitals won't allow nurses, doctors, or any other health care employee to work without bras under their medical scrubs. The dress code requires them to wear undergarments, even if they will just have to throw scrub jackets or lab coats over their medical scrubs.

Nevertheless, there are still some women groups that are against the use of bra. One of the reasons is due to health speculations that bras can keep breasts artificially in high temperatures, linking it to increased risk of developing breast cancer, much like how rise in temperature affects the testicles. Some refuse to put on bras because they are not comfortable with it.

David Beckham, having the team wear #23, who plays as a midfielder on the football world , the husband of the former Spice Girls' member Victoria “Posh” Beckham, a fashion icon, and a hairstyle innovator is not only known for these things but also for his body tattoos. Different sources have different counts of how many are his tattoos, though I’m sure that he has many on his arms and he has one on his neck.

Nonetheless, these numbers of tattoos he had will be added by another tattoo on his left chest. On his Facebook page last Saturday, he revealed his three-month-old ink, a courtesy of L.A. tattoo artist Mark Mahoney, together with a video message explaining the meaning behind his tattoo.

"It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are boys," he says, referring to sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. "My thought of it is, at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture.”

His latest body art, though had already received criticisms and disapproval saying that he had gone too far, on depicting Christ as him, considering that he is not even a Christian. Let me quote from the bigleadsports, one of the blogs that spoke rants about his tattoo.

Hairstyle speaks for itself. We may not notice it but some hairstyles terribly turns us on and some are just not worth a second glance at all. Just for instance the hairstyle of Justin Bieber, which according to some sources costs for at least $750 per cut. That's a lot of money considering that I could buy an Apple iPad with that amount.

But, setting aside the sum of his haircut, I guess the hairstyle of Justin Bieber is somehow iconic already. Lately, Manny Pacquiao gave me a glimpse of how Bieber had affected not just the music industry but even the world of people who are in athletic wear.

This is the question that drive my attention while I was browsing the net today. Facial services are common nowadays and many people, women and even men are trying to see what will be the changes and improvements of their faces when they tried to have a facial service.

But do facials worth our money? Or it's just a waste of our bucks?

Personally speaking, I can always say that facials can be considered as extravagance, thus my opinion is that facial is not worth my money. It's just a waste. However with so many vain people nowadays, they will always declare that facials are necessary and it is worth the money they spent.

STEAMING. “If pores are clogged, steaming lets you clean out dirt without excessive pressure, which can cause inflammation,” says Amy B. Lewis, a New York City dermatologist. It works on all skin types, but the facialist should do it only on clean skin. Bottom line: Do it.

EXTRACTIONS. “Attacking a pimple on your own causes redness and swelling, because your fingers carry bacteria,” explains Doris Day, a New York City dermatologist. “A comedone extractor—which is more precise than gloved fingers—can clear a pimple or a blackhead with less trauma.” If your skin is sensitive, the extractor may cause mild redness or irritation. Bottom line: Proceed with caution.

MASKS. Soothing and exfoliating masks tend to have the best results, but doctors are less laudatory of collagen masks: “Topical collagen cannot penetrate the skin,” says Leslie Baumann, a Miami Beach dermatologist. As for antioxidant masks, “the ingredients begin to work on the surface to neutralize environmental damage, so there may be some benefit,” says Day. OXYGEN. Pressurized oxygen is said to drive wrinkle-fighting serums deeper into skin. But, says Baumann, the treatment can “increase free radicals, which lead to aging.” Bottom line: Skip it.

PEELS. Experts agree that any peel with glycolic, salicylic, malic, lactic, or citric acid will exfoliate skin's top layer more effectively than will a grainy scrub. There is also evidence that a high-concentration AHA peel (20 to 30 percent) can increase collagen production. “This is where you should spend your money,” Baumann says.

If this information are not enough, then you can go to your personal dermatologist in nursing uniform or scrub uniforms to inquire. Anyway if facial can give you self esteem and confidence then why not give a try. Self confidence is worth our money, right? On the other hand if you are already contented and satisfied with the face that you have and you are confident enough to face other people with it, then why not spend your money on more important things than facial, eh.

Today I happened to read on Yahoo.Shine a list of the ugliest shoes ever. Whew! They are really that hideous and very horrible to look at. So since I happened to be interested on this topic, I took a lurk on the web regarding these shoes, and you know what, there are actually varied unattractive shoes in the land. Even nursing shoes are very attractive in comparison with these shoes and I don't think that men and women in corporate uniforms will ever used these. Oh well those who are into fashion can start to wear these shoes and be the laughingstock of the company he /she is working. Here are some of the one these shoes:

Just like two sanitary napkins rolled into a slipper. Looking at this slippers makes me think of blood and menstruation period.
